Negative experience: people making fun of my accent and staff did nothing to stop it from happening I could even see them smiling a little

Negative experience: I am very disappointed in this leisure centre. It was disgusting. There was pee on the floor and also there was poo on the seats. I was also rudely insulted by one of your staff. I was called fat. Sadly I did not get the name of the staff as I was kicked out because I argued back after the staff member called me fat. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PLACE!!

Negative experience: I’m not joking when I say this. I walked into the toilet facility’s and there was poo on the ceiling. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. There was also pee all over the floor. Also the staff were very rude during the assault course on water. They need train their staff better or else I, and many others will not be coming back. I DO NOT TOLERATE THE SANITY IN THE TOILETS.

Negative experience: Used to be great, now no lockers available in the corridor even at 21:30 when there are less than 5 people in the gym. Several lockers in changing room are out of order. Sometimes no access to changing room to use the limited lockers due to cleaning so have to take bag onto gym floor, where there are signs saying not to do this. Some cardio equipment removed to make way for unpopular, gimmicky machines, other cardio machines switched off to save money. 6 weeks to fix a stairmaster. Several other machines have cables not maintained so become loose over time. Seated leg press has a large crack in the footplate which when it fully goes will leave somebody crippled. But on the plus side, with all these issues over the past few months, membership price has increased!!

Positive experience: Decent gym could be cleaner

Fantastic experience: I am so so grateful to the loveliest lady on the front desk, in all the chaos I forgot to catch her name. My 3 year old daughter fell over outside on our way to swimming lessons while I was carrying my 1 year old son, the lady came rushing outside straight away with some wipes, carried her inside for me as my hands were already full and gave her a plaster. I was so blown away my kindness. My daughter still wanted to swim and after her lesson we went to say thank you to her for helping us, she had a packet of sweets ready to give my daughter for being brave. An absolutely lovely lady who deserves to be recognised by going out of her way to help us! I was definitely holding back the tears as I was so so so grateful to her for helping more than you could even know in that situation. Hero!!!

Positive experience: Great leisure centre really, a lot is modern, and some aging but in good condition. The only area that needs some attention, and has done for some time are the changing facilities for the swimming baths, they are functional but unfortunately honk. Staff are always very friendly and helpful.

Positive experience: Very lovely pool would recommend the only reason I've given 4 stars and not 5 is the males toilets were awful there was poo all over the toilet seats and the urinals were all closed and the other reason is because there were teenage boys just jumping in doing a boom and splashing me and you girlfriend and were very rude and splashing other people just trying to have fun and enjoy thereselfs and the lifeguard on duty just didn't care and sat there staring at the roof looked very bored and he just didn't care at all wasn't paying any attention to the pool at all but other then that it was very easy to book over the phone and the prices were reasonable.

Fantastic experience: This is a well equipped and generally well organised centre. The pool and changing areas are good (though by no means luxurious) and there's a big gym and various exercise studios. Staff are friendly. It would be great if it had a cafe and permanent staff in the gym.

Fantastic experience: Always a lovely visit

Positive experience: The whole place is tired, the changing rooms need a refresh, the gym equipment is old and needs updating and the toilets in the changing room smells like a dark alley way that’s been used as a toilet by drunks on a Saturday night. Plus side the pool is nice and clean although alittle cold.

Positive experience: A decent swimming pool. Very wide lanes, so plenty of room to pass. A good changing village and the price was very reasonable for pay as you go. The pool water was slightly cold and the area wasn't very bright. Could also do with more pressure in the showers.

Fantastic experience: Best gym I’ve been to, the memberships are a high but fair price for what you get. Amazing experience with everyone who works there, very clean gym equipment (from the times I’ve been there anyway), always have the fans running so during heatwaves this year was a relief stepping in, and easy to get not busy times! Also very clean and spacious changing rooms :))

Fantastic experience: Firstly being a disabled pensioner I do not visit the leisure centre to use the facilities so cannot comment too much on that side but I make regular visits with my grandchild several times a week for swimming lessons as I have done for almost 10 years.Being an site manager for two locals schools up to retirement 10 years ago one thing I do notice closely is the cleanliness of the changing facilities area which up until recently have left a lot to be desired,however I now note since early December last year a massive noticeable improvement in the cleanliness of the said area and facilities,so big compliment to the cleaning lady who I now see making a big impression on what has sadly been neglected somewhat in the past.I feel further investment in a rotary floor scrubber would make much more significant improvement to the ceramic tile flooring and remove all the unsightly limescale residues which have built up over many years and further enhance the quality and appearance of the facilities.

Fantastic experience: Swimming lanes 7-8 AM, only 8 people most mornings in the medium speed lane; water temperature perfect for me. Sauna always has very few people. Gym equipment training just what I needed. Staff always friendly and helpful.

Fantastic experience: Great local leisure centre with fantastic helpful staff and competitive prices plus you have to book on a app so you can see how busy it will be

Fantastic experience: Just recently joined after being at another local gym for 2 years and, I cannot recommend the leisure highly enough. The staff welcome you as soon as you walk in, the other gym users regardless of if they known you or not always say hello! The facilities are immaculate in every way. I wish I had joined 2 years ago it is that good!!!

Negative experience: Can never get through on the phone, even between 9pm an 10pm. Someone just sits there and ignores the phone. His happens alot. Can't use app as that doesn't work properly.

Positive experience: Great little centre. Staff are always friendly and the gym is never over crowded. The pool is pretty basic so great for swimming lessons, not much by way of fun for kids, Doncaster Dome would be a better choice if you are taking your kids swimming. Great centre though

Fantastic experience: Staff are very friendly and helpful without being forward. Facilitices are abundant and clean. Gym is extensive and got enough equipment even for peak times. Nice gym.

Negative experience: Impossible to book a family swim accessing both pools. Big conglomerates only interested in making money. Miss the days I could just go for a swim when I felt like it, especially with grandkids and unpredictable weather.

Positive experience: Pool was filthy and barring the lady on reception the staff were snippy. Complained about the pool to someone resembling a manager but just got a mansplain about chlorine for my trouble and I wasn't the only one who complained

Fantastic experience: I've never had a problem with this place. Been coming here for myself & my children on and off for the last 30 years. Staff are always polite & friendly, I've never had a reason to complain

Positive experience: Good all round leisure centre. I use the gym a lot rather than the pool. The gym is decent although the cardio equipment I feel needs updating. There are plenty of machines and in the 2 years I have been going I think I have only had to wait a few times for a piece of equipment. Lots of free weights very spacious, i would definitely recommend. Staff are very helpful and friendly, it’s clean and overall I would recommend.

Fantastic experience: I booked 3 personal training sessions to help me overcome my lack of confidence after a recent health issue. The trainer, Amy, was brilliant and I am now pushing forward with my fitness and feeling much more comfortable in the gym. A brilliant centre with great staff.

Positive experience: Great price for swimming but the kids pool is very murky with alot of bits floating around the pool.

Positive experience: Went for a swim, the facilities are okay. Took a while to get in as no receptionist on duty. Had a quick tour of the gym which looks quite good.

Negative experience: Takes direct debit under slm not everyone active, I thought I had cancelled mine because I couldn’t see there name on my bank list, they will not refund the last 3 payments they have taken without my permission even though I did the decent thing and emailed at the start to cancel my membership. Not a good company

Positive experience: It's very good for kids that are learning to swim! I went to watch my nephew have a lesson. The viewing area upstairs is extremely warm and not fit to be in for long. That's the only reason it's only got four out of five!

Fantastic experience: This swimming pool has a lovely open feeling to it. The big picture windows has glorious views and the ceiling is high. The pool itself is a comfortable temperature and clients and staff were courteous. The changing village was clean and the lockers give you back your £1. Brilliant value for a swim too!.

Positive experience: Kids have swimming lessons here, apart from having a covid alert sign on the door and a sanitiser station it's pretty much back to normal.

Fantastic experience: Best value for money gym/swim/ classes/ and not tied to a contract. The facilities are excellent with some top of the range equipment, full toning suite for people starting out, sauna, salt room and steam room with relaxing area. Loads of virtual classes as well as instructed ones in included. All the facilities are clean, loads of antibacterial spray to use in all areas, the staff are so friendly and welcoming, by far the best gym I've been to. The free day pass is great so you can see what they offer.

Fantastic experience: So glad that centre is open again. Lots of things have been put in place to make covid secure. You can check in when you arrive by scanning the nhs bar code. We only ever visit the pool and have really missed byweekly swim. I booked online and prepaid with the app. Then use you our everyone active card to scan through the barrier 5 mins before your slot. There is lots of advice on website. Overall very happy, felt safe and plenty of staff on to advise.

Positive experience: They couldn't help my wife with her enquiries. They said someone would call her back and guess what....that's right they didn't. She returned to try again and was told they couldn't call her because of COVID. It's starting to become the norm now, promise to do something, then don't do it and use COVID as the reason. It's amazing how COVID is the reason for poor customer service.

Positive experience: Nice and clean but to hot , turn down the thermostat

Fantastic experience: After many many years being unfit, i decided to visit gainsborough leisure centre after being invited to look around the facilities. I was very impressed and took out a membership straight away, if you want help there are staff to help you, if not there'll let you crack on at your own pace. Plenty of up to date equipment, machines and free weights. I'm hooked already.

Fantastic experience: Rejoined the gym here at the end of 2019 after being at another local gym for years. I think there is a great range of new equipment (after the refurbishment) and can always access the machines I want even at peak times so far. The sauna and steam room are great. Staff are always friendly - it's a highly recommended from me.

Positive experience: Obviously they are investing in the Gym & Studio aspects of the centre, unfortunately the swimming pool changing facilities and especially the toilets need refurbishment... cracked and stained toilet seats are really not acceptable. And wash basins and taps are regularly dirty... they do not seem to be regularly cleaned.

Positive experience: Most of the staff are friendly but the facilities are always a bit dirty. My children go swimming and the instructors are lovely. But had a kids party here and had an awful, rude girl who stood by my side most if the time hurrying me along and reminding me that they had another party, even stopped the kids from eating half way through so she could get them out . Complained to management but didn't seem to care less, told me we had the allotted time and she was in the right . Would never book a party again.

Negative experience: Had high hopes for this place. i used to be taken as a kid to the pool. As an adult and returning to the area, I joined the gym for a year, a lot more than I would have paid in the city, where i lived in Nottingham for 30 years before being back in the area. The showers and general cleanliness is so poor its like the staff just cant be bothered. I complained about the state of the showers, covered in mould. Things improved for a few weeks but soon lapsed. This is a serious health risk in my book. The back wall of the communal shower is a darker tile and shows up mould like a sign post. It is not cleaned properly. Also the floor, although I am assured the floor is cleaned at the end of each day, it is not, as can be seen by dry fluff and hair.
