Our comment from FitFit UK about Nantwich Swimming Pool And Gym:
Nantwich Swimming Pool and Gym is a highly regarded facility, known for its clean and well-maintained environments, making it a great choice for swimming and fitness activities. Many users praise the friendly and helpful staff, who contribute to a welcoming atmosphere. The outdoor brine pool is particularly popular, providing a unique swimming experience with heated water, perfect for family outings and relaxation.
Visitors appreciate the well-organized swimming programs, including classes for children and adults, making it suitable for various age groups and skill levels. Moreover, the café offers a delightful range of food and beverages, enhancing the overall experience.
However, some users have raised concerns regarding the cleanliness of the changing rooms and the need for improvement in the gym facilities, which can sometimes feel overcrowded and under-equipped. The pool area does not have enough sun loungers during peak times, and the online booking system has room for enhancement.
In summary, Nantwich Swimming Pool and Gym provides a fantastic destination for both swimming enthusiasts and families looking for leisure activities. Its strengths include a beautiful outdoor pool, friendly staff, and quality classes, making it a valuable asset to the community despite the areas identified for improvement.

Nantwich Swimming Pool And Gym: Opinions
Positive experience: Good gym, friendly staff, but filthy changing rooms and the showers really smell disturbingly weird.
Fantastic experience: Always clean and good customer service
Fantastic experience: Still a lovely place to meet with friends and swim
Positive experience: Amazing pool and lovely staff. I love swimming here. I have just knocked a mark off for the changing rooms. Parents of swimming lesson children will leave items in changing rooms whilst their kids are swimming instead of either taking them with them or putting them in one of the many lockers that are provided. Sometimes I can not get changed because each changing room has a single personal item in it. It is really selfish and I would be grateful if someone could try and do something to discourage this.
Fantastic experience: Love this gym for the cafe, staff and outdoor pool. The outdoor pool staff are really friendly alongside the reception and cafe members. The food is great, I really love the crispy chicken salad and coffee! Credit were credit is due! Thanks
Fantastic experience: We pre-booked a session in the lido with our scout's on summer camp. Excellent facilities and very good coffee ordered at poolside.
Fantastic experience: Today was my second trip to the indoor pool in two days. I am a lap swimmer (mile) and I was able to complete my workout when others were swimming laps too and some of the public were enjoying the pool too. It was very clean and the water was a nice temperature. Neither day was that busy. Liked the easy stair access to the pool. I thought the changing rooms were cool. Locked changing rooms, gender friendly and easy to use lockers. I live in a rural community with nothing like this nearby. Believe me, this is a great facility, Nantwich and the local residents should be grateful to have it here.
Fantastic experience: Loved the outdoor brine pool. Changing and shower facilities were clean and tidy and hot water. Pool.was clean and we loved it
Fantastic experience: Great swim outdoors in brine, loved it
Fantastic experience: Really good for swimming lessons
Negative experience: The website clearly states the outdoor pool is maintained at 22 degrees and can get warmer with the sun. However, today and I guess most days it is absolutely FREEZING !!!!!! Travelled an hour to meet up with my family and young grandchildren . They were so unhappy !!!!!
Fantastic experience: Lovely Just what's needed on a hot say
Fantastic experience: This is my favourite outdoor pool. Lovely and clean. Just have to book in advance on line
Positive experience: I'm a pensioner and called in hoping to have a swim. I had searched the pool web site for a price list and couldn't find it so when I arrived I asked about the entrance fee. The lady said it was £7.60 and no concessions for oap’s. I was shocked by the price and the policy. I could not afford to stay and sadly I won't be able to use this facility regularly or at all in the future while I try to keep fit.
Positive experience: I’ve been a member of the gym for the last 2-3 years, it’s okay but I’ve only been going due to lack of other options in Nantwich. Good number of free weights, treadmills, barbells, racks and a smith machine The prices are really high for a council gym (£45p/m), the gym is very small and packed together in quite an unsafe way. For example you have to squeeze past the smith machine which is also situated right under a bright light that hurts your eyes when on it. My partner has been hit in the head by a barbell whilst on the mats, due to how cramped it gets. Machines constantly out of order and take weeks or months to fix, and one water cooler which can lead to long queues (not helped by the fact staff also seem to rely on this one). The lack of a chest fly machine and step machines is poor, even hotel gyms have basic machines like this. Its now overfilled with groups of high school kids who hog machines and stand around doing nothing unfortunately. Ive now left to try other gyms in the area. Lack of separate changing room / toilets for the gym is also absurd, you have to go into the wet swimming pool toilets.
Fantastic experience: This place is absolutely amazing, we have really enjoyed the day, kids loved it. Highly recommend.
Fantastic experience: we went the outdoor brine pool... only one left in the country I think... we had 2 hours in the sunshine lounging on the supplied loungers and dipping into the pool for a lovely cooling swim...skin felt awesome afterwards ! it was like an afternoon at the pool on holiday ...didn't want to leave !
Fantastic experience: Always clean and friendly
Fantastic experience: First time using the outdoor pool. It was cold today, but we went right in to warm up and the kids didn't want to get out. Lovely lunch time swim.
Negative experience: Gym is full of loud and smelly minors, working out in that crowd is far from ideal. considering cancellation at some point
Positive experience: Swam in the outdoor pool, then had refreshments at the cafe. All good
Fantastic experience: Great day at the pool
Fantastic experience: Went for a general swim session in the outdoor brine pool, great facilities and the pool is very nice + super friendly staff. Just a shame that the weather was sunny, and a bit chilly, therefore ended up not staying the full 2 hours, but finished it off with a nice cappuccino in the cafe
Fantastic experience: It is not a massive place, but it is doing its job; I recommend it.
Negative experience: I am really disappointed treadmills out of order for over a week ..why don't you put notices up when equipment is broken there is a limited time some people are going on them for over 50 mins something needs to be done can't even get on ..when equipment is broken there should be a time frame ...I am so disappointed I will be cancelling my gym membership if carries on like this
Fantastic experience: Good place for swimming lessons for kids. Nice teachers.
Fantastic experience: Early doors pool almost empty
Positive experience: I love swimming at Nantwich but wish the water was a little bit warmer. 29 degrees would be great!
Fantastic experience: Outdoor pool is the biggest blessing I've ever had, in love with it, even in October. They're currently also teaching my son to swim in lessons. Everything is wonderful, staff are incredibly kind at the desk, warm environment, never had an issue.
Positive experience: Brings back fond memories with the outside lido brine water swimming pool.. great on a sunny day. Good facilities, though the place would benefit from refurbishing.
Fantastic experience: Excellent, staff were professional helpful and gave me a guided tour. Great very pleased. Thank you
Positive experience: Great classes, and the outdoor brine swimming pool is brilliant. The cafe is also excellent, with a great range of tasty food and drinks, including veggie and vegan options. The only things that could be improved are the changing and toilet facilities which are basic and sometimes inadequate.
Negative experience: Pretty poor swimming pool really considering the entry cost /membership fee. The indoor pool is about average but the changing rooms are bad. They smell horribly of drains and sewers all the time. The showers are small and cramped. There is an outdoor pool too but it's not heated (it is heated but not to a reasonable level so why bother) and it's salted.
Fantastic experience: My grandchildren have #imming lessons here
Fantastic experience: Great gym can get very busy at time the outdoor pool was wonderful to swim in the day I was there was lovely and warm great too were the big wide step to get into the water made it a lot easier if you have knee pain will definitely go again !.
Negative experience: Coming up to 2 months and the chest press machine still out of commission. It’s been nearly 1 month that the cross trainer also out of commission. I love paying £45 per month to use only the gym for machines to be out of commission. Pure Gym and Bannatynes looking more interesting every day
Positive experience: Lido outside is great, indoors there are also 2 pools, one for beginners.
Fantastic experience: Great outdoor pool, really lovely staff. We'll be back
Fantastic experience: Kids loved it. Cold water on a 26 degree day....
Fantastic experience: Take kids here 3 different pools to go in very clean and staff are very helpful plenty of changing rooms available
Positive experience: Always take my kid to the toddler splash in the heated pool. Great. Only downside is its on a council car park and you have pay to park.
Positive experience: Nice outdoor pool and lovely lady at the tuck shop outside, aswell as a good price!
Fantastic experience: We had an amazing time. The pool changing room and showers are all lovely and clean The staff are friendly
Positive experience: This is a fairly large leisure centre with indoor and outdoor pools. We went for the outdoor brine pool (one of only 2 in the country, the other being Droitwich Spa Lido). The outdoor pool is 30m and heated to 24°. The changing rooms are fairly chaotic (serving all the pools on site). Warm showers available. Lockers available in changing rooms or poolside (£1 refundable). Plenty of parking available on site (free after 3pm). Make sure you book your session in advance via their website/app. Pool was clean. Paving around the pool slightly slippy, so best to wear sliders. Shallow end the furthest from the indoor changing rooms, but there are plenty of loungers, so take a towel with you if you don't want a long, cold walk back to the indoor showers. No pics as photos not permitted at the pool.
Positive experience: Lovely pool and staff but very dirty changing rooms and smelly showers.
Positive experience: Good quality gym and swimming pool. The outdoor pool is really nice! Showers and changing looking tired but fairly clean.
Positive experience: Good facilities. I like the outdoor brine pool. Don't like that you still have to book a timed slot post-COVID. Left shivering until it's time for your slot to begin. Don't have to pay for parking after 3pm. Only get refunded for 1 hour of parking at other times
Fantastic experience: I have been multiple times and it’s very clean and lovely staff are welcoming and helpful I recommend anyone who is looking for a day out to come here
Positive experience: Pool is good not great, gets very busy at times. There is no rotary drier for wet trunks. Poor show.
Positive experience: Changing rooms are awful. Especially the women's. They stink or urine, floor needs a good scrubbing aswell as the grids. Toilets ALWAYS reek. Much rather travel to Crewe (and that's saying something) to use the facilities their with my children. Needs sorting out pronto.
Negative experience: It's a lovely pool but it's the cleanliness of the changing rooms and showers, footprints on the benches in changing areas dirty floors, clumps of hairs in showers and chewing gum stick to shower head, dusty. Toilets no toilet paper, no soap wee on toilet seats. Not a nice experience when you have kids
Negative experience: Gym is just not big enough for the amount of people they allow in. If you enjoy getting knocked into by people in an exercise class whilst being on the rowing machine then this may be the place for you. Passed are not checked when entering so they have no control over numbers or whether anyone is actually a member. If there was to be a fire they would have no clue who was still inside.
Fantastic experience: Join for cupple months, friendly staff, great classes, you will find something for yourself definitely, pay for parking but at the reception got refunded.
Negative experience: The indoor pool is dirty and the changing rooms stank of dirty nappies and was unclean.
Fantastic experience: We did not use the pool or gym but used the cafe for lunch. The servers were lovely. We had the falafel and beetroot flatbread and cheese and tomato toastie. Both were delicious and well presented with a fresh side salad. Finished off with lemon drizzle cake which was one of the best I have had. Thumbs up from us.
Negative experience: Over subscribed to far too many people for such a small gym, have to turn up at 6am just to get a chance to use equipment - would cancel and go elsewhere but I'm stuck in a contract - will leave as soon as I'm able and go to a gym not as over subscribed
Fantastic experience: I always love an outdoor swim in this brine pool. A real treat
Positive experience: Day pass swimming available.
Positive experience: Overcrowded and not enough showers etc in changing rooms. Waiting area very small.
Positive experience: I use both the gym and swimming pool. The equipment in the gym is up-to-date and of a good standard. Swimming is swimming! There are three pools the main pool a training (kids) pool and a heated brine (saltey) outdoor pool (available from around May to the end of October)at this centre. I have always found the staff to be polite, friendly and helpful.
Negative experience: Unfortunately the gym is packed with large groups of young lads and children using the equipment as play kit rather than exercising. Gym also becomes unmanageably busy to the point where you can't get on any equipment, leading to sessions being cut short.
Fantastic experience: Outdoor pool a little haven . Brine filled- less chlorine. Foggy swim today
Positive experience: Good facility. The entrance has refreshments (not cheap), decent toilets and plenty of viewing areas and outdoor lockers. Parking is OK too. Picture taken during triathlon.
Fantastic experience: Great outdoor pool yeah does feel a bit cool when you get in but get moving you soon warm up nice staff
Positive experience: I love this place for an outdoor swim in hot weather
Fantastic experience: If it's hot enough for the outdoor pool then that is my preference as it feels like you are on holiday for a couple of hours. Indoor pool is good too. Nice seating area with drink and snack options plus cafe in reception area.
Positive experience: Good value gym and pool. Can be busy in the summer in the outdoor pool. Staff very friendly.
Negative experience: Outdoor pool was freezing. Too cold for my five and eight year old children. Left after ten minutes before hyperthermia set in. Got showered and clean and changed and left the building. Came back as new customers willing to pay again for the indoor pool but were refused entry due to cross contamination. Showers clearly don’t work. Considering radiation treatment. Children in tears. As if blue lips weren’t enough. Management smug. Take wet suits, plenty of soap and radiation suits or else go somewhere customer focused instead. Stinks of wee too
Fantastic experience: Haven't been during school holidays but want to get back into swimming at least twice week,!
Positive experience: Love the pools but the changing village always smells really strongly of urine which is really unpleasant.
Fantastic experience: Love this gym and can’t wait to be given the health clearance to return. So many different resistance machines & free weights, plenty of treadmills & cross trainers, & as a member you get to attend the classes & the pool all included. You can also use the other Everybody facilities as part of the membership. Staff are friendly & knowledgeable & you soon feel part of the gym community.
Fantastic experience: I had a great couple of hours swimming in the Brine pool & sitting relaxing afterwards by the pool. The water is fantastic. We are so lucky to have this in our lovely town of Nantwich. I only wish it could have a covered dome just for winter use, Im sure people would use it then also.
Fantastic experience: My family and I loved the ourdoor pool. We'll definitely visit again.
Fantastic experience: A really nice place to take the kids and the family. A real gem in the area..
Fantastic experience: Nice and quiet can relax and swim
Positive experience: Lovely looking gym swimming pools are fab especially the outdoors one , but a not enough cardio machines in the gym , gym is very small especially for the amount of people that use it. Kinda off putting the size of gym area .
Negative experience: Not enough cardio machines. Very annoying and selfish Machine hogs that spend longer than the 20mins when gym is busy. Very expensive if doing pay as you go.
Negative experience: I wentto nantwich out door baths Absolutely shocking that it was over £6 ,for just 2 hours. What a rip off as previously you could go for half a day for the amount. Considering the amount of money spent the out door baths are shocking. The toilets are still a disgrace not enough chairs or sun loungers. The grass was shocking as there were mole hills where staff had tryed to get rid of There was a documentary earlier in the year showing off the brine pool. If i was the council I would be embarrassed about the condition of the place. What has the money been spent on. You even have to book on line and speak to a contact centre not everyone has technology or a mobile phone and some phones like mine are not able to book online What happened to jyst being able to turn up and if its full you que.
Fantastic experience: Love this place for the day great open air pool
Positive experience: Gym is very small, it's that small that it is always busy no matter what time or day. There is a distinct lack of mirrors which helps with checking your posture. The online booking system also needs some work as does the cancellation process for those who consistently don't turn up to classes! 3 strikes and they should be unable to book for 2 weeks. Too often people book and don't show up which then limits others from being able to join the classes which is unfair. Other than that, instructors are all fabulous and friendly, reception staff - no complaints I would say that communication needs improvement as several times instructors have gone on holiday and informed the centre cover is needed for their classes, only to find that the reception staff had no idea and nobody shows up for classes. Some significant improvements needed for £36 a month
Positive experience: Can be busy when the school kids get there after 4. Otherwise great equipment

Fantastic experience: Very clean and well organised with very up to date equipment
Fantastic experience: The outdoor brine pool is a lovely good workout swim
Fantastic experience: I've visited Nantwich Leisure Centre to swim in the outdoor pool several times in the last 2 years. The actual pool itself is amazing. It is a heated brine pool 30 metres in length and is surrounded by benches and loungers. There's also a toilet block handily located at the shallow end. Personally, I enjoy swimming lengths, and whilst the water does feel a little cold when you first enter, it proves to be perfect once you've swim a few lengths. There changing facilities are very clean and feature lockers, warm showers and changing cubicles. I've also always found the reception staff to be friendly and approachable. I always travel by train to visit the facility (the station is 10-15 minutes walk away), but there's also a large car park at the centre.
Positive experience: Amazing outdoor pool ♀️ but today was very cold 18 degrees I could not get warm
Positive experience: Staff are great pool is nice gym is well equipped!
Negative experience: Price has recently gone up to £6.85 for an adult Swim which is absolutely ridiculous!!!! I don’t want to join monthly as I will never use the gym or fitness classes, I only enjoy swimming!!!! Iv decided to stop swimming and go for a walk which is free!!!!! With the cost of living prices for food, electric and gas I cannot justify this increase for swimming unfortunately
Positive experience: Nice pool but very impressed with the Masters swimming session. Effectively free coaching for the price of a normal swim session and I was still welcomed even though I was the slowest there. Great service and will be visiting again.
Fantastic experience: It is very clean the saff are helpfully and you are welcome with a smile. The only thing is that I cannot always get in for aquafit so extra sessions would be welcome.
Fantastic experience: We need more outdoor Brine pools in uk. Brilliant should have gone before! Well done Nantwich and Everybody gyms!
Positive experience: Such a great surprise to find an open air brine pool. Also indoor pool. Great water aerobics class on Saturday morning, good price, clean venue, ample parking.
Positive experience: Nice salty water, great staff, lane swimming ♀️
Positive experience: Very busy place when different age group lessons taking place
Positive experience: Good range of classes, the studio is small quite difficult to book on the classes
Fantastic experience: Well organised and kids had a great time.
Positive experience: As a member I use the outdoor pool during the summer months, beautiful pool however there are not enough sun loungers and seating to accommodate everyone . The refurbishment hasn't been done outside which is a shame as its a lovely pool and my children like to come here for a swim , the kiosk which sells ice cream and drinks by the pool is also shut .
Fantastic experience: The outdoor pool is amazing. Definitely worth a visit. Kids will love it.
Positive experience: So far- so good. The new gym upgrade is great, the only downside is the fact there isn’t enough mirrors. I think mirrors are great to check your posture and whether you’re doing movement properly. Definitely room for improvement! Cafe is lovely - definitely does the job. Great customer service - clean and friendly.
Fantastic experience: Good outdoor swimming pool. Not enough Sun Loungers. I would love to go there again. Better to book before visiting.
