Welcome to Sudbury ABC, a historic and vibrant amateur boxing club deeply rooted in the community since its founding in 1958. As proud members of the Amateur Boxing Association of England (ABAE), we offer a professional and supportive environment where individuals from the age of 8 can discover the discipline, fitness, and skills of the noble art of boxing. With a roster of over 70 active members, our club is dedicated to nurturing talent and promoting healthy lifestyles through structured training and mentorship.

Our program is designed for all ages, allowing participants to begin training at age 8 and compete officially from age 11 up to 40. Under the expert tutorship of our dedicated head coach, Neil Anderson, and his team, boxers develop not only technical proficiency but also the character attributes required for success in the ring and in everyday life. Whether you are a complete beginner looking to get fit or an experienced fighter aiming for national glory, Sudbury ABC provides the guidance and facilities to help you reach your potential.

With a rich history of success, our boxers have consistently represented the club and the region at high levels. Our achievements include multiple semi-finalists in Junior and Youth ABA Championships, national schoolboy and schoolgirl titles, and international recognition. Notably, members have reached the England Talent Program and represented England at the Three Nations Tournament. Our club has also secured medals at prestigious international competitions, including the Monkstown Box Cup in Dublin, the Harringay Box Cup, the Hull Box Cup, the MTK Box Cup, and the Golden Girl Box Cup in Sweden, demonstrating our commitment to excellence on the global stage.

We host regular Open Shows at the Sudbury Rugby Club, providing a platform for our boxers to showcase their skills and for the community to enjoy exciting amateur bouts. Beyond the ring, we offer fitness training sessions and Sunday running meets, ensuring a holistic approach to athletic development.
