Our WHY is to show men there is a way to lose weight, keep it off, gain energy, increase confidence, build muscle and improve well-being without spending hours in the gym, eating chicken and broccoli and giving up their favourite drink even if they are very busy so they can enjoy their weekends with the family.
I'm 36 years old at the beginning of 2018 my weight had skyrocketed to 18 stone 3lbs. I was drinking alcohol most night, I was comfort eating and I was depressed, I was also suffering from anxiety.
Even though I had a beautiful wife and 3 beautiful kids I felt like I had nothing left to give. I had no energy and I could not even tie my shoelaces up without getting out of breath, things were bad ........and then I meet mike!
First conversation I was nervous but within a few minutes of talking to him via FaceTime he made me feel comfortable and relaxed about things and we started to look towards the future (something I had not done in a long time).
The weekly goals kept me determined and focused throughout the week before I would report back to mike with our weekly calls. Without even realising, the weekly goals were making me fitter and stronger and it was leading and preparing me to smash my 12-week goals. Without even realising Michael had installed into me the belief and the determination I needed to move forward, the positivity he was giving out had rubbed onto me which then was recognised by my family.
I found myself in the gym and running and also doing weights with a routine we had talked through a tweaked week by week , my food plan that we discussed together was amazing I was counting calories and eating more than ever ,but clean foods so I was never hungry.
After the 12 weeks had ended, I had lost 45lbs in weight, I went from 23% body fat down to 18%. I found that I had more energy for my family, and I saw life in a more positive light.
So I'm on my last few days of my 12 week program in “The Lean Project” headed up by my coach Michael Newman. I have to admit I have really enjoyed the process, not only did I drop 19lbs the change in my mental well-being has been far greater than my physical one. Read More...
The greatest thing about Michael's approach in my opinion is that we just set very small achievable weekly goals he holds you accountable for, or more so, you hold yourself accountable for and you get it done. Every week the first thing he asks you are “what were your wins for the week?” and it feels great to look back and recall what you did well that week and how it made you feel getting these little wins in each week. They soon add up to great results.
Little embarrassed sharing these photos, especially the before pics but maybe if it helps some of my friends get inspired as I was by my mate Craig then I'm all for it.
When I started working with Michael I was in a dark place, I was doing a lot of research and trying lots of different things, I felt a bit lost and fed up as nothing was working.
We will talk about exactly where you are today in your health, your fitness and your diet, we will also look at exactly where you want to be in your health, your fitness and your diet.

Fantastic experience: Well, not sure where to start really but my whole experience with Michael Newman during both the lean project and Fearless Man program has to be made public so that everyone can see the benefits of working with this guy. While, I, of course, had to put in the work and buy into the ethos, the result are that I have come out of the program, with which can only be described as a significant and lifelong effect upon me for the better of course My self development, not just in terms of my fitness and diet but me has a whole has been nothing short of life changing. My new found ability to understand myself, which has resulted in a huge increase in my confidence and self esteem, as well as enabling me to set goals and visions for the future and finding the courage, confidence and determination to not only obtain those but progression beyond them. I am no longer satisfied with making do. The desire to improve and learn everyday and my new mindset and vigor for hitting the day head on. It has not just me that has noticed my transformation but those around me too and the affect is infectious. The program has helped me deal with issues which were keeping stuck in the past and helped me concentrate on the here and now and the future. I now realise that these difficult moments in the past have helped my mental toughness and helped me realise how strong I am and how far I can go. I feel that I have the tools and knowledge to help me achieve anything that I want. Michel has built a group of like minded men who help push each other to their potential and beyond In Michael and the guys in the group I now have new friends for life and that in itself is worth more than any thing that money can buy. The investment in the program given my achievements and development is a small price to pay for the lasting effect that the program has had on me. There are no words available to express how eternally grateful I am and always will be to Mike for my transformation and the strides I have made during the last 9 months. The program is designed specifically around each individual and there specific target areas. Those can change through the program and Michael is able to adapt the program accordingly. As well as being incredibly dedicated and knowledgeable, he is one of the most sincere person I have ever met. His vision for his clients and understanding of their personal challenges is empowering and effective. I shall miss our weekly personal sessions but will ensure that I continue to move forward everyday. Thanks again Michael and have a great weekend mate.

Fantastic experience: I have had personal trainers before but never a fitness and behavioural coach. Best decision I ever made was to sign up to his 12 week plan in The Lean Project. I managed to lose 19lbs in 12 weeks and I wasn’t the biggest guy in the world to start with. I tried So many other fitness routines diets etc which never worked for me and I didn’t enjoy any of them. This I enjoyed from the very start Michael makes it very easy and I highly recommend him and his services to anyone looking to improve their health and fitness including their mental health and fitness to :-)
Fantastic experience: I worked with Michael in The Lean Project which is his 12 week program , I lost 47lbs !! Chuffed to bits . I was still able to eat the things I loved , but just gained more understanding of food . My mental health was worked on aswell . Let me tell you this guy isn’t just a pt or a fitness coach ...this guy creates a new you from your mindset to your physique. Cannot recommend him enough !! Craig
