Tumbles Academy of Gymnastics: Opinions
Fantastic experience: Been coming to preschool classes for 6 months or so, in that time my little one has become so confident, can flip on a bar, tried to start her own roly poly workshop at nursery and has genuinely found something she enjoys, the classes are taught in both a fun but educational manner, we know the names of moves and different shapes (tuck, straddle, pike etc) and practice at home! We have today been to their Christmas show and all I can say is considering how many children and spectators were in there it was ran seamlessly! Communication has been fab and other parents here so lovely as we needed a ticket last minute so straight on the groups WhatsApp to save the day! So many amazingly talented children and all credit to the coaches for teaching these routines and all skills involved! Also props to everyone involved in today’s show it was brilliant!
Thank you
Positive experience: A great place for kids of all ages. Even pre-school. The staff are lovely and super friendly and speak really well to the kids, all who are learning at different levels. They don't expect too much from them and are really professional. Also, there is a screen on the wall so you can watch your kids do there thing. (Although I think they could do with 2 screens instead of 1 because there are 2 rooms and the cameras charge on screen every 10 seconds or so, so you don't get alot of chance to actually watch your kids do there thing. 2 screens would stop this) I'd honestly give it 5 out of 5 but there's just a couple things you should know. 1 - cost. The monthly cost isn't too bad for the gymnastics. 1 lesson a week cost just under £30 a month so not too bad. But you also have to pay for insurance per year on top of that. Again, if you've only got 1 kid it's not too bad, but when you have more than 1 that attends, it becomes expensive. 2 - timing and size. So the size of unit is large, for the actual gymnastics side of it. However, the waiting room isn't that big really considering how many people are there waiting for their kids. Most of the time you end up standing for the hour as all the chairs are taken. This is really down to how they schedule each class. They have a slight overlap between classes ending and classes starting. So In that overlap, you can barely even get in to the waiting room. (Which is a problem when your kids are being called in and then they dump their coats, shoes and what ever else they have on you in the very narrow corridor.) If they simple had just 10 mins between classes, this would not happen. Which brings me on to problem 3. 3 - parking. The car park itself is tiny. (Not helped by the above problem) now there are a few extra spaces to park on the opposite car park, but still not alot. So you'll often find cars parked on kerbs etc blocking places just so the parents can get their kids in on time. Again, if the scheduling between classes was done better, this wouldn't be an issue. But honestly, apart from these 3 problems, the place is great. The kids love it and we will continue to attend
Thank you
Positive experience: Is the competitive gymnastics for a whole yer or do I have to pay every lesson?
For a full year
Fantastic experience: It is the best place for toddlers and children
Thank you
Fantastic experience: I wish I could give more than just 5 stars!!! My son has been with Tumbles for under 3 months, and he has developed not only his skills but his confidence too. Rachael is a fantastic coach and very supportive. When I look at the gym, the coaches and the children are all happy - you can not fault this club. Gymnastics is a tough sport and Tumbles has that right balance of supportive, helpful and great coaching. Thank you from me and Caleb
Thank you
Negative experience: I will never recommend tumbles I have been harassed constantly for money sometimes up to seven times a month for payments when it is the incompetence of office staff whom have no idea no idea how to run a business and our rude to parents, please do not attend.
We find this review very disappointing and upsetting. There as been no incompetence of staff. Only understanding and compassion. We only send a payment reminder after the payment has failed.
As with all gymnastics clubs and children’s sports we are heavily reliant on consistent and timely fees. Late payments cost us due to increased administrative costs.
Our Terms and Conditions state lessons must be paid for in advance/prior to classes starting.
Positive experience: It's really poor that there are no baby changing facilities - especially when attending the toddler session. A mobile wheel-out cart, I don't believe is a vilable option - for two reasons. 1, time required to get this out when in a session. 2, all the staff are busy teaching sessions.... Apart from that, it's good.
Hi Joe, We are pleased to inform you the baby changing facility has been fitted in our Lowton centre. The mobile was a temporary measure until we had the funds for the unit.
Negative experience: Never have I saw a worse gym. I cancelled my daughter's classes within one month of starting and they asked for an additional £25 to cancel. I have no idea how this gym is permitted to function; complete rip-off. They should be providing refund not asking money for cancellation.
Hi Abayomi,
As per our emails notice of cancellation must be given via email. Otherwise, we have no idea of your intention to leave our club. You will understand that in such cases we are obliged to pay staff and establishment costs for the sessions and there is no opportunity to offer the class to another child.
The cancellation process is outlined in our terms and conditions.
Fantastic experience: My granddaughters enjoy learning gymnastics here. Very friendly staff, and great facilities.
Thank you
Fantastic experience: A great gym for kids to learn new skills, exercise, gain confidence and make friends. It offers classes for all the family, from Pre-school to adult classes. Camps are running throughout kids holidays and they are also running regular open play sessions for school age kids. A great place to keep the kids fit and active!
Thank you
Fantastic experience: My daughter has been attending tumbles for just over 12 months. I cannot describe the level of confidence they have given her. Every session she comes out with a huge smile and excited to tell me about the new skills she has learnt. She has been attending holiday camp through the holidays and often says "I wish I could stay even longer". If you want a friendly club that will challenge and help to grow your child's confidence then tumbles is the club for you. 5 stars just isn't enough x
Thank you for your kind words, Michelle.
Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend this gymnastics club enough! I have watched my children’s gymnastics skills grow and develop. The coaches are amazing and have lots of experience and patience.
Thank you
Fantastic experience: My girls love it
