Fantastic experience: A Life-Changing Experience for My Daughter! We’ve been part of The Martial Arts Academy family for over four years now, and I truly can’t say enough great things about it. My daughter started here when she was just 5 years old, and from day one, it’s been an incredibly positive experience. The instructors are nothing short of amazing — they’re patient, encouraging, and truly passionate about what they do. They know how to connect with kids in a way that builds both skills and confidence. She’s currently enrolled in both Ju Jitsu and Kickboxing classes, and she absolutely loves them. The progress she’s made over the years, not just physically but also in terms of discipline and self-confidence, has been phenomenal. It was an easy decision for us to sign up for the lifetime membership — four years in, and we’re still just as impressed and excited for what’s to come. If you’re considering a martial arts school for your child, The Martial Arts Academy is the best decision you’ll make. We’re so grateful to be part of this supportive and empowering community!

Fantastic experience: Brilliant place to learn some new skills. Adam was very welcoming when I came in for my trial and I felt straight at ease as part of the class. So good I signed up that same evening- looking forward to getting stuck in with the team!

Fantastic experience: Myself and my two sons attend this dojo and I can honestly say, it's the best place to be. Not only are you having fun and getting fit, but you are also learning a unique set of life skills, hopefully you never need to use them. All staff are super friendly and they all know what they are doing.

Fantastic experience: My son has been attending for 4 years and loves it, in the last 12 month's he's experienced awful bullying at his new school but all the staff at rhe dojo were brilliant with him and gave him an outlet to feel safe and learn self defense which he did have to use, big shout out to Lynsey Jenkins and Rachel Wilson for being so supportive to me, and Daz for being there for Jayden, he really loves you, I don't think you realise how much we appreciate you all, thank you Adam and the team you're all amazing

Fantastic experience: Thanks to all the staff at St Helens Martial Arts. Our children have thoroughly enjoyed their first 6 months at the dojo. Sessions are well structured, the staff are dedicated and they made the grading experience very positive, whether children moved up a full belt or partial belt with tags. 1-1 sessions before grading are a must!

Fantastic experience: Amazing instructors and classes. We've all signed up to the various classes for over 18 months now. Love every minute of it. Children have gained so much confidence in themselves. I've learned so much from Dave. Adam and the team are fantastic!

Fantastic experience: Fantastic little place. Two of my children go here for judo lessons, and they love it. Well organised outfit.

Positive experience: The Atemi-Jitsu is fantastic, however, the Karate classes are disappointing. The instructor, although a nice fella, does not seem to be teaching the class the things they need to move on to their next belts. Instead of following the syllabus and getting the class ready for grading, the class ends up doing things such as black belt kata and going over stuff they have already been graded on. There also seems to be zero sparring, so application seems to be non-existent (how can you learn to defend yourself if you are just kicking air all the time?).

Fantastic experience: I sent a message on the contact form and very soon after i was contacted by Lynsey she has been absolutely amazing she got my son booked in for 2 taster sessions he absolutely loved it he trained with 2 different trainers and both are amazing at what they do the kids are engaged and have so much fun all whilst learning , at the 2nd session my youngest also joined in both have not stopped talking about it and can’t wait to get to their next lesson, I will 100% recommend them to anyone who wants to get their children involved in Martial Arts Thank you so so much again Rachel

Fantastic experience: As a family we love this club. My son has been accepted into his classes with open arms. He has progressed so much and continues to learn new skills every week with the help of all of the coaches. He has made friendship groups, as have we has parents. My son has numerous neurodevelopmental conditions and this has never been considered different to other children or any issues... he has simply only ever had fair treatment and encouragement. We're so proud to be part of this club.

Fantastic experience: I have a little boy who had a few lessons in nursery. Wanted to try real classes and from minute one, Adam, Logan and Angel have been so fantastic, he now can't wait for his class. Good leadership prompts good students. Top school, thank you all.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely fantastic academy, my daughter is only 3 she absolutely loves it. Her confidence has massively improved in asuchba short space. The staff are so patience, work hard and so well within the team. I honestly couldn't recommend enough.

Negative experience: totally disappointed with what is going on inside the club. children are not appreciated according to the knowledge but as we pay. I'm sorry I wasted too much time. no presence or absence is taken into account. if it's paid it's ok to go to the next level. focuses only on money. Too bad, good trainers.

Fantastic experience: 3 of my 4 kids (4th is a baby) attend as well as myself. Couldnt be happer with the place. Quality set up and atmosphere. The great staff/ teachers cater for all ages and abilities.

Fantastic experience: Had my son's birthday party here today. Every child got stuck in and learned new skills in a fun and engaging environment. Half of the kids left at the end asking their parents if they could join the weekly classes; greeted with such sweaty smiling faces, I'm sure most will be happily signing them up! For a group of 6 year old boys, the party was the perfect mix of structure and free play, coaching and silliness. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: My 8 year old Daughter has been attending the online classes for the past few weeks at St Helens Martial Academy and fitness and really enjoys her self , Adam the instructor is fantastic and the online class has been awesome, I would recommend this to anyone with kids , even if they are not into martial arts and just want to keep fit and have a good time , it’s great fun and high energy and no experience needed. My daughter loves this and now wants a place at the academy and has now found herself a new hobbie and made new friends. Best online club for kids going! Can’t wait for them to open the doors again. 10 out of 10.

Fantastic experience: Having trained with Adam for many years I can honestly say he's one of the best instructors out there, dedicated, patient and driven. He's never lost the enthusiasm for martial arts and constantly strives for improvement and this passion really shows in his students. A great place to train weather for general fitness or for those life long martial artists. I can't praise him enough.
