Fantastic experience: I have been going to the gym for many years and no gym has topped this one! Has all the machines you ever need, I have been to many gyms that cram all the machines in and this gym has so much space for everyone to work out!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been training here for a while now, and it’s honestly the best gym experience I’ve ever had. The equipment is always clean, well-maintained, and there’s a great variety for both strength training and cardio. There’s never that “waiting forever for a machine” problem, even during busier times. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely care about your progress—they’re always willing to give advice or help with form without being pushy. The atmosphere is super motivating, but still welcoming for beginners. It’s the kind of place where you can focus on your goals without feeling judged. Bonus points for the flexible opening hours, spotless changing rooms, and the fact they actually have good air-conditioning (lifesaver during intense sessions!). If you’re serious about getting results in a supportive environment, this is the place to be.

Fantastic experience: Gym culture? AB SALUTE Bishops Stortford is more like gym family. I managed to injure myself in the gym yesterday; a nice torn peck! Staff members, Imogen and Neve were amazing, helpful and professional. They were so lovely making sure i was ok. It really makes the difference and gives me confidence when recommending anyone who will listen, that your gym is number 1 in the area. So looks like cardio for me for a few months; lucky the cardio room is excellent and air conditioned!

The vibe of the gym is motivating and friendly and the equipment and area is so clean. Everyone is kind and for the first time in a long time I enjoy going to the gym again!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been training at Absalut almost since it opened, it is by far the best gym I have ever trained at and I’ve tried out quite few in bishops Stortford and london! I’ve worked out at lots of different phases of life- as a ‘hard core gym goer’ and personal trainer, in pregnancy and postpartum and at every stage everyone has been really supportive and friendly! Big shout out to Jim who is the life and soul!

Negative experience: The gym is okay, just so hot in the summer. It has missing clips a lot of the time, not the right equipment for the cables, overcrowded and the heat is unbearable even with the fans they have. To make it worse, the changing rooms have no air con or fans, they are like a sauna. Once you shower, you a dripping with sweat again because of the time of year. I have now cancelled my membership because I spoke to them multiple times about the changing rooms being so hot and I have to shower and get ready for work but it’s causing problems, they kept saying it will get sorted but it never does.

Positive experience: The gym is well equipped, good amount of bars. The music is a bit too electronic but that's just personal preference. Having trained at snap fitness, GP and body active in Harlow this is probably the best gym in the local area.

Fantastic experience: Really good gym, got all the kit you may want or need, and the music is always a vibe! Staff are all really friendly, and it's all at a very decent price. Only consideration is as it's an industrial unit without A/C, get a chilled water cooler, or freely give out ice during the summer, which would need more ice makers!
