Fantastic experience: Saw Alex for sciatica/ back issue. He really understood my problem, treated me ( felt so much better the next day) and gave me great honest advice about what I should do or avoid doing to help myself along with home exercises. I feel more relaxed, confident and empowered to help myself heal. Would fully recommend. Thanks Alex!

Fantastic experience: My teenage son was experiencing intermittent shin pains that affected his sports performance and after being on the NHS physio waiting list for five months with no relief in sight, we were fortunate to find Alex right on our doorstep. His expertise in basketball injuries was impressive, and it was clear that he knew what he was talking about. His thorough assessment helped us finally pinpoint the cause of the pain, as well as how to address it and prevent it in the future. He provided us with practical tips and easy-to-follow exercises. My son is now back on his feet and has gained valuable knowledge on how to train smartly to avoid similar injuries. I can’t praise Alex enough and it’s a shame we didn’t find him sooner.

Fantastic experience: Seen Alex at Activate for several issues over last couple years. Broken clavicle and rotator cuff, meniscus tear, adhesions following surgery and worn chondral layer. His approach is really proactive, and time has been taken to explain all elements of the rehab. The approach is more strength-based than some other approaches, and there is always an improvement that can be made no matter what physical state I have degraded to! Absolutely recommend both Alex and Activate to anyone willing to put in a little effort for a lot of gain returned

Fantastic experience: Alex Turvill has been helping me with a torn meniscus on my knee. Alex is extremely knowledgeable, rugby focused (for this old hack) and patient. He has a great manner and certainly introduced me to some new techniques which have helped me to a full rehab. Fantastic experience: Been under activate a few times in the last 24 months but this last time for 8 months due to back/hip issues, Alex has been brilliant, although I thought I would never get back to training what I was used to Alex reassured me that I would but would have to be patient. My back/hip issues are a thing of the past. Highly recommended

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to activate for close to 6 years now and they have fixed everything I’ve brought to them. From muscle spasms to breaks. Their use of the facilities at Spartan Performance for specific sports rehab is fantastic and the communication between gym and physios is A*! I’ve recommended them time and time again and I’ll continue to do so whenever I’m in the North East!

Fantastic experience: A truly excellent experience. SJ diagnosed my injury problem quickly and accurately , worked on the area in question and proscribed sets of exercises for rehabilitation. He provided oral and written advice along with videos of the exercises I had to complete. I followed his advice to the letter and was back running much earlier than anticipated and was able to complete the Great North Run. I would wholeheartedly recommend SJ to any runner who has an injury.

Fantastic experience: I broke my shoulder in 3 places back in october 2018 and had nothing but 5 star service from SJ and Barry from Jan 2019 for a few months. I was able to get full movement back to normal by March and the consultant was amazed by how much recovery I had made in the 6 months after the bike accident .I have also used Activate for rehab after knee surgery this year and Tom Duffy for a foot/heel pain/plantar fasciitis 3 months ago. Top service as always and highly recommended

Fantastic experience: I've been suffering with some back pain for some time and had my telephone consultation with Seong-Joon today. It was a thorough and professional assessment and he put some plan of action for me which I'm happy with. It proves you that a good physio can still help you despite the lock down situation. Great service!

Fantastic experience: Recommend by a friend, I was seen by the physiotherapist SJP who was fantastic! Very professional, thorough and reassuring, I had instant pain relief from my shoulder/arm injury. 2 sessions in and I have 0-minimal pain and returned to training this week with good prognosis and understanding of the injury and its prevention.
