Fantastic experience: I’ve been lucky enough to train at a number of gyms around the mainland/ Belfast, Lisburn area, and nothing has come close to what James and Edel have created at The Compound Room. They’ve built a truly exceptional space that caters to everyone from complete beginners to seasoned bodybuilders. The gym itself is outstanding. Every piece of equipment has been hand picked with purpose, and it shows. You’ll find top tier brands like Prime, Panatta, Hammer Strength, and Life Fitness just to name a few. The variety and quality on offer are second to none. What also sets The Compound Room apart is the attention to detail. The cleanliness is of the highest standard something that’s often overlooked in many gyms, but clearly a top priority here. One of the biggest standouts, though, is the atmosphere. The members are incredibly welcoming, and there’s absolutely no ego. Everyone is supportive and encouraging, helping each other push toward their own personal goals. It creates a really positive, motivating environment that makes you actually want to train. Fantastic experience: I'll preface this by saying I've seen a lot of gyms in my time in a former life as an international athlete and coach. The owners James and Edel keep this place immaculate with every single piece of kit spotlessly clean and functioning perfectly through meticulous cleaning and maintenance, a lot of other gyms should take note of this...that's before I even cover how well selected all of this equipment is and how nicely they've laid it all out so that members can get productive workouts done. Two of the best minds in the game, with one of the best gyms you'll find, as well as running a superb custom built online coaching platform to help people all around the world take out the guesswork and attend to only what matters in complete trust of the unrivalled quality of guidance. James and Edel put their locale on the map with their efforts on stage, in coaching, and in running this incredible gym.

Fantastic experience: Amazing facility with and incredible amount of equipment to suit every need that is maintained and updated regularly. Staff have an outstanding knowledge base, very friendly, and love to help out share that knowledge when they can. Great space for all athletes at any level.

Fantastic experience: I've been training in The Compound Room for about 2 & 1/2 - 3 months now and I honestly think it's the best gym in Lisburn and potentially NI. Equipment is second to none, staff are beyond helpful and always ready to answer any questions you may have. James, Edel and Stephen all go out of their way to make sure that you have everything you need. As a personal note from having been to around 4/5 gyms in Lisburn, The Compound Room staff are the only ones that have asked me about, not only my training progress but, my overall emotional and mental health and taken the time to talk with me. That kind of conversation meant more than most of my workouts. The atmosphere in this gym is amazing and all members are extremely friendly and more than happy to spot you or show you something new.

Fantastic experience: The Compound Room in Lisburn is worth all 5 stars that I am giving it. I first found out about The Compound Room in 2018 when I saw a BNBF posing club being held in the premises, and the welcoming I got from James, Edel, Eric and Co., Including the regular members made me want to continue visiting the Gym and being part of their ever growing community. Since then I have been working with James to develope my physique and create more of a positive mind set to compete in Natural bodybuilding shows. James' input into my on/off season as gotten me being able to lift 3 trophies in 2021. I can't rate The Compound Room highly enough.

I may have trained in it only a few times but even the clients were so welcoming and friendly, both James and Edel took me under their wings and made me in to a figure competitor. Fantastic experience: I can wholeheartedly say that The Compound Room is the best fitness facility I have ever trained in. There is always a warm welcome and an amazing, non ego atmosphere. You are surrounded by extremely down to earth members as well as motivational, knowledgable and just incredible coaches who always go above and beyond for their clients. Fantastic experience: Hands down the best gym I have ever trained in. There is a vast array of specialised fitness equipment which caterers for all gym goers at any fitness level. The atmosphere is amazing, the gym floor is clean, tidy, well organised as well as the sanitising station always kept topped up. The PT's and owners are so welcoming and offer the best training and nutrition info and advice. This is the most comfortable I have ever been training in a gym.

Fantastic experience: If you are planning on joining a gym, this is the gym for you, Fantastic equipment, great judgment free atmosphere, very friendly and welcoming staff and all around great gym. Having completed one of the many phase programs I can honestly say the attention to detail and knowledge is second to none, from nutritional plans to workout plans, you will not get better knowledge anywhere. Fantastic experience: I've trained at the compound room on a number of occasions when visiting family in Belfast and I have to say the welcome is always warm, owners James and Edel are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The gym itself is incredible and a better equipped space you will not find. James has been meticulous when selecting the kit he has to make sure every training session is the best you can have. I won't train anywhere else when in Belfast. Highly recommend

Fantastic experience: The Compound Room is a superb gym run by extremely professional and highly knowledgeable, self motivated owner James Melville and his lovely fiancee Edel who is also a coach. James puts a lot of preassue on customer service and he values each and every member of his gym. James knows each memeber not only by their name but he goes a step further to get to know everyone. The Compound Room employs fantastic team of profesional and self motivated coaches who are always willing to help. The gym runs successful Calisthenics team, poseing clases for clients who compeat, menthal health workshops and even bring a DJ on some saturdays. I have been member of this gym since it opened and I wouldn't change it. To me The Compound Room is more than just a gym it is a way of life.

Fantastic experience: For me this is the best gym that there is in and around the area. It is also very easy to get too and has plenty of parking. It is also more than your standard gym where everyone welcomes everyone.

Fantastic experience: I had been to 4 gyms before I joined The Compound Room..... I loved to do weights but I always struggled with feeling inadequate and lost...so I never lasted long A chance flight on Easy Jet and growing enough determination to get me through the doors..I did it! Best move ever!! The Compound Room isn't just a gym...its something more than that. It's my happy place...I don't feel inadequate when I'm there..I feel motivated and happy Friends ask me "Have you looked into this gym and that gym?..I always answer the same "Nope...its just a building with equipment in it...There is no way I would leave my gym...it offers more than that". I did look at other gyms before joining The Compound Room but didn't feel inclined to stay longer than a look around to be honest!...Not what I felt when I finally walked into The Compound Room!!! If you want a fab gym, knowledge and a friendly supportive atmosphere...join The Compound Room!!! I love my gym!! The staff are 100% and beyond and the members are great too...always happy to help with a smile To many more happy sessions there.....

Fantastic experience: When I first entered The Compound Room I couldn't help but notice how everyone was so welcoming and friendly. With that being said, if you want a place to train hard, make great gains and feel good. Then The Compound Room is the place for you. You've got everything from Shedding a few pounds to Serious Competitive Bodybuilding to Calisthenics all under the same roof. Fantastic equipment, everything layed out great. Let's not forget the Knowledge of the experienced staff, top class. Cant wait to my next visit.

Fantastic experience: This is the first gym i have been to that i have felt comfortable, supported, encouraged and motivated!! The whole team bring another dynamic to fitness and the gym enviornment! I have been at Compound room for a year and a half now and I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else!! I joined the calesthenics classes at the gym with Michael and have recieved unbelievable support from my nutrition, to fitness and goal setting! ive met all my goals so far regarding my physical appearance and weight loss to!! Its not about the weight and the inch loss, this gym has taught me to be comfortable in my skin and to work to be strong not skinny!!! I have finally got to the point where i have confidence in my appearance and for the first time actually enjoy the gym enviornment!! I love this gym; the ethos of this gym and the family unit that comes with it!! Everyone makes you feel at home and that is an imperative part of the excercise enviornment. The knowledge and expertise that the coaches have are phenomenal!! There is a vast variety of equipment available and the support that i have recieved ive never had in any other gym!! The coaches aim to educate and further all members progress. Its like a gym family 10/10 to this gym and soo much more.. I wish I had the words to explain how amazing it is and how amazing the coaches are!! Theres something at the Compound room for everyone! #goteamcompound

Fantastic experience: I come over to Ireland at least twice a year and every time I make the trip to the compound room to train. Professional clean and a wealth of knowledge from all the staff members here. Can’t recommend this place enough. I have used a number of clubs in the area also but this is by far the best for what I want from a gym.

Fantastic experience: A gym with a difference. When you think of gyms it's usually accompanied by an image of young males prancing around shirtless or ladies striking loses in the mirror. You get in and you get out. This gym couldn't be further from this. Edel and James are so unbelievably friendly and encouraging. They take the time to build rapport with their clients. Car parking is perfect and the gym is full of so much talent. Many compete in Bodybuilding competitions and thus require specific training and guidance on nutrition. To which Edel and James are only to happy to help. Fantastic gym!

Fantastic experience: Awesome friendly gym with a family feel!

Positive experience: Very friendly stuff and always up to help with instructions. The place is compact but clean, tidy and equiped with all common exercise machines. Only drawback is the lack of changing rooms and showers but for the size of it i think it's a really good option especially if you leave and/or work nearby.
