Fantastic experience: I've been to a few gyms in my time, but none compare to BWPT. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a smile and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. The equipment is top-notch, and the facilities are always clean and well-maintained. What truly sets this gym apart are the personal trainers. Sam, Chiv, and Ben are not only incredibly knowledgeable and skilled, but they're also some of the friendliest people you'll ever meet. They take the time to understand your goals and create a personalized workout plan that's both challenging and fun. They're always there to offer encouragement and support, pushing you to reach your full potential. Fantastic experience: I have been a member of BWPT for a long time now. I did leave and went off to another gym with a swimming pool etc but I came back as soon as I could. I missed the strength training with a PT and the gym community that always makes sessions enjoyable.

Fantastic experience: The guys at BWPT are the most supportive, encouraging, enthusiastic group of PT’s I have ever met. I have been a member of a number of gyms throughout my lifetime but this is the only gym I have stuck with. In fact, I have been so impressed with how these guys work that I have now been a member for 8 years. I go every week and every session is carefully thought out, achievable, and enjoyable. I feel much fitter and much stronger as a result.

Fantastic experience: I joined BWPT a few months ago and what a welcoming friendly Gym to go too.. I suffer with anxiety and every time I was due to go I had an argument with myself. The staff make every time a little earlier and supported me all the way. All the people using the gym are super friendly and welcoming too. Highly recommend BWPT.
Fantastic experience: I'm not normally a 'gym person' so it took me a while to feel confident to join , but I'm so glad I did. I was nervous at first but the marketing blub is genuine. Ben, Sam and Shiv are all so welcoming, encouraging, supportive and understanding. It's a non intimidating and friendly club. All ages, shapes, sizes and levels of fitness turn up and the trainers tailor each session to your own ability. There's no drill sergeant shaming, there are no burpees, there are no posers (and no mirrors!). It's inclusive, full of banter, music and fun and I genuinely look forward to going each time.
Fantastic experience: The trainers are great, always making sure every guest isn't over-training but also that we're working our best, and ensuring there is a spot or safety when needed - how they manage to lead the group in fun banter and still maintain that one-on-one information exchange is fantastic. The group atmosphere is particularly fun, with everyone getting involved in encouraging each other during the finishing exercises, I've been here for almost 2 months and every session has been great all round

Fantastic experience: I joined BWPT earlier this year after going through an incredibly tough life changing event, primarily to give myself a focus - improving my health. I’ve spent years joining gyms, working out at home, at slimming clubs, trying new exercise groups to get fitter and healthier but have always found myself failing after missing a session or two or after having a bad week. I can honestly say that BWPT has changed all of that. I have never stuck at something so long and actually enjoyed it. Not only has it improved my physical health, lowering my Hba1c, but I have found it more helpful for my mental health than the counselling I have received. The groups are sociable, the coaches are motivating without being pushy and the sessions are achievable but stretching. I always leave feeling positive and proud of myself and am able to see progress in my ability every single session. I don’t dread going to the gym anymore and I’ve made some great friends along the way. I can’t thank the team at BWPT enough for keeping me motivated through a time when I had a million valid excuses not to have been and I would highly recommend anyone thinking of joining to do so. You won’t regret it.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend BWPT! If you are thinking of joining, just do it! It is a brilliant combination of a straightforward gym and a very well-organised system/structure of small group personal training, ‘Strong’ and ‘Sweat’ classes. I’ve found the way it works, including booking onto sessions in advance, via the TeamUp app, and the general team spirit, ensures accountability and encourages me to go, when I could so easily decide not to at the last minute otherwise. I also like that if I’m exhausted and struggling to find the energy after a long day in work, at least I don’t have to think about the workout, I just have to find the energy to do the workout, which somehow I manage to do, and to push harder than I would otherwise! The coaches’ and other members’ energy gives me the energy to keep up or push myself harder than I would be able to on my own, or in another gym. It is a great environment! Ben, Sam, Mason and Mark are all excellent coaches, ensuring you get the technique right and providing the encouragement and motivation to push yourself harder, and with them and fellow members also giving you the confidence to do so. The location for me is so convenient too, ensuring minimal time out of my day/evening, maximising the chances of being able to fit in a session and removing another excuse for not doing so! Once there, the fact a workout has been worked out/planned for you eliminates the time and effort/thought that might otherwise slow me down, or reduce the momentum. This all ensures I don’t have to dedicate any more time than is absolutely necessary, eliminates excuses for not going, maximises the opportunities to go, ensures I get maximum benefit for the time dedicated to it, that I enjoy it more than I would otherwise, that I push myself more, and I feel so good for it at the end! So how would I summarise BWPT: Convenience Accountability Energy Confidence Camaraderie Coaching and motivation Minimal time Maximum benefit and ‘feel good’
Fantastic experience: I really enjoy this gym. I joined BWPT in May to build my confidence and strength after 10 months of intensive treatment. The trainers are approachable, understanding and encouraging (but not pushy). The members are all friendly and like minded and supportive and for the first time ever I'm happy to go to the gym. I would highly recommend.

The trainers are really friendly and approachable and it's a great group of people that go there. The sessions are tough but they work - I'm stronger and fitter than any other time in my life. Fantastic experience: A joined BWPT in December of 2023, after many many years of putting off going to a gym. Having lost a lot of weight I knew I wanted to fitter and therefore healthier. Id been to a well known gym and started really motivated, but the motivation faided quickly. Ben gently persuaded me to give BWPT a go, after several months of talking I bit the bullet and did a couple sessions with Ben & Mason. I was nervous as hell, but I have to say I enjoyed it. BWPT is not part of my life, I am going 3-4 tines a week and loving it. Ben, Mason and Sam are excellent. They push you to work hard whilst enjoying a good chat. Groups of about 406 people mean that I get the help and direction I need to learn and develop. Thanks guys, I never thought I would say I look forward to going to a gym.
Fantastic experience: I joined BWPT 3 months ago and I can honestly say it's one of the best decisions I've made for my health, fitness and wellbeing. Before BWPT, I was a member of a local gym doing the same old stuff and not progressing. BWPT is totally different! Each small group session is mapped out by Ben, Mason and Sam. The team are knowledgeable, professional, friendly and encouraging and I feel in safe hands! I am now doing a mixture of weights and cardio sessions and feel stronger and fitter already. Fantastic experience: I joined BWPT at the start of 2023 after a period of inactivity with sciatica. I had always thought that I was quite fit through running and cycling, but I wasn't strong. I had never lifted weights before. BWPT is unlike traditional gyms where you get an induction and then left to your own devices. Sessions are run in small friendly groups. Ben, Mason and Sam guide you through the exercise programs which are very varied. They are encouraging and help you to push yourself in each class. There is a simple app that allows you to book your classes up to 3 months in advance. Everybody at the gym is very friendly and supportive, and over a year later I feel so much stronger.

Fantastic experience: We love the sessions at BWTP. It is a unique gym. Incredibly supportive and friendly community. We train with like-minded members, instructed by some brilliant trainers. We are so much stronger and fitter than we used to be. And feel so good, both physically and mentally. Fantastic gym.
Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend Ben and the team strongly enough. They create an excellent environment to train in, finding the right balance between their levels of professionalism, expert advice, motivation and learning. Perhaps the best, and often most important part, is they vary the sessions to ensure they remain personally challenging, interesting but fun!! Fantastic experience: I can honestly say this is the nicest gym Iv been to. Having had a break from fitness and feeling a little bit nervous to go back to a commercial gym I found BWPT pop up on my Facebook and had a “bugger it” moment and decided to reach out. Not only did the team welcome me with open arms and ease me back into fitness in a way that made me love it again, I also gained some friends for life while I was there. If you are reading this thinking…”should I?”…just do it, I promise you won’t regret it. I’m now a year or two down the line, Iv lost a tonne of weight, toned up, I feel SO much better and Iv got my confidence and self esteem back. Fantastic experience: Joined in October after a period of injury and just generally finding it hard to get back into proper exercise - and loving it! Really friendly, supportive and knowledgable staff and equally friendly and supportive members. Sessions are tough, you’re pushed hard but it’s so worth it. Every session is different, with really varied exercises and routines building on what you achieved the week before. Great atmosphere, good choice of class timings and easy booking app. Love it.
Fantastic experience: I joined BWPT 2 months ago, and I’m absolutely loving it! After years of trying mainstream gyms and diets, that only lasted weeks, I heard about BWPT and decided to give it a go. The last 2 months I have really enjoyed, and I’ve never felt better. I’m already noticing a difference in myself, physically and mentally. My attitude has changed to exercise now, and I don’t feel like it’s a chore. I leave a session smiling and looking forward to the next one. The atmosphere at the gym is great! The team at BWPT are supportive, friendly and professional. Fantastic experience: I've never felt welcome or at home in a gym environment. Until I came to BWPT! Everyone is supportive, and the coaches are so good at motivation. I can feel my attitude toward exercise shifting every time I come and the improvements are very real. Classes are easily bookable via the app which also makes this work well around work and family. It is a leap in cost if you're used to the cheaper gym options, but I feel I am getting absolute value for every penny!
Fantastic experience: After being relatively fit, a combination of a new baby, lockdown and an injury meant that my fitness regime dwindled. Once I knew iI wanted to try and get fitter again, I visited a couple of gyms but did not feel they were right. BWPT popped up on my instagram feed and it sounded great. From my first contact, I felt at ease and in the hands of people who both understand and have excellent fitness knowledge. What has stood out for me is that every visit I make is mapped for me, I don’t have to work out what to do. This is helping me make progress and is positively challenging me. At all times, I feel I understand the exercises I am doing and that everyone is there to help me do them well. I am pleased there is nutrition advice available when i am ready. Ben, Mason and Sam are fantastic coaches who are friendly, knowledgeable and supportive. I never feel that a workout is the same, even if there are core exercises that are used. I am so pleased I found BWPT and took the step to feeling better in myself. It’s a great place with a great culture!
Fantastic experience: I joined BWPT 18 months ago. After having my two children, I was feeling unfit, sluggish and tired of doing the same type exercise day in day out and not really improving. BWPT have turned that around for me! They have a put together a really well thought out programme for everyone. They know their stuff! As someone who likes to understand things, I love how Ben explains why we are doing the exercises, the progressions, and what effect they are having. Ben, Mase, and Sam are always welcoming with huge smiles on their faces. They challenge us but always encourage us. Even if you have not done any exercise for years, you should not feel afraid of joining - exercises can be tailored to suit your ability and fitness and the instructors (and members) are all supportive. Classes are at various times throughout the day and evening and easy to book on the App, so really flexible for busy lives. I would highly recommend BWPT!
Fantastic experience: Brilliant gym which has managed to kickstart me back into fitness. Fantastic skilled coaches who motivate and advise, and make all sessions fun and enjoyable while achieving great results. I thought I was too busy for the gym, juggling full time work and being a parent, but the flexibility of sessions times is very good and the sessions are so productive. I feel stronger and healthier than I have for years! So grateful to BWPT for all their support.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely love this place, it’s not a gym it’s a family! I’ve been going for 4/5 years now and look forward to every session - we work hard but we have fun and a laugh at the same time! The trainers, Sam, Ben and Mason are just awesome they know what you are able to do and encourage you to go that little bit further or hit your next PB at the same time as making you feel like you’ve achieved something, even on a ‘bad’ day!! Fantastic experience: Iv been with Bwpt for around 6 months now and I can’t rate them high enough! When I joined I knew I wasn’t fat but I felt unfit and uncomfortable in my body. As a mum of two heading for fourty I wanted to shift that stubborn stone and I just couldn’t budge the scales at home. I had never been to a gym before, The though of going was very daunting. I wouldn’t of known where to start I was also worried that everyone would be fit and watching and judging me. At Bwpt I feel so welcome and part of a family, everyone is there for similar reasons and I don’t feel judged at all. The team are fantastic, they don’t just leave you to it, they help you through your workout, encouraging and making sure you are doing it right. They don’t just help in the gym they are there to answer any question I have even when I’m not in the gym. They help with nutrition, and have got me eating healthy with every meal. I have in the short time I have been here shifted the weight I wanted. I feel so much healthier and fitter, I can’t thank them enough.
Fantastic experience: Ben does a fantastic job of explaining the what, why, and how. It’s not a one size fits all approach, every detail is tailored following a discussion of what my aims are; from exercise to nutrition. As well as a fitness programme I receive guidance on nutritional intake and recommended food to fend off times when I’d otherwise indulge in unhealthy treats. The whole idea of going to a ‘big’ gym fills me with dread and intimidation but there’s none of that here. The understanding and professionalism from Ben makes him an amazing coach and a perfect fit for me.

Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend BWPT highly enough! I honestly thought it would be a nightmare trying to lose weight that has gradually crept on over the course of three unhealthy years of eating rubbish, drinking most weekends and doing no exercise. Since joining, I’ve felt nothing but support and positivity. I’ve lost an incredible amount of weight in such little time and have enjoyed not only working 1:1 with my trainer but also in a small group. This is the first time I have ever changed my food lifestyle and considered the bigger picture, the nutritional information is superb and allows you to consider the science behind what you eat. I receive regular e- mails suggesting exercises I can do at home all to suit my needs, a regular check in from Ben and a friendly atmosphere when you walk through the doors. If you want to change the way you think about food, feel about your body and do it with people who genuinely care about your results then BWPT is for you!
Fantastic experience: I had hit an all time low in myself, having put on loads of weight during covid I had zero confidence left, did not want to go out and see friends in case I shocked them with my weight gain, all I wanted to do was hide at home in my big baggy PJ's. I knew I needed a change and was trying to do it myself but it was not working then 6 weeks ago on FB I saw a post about BWPT that has changed me for the better. Ben, Mason and Sam welcomed me into the BWPT family and from my first session I knew I had found the right place for me. The training sessions are all tailor made to suit my abilities and I like that the classes are small so I cannot get away with slacking:) After 6 weeks I have already noticed a big change in my appearance, I have lost 5 kgs and looking forward to the next 5. I cannot thank the team enough for showing me the ropes and making me feel so at home. You guys rock.
Fantastic experience: On the recommendation of two female friends and inspired by their fitness levels I joined BWPT in November 2021. What a great place! I’ve been fortunate to have sessions with each of Ben’s very friendly and professional team. Their knowledge, expert advice and motivation has been second to none and in a really short time they’ve helped me grow in confidence and I’m now doing exercises I’d never have dreamt of doing 8 weeks ago. Fantastic experience: Before joining BWPT I hated anything to do with exercise, now I love it. I look forward to each session as I know I will work hard and be supported by the amazing PT’s. Since changing to the fit4life program it’s been great, sharing sessions with other likeminded people who constantly encourage each other and helps you to push yourself even further. Fantastic experience: I’ve been working with BWPT for about 6 months now and I really can’t say enough positive things. After getting a medical diagnosis last year I wanted to focus my mind on getting stronger and healthier physically and when I approached these guys they were exactly what I needed. The facilities at the gym are great and particularly during COVID they’ve taken loads of extra steps to make us all feel safe. Even during lockdowns they didn’t miss a beat and basically emptied the gym into our living rooms so we could continue on zoom! The best bit though is the mentality of the Trainers and support they offer. If you’re not a gym bunny and feel a bit self conscious, like I did, these guys will make you feel really welcome and will take a genuine interest in helping you set and achieve your fitness goals.

Fantastic experience: I joined BWPT in the summer of 2017, having put on weight and lost my exercise mojo. From the outset I felt welcome and valued, not judged or patronised. Over these last four years I’ve learned a great deal about things I thought I knew - how to eat healthily, how to make exercise actually work. The PTs are all superb but it’s great to be able to develop a one-to-one relationship with your allocated trainer, so they can work with your individual needs and bring a tailored approach. BWPT has seen me through some tough times - work stress, bereavement, even a global pandemic - and I cannot recommend it highly enough. It is fun, friendly and unpretentious, and being a member has genuinely changed my life.

His technique is scientific but accessible and thanks to him I've managed to incorporate an intense, results-based , programme into a normal busy life. Fantastic experience: As a busy mum and working woman, I struggled to combine long hours and personal fitness. The personal fitness came second and as time went by, the weight went on and my fitness declined. My mojo dived as I hit the perimenopause. Before I joined BWPT, I was a stone and a half heavier, I couldn't stand on one leg to put my tights on, I couldn’t get up off a low chair without an effort, I couldn’t trot up the stairs and I wouldn’t run anywhere, ever! Ben Winter, Jack Sealy, Mase Winter and newest recruit Lewis are an amazing team. Within 6 months, I had lost a stone, lost inches, regained my fitness and my mojo. Five years on, my week is worked around my PT sessions. The PTs all bring their different styles, but no work-out is ever the same and they mix up Pilates, yoga, weight training and cardio. I can’t recommend the team highly enough and feel lucky to be part of the BWPT family.

Ben and the team are astounding in their knowledge, encouragement and ability to motivate, and to top it all they’re the kindest people. A tough workout is much easier with them around. Fantastic experience: Never been interested in going to the Gym because of the perception that normally comes with it. I started with BWPT with that exact preconceived opinion, how totally wrong was I! I was made to feel at total ease as soon as I walked through the door. AMAZING GYM, AMAZING WORKOUTS! They know how to push you to the limit in the best way possible with your workouts. The whole team and clients are like one big Family and there is no turning back for me!
Fantastic experience: I’ve only been at BWPT just under 2 months but it’s been a game changer! Everyone is so supportive and encouraging. I’ve gone from being scared of the feeling of my heart pounding to smashing rowing and hill sprints (thanks Lewis!) and lifting weights now with ease that I couldn’t even lift off the floor a few months ago. I’ve never had that endorphin feeling from exercise before but the academy classes are so motivating and fun so I always leave with a big smile on my face and buzzing after an hour of working out with lovely ladies and awesome trainers! I’ve been so shocked at how my body has changed too (lost 5 inches off my hips in the first month plus more elsewhere) and feel fitter and stronger than I think I’ve ever felt. Ben, Mase, Jack and Lewis are fantastic and I’d certainly recommend the BWPT Team to everyone.
Fantastic experience: I first started training with Ben at BWPT in April 2020 (lockdown 1) - large group PT sessions all over Zoom. Since Sept 2020 Ben setup smaller group sessions of 3 people, for more targeted PT work, again all over Zoom. I've always been into my fitness and relatively fit/healthy but Ben has managed to get the next level out of my body. In 4 months I managed to cut almost all extra body fat (down to about 11-12%), lost 17Kgs and was very much stronger. Ben has a huge depth to his health and fitness knowledge and is always a pleasure to train with. Note - I'm an online client only so can't comment on the BWPT studio itself. Keep up the great work BWPT Team!

Fantastic experience: Ben and his team do an amazing job. Hard work but they get results. I used to train with Ben and his 1:1 is excellent. Now that I move away to London his Zoom sessions kept me going through Lockdown. Fantastic team, highly recommended for all levels.
Fantastic experience: Simply put - they are the best. Ben has put together one of the friendliest, helpful, inspiring and knowledgeable teams I have even come across. Everyone is there to help you and reach your goals, whatever they may be. If you are intimidated by training and don't know where to start, or just need a push in the right direction these guys are the place to go. From workouts to nutrition plans they look after every aspect of your life to make sure you are the best you can be. Wouldn't be where I am today without them, both mind and body. The perfect team!
Fantastic experience: BWPT have found the real me. I came to them at the beginning of 2017 as an overweight, unfit, depressed 44 year old man who was struggling with fitness and the energy required to be a good father and family man, I was struggling mentally to deal with being slow and unfit as I was such an active person until my mid twenties. After a lot of soul searching I contacted BWPT through a friend. My first meeting was hard for me, there were tears and honesty, but I found in Ben someone who empathised and knew exactly what I needed to do. He gave me a programme I felt I could keep to and introduced me to my trainer Shaun Langson, within 5 months I had lost almost 3 stone and was at my fittest since my early twenties. To say they have revolutionised my life is an understatement, they have saved it! I am happier than I have ever been, I have the positivity of a 20 year old me and my family now have an energetic Dad who is always active and smiling, my kids even love keeping fit with me now as it is a way of life for us. Not only have I gained so much, exercise is now a part of my daily routine, I don't even have to think about it, lots of little tweaks make for a big change and I have learned so much from this team of amazing people. I also have a bunch of new friends who help me every step of the way. The experience has had a positive impact of every single aspect of my life! If like me you want to make a change and want to get fit or improve your life these are the guys to come and see.

Fantastic experience: The team at Bristol Wellness Personal Training (BWPT) are friendly, knowledgeable and foster a supportive, nonjudgmental environment of like-minded people. Charlie has guided me (and my weak ankle after 5 years of on/off physio following an operation) to a physical ability that has set me up for for exploring other physical opportunities that I thought were not possible (me, Spin classes?!) whilst Ben's guidance has improved my family's diets. If you want to be a better version of yourself, but do not know where to start; Are frustrated by the advice of sweetner-pushing diet clubs; Or, are looking to supplement your gym sessions with tailored and targeted PT - call them. I am a strong advocate of the empowerment of informed knowledge: to know what effect a timely food item or exercise has on your body drives better decision making. This is not a diet-by-numbers but an educated lifestyle change that the purchase of book alone could not help me achieve. I cannot recommend Ben Bwpt and the team enough.
Fantastic experience: I started personal training because I wanted to tone up and feel good about myself but being female I found training in a public gym with a personal trainer too male dominated and I felt uncomfortable with people watching me. I found Ben three years ago and I've never looked back, he made me feel relaxed and confident, we set achievebale goals and I can now say that I look and feel good in a bikini! :-) Ben is friendly and professional
Fantastic experience: I have had PT sessions with Ben for approximately two years. Most of the time I have joint sessions with a good friend and occasionally I have sessions on my own. I can honestly say I love personal training with Ben. I think it is far far better value than belonging to a gym because I work far harder than I would if I just plod along at a gym. Every week is different and varied and fun (Ben has a great sense of humour and a repertoire of funny stories!). If time and money allowed then I would definitely go more. Ben is also very knowledgeable about diet, so if you want to lose weight then it's definitely worth attending his sessions. However, Ben is also worth visiting if you want to improve fitness, maintain fitness, tone up, or rehabilitate after a sports injury. If you have been thinking about PT for a while but not sure then please do it and give Ben a call!
Fantastic experience: I have been training with Ben for a couple of years. A friend and I share a session each week and we don't like to miss it. Every session is different which keeps it interesting and helps me achieve the all round fitness I want. Ben really pushes us to be the best we can be, but the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. Not only is Ben a fab trainer but he keeps us entertained with his anecdotes and fabulous sense of humour. On top of this, the gym is easy to get to and has plenty of free parking which is not always the case in Bristol.
