Negative experience: This is the most disgusting pool and spa i have visited. Changing rooms were filthy, caked in dust. Facilities are shockingly bad, I actually felt dirty when I left. I believe the changing rooms are getting a revamp. They should shut the whole thing and revamp the lot. I will not be returning. £19 for a day pass , I stayed less than 2 hours. Filthy! Dont waste your money . If I could rate it 0 stars I would .

Positive experience: The facility of the pool sauna spa area is very nice Only tips I would give is to clean behind seats of the sauna on the floor as you can see the dirt when you look down behind the seats, don't really wanna breathe this in, also I love the steamroom but the steamroom pipe is in an awkward place so it can burn if you sit in the back area, may be able to amend? Everything else is of good quality and overall I did enjoy my relaxing visit and would return.

Negative experience: I have have been a member of the gym in the past a good few years ago it was always a welcoming and friendly place and have been quite a few times via a spa pass I visited today the foyer has had a make over and is lovely Unfortunately the changing rooms showers are absolutely awful! old and scruffy, I went for a shower and was going to use the disability seat as I’m recovering from a leg injury but the seat itself was disgusting and stained. I went in the shower and it smelt musty I thought was the shower curtain but as I looked up the ceiling was full of black mould and the paint was falling off, the place was just grubby! I mention this to one of the other ladies getting changed she said yes it’s being done up soon….. but black mould is just disgusting and dangerous also it can be cleaned off with bleach which obviously hasn’t been done or cleaned at all! I have taken pictures but can’t seam to add them

Fantastic experience: I visited this gym once and so tempted to join the club. It's such a lovely place with an amazing spa, fun classes, and the staff are just so nice and always ready to help you out. I really think everyone in the area should check it out.

Negative experience: Probably the worst gym in Manchester , let kids get changed in a room with naked men and women , urine on the floors , staff all do gym workouts together and not help actual members , if you complain they argue back to you , avoid this gym absolutely shocking

Fantastic experience: Only visited for the day but I loved this place! The pool was so inviting/relaxing...so easy to put some laps in, either when there was a few people in the pool. Powerful sauna and steam room, great jacuzzi! Staff were very helpful too. Thoroughly recommend, now I just need to find something like this in London!

Fantastic experience: I guess choosing a gym is a very personal choice and what appeals to one person won't to another. So why do I like here? It's local to me and there is plenty of on-street parking nearby so it doesn't take a long time to park up and walk in. The gym is well-lit particularly with natural light from outside which makes it feel nicer inside. There is a "family-feel" to the place which comes from not just the owners but also the staff, all of whom are happy to stop and have a word with you. The personal trainers certainly "know their stuff" and there are plenty of them to choose from to suit your style of training. There is a nice cafe there as well serving healthy snacks post workout. Or even something a little bit naughty to treat yourself with (but only if you've worked hard). It has all the equipment that you would expect in a gym.

Fantastic experience: Such a lovely welcoming gym which has seen a lot of improvement of the last couple of years. Great range of classes, nice pool/ spa area and also two other great business, Unwind with Me and Spa by Jodie means Kingfisher really does cover all bases!

Fantastic experience: Kingfisher Health Club is a great little gym that has a laid-back atmosphere but with a commitment to achieving results. The rewards system they have adds a motivational edge, it keeps everyone on track. The pool, sauna, steam, and jacuzzi offer a perfect after workout retreat, and the cafe area is a great space for socialising or work. I find both the owner and staff are easy to talk to with their exceptional customer service. It's a top recommendation for beginners and seasoned gym enthusiasts alike. Looking forward to the new spin bikes and future plans to modernising the gym. I've already witnessed positive changes over the past 12 months! ️‍♀️

Fantastic experience: I love teaching Pilates at Kingfisher and now Reformer! The studios are lovely and have that nice relaxing vibe about them. As well as teaching I also use the other facilities such as the gym and swimming pool and sometimes get my nails done at Spa&Co there. It’s an all rounder for me!

Fantastic experience: I do a lot of aqua aerobics and other classes. I’m there at least 5 times a week doing more than one thing a day. Everyone is very friendly and I’ve met new friends. I would highly recommend it

Negative experience: Shabby and poorly staffed and managed.

Negative experience: 3 Year membership review. Sauna is blistering hot, multiple members have complained about the temperature and they say "there is no temp dial, it's always been this hot" the temp gauge inside the sauna clearly is on the RED zone which is too hot, you're supposed to relax not try to fight a heat stroke. The boxing bag upstairs is practically unusable, they book a 1:1 yoga session and take up the entire studio room to cater their snowflake clientele. The showers stink of shit and piss. The swimming pool are dirty, the jacuzzi smells absolutely filthy. There's a new owner that kicked out multiple staff and his only goal seems to be making as much money as possible without any customer service or care. There's a shouting coach at the swimming pool that screams at the top of his lungs which has probably affected my hearing quite a bit. What a disgusting performance. This gym seems to benefit those who partake in group classes and that's it. Save your money, save your time and mental energy.

Fantastic experience: Came here just by chance as I needed to come just as a one off and they were able to accomadate a day pass. Great gym well fitted with everything that you need. Very nice reception staff and friend locals.

Fantastic experience: I first joined this gym when it was built over 20 years ago, & have been.a member sporadically in the interim. It's small & friendly with great facilities & a good range of classes - the yoga with Ruth is a must! The equipment and pool is well maintained and fortunately the gym isn't too posey- you don't have to suck your belly in when you're pounding the treadmill or put on a full face of make up and pink lycra Not the cheapest option ( and unfortunately the price of a day ticket for your guest has risen so high it's a deterrent), but worth it.

Positive experience: Been a member little over, possibly two years, really enjoy going to the Kingfisher Health club it’s like a little hidden gem just the right tone of staff interaction, friendly but not overly friendly accommodating but not pressurising. It’s clean spacious friendly. Oh, I said that. Some of the classes are just excellent. I don’t do all of them you can just make the match you can find what suits you. You can see where your level is and then I’ll fit the classes in to suit your own schedule . . You really do feel like they know what they’re doing Sk as well as the gym facility which is slowly being upgraded. So full marks there. Some meant says it’s pricey, but to me, it’s worth every penny. I love the steam room I’m not a big on s sauna Give me an headache. I love the pool can be a bit busy at times, but if you get a sweet spot and it’s just like you or maybe two others, it’s literally just a little unique little gem, normally it’s cost an absolute fortune fortune for that standard…I know I paid in the past it, so I said well done. A plus all the added extras that they have like a one-to-one session and they’ve got droppings as well post you know that Little tax a new one you’ve not been for awhile really cute.

Negative experience: Poor value for money and poor customer service. I signed up to this gym and was instantly disappointed by the rude staff on reception and the poor quality of the gym. When cancelling the membership within 24hour of signing up and requesting a refund, my request was just ignored. Only after chasing up my original email they unapologetically accepted my refund request deducting admin fees and the cost of a day pass. This purposely defeated the point of the refund. To top it off they didn’t even send that

Negative experience: That is a lie. I have now cancelled my membership. A cold shower after a sauna is a basic requirement. The hygiene levels in the men's changing room was also a factor in me leaving.

Fantastic experience: Ticks all the boxes Kingfisher Health Club is a unique health club which you can tell prioritises customer service and member experience. You are welcomed with a genuine smile from the friendly team members and they are always on hand for advice. The club has a perfect blend of a relaxed friendly atmosphere with a results driven ethos at it’s core..They want members to get results. I really love their rewards system and free training plans which they have in place to keep members motivated. The pool, sauna, steam and jacuzzi are perfect for relaxation after a class or gym session and the cafe area is great to chat with follow members or open the laptop to do some work. Thank you to the owner and all staff. I would highly recommend Kingfisher Health Club to experienced gym goes and beginners to exercise.

Negative experience: Poor facilities with a high membership fee. I stopped going since new year but carried on paying until may to finish my 12-month contract. I've just noticed they have been taking payment since may, as they put me on a "rolling" contract despite no contact with me to see if i even wanted to renew! And even now, they expect me to pay for this month. This place is a joke, spend half the money and go to lifeleisure.

Positive experience: Friendly staff and decent food in the cafe. Gym and other areas all very clean. The gym itself is a decent size and has basically all of the equipment you could want although there is the odd piece that is a little worn. pool and sauna is a great addition that not every gym has Haven't been to any classes but seems they are relatively regular and can be booked through an app.

Negative experience: Small swimming pool now shared with kids for swimming lessons twice a week. Steam room out of order for months. Before that hot tub out of order for weeks. Probably not good value for money as unable to use pool area freely.

Negative experience: These [censored] are the worst. You sign up with them once, and then for ever they will spam your mobile phone number with text messages to re-join them or whatever else. And the messages always come from a different number so once you block one number, you will get another message later anyway. PS. REPLY to the reply below: It's NOT always from the same number - I have a list now a mile long of blocked numbers from Kingfisher. And what, you're telling me to reply to any of your scam phone numbers or give you any of my details. Is this a joke? Ceasing to harass people is on YOUR shoulders, not mine. Perhaps I'll look into harassment laws.

Fantastic experience: 10 years ago I was suffering from severe depression and anxiety. I could hardly leave my own house but having a toddler meant I had to force myself to face the world so as he joined nursery I found kingfisher health club and my life changed. This is by far the best gym I have ever been to. It has none of the pretentious posers or pushy staff. Everyone from the owners to the PT team as genuinely passionate about their customers and the community that is kingfisher. I am once again fortune enough to be close by to this gym and so immediately joined and urge anyone reading this but scared that a gym is not the right environment for them to go, meet the people, the other customers and see the amazing facilities you will not be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: This place makes going to the gym actually fun. The staff are always friendly and willing to help and the owners are lovely, always saying hello and encouraging you. The gym area and pool are always clean and tidy too. Good selection of classes to keep you spoilt for choice and if a class isn’t your things there’s looooooads of equipment to stay busy on, no matter what your goal is. The pool isn’t too big that it’s daunting but it’s big enough for everyone to have space to swim properly, it’s relaxing and a calm space to relax after being upstairs. It’s not a snobby gym full of big strong people, it’s a mix of real people there to work out. No judging, no unwanted attention and no “I’m better than you”, it’s super inclusive.

Fantastic experience: I've been a member since January 2019, I love the place everyone friendly staff and customer a like! Every where clean staff have alway been helpful even rang me when I didn't return after first visit as I'd found out I had broken my shoulder, they even offered to put my membership on pause but as knew the pool would help with my physio I never saw the point! I think it says a great deal about the place no other gym has offered this to me and I know I'm not the only one they helped this way! Honestly if you don't believe me just try a day pass you won't be sorry.

Negative experience: Read the small print in the contracts. My partner and I got stuck paying for 5 months on a 3 month contract. I has to stop going to the gym when I broke my arm and paid up until the 'commitment end date'. Only to be told that the commitment end date is only the end of your commitment if you give a full month's notice. I was helpfully told I could have frozen the membership after I had to pay my membership off..!
