Negative experience: Absolutely shocking experience with this gym. Back in July, I was advised verbally over the phone that my membership would be cancelled as the process was not clear. It wasn’t. A few weeks later, after they charged me another direct debit, I called again and was told I needed to give 30 days’ notice via email. Fair enough I gave the notice. Yet, they STILL kept charging me. To make matters worse, I was told they cannot issue a refund unless I physically come into the gym. It’s 2025 how are your systems still so outdated that you can’t process a simple refund remotely? Completely unacceptable. The so called management at this branch are an absolute joke. They constantly fob you off, refuse to take real accountability, and make what should be a straightforward process unnecessarily stressful. I will escalate this complaint as far as i need to until someone investigates what exactly has happened and why i have been treated so poorly. I have evidence and a full timeline of every interaction, and I will escalate this complaint as far as it needs to go until I receive a satisfactory resolution. Do yourself a favour avoid this gym at all costs. There are plenty of other fitness centres in Birmingham that actually treat their customers with respect.

Positive experience: Positives - new clean gym, loads of space, great staff and free parking Constructive feedback - given this is one of the most expensive gyms in Birmingham, unfortunately it does not warrant the price point compared to competition given the space available it is seriously lacking in basic equipment! How can it take months to get a bench press? Where was the planning? You can easily fit the following much needed machines Standing multi flight Vertical chest press Viking press and calf Super seated calf Lat pull down circular Super high row Lying leg curl Pullover machine *The Hammer strength seated calf machine has really bad adjustment mechanics and should be replaced with a better version This gym has the potential and space to be the best in Birmingham but no where near at the moment, please take the advice on board

Fantastic experience: It is an amazing gym with premium cardio & resistance equipment from top fitness industry brands like Life Fitness, Hammer Strength & Jordan. The staff is also very helpful, there are also daily group classes available. It also has great shower facilities , changing rooms & digital lockers. The gym is kept clean & tidy. The free group classes are brilliant and involve bodyweight & weight plates . The quality of the kit is amazing & they have just added a new flat barbell bench Press.

Fantastic experience: I passionately believe Andy is both the best and hardworking PT in Birmingham. I have had 4 weeks of personal training with him and he has helped me to improve physically through his extensive knowledge of how the body functions, however, most importantly he has helped to improve my mindset on my situation. I won't go into specifics on my situation but will say that I was in a road traffic accident a couple of years ago so have right sided weakness and therefore can not train as intensively or effectively as before. However, Andy has pushed me safely to my limits and helped changed my limiting beliefs which has resulted in transformations far beyond just the gym. Anytime Fitness is lucky to have him. I would also like to give Nathan and Lauren a massive shout out for being so friendly and kind and answering any questions I have. The gym is kept immaculately clean and is a great place to train.

Fantastic experience: First visit to the Anytime Fitness Fort Dunlop which is near work. The staff are friendly and welcoming and there is a good range of equipment to use. The cardio equipment appear to be new

Fantastic experience: Great gym great atmosphere, Andy and his team really do set the tone here! Professional, friendly and helpful.... The gym is always clean and well maintained. The equipment is very very decent, there is everything anyone would need. The treadmills are especially impressive, I'm a runner and HATE running on treadmills, but here they have large screens on with netflix, youtube and more... Lauren the PT is a great addition to the AF team, If she's not helping people she's keeping the gym tidy and building relationships. Great work and salute the the AF team!

The gym has a fantastic family-friendly vibe that makes everyone feel comfortable. The staff as well as the other members are fantastic, always helpful, approachable and ready to assist with anything you need. Another standout feature for me is the free parking—there's plenty of it, and it's very convenient, which makes coming to the gym hassle-free. The gym itself is clean, well-maintained, and filled with the latest equipment, everything you could possibly need for a great workout. The team led by Andy always come with a smile and outstanding knowledge!
