Kingfisher Golf and Country Club: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Great driving range. The young lad & lady that have staffed it when I have been there have been very good.
Fantastic experience: £10 for 1.5 hours on the track man driving range, helpful staff and great place. Will definitely be coming back!
Positive experience: Positives are: Very peaceful and quiet location. Lovely and clean everywhere. Negatives are: Some staff need training on being more professional and being able to prioritise better. In the evening we were at an event with 200 people, which hotel management knew about in advance obviously, but only put 2 bar staff on, resulting in horrendously long queues at the bar. Not good enough. In middle of night a staff member emptied tons of glass loudly into bin, waking everyone up. This could of been done during day, obviously. No obvious direction signs to bar, which is the reception weirdly. Rooms are quite small too, for the price. All needs some thought.
Fantastic experience: I didn't know what to expect when booking (got a great deal through expedia) it also came up as a 2star (which personally I never go for) but it looked fine (better than dated / tired alternatives in the area) so thought I'd give it a go and I'm glad I did. Nice, clean, spacious grounds with plenty of parking directly outside the rooms. The lady on check-in / bar area was super friendly, welcoming and had everything in order. The bar area, decking, toilets were all modern and top standard. The rooms were great, they had smart TV's with WiFi, a digital safe, 3-pin and USB plugs, fans, and you could tell were recently refurbished and kept clean. I had a great sleep and heard no noises from any other guests. Great value for money, I'd highly recommend staying and I'll definitely be back in the future.
Fantastic experience: I've only used the driving range. This is a real hidden gem. A friend recommended it as im getting back into golf. Friendly staff and fully equipped. I'll be heading back a few times a week for sure.
Fantastic experience: This is truly an amazing place. It had only been open for three weeks when we stayed there so every thing was brand spanking you. The room was lovely, the bathroom was nice and supplied with lots of little extras. The bar was really nice with the seating area overlooking a lake. All the staff are really friendly. At the time we visited they weren’t doing meals yet but I believe that is coming. It was lovely and peaceful as it’s in the middle of the countryside just outside Milton Keynes. I saw so much wildlife it was lovely, one evening there were two beautiful owls that flew by me. I do highly recommend this place and if we’re wrapping that part of the world again, we will definitely be staying there. And whether because it was new it was also very good value for money. The points were around £6 and you could buy bottles of wine for around 22, which fought a golf and country club. I thought it was very good value for money. Highly recommended.
Fantastic experience: Without doubt the most relaxing place to kick back and unwind, we stopped by for a quick drink in the hot weather and what an oasis it was, the young lady behind the bar was pleasant and efficient and the view of the lake from the decking is amazing. My only gripe is they don't serve food, even a sandwich would be nice
Fantastic experience: The hotel is very nicely decorated, the grounds are beautiful and very peaceful. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our hotel room was very hot, it was 31 degrees on the day we stayed, there was no air conditioning however they did provide a fan. I can’t fault the hotel and staff but feel air conditioning is needed for the hot months.
Negative experience: Came here to use the driving range. Closed down. Not sure why. As I was typing a truck dropped off a guy and he walked past the barriers that blocked the road so I can only assume immigration is the reason
Fantastic experience: Nice venue, good food, beautiful place and some golf to enjoy, I’m not a golf player but the system they have make the range very fun with the ball tracker
Fantastic experience: Fabulous driving range with Toptracer tech and great value for money. Helpful and friendly staff. Such a shame it’s closing
Positive experience: Nice place, room was nice. Took a while to find reception to check in, Ideal for a quick overnight stop
Negative experience: Very poor communication! We had to chase up for the answer our every question. We had to wait a few days for the reply from event team. We wanted to book a room for our event next year and we booked a viewing appointment. we viewed the ballroom and we were happy to hire. The date was free. After a few days awaiting their reply they came back with this: "Kingfisher will be under new management before your event in 2025 and the new company is saying it will not be honouring any bookings that are in the diary." Be careful if looking for to hire their venue or if you already have a booking with them! Dear event team, why you wasted our almost 3 weeks of time for useless and not responsive conversation from your end! We could have booked another venue which is now gone!
Positive experience: Went for Subday lunch. A much improved venue, bright and clean. Staff very welcoming and service really good. Had two courses, both beautifully cooked and presented. Will definitely return.
Positive experience: Went here for a wedding reception recently. It was nicely decorated but the cost of drinks were exceptionally high.
Fantastic experience: I took a friend for afternoon tea for a birthday treat and it was excellent! A delicious selection of savoury & sweet treats, including some tasty warm savouries. Endless refills of tea, a jug of iced water and a beautiful view out over the lake in such a peaceful setting too. The staff are first class, nothing was too much trouble and they really looked after us. Will definitely be using the restaurant again!
Negative experience: The hotel itself is just ok. It’s clear there is work being done but it has been stalled. The time to get served for a simple drink or food is horrendous. The worse part of my experience was the golf course which is seriously lacking TLC. How people pay membership for this below parr course is beyond me (the golf course is why I booked this trip) please invest properly so travelling golfers get the experience promised. Cruffy course nettles and weeds over grown, disgrace for a so called country retreat/ championship course. Joke!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS.. a pitch and putt would be a better option!
Positive experience: Driving range review: We came here on a afternoon to hit some balls. As novices we needed to hire clubs, however the ones they provided weren't great. Fair enough it's probably a range for actual golfers but we couldn't even get a driver. I think if you had a few sets of clubs you'd please a wider audience of customers. I would also recommend having some closer markers for the less able players. However the games you can play are fun. Good to see your stats and scores etc on the screen. Decent price during the day before peak hours! Deffo worth a try.
Fantastic experience: Stunning place, clean and food was spot on. Highly recommend for a weekend away, I will be coming again!
Fantastic experience: What a fabulous little hotel. Immaculate room with very comfortable bed and pillows. Great shower pressure. We ate at the restaurant and will recommend the Blue Elephant chicken curry. All staff were so polite and professional. We ate on the terrace overlooking the lake. Highly recommend and we're sure to be back again.
Fantastic experience: Excellent food in a beautiful setting!
Fantastic experience: Great service, lovely hospitality especially from Div, would definitely recommend.
Fantastic experience: So impressed with the friendly welcome, spotlessly clean room, modern bathroom and clubhouse. The bar terrace and view over the lake exceptional. One not to miss!
Fantastic experience: Very pleasant place to stay with a beautiful view. Good food and service. All the staff are polite and helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable as well.
Fantastic experience: Stayed here while doing a training course for my new job, The service was great, the food was great, the room was large, bright and clean with beautiful views. Eljon, Dev and the young ladies serving breakfast are very polite and accommodating with fast service.
Fantastic experience: Had a great stay room's are very clean and also large . Restaurant and bar is very good great food and great service from Dev and eljon both polite and very accommodating with very fast service will stay again many thanks 10/10
Fantastic experience: Great staff! Great food! Great rooms with amazing views. Very pleased with everything. Five stars all round.
Negative experience: Only go for the driving range (TopTracer), the staff are great plenty of parking! But the balls are absolutely terrible, cracked, split and feel hollow. PLEASE UPGRADE THE BALLS, it’s the only thing that lets it down! I’d happily give 5 stars if this improvement was made
Fantastic experience: Great rooms in a peaceful location.
Fantastic experience: Kingfisher is a wonderful place to eat, stay and celebrate with family and friends.
Fantastic experience: I had a lovely business stay here. The rooms are perfect and airy with a view of the pond. The coffee maker was a nice touch. There is a lovely peaceful decking area overlooking the pond. I sat with a pint of Camden Pale watching a Grey Heron fishing and listening to Green Woodpeckers. This morning I awoke to the sound of a Cuckoo. Highly recommended.
Positive experience: Stayed 1 night over 2 days for a work meeting. There were 11 of us in total - surroundings were very peaceful and tranquil. We were lucky with the weather sunny bith days. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Although you need to get used to the American motel style rooms, entrance to each room stepped directly outside. Restaurant and bar area really nice. Meeting facilities were good- however the buffet lunch was slightly small on the first day, we increased the variety on the second day. Dinner was reasonable with well cooked food, only complaint was asked for steak to be mediun rare it was more medium to well done. Overall good facilities and will certainly look to return for any future work meetings.
Negative experience: Attending the wedding at Kingfisher offered me the chance to experience the restaurant firsthand. Despite hearing glowing reviews about its location and food service, I left deeply disappointed. When I first entered the building, only the car park greeted me before the hotel itself came into view. Although the food was enjoyable, the service left much to be desired. The wait staff wore mismatched uniforms, and it seemed like the wedding planners were doubling as servers. During a brief absence for a cigarette, I returned to find the table stripped bare of essentials like tissues, glasses, water jugs, wine, and beer. Despite it only being 8:30 pm, everything had been cleared away. To quench my thirst, I had to make my way to the bar and request a glass of water myself. However, upon reaching the bar, I was met with confusion. The bar staff had the payment device ready, and I couldn't help but feel unsure whether I had to pay for the water or the beer that had previously been on our tables and were now sitting at the bar next to the payment device. The lack of clarity made it difficult to understand what was included and what we, as guests, were expected to pay for. The atmosphere took a sharp downturn after the waiters cleared everything off the tables, including items we brought back, like slices of cake. I witnessed a friend's half-eaten cake being whisked away when they briefly left for a dance. It felt as though the staff were in a rush to clear the guests out, despite the wedding still being in full swing. Their constant clearing away of items gave the impression that they were trying to rush us out the door, even though the festivities were still ongoing and the venue was paid for until 10pm Even more disheartening was the absence of waiters when it came time for the bride to cut the cake. She ended up distributing slices to guests because there was no staff present. Considering these shortcomings, I cannot in good conscience recommend Kingfisher for a wedding event.
Fantastic experience: We were here for a wedding reception and found everything about the resort to be extremely good. The staff were warm and friendly and everywhere was very clean and well looked after.
Fantastic experience: Went here for Sunday lunch and was fantastic. The food, service and value for money was fab will definitely be back!!
Positive experience: Stayed here for 1 night and I had a very good sleep and good experience overall. Food was nice, grounds once you were in are lovely and the room I was highly surprised about as i was not expecting that! Highly finished with some modern features and super size comfortable bed. WiFi is very shakey, and the entrance into the place isn't great.. look out for pot holes!!
Negative experience: Used the range and while the top tracer it good it’s wasted because the golf balls there are like smoothed over pebbles, I feel like with a bit of investment in some new better quality golf balls and this place would be great
Positive experience: My wife and I stayed for one night. The access road to the Club is well-nigh impassable and needs urgent attention. I think we were the only guests staying. There is no breakfast buffet so no cereals or juice bar and no sliced bread ready to toast. The receptionist shares the breakfast room along with the club bar and a widescreen TV which was in noisy operation presumably to entertain the staff. The place had a dishevelled, deserted, underfunded air.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful countryside quite located very near to Milton Keynes
Negative experience: Went to the driving range last night (Golf X) and to say I'm disappointed is an understatement. The actual facility is great however, the balls (the main part of a driving range) are terrible. Half were splitting, the ones that weren't cracked felt hollow. It's like they have been kept in water for the past 10 years. This gives a new meaning to how bad range balls can be. If the balls were sorted out, me and the boys would be here every week. Aside from this, the staff are fantastic.
Fantastic experience: Peaceful location a short drive away from the busy centre of Milton Keynes. The rooms were spacious, extremely comfortable, modern and spotlessly clean. The ensuites were of the same high standard. Breakfast was amazing and of a superior quality with fresh fruit salad, pastries and a choice of different types of deliciously cooked breakfast. Staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. Would highly recommend and would definitely return to Kingfisher Golf and Country Club if we visited the area again.
Positive experience: Good visit - used the TopTracer golf which is good. Need some more heaters to attract visitors through winter!
Negative experience: Great range facilities BUT it’s needs to invest in new balls.
Fantastic experience: Seems like a really new place and establishing itself. Really lovely driving range with Toptracer and hope the golf course opens up soon.
Fantastic experience: Driving range great fun and staff very helpfull. Can't wait to go back had great fun.
Positive experience: Hotel & bedroom was clean and comfortable. Bathroom very good. Breakfast was great. No chef for lunch or dinner while we were there so had to go out to eat or order in. Staff were very helpful.
Positive experience: This review is purely based on having my smaller wedding hosted here. In terms of organisation and communication I would give 2 stars. However, the food itself and the meal service on the day (separate staff) was excellent and certainly deserving of 5 stars. Pros - Food, food service, the grounds. Cons - Organisation and communication: At the start of organising my wedding with Kingfisher, I had Tamarin as my wedding coordinator. She left early in the year 2023 but at no point was I contacted or sent a courtesy email by the remaining team to let me know this. I sent several emails, in April 23, where weeks went by with no reply, so as I was confused by this, I rang Kingfisher to find out she had left. I also read on social media there had been a change of management and the hotel had actually been closed for a period of time. Of course, this meant I was highly concerned that my wedding contract and requests I had organised with Tamarin would now not be honoured. I was told the new wedding coordinator would contact me (I later found out there wasn't one, just existing team members, with the one they needed to speak to me being part time) and at no point did they contact me back. Having no idea if my wedding plans had been kept or transferred over by Tamarin, I had to ring Kingfisher three times, we were in May, to finally have someone confirm that all had been switched over and the special requests I had made were still valid. All in all, I was left hanging in the balance for a month, with my wedding just two months away at that point. Closer to the date, I met with the person now dealing with my wedding, Kas, and many of the elements Tamarin said I could have with no problem were now an issue. One of these being room set up. Tamarin had said this would be managed by them but this didn't go down well with Kas. However, they did honour this agreement. For the day, because of the discontent over setting up our room for us, I left detailed layouts of the room, and even offered to help set it up the day before. I was told no they would be using the room in the evening for guests, yet, when dropping the decorations off the day before, the room was not in use and tables were being moved out there and then. The set up was nothing overly complicated, yet on the wedding morning, there was issue after issue for my poor groom to change, having very little time to do so. This ruined arrival photos for him, with chairs in the wrong place, music systems not working and lights not being switched on. All of which could have been avoided. Either we were deemed as unimportant due to us being a small, intimate wedding or I dread to think how they would cope organising and communicating with the bride for a bigger wedding day.
Negative experience: big liars. We booked this place for our wedding and 2 months before our wedding they cancelled. No notice nothing just sent an emails to us and when we call nobody answers after many times we eventually got through to the event planner who was shocked to find out as well. Even going as far as to ask us why they cancelled the wedding !!!! Some of our guests called them after a few weeks and was told that he could indeed book a company party on this day as it was now available. Please don’t trust them. Worst experience in my life. Luckily we managed to rearrange the wedding and had a five star experience no thanks to them though.
Positive experience: The rooms and the staff were brilliant, you drive through the main gates at the entrance and you see the building. Sorry to say it looks like something out of a holiday camp in America. But the rooms I couldn't pick a fault with, very clean spacious overlooking the lake. Ate in the restaurant food was very good and well presented. The staff went the extra mile to be helpful the bar is well stocked, with beers larger ciders and spirits. Overall a lovely stay the only disappointment was the view thru the gates. Owners please update it you'd have a cracking venue
Fantastic experience: Quiet country location with beautiful lake views near Milton Keynes. Very relaxing stay. Clean, comfortable with parking outside your allocated bedroom area. Staff pleasant and helpful.
Fantastic experience: Great room. Nice view. Quiet. Service attentive and professional. Good value. Would visit again.
Fantastic experience: Lovely hotel, beautiful decoration, the rooms are big and have window to the gardens.. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Fantastic experience: I would like to thank Sarah and the team at the Kingfisher for all their hard work to make my party fabulous. Venue, food, drink all terrific. Also for advising me to book the disco House & Manor Entertainment who were the best disc any of my friends had ever seen, music perfect. Thank you for a night myself and all my guests will remember as superb.
Fantastic experience: An excellent small hotel. The rooms are extremely modern, comfortable and have everything you could expect. Being a country club, the hotel is set in grounds which makes it very quiet and peaceful.
Fantastic experience: We were unable to stay with nearby family so booked here. A lovely modern and comfortable room. Pleasant views. Plenty of tea and coffee and well stocked bathroom. Will definitely recommend to friends and family.
Fantastic experience: Went on golf range here. Great facility for practice. Clean and friendly place. Plenty of space for parking.
Fantastic experience: Quiet location, new quality rooms. Highly recommend
Fantastic experience: We didn't use the golf facilities We liked the dinner, bed and breakfast rate of £180. Good value for two adults. Will concider staying again if I have business in the area. Thanks to the hard working staff. Nice setting Nice view of the water while eating.
Fantastic experience: Checked in on 1/07/23. Pleasantly greeted at the clubhouse on arrival. Tyrone and biomed student working there were amazing with their customer service and communication skills. Location/view was admirable and rooms were Very clean with great facilities. The food was superb- props to the masterchef! Will definitely be visiting again.
Fantastic experience: Absolutely first class hotel, great rooms, food and hospitality...treat yourself
Positive experience: Good facilities at the driving range with top tracer in all bays. Friendly and helpful staff in a quaint setting. Rooms are reminiscent of butlins and look slightly out of place compared to the nice main function area and clubhouse
Fantastic experience: Only came here for the driving range but the location was beautiful. Set just outside central Milton Keynes and near Buckingham this is a great location for a small getaway. The driving range was fantastic, very well kept and with great technology to help analyse your driving.
Fantastic experience: Went to the driving tenge and was greeted by a fantastic team. Very friendly and helpful.thank you for my experience great Tyrone & dev.
Positive experience: Room was good and cheap. Food and drink exceptionally expensive, I thought.
Fantastic experience: Great place to stay for silverstone circuit , lovely position , only downside rooms you can hear people in other rooms , good car park , food was superb though
Positive experience: Hotel room was nice , not 100 percent cleaned properly with finger prints on the mirror and hairs in the shower. The towel rail in the bathroom hissed all night and was leaking rusty water onto the floor. Room 4 we stayed in . The worst bit of the hotel for me was the entrance. The road into the hotel is absolutely awful !! So many pot holes and gravel flicking up everywhere ! This needs to be mentioned as we have actually damaged our car. A stone has flicked up and chipped the paint. We were driving at maybe 2mph on this so called road. Id not reccomend anyone to any one to stay here if you have a nice car ! The entrance is absolutely awful!! This needs rectifying to match how nice the rest of the place is !
Negative experience: Only an Indian extremely limited menu ? Totally unacceptable . Now having to order take away to be delivered definitely not recommended
Fantastic experience: Held daughters wedding here in March 2023. Absolutely fantastic day. The wedding breakfast was delicious. The catering and bar staff were very friendly and helpful and worked tirelessly to make it so special. A special thankyou to Tamarin, the wedding co-ordinator, who went over and beyond to make it all run so smoothly and made my daughters wedding such a special day to remember. can highly recommend the Kingfisher as a great wedding venue. Thankyou all so much x
Positive experience: Food amazing and Kay was the perfect hostess. Asked for a few more chips with our steak but told that was extra by the table server. Just that little extra customer service would have gone a long way. But thanks Kay for finding us a table.
Fantastic experience: Great service very clean and comfortable staff very professional and friendly. Would stay again
Fantastic experience: 2022/2023 NYE party. Excellent food and service, great atmosphere, very smart overnight accommodation.
Fantastic experience: We went to our exersise studios xmas dinner and the food was excellent as was the disco.
Fantastic experience: What a fantastic Sunday roast i would highly recommend it.
Fantastic experience: Great place will definitely stay again when in the area
Fantastic experience: Really impressed with the hotel it has a very nice atmosphere like home, booked a night as we were travelling further, the service from start to finish is really great the staff are very friendly, customer service is excellent, the breakfast menu is very good with a lot if choice, would definitely be back but would stay more than 1 night.
Fantastic experience: Went to the driving range. Excellent with top tracer and a small bar. Friendly staff.
Fantastic experience: Great Driving range, Top tracer, really nice bays with seating.
Fantastic experience: First visit to the bar & golf driving range⛳️ Thoroughly enjoyed and wish I'd taken the family before.
Fantastic experience: The perfect venue for a wedding, we enjoyed a two night stay in this quiet, wonderful country club.. Staff were very friendly, customer focused and went above and beyond. The spacious rooms were perfect for accommodating many guests at any function. The views and ambiance were special and the rooms were all you would expect. The breakfasts were very enjoyable and the wedding food was remarkably refined. Whether looking for a venue for that special occasion or simply looking for an overnight stay that is relaxing and reviving, Kingfisher is perfect.
Positive experience: Very nice location and good food. Not cheap though ..
Fantastic experience: Has had a great refurbishment since I last went 3 yrs ago .look a great place for a wedding the interior has been done toma high standard.. plenty of parking.
Fantastic experience: Hope to be getting married here next year, hence why we were here for another check up visit. Lovely hotel rooms, lovely bar area, eating area and main celebrating room
Positive experience: The food was really good. The service how ever leaves a lot to be desired. Being local this was the ideal place for us to go and celebrate our friends birthday and as we had been before and enjoyed the food we thought we would Try again. Also we had seen that they have been trying hard to promote on Facebook. The meals and drinks came quickly however that was the last I interaction we had until nearly 1hour and a half later when we had to eventually ask for another drink and the desert menu . Our table was cleared and we were left again. Eventually the bar mgr came over and we expressed our concerns he gave us the excuse that they were busy , that was not the case there was hardly anyone in there . The waiter and waitress seemed to have to wait to be told what to do although they were very nice and polite if they are too young to make the drinks then maybe they should have been serving more leaving the mgr free to make them . When he came back he had given us a round of drinks for free and we got our deserts free aswell and he was apologetic this time. It was a nice gesture but surely giving us better customer service will not cost the company so much money as I see from a previous review they also got free drinks. This could be a great place for the locals but they need to get more staff or use the ones they have more efficiently
Fantastic experience: A very clean Golf & Country Club Hotel. Attentive and helpful staff. Superb restaurant with a good wine selection. Comfortable rooms with TV and free WiFi.
Positive experience: All told a good experience but dragged down by a variety of niggles. Arriving at the site doesn't instill confidence. The access road is in terrible condition and when turning the last corner you are faced with something resembling a strip motel in the USA. Check in was easy and the receptionist friendly and professional. The room was immaculate, good sized but stuffy and hot. All amenities were present and the view over the lake was pleasant. Dinner was where most issues were noted. Again All staff were very polite and friendly but the waiting standards were lacking. Staff carried 1 plate at a time or only 1-2 drinks on a tray. We were left waiting repeatedly from arrival to drinks to ordering and food delivery was painfully slow. I asked for a wet cloth after eating mussels but am still waiting. The waiter spilled a glass of wine over the table and us. Accidents happen and it was well handled but coupled with the other points, it wasn't a great experience. The manager was excellent in dealing with the mess and providing a free drink to replace the spill. Food was good in all cases. The oddest thing was the music choice. We were subjected to loud salsa music throughout the evening, which didn't fit with the venue or the tone. Even the outside seating had this noise fed out. Not bad but not great. Wouldn't hurry back.
Fantastic experience: My first visit (how have I never been before? ) and I will definitely be back. Frequently! Delicious lunch, fabulous cocktails, excellent service, reasonably priced in a beautiful setting. What more could you ask?
Fantastic experience: We booked our wedding early this year for the 25th June 2022. The Kingfisher venue is a fantastic setting for anyone’s special day. The lake and grounds provide a stunning backdrop and the pagoda the perfect place to declare your vowels. Getting married outside was always our intention, the sun came out and Kingfisher accommodated us with external set up of chairs and audio for the music. The bar and conservatory areas are simply stunning with modern fresh décor and a place where your guests will feel truly at home. The main function room can be dressed up and provide a fabulous space for the wedding breakfast and evening reception to take place. We felt totally at ease with team at Kingfisher, holding our hand every step of the way. Kas and her team worked so hard on the day to make sure everything ran smoothly for us. The service for the wedding breakfast and bar was exemplary and all staff attentive and courteous. The food was of exceptional quality, and you will get to do a taster session with the team prior to your big day to allow you to make your selections. The Kingfisher also has the added benefit of 28 modern and clean rooms on site for your guests, plus a beautiful bridal suite, which is included in the deal for your special day. We can highly recommend the Kingfisher as the venue for your wedding day, and we take this opportunity to write this review and say a huge thank you to the Kingfisher team, for all that they did for us, our family and friends and making it a day we’ll never forget...! Paul & Sarah Dawson
Positive experience: Very nice and scenic place for a celebration a short stay or a hole or two
Fantastic experience: Gorgeous food. Gorgeous location. Wish there was more of a place to go for a walk (round the pond for example).
Fantastic experience: Absolutely fantastic, they have really done everything right. Great rooms and fantastic food and staff
Negative experience: Food is rubbish no Airton just a small fan
Fantastic experience: this afternoon, even though it was very hot decided to check out golf x driving range, being part of toptracer. it's a new build, but it is absaloutly loverly, the mats are on great conditions tees are good and the quality of the driving range are very good, will definitely be coming here more often. I just wonder if they will ever get the 9 hole back open again
Fantastic experience: Superb, quiet, location and venue. Great food and friendly customer friendly staff. Perfect wedding venue.
Fantastic experience: Superb food, service and setting, highly recommend
Fantastic experience: We used the toptracer golf range and was very surprised at the layout. Advice from the staff was excellent and if and when the golf course opens we'll have a go. Certainly coming back on a regular basis. You don't have to book as you could just turn up but booking does get you the bays you want.
Fantastic experience: Took all my staff here for a night out. Quality venue with great food and drinks. And the golf is quality. Highly recommended.
Positive experience: All okay. On way somewhere else, so broke the journey nicely. Would’ve given a higher rating had I been able to breathe in the bedroom. Health and safety gone mad, I expect - window is designed to open only two inches. It was quite a warm night, so I had a bad, airless sleep. Very poorly (slightly cheap?) looking windows, that if modernised and designed with an adult brain in mind could change the whole experience of visiting here. In future, I’ll only return in winter when a two inch window gap might suffice! Everything else seems okay - we were only passing thru….
Fantastic experience: Food was beautiful and well presented. Amazing setting and beautifully decorated rooms. We were the only 2 people in the restaurant for breakfast, such a waste that this isn't very well known by people. True hidden gem!!
Fantastic experience: Booked the country club as we were attending a gig in the city centre and wanted something a bit nicer than your average Travelodge. We were so impressed. I wished we'd had more time to stay and enjoy the facilities. It was a beautifully sunny day and as my first night away from the kids in a long time, it was pure bliss sat in the garden around the back with a great choice of relaxing music. I didn't want to leave. The room was absolutely gorgeous and so clean. Everything was to a very high standard. Only issue being that the walls are quite thin and we were woken by the sound of next door in the morning (typical, the one night I forget my ear plugs). But I would definitely return if we were in the area again.
Fantastic experience: Nice room, excellent grounds, breakfast was first class, plenty parking and a good location.
