Chapeltown Karate Club

Fantastic experience: Started at Chapeltown Karate Club in Feb 25. Really enjoying it, every week there’s a variety of different skills taught and to practice. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. I would recommend to anyone who is considering starting or returning to Karate.

Fantastic experience: Started training at Chapeltown just over 2yrs ago having heard good things about the club, and they have not disappointed! The Senseis are very knowledgeable and great instructors, there are classes for all age groups, and there's a really great community sort of feel within the club. There are even regular social events! I highly recommend CKC for anyone, of any age and ability, who wants to take up martial arts

Fantastic experience: Chapeltown karate club is a great club for young and not so young like myself at 68, it caters for all levels of fitness ,for me it has improved my fitness and keeps my mind active ,I have been at this club nearly a year now, Sensei Gary helps young and not so young like me he knows peoples limits does not push but steers you There is also a free trial for anybody what are thinking about doing karate, we also have social nights out for at age students and parents of under age students if you want to join us also a summer camp weekend I have been at a few clubs in my time but you learn a lot more at this club this is my karate family come and join our family give it a go you never know if not you your children

Fantastic experience: I am an instructor and recently rejoined the club after some years of absence due to location I have many years of martial arts experience and have trained in a few disciplines this club is a great place to train and progress with a dedicated team that encourages and guides at all stages my grandson Freddie now following in my footsteps thoroughly enjoying the journey

Fantastic experience: I joined Chapeltown Karate Club last October at the age of 40 having not done any exercise for years… it’s the best thing I’ve ever done! All the Sensei’s who work with you are amazing at teaching both kids and adults. My fitness is definitely improving, it does wonders for my mental health and I’ve already passed two gradings! It’s a great little community as well, with regular training courses and competitions bringing all the students together. Everyone is friendly and helpful. If you’re thinking of doing something different as a new challenge… go for it!!

Fantastic experience: Me and my Wife joined Chapeltown Karate club back in October.. rite from the first lesson we loved it and we felt very welcome by everyone.. it was a bit worrying joining a karate club as an adult when we didn't know anyone there however easily one of the best decisions we've made :)

Fantastic experience: Chapeltown karate is an amazing place to train. I am currently in my 40s and was a little apprehensive at first but the experience and knowledge of all of the training team is fantastic. Great way to learn new skills, keep fit and improve your general well being.

Fantastic experience: Our 2 children have attended classes for a number of years now, in that time they have learnt valuable self defence skills which in turn has made them both more confident in everyday life, also they have both made friends through ckc and was before covid looking forward to attending various activities organised by Gary and his team. We would definitely recommend chapletown karate club to anyone who's interested in getting fit, gaining confidence and learning how to protect themselves.

Fantastic experience: I joined Chapeltown Karate Club nearly 3 years ago to train with my son who had already been there a year. From the first day, I was made to feel welcome and part of the club. The instructors are fantastic and really know their stuff. The students are all friendly and helpful and there is a real team spirit, helping and giving advice. The recent renovation to the training facilities makes Chapeltown Karate Club one of the best Dojo’s in South Yorkshire. No matter how young or old you are, I would recommend joining, come along and have a go!

Fantastic experience: Trained with this club from the tender age of 5/6 and gained my black belt at the age of 13! I’m now 23 and still train here. The instructors have so much time and patience for each and every student, moulding a lot of the younger students into really respectable young adults! Prices are spot on for the dedication you get off the club owner. I recommend anyone young or old to take up this sport and I couldn’t pick a better place to start.

Fantastic experience: I have known sensei Gary for a while, he is exceptional at his job, i don’t believe its just a job for him, he definitely has the passion and many years experience in the field and with that he makes the whole experience more than i could ask for, his patience with children is amazing, and he fills adults who are also there to learn with confidence. He has a strict discipline which is what you definitely need. I highly recommend the club, the members are friendly, and the other sensei’s are brilliant.

Fantastic experience: My son has been attending CKC for 11 years, since he was 5, and my daughter for 8 years, since she was 4. The instructors are knowledgable and passionate. Karate is an excellent way to instill discipline, and students learn essential life skills. The students are a great bunch who always look out for each other, no matter what their age, and the parents are a great bunch too! Would highly recommend.
