Long Bennington Pavilion

Negative experience: Same as previous post. No regard for bookings despite the nature of the event, just interested in football. Chairman doesn't know how to speak to people, just uses your 'upset' to call you rude, when in fact he is nothing but rude and condescending. Luckily our friends and family and vendors made it a lovely, amazing day with no true apology from the pavillion for breeching agreed contracts.

Negative experience: Booked the venue for our wedding reception. Found out 3 days before our day that they had also taken bookings for football matches who would also be using the facilities. Chairman who is contact on google was rude and condescending and puts phone calls down on frustrated people trying to understand why they can’t just take one booking a day. Footballers were using our bar we had paid money to hire, when raised to them that this happened they called our supplier dramatic! Tried to get food into the venue on the morning to find caterers in there - something apparently they ‘weren’t doing that day because of the wedding’. Turns out if you don’t pay ‘a substantial amount of money’ your booking isn’t worth anything. The lady who takes your booking is lovely to speak to, the Chairman on the other hand, not so much. Already raised to citizens advice for breach of contract. Would avoid at all costs in future.

Negative experience: Probably the worst basketball court I've ever used in my life. Nets are destroyed and unmaintained, double rims, sandy turf that provides no grip, gets inside your socks and shoes and bounces up into your eyes and literally blinds you with sand. What were they thinking... It's also completely unusable when wet, stays wet for far too long and rapidly degrades the surface of your shoes and any balls that you use. Awful...

Positive experience: Went with daughter to play football
