Negative experience: DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THIS GYM! I asked to cancel my membership via email WEEKS AGO and still no response. Called them, and the "customer service" was ABSOLUTE NO SENSE !Told me to cancel my direct debit myself and that there's "nothing they can do" . Um, isn't that literally their job?! I'm cancelling because I can't attend anymore, not because I want to be a hassle, but you'd never know it from their attitude! Feels like they think I'm an idiot . Treated poorly on the phone, and the receptionist was the only decent human being I spoke to . Until they sort out their customer service (and train their staff), I'd say AVOID this gym at all costs! UPDATE: Just cancelled my direct debit. Good riddance!

Negative experience: If o could give it half of star or none, I will do it. I go to that gym 10 years now and I am fed up. The owner or whatever that man it is represent, everything that you don't want in customer service. He cancel memberships or increase price whenever he wants, he shouting at people and he see himself as the centre of the Universe. What once was a beautiful space, is now reduced to a dirty/sad place. Half of the size, dirty, no soap in the bathrooms, no pool, no sauna, no steam room, nothing to look like a gym atmosphere. If you paid for your membership be aware that anytime you can expect cancellation without warning although you are expected to give them one month notice. SCAM, UNPROFESSIONAL, DIRTY PLACE, POOR/UNEXISTENT FACILITIES. TO BE AVOIDED!!!

Fantastic experience: I'm going to this gym since 15yrs,Never had any issues.Big and lovely space to use ladies have they own place, and price is good too, Yes they used to have everything but after lock down I think they only focusing on gym. Staff is always Helpful, and never had any issue with the Management actually I seen many times owner is walking around the club, checking the things, talking with members and he Dose the workout too. Overall I'm happy with Manor Gym.

Fantastic experience: I've been training at this local gym for almost 4 years. The reception staff are incredibly friendly and professional. The Scottish owner/manager is highly professional and genuinely cares for the gym's members, always offering a warm welcome every day. The gym is spotless, and the new equipment is top-of-the-line, not easily found anywhere else in England. The swimming pool and sauna provide the perfect way to unwind after a workout. Everything is maintained at the highest standard. The local members are kind and always ready to share advice and new exercise ideas. I absolutely love this place, and with shops nearby, it's very convenient. It's also not far from central London, so you can't beat the combination of location, service, and atmosphere.

Negative experience: Attention! This gym is full of thieves! Do not register with this gym! And don’t make any cash payments to them! I had a membership before they made the changes! I read the advertisement on Google the other day and came to register. The lady checked that I had a membership before but didn’t explain anything to me and warned me that half of the facilities the gym doesn’t have anymore! They took £75 from me, so when I went there the next day, I realised there were a lot of changes, which weren’t very pleasant. I went to the receptionist straight away. I explained to the young male in the reception , and he was the only one who apologised . He confirmed that the lady who registered me was supposed to let me know, as she saw in the system that I had a membership before the changes! He told me to come and see the manager the next day. I came the next day, but the manager started to tell me some stories about COVID-19, explaining that’s why they closed half the facilities. But that’s not my problem they were supposed to tell me when I came to register. He was playing games with me like I was a child. He said to call tomorrow, and he would talk with his boss. I called the next day, and he told me the boss was not available ,call another day. He was not in. I called today, and he said the boss refused to give my money back because I signed the registration paperwork. Seriously!? Why would I read everything if, when you open Google, it clearly states that they have the facilities? And when I did the registration, nobody warned me about any changes! This manager is extremely unprofessional! He trying to force me to use the services I do not like ! All he is doing is blaming the boss. Now he said he has to talk with the accounts lady! This is ridiculous, and no one on the website mentioned that the membership is non-refundable if you do not like the service! It’s an absolute scam! do not trust this gym! It’s worthless! And the staff is extremely unprofessional! I will seek legal advice regarding this matter this is a scam by thieves!

Negative experience: Working close by today and popped in to see if I could train as a one off but refused entry. Poor customer service indeed.

Negative experience: This gym will be worthwhile in all regards, and if you are serious about your health and improving your lifestyle you should definitely consider signing up. Junaid (reception) deserves a special commendation for his willingness to jump up and help out - I frequently see him giving advice to lifters, both at reception and briefly during his rounds. His efforts are very much appreciated, he's even fixed my form and technique more than once! Edit: 27/06/23 [5 stars -> 2 stars] Swimming pool closure. Steam/sauna closure despite empty promises of reopening for over a year. Boxing area closure. All staff are new and inexperienced. Older staff have long since left. Main gym has been moved downstairs, and the primary upstairs machine room has been halved. In return, we get some basic renovation and an electric new blue, complete with a glowing 'The Manor', like some indie burger restaurant. Where the gym could fit probably 200 people at capacity, now I'd be damned if it could fit 50.

Fantastic experience: I've been meaning to leave a review for the gym, I love this gym so much! I love that they gave us a nice big space for the ladies, I moved from puregym and im not disappointed! They have everything you need, it's clean. The staff who opened my membership was very friendly and very helpful! It's also cheaper if you pay annually. Ahhahhhhh I love the gym! It's nice and quiet too.

Fantastic experience: Brand new equipment, rarely busy, very clean and affordable.

Positive experience: An OK gym, often empty enough with space to workout comfortably but ladies floor is lacking in equipment, could do with free-weights higher than 10kg, we don't need a whole entire rack of dumbbells that are all 1-2kg! Impressed with the fact there are decent resistance machines in the ladies floor as gyms would usually spam the space with cardio machines instead, but could definitely do with a few more such as the hip thrust machine that's on the regular floor could be moved up to there instead. There also could have better air-flow or open windows as it is smelly at times.

Positive experience: A great little gym. Very very reasonably priced, new equipment and friendly staff. Also never too crowded and always room on machines. Only downside is that it gets very cold in winters as they don’t turn on the heating in the building. Sauna and swimming pool have also been closed.

Fantastic experience: This is an excellent gym with plenty of space and well maintained clean and new equipment. The owner has put a huge amount of effort and time and money in to ensure it’s reasonably priced and the best gym in the area. The staff are friendly and helpful and it’s a safe environment as the owner carefully monitors customer behaviour to weed out the likes of ‘Bruno’ who has left a very scathing and dishonest review. If he spent half as much time training as opposed to whining and whinging and looking in the mirror he may get some physical results from weight training. Please give the Manor a try. It’s a great local gym with well maintained equipment and clean changing areas.

Negative experience: Worst gym in the area. I have been living in the area for years and have tried it on and off throughout the years. The staff are rude, very rude, and the owner is even worst. Two interactions with him; the first time, he told me to look for another gym when I was asking when the equipment they took away would be arriving back. And this second time, he, in an extremely aggressive manner, refused to hear when I came to complain about his staff's manners. If you can not complain with the owner in the hope of improving the service, we are left with nothing but the internet to alert other gym users. This gym lost its most significant advantages this year. Its services offered and size was massively reduced post covid. And we stayed with very poor management and rude staff and nothing to counterbalance it. Very old business mentality “We don't care about our client's satisfaction. You buy it if you want it. If you don't, many will.” With many businesses closing, it is time to rethink this mentality. We need better service; if you can't provide I will take my business elsewhere, and I hope a new gym will open in the area to take the clients that you have been so carelessly losing lately.

Negative experience: My opinion as previous member and as gym manager experienced, if you guys want your gym to be full and busy trust me : reduce your payments and change this payments policy , make it more easy for people can join , change the equipments by prioritising as people like to do supersets or muscles combinations so they struggle to go up and down , try to get experienced workers not just receptionists and get more weights and dumbbells. And don’t forgot that there are 3 gyms near you so people can easily avoid you and go to the better ones . It’s my simple vision I wish you accept it . Thank you

Positive experience: Used to be a member here but I mainly joined because of the swimming pool. The dude that showed me around told me the pool was deep but when I eventually signed up and visited the pool… The depth barely got to my waist. The deepest park was about my chest area. Aside that the gym is pretty okay but they definitely need new equipment as some are rusty and old or just not in use but I love how each area is compartmentalised. It has a women’s only section which helps for women who might not feel safe. Oh yeah, don’t get lost in there it can be a maze.

Negative experience: I joined the manner Crickelwood 9 years again. The owner was Sara the American lady and everything was legit and amazing. But, now the new management so greedy and rude. Everywhere you go at the gym is seriously dirty , he switched of most of the equipments and you barely any of the machines to use and waste time waiting for someone to finish. He switched of the steam and sauna for months now. I payed annually and I was told I cancelled but, I won’t get money back. Please don’t subscribe at this place as you will be serendipitously disappointed.☹️

Positive experience: Gym use to be good many many years ago. Now the staff are rude especially the one wears a bandana who claims to be the manager. The pool and sauna has been shut and when asked why it was due to high gas and electric bill.

Negative experience: For me is a NO NO. The dirtiest gym I've seen. Old equipment and you always have to chase for something, especially for toilet paper... Cherry on top of the cake: I've been going to this gym for over an year and now they have closed 2 floors, the pool, sauna and steam room to save on electricity. Whilst I understand, I don't find fair that we should be charged for the total amount of the monthly cost while we are able to benefit of 1/4 of the facilities we pay for. There is currently 2rooms available, no space whatsoever and you train on top of each other. I left it, hopefully I won't have issues with my standing orders as I did at the beginning. So many other better gyms out there.

Positive experience: Nice and quiet gym. No fighting for equipment. I asked for the staff member name as he gave good customer service for me and my wife. Ask for Babo, he is big help.

Positive experience: The gym is okay but it would be perfect if the women's floor have more machines like the men's floor. They have much more variety of machines

Negative experience: This gym use to be good back in the days and now it’s really gone down hill in the men’s no sauna and steam room same with the women’s and now the swimming pool has shut down it’s not worth the money I wouldn’t recommend this gym to anyone as it’s a waste of ur money

Negative experience: Lots of machines are not working or are just breaking while you are training like it happened to me todayand the bar hit me in the chest and I wasn't even trained heavyweight!!! Everything is very dirty, changing rooms are disgusting and looks like no one cleaned for ages!!!very disappointed as I be been a member for more than 3 years and is getting worst and worst every day, no one wants to invest money but they still call it"luxury " which it isn't!!!!

Negative experience: If you are wearing scarf and looking for ladies only gym, then this isn't the right gym for you. I used this gym because it said ladies only, however many times, men will be in the ladies area. When I complained, the only thing they said was "men do go to the ladies area by accident". I recommend you save your money and find another ladies only gym.

Fantastic experience: This gym is great, the team are friendly, and all advertised facilities are there for the price being paid. This isn't a franchised gym, so it's certainly not comparable to the likes of 'pure gym' and 'the gym' which are, and so can spread out their costs a lot more liberally, so it's no use comparing. The best thing you can do as a user of this gym is take good care of it, the staff can't be everywhere across all floors at the same time, they trust the users to take care of it as well, so please do. Altogether, it's a good place to be able to go in, do your workout, and leave, no one wastes time here, everyone keeps moving, which is great.

Negative experience: Hi All This isn’t good at for me . It is dirty .that’s for sure . Swimming pool not good at all . The team not kindly (that’s my opinion) And the Funny thing is You pay 2 months in advance and sign contract for 3 months . If you like to stop on first months you can’t get the money back .that’s happened to me . The reason why they does that is because they people will recognise that the gym isn’t good enough and people leave That’s why they charge like that ! Well Donne from that clever Gym . Never ever again there I don’t recommend extremely.

Negative experience: When I was join in reception the Sid every thing work fine when I do payment the Sid sKim room room not working and swimming pool very cold and not clean I said to him I went cancel my membership the said oh you can not we have stay 3 month to can cancel it’s not fair bad experience . For me I never go again.

Negative experience: The gym has decent equipment but it is very very dirty. Honestly you feel sick visiting due to how dirty it is. To start with, in the swimming pool showers there is a almost a little nest of baby spiders which has been there for over 3 months since i first mentioned to the reception. The mens changing room is dirty as it is with dust along the skirting boards which havent been cleaned in months. The mens showers are the worst bit. The ceiling is crumbling and has fallen on peoples heads in the shower , there is mold everywhere in there. half the showers are closed too. the mens steam room is closed completely and yet they have increased renewals too. honestly it is the dirtiest place i have been to. i will uplaod photos in a following review. They say they have a cleaning team. this is untrue as it is an elderly lady around 60 years of age who can hardly keep up with all the dirt in there. the gym needs a serious deep clean or should be checked by trading standards or something. I would avoid new customers joining to be honest. only reason im still there as its the closest gym to me

Negative experience: Sadly this place has really gone down hill. Its rundown, not cleaned and with the old equipment still there I really wouldn't feel comfortable working out here. Even though they are one of few gyms with a private women's section

Negative experience: I am a lady that signed up to this gym because of the female only facilities they have. Today on the 16th December 2021 two men were talking in the ladies only shower area, I immediatly put my scarf on as I wasnt aware of the planned maintenance work being carried out. The staff said they're was a sign at the front of the main entrance doors, I didn't see the sign and felt like a waste of a trip since I couldn't use the sauna and showers because of the maintenance. I decided to phone up one of the customer service assistants that work at the front desk, I informed him about how I would appreciate it next time if they are going to be any future PLANNED Maintenance work in the ladies changing area, to please do notify us by sending out a text message the day before.

Negative experience: This gym is so dirty and unhygenic! Everything in the ladies gym is either broken or really not kept well. The lights are broken and it smells. Avoid going here, especially for the price they ask for.

Fantastic experience: I joined this gym in 2019. They have always been so welcoming. I opted for a year membership even during covid after restrictions lifted. They extended my membership to cover lockdown closures and I always find I have excellent communication from the staff at The Manor. I use the ladies only section and I love it. They have swimming pool, sauna and steam room as well as classes for their members. An all rounder gym.

Negative experience: It's lockdown ,you shouldn't charge people! But still you do also you did charge me for this month and for February as well. I did send you email about this problem last month and you completely ignored it.

Negative experience: Not much facilities. One star for numerously witnessing customers being rudely treated by staff at reception. Staff seem to love speaking loudly when a customer misses their monthly payment and embarrasses them.

Positive experience: First day here - very friendly employees who are charismatic. The pool is nice. The jacuzzi's temperature was slightly lower than warm. The building is very cold it can be uncomfortable to move from the pool to the changing rooms. The sauna is good, does the job. The steam room was dirty... They could really fix this issue by getting an on-sight cleaner. Or better yet reconstruct the material in the steam room. For £35 a month you can't really complain but i'd rather pay a little bit more for a gym with cleaner facilities.

Negative experience: After cancelling for summer they continued to take 2 payments from my account. When I called to see how to stop this and return the money the finance woman was so rude and aggressive (I guess they deliberately do this to make a little extra money). She told me that the money was now theirs and there was no way to give it back. A fitting end to an outdated, old and dirty gym. Most of the machines don't work, neither do the toilets. Only reason I'm giving two stars is because the front desk staff were always friendly.

Positive experience: My local gym. It’s a gym with with some enhanced features, swimming pool (small) jacuzzi, free weighs room and a couple of fitness studio. The only downside the men changing rooms can be quiet dirty, old lockers and not so clean shower facilities. No hooks by the shower for your towel. Dirty and smelly toilets. People drying their towels and underwear in the sauna.

Positive experience: We have been 3 weeks in this gym, and it was all ok until today. Today we aimed to go to Zumba class. In the reception we asked for the ticket to go to this class and nobody warned us that there was a different class, but we started and it was a completely different class. We did not notice as first because there were warming up excercises with music, and then we tried to stay because we were already there, but I hurted my back (I have back issues) and had to stop. When asking in reception they explained that the schedule changed WEEKS ago and there was no zumba class anymore, but the printed schedule and the website remained unchanged...I am really dissapointed. If you change the schedule, you can warn it with posters in reception and of course you should keep your print and web schedule updated. I hope this wont happen again, otherwise I will disrecommend this gym.

Positive experience: Good gym though the lady's gym needs some improvement. A couple of the free weights are missing and exercise mats are very slippery and small, except for that one which everyone wants to use.

Negative experience: Had used this gym several times with no issue. Was told by an employee when I needed to cancel to just do it through the bank. Went to restart my membership today and was told if I wanted to join back I'd have to pay £50 because I didn't give notice. Doesn't seem like the manager wanted my custom, as he was rude and shut down all of my points. Will not be going back ever again.

Negative experience: After being a member of over a year for my wife I. when I wanted to stop the membership, it seemed that everything was going smoothly. My surprise, two Months later from stopping the direct debit when I have noticed that they are still taking money from my account I went there to complain, they said i has to speak to my bank I went to my bank they said the the direct divot has stopped, for both members ( myself and my wife) But they still taking money for me not my wife. I’m whet back to the gym a couple of time, but they never gave me the money back

Negative experience: The stuff are very rude, never enough stuff at any one time, the security @ the changing rooms is (Very Bad) as i had my property stolen twice in 1,year & the whole place has No proper fire exits in place if anything to happen. The carpets on the floors are very dirty too. I know the price is a little on the low side but that does not give them the right to "Lower their Standards". Steam Room & Sauna are both always very dirty.
