Positive experience: Joined recently and have been impressed so for, the gym and pool aren’t overly crowded around the times I go 2pm.

Fantastic experience: I went first thing in the morning, and the gym was quiet no waiting for any of the equipment.

Positive experience: Okay for a local gym, although can get quite busy at times (especially when they have swimming lessons on). Also, some of the equipment is in dire need of refurbishment.

Negative experience: Hidden payments that aren’t disclosed with you until you are already in the contract.

Negative experience: Horrible, You get ringworm from the pool.

Fantastic experience: I've been a member of GymEtc for almost 2 years. It's more than a gym it's a hub and a Community asset! I joined with my friend Chris as soon as I moved to the area of Lowton. It's a fabulous place where I've met lots of friends and continue to do so. The reception staff are friendly, very helpful,they care about their clients!There's no question I will be a member for many years to come! I particularly love the aqua aerobics class where we have a whole lot of fun exercising with like minded people. Top marks for gymEtc.

Fantastic experience: Been going 3 times a week for over a month now, wish I’d have signed up sooner. Never too busy, staff seem lovely, good sized car park. Seem to have all the equipment you could want + classes too.

Fantastic experience: Lowton gym is fantastic. Great staff, great trainers, great classes A+ and great equipment. Only improvements I’d make is add a large clock in the studio as watching time is a motivator. Also add some jacketed hangers. Love the place!

Positive experience: Too small, not enough cardio equipment so at peak times ur left with nothing, some machines showing signs of age now with cracks and non functioning controls.,more space dedicated to weights, plus there is a certain age group that I hardly ever see wipe down the machines with the cleaning products supplied after there sweaty work outs,I don't think the staff clean much either, as some one has put used chewing gum in one of the drink holders of the machines and its been there over 6 days now along with someone's hair clip in another machine. Edit its still here in the first week of April (chewing gum)

Fantastic experience: I started out a newbie, had no clue as to what I was doing, and was scared to ask how things worked. I've been going to gymect Lowton for about a year now, and my confidence has grown, muscles stronger, and I feel amazing in myself. The staff are wonderful and are very knowledgeable. The classes have a great structure and are brilliant for just getting started. Not only do the instructors talk through how to perform exercises, but what muscle groups you are training at that time. My favourite instructor is Lucy, as she is supportive, motivating, and incredibly kind.

Positive experience: I love the swimming pool facilities but staff could do with reminding the older folk that it is a pool in which to exercise, not a hot tub for them to stand around nattering and blocking the length of the pool!

Negative experience: Been going to this gym for a while now, its gone massively downhill in the past few months. Equipment is temperamental, stop/start working clearly due to age. This has been the case since i first joined and equipment is removed and never replaced once broke. The gym has been getting noticeably dirtier in the past few months especially, with there sometimes being nothing to clean the sticky equipment down between uses. The pool is horrendous. Swimsuit drier ripped off the wall with no sign of replacement, none of the shower doors stay shut, the pool itself isn't wide enough for more than 2 people to swim in it at any time, and the hot tub easily has 5+ people who cram in. Never mind the constant stream of kids swimming lessons which will no doubt increase in the summer hols.

Fantastic experience: Joined a few weeks ago now . So pleased i did everything about the gym is great the classes ,staff and facilities . The only thing that could do with updating is how you book on classes at the moment you have to go in and book or cancel. An app would be great The members ive met are friendly iam so glad i joined highly recommend

Negative experience: I’ve loved this gym for years because it was my little escape to go and relax and unwind but now it’s just constantly full of kids due to the swimming lessons. Never used to be this bad. Can’t move in the changing rooms and even in the daytime there are family’s in there. This club is not big enough or the right type of club to host so many lessons. You can’t create an ambient, relaxing experience in the spa when you’ve got bunches of kids screaming and running around. I end up more stressed when I leave than when I arrive. Gym equipment is old too. Hope you manage to sort these issues out

Positive experience: Staff really friendly and helpful, the fact it has a swimming pool and Sauna is a bonus. There is also plenty parking for clients who have to come by car.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member for 15 months and going to gyms for 30 plus years on and off, the facilities, ambiance and upkeep of them are 2nd to none I’ve ever been to, the staff are all exceptionally friendly and helpful, I reserve special appreciation of Katy and Suzie every time I visit they are always so happy to see me, for how busy taking time to chat/ show interest in and make me feel valued, thanks ladies and keep on going the extra mile for customers because we leave happy

Toilet n showers. Lowton of East lancs road. Reasonable prices. Great place to work out. Massage therapist available.

Negative experience: Customer service is terrible, also charge £5 for a replacement card this isn't advertised anywhere in the gym. Lucky if you get a reply to any emails.

Positive experience: Nice gym, gym floor not the biggest but well equipped, no Olympic bars so no proper rack for squats or bench or seats, they do have a Smith though this place is nice but it's more leisure centre in my opinion. Good luck getting in the pool though, constantly kids swim lessons

Positive experience: Would be the best gym if they put a power rack in. Theirs plenty room, power rack you could do Olympic barbell squats, free bench press, proper pull ups, dips and military presses and wouldn’t take much room up. Small price to pay to completely transform the gym. Would deffo be 10/10. Also the speaker system could do with an upgrade find it hard to get motivated when you can’t hear the music and the music isn’t good. One last thing maybe a system that can instead of using a card to sign in, an app on your phone that signs you in.

Fantastic experience: This gym is simply amazing, I joined a year and a half ago at age 17 and was 3 1/2 stone heavier so I was obviously a bit nervous about joining but the staff were so friendly and didn't make me feel like I was stupid when I asked any questions and they have excellent facilities with a gym, sauna, steam room and swimming pool. They also have a hair salon and personal training available. I'd say the only downside is that the swimming pool isn't massive so it can get slightly hard to swim sometimes.

Positive experience: It's a nice gym overall. The equipment is a bit dated but it's clean and tidy and not too busy. The pool and steam room are nice and the staff friendly.

Positive experience: Overall good value for money and good premises with wide range of equipment to use, has a swimming pool, steam and sauna. Pool could do with less chlorine, weight machine cushions especially leg machines need replacing.

Positive experience: Really enjoyed the aqua arobics think I need to do this for a few weeks then maybe get into the machines
