Negative experience: No treadmill's working !!! Upholstery on equipment has holes and torn, the bins are over flowing, the carpark bin is overflowing into the car park attracting unwanted pests and stinks, at least pay your bill to get this removed its like driving into a tip. Hygiene and cleanliness is diving plummeting due to no cleaner. The front door is hanging off and has been for 2 months so your belongings are not safe. Joel apparent owner ( never to be seen) should not be managing a gym, clearly corrupt and hides behind weak management never known such an Inadequate incompetent Gym owner. This Gym is not fit for purpose @anytimefitness this club is tarnishing your reputation, I would get involved quickly. What a poorly managed Gym unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend this gym now to anyone.
Negative experience: The unprofessional behaviour shown by the owner Joel and his senior team, Shelley and Jaycee is disgraceful. Not paying staff for the work and time they have put in, ignoring all communications in attempt to rightfully attain wages. Instead happy for yet another individual to go to court over wages. This was the reason bailiffs were sent to site previously. This would Also be about the 6/7th case brought about them. To make it worse nothing is done on site to support and fix the site. The door has been broken for over a month and is a security and safety risk to members as any one can just walk in. Bills are not paid so rubbish accumulates, phones often do not work due to unpaid bills etc. no real value is put to the site considering it now has even more competition and dwindling members numbers.
Negative experience: NEVER WORK FOR THIS GYM WHILST JD FITNESS GROUP ARE IN CHARGE. I managed this club for as little as 1 month before I realised how much of a mistake getting involved with this franchise was. They shut down two gyms in the first 2 weeks I was ‘employed’, bailiffs turned up to cease things from the gym which later got denied by JD which was an insult to my assistant who had to tell the members to leave. I bought things for the club that I was told would be reimbursed, never happened. I never got paid for work I did there, they owe me a months salary, pension contribution, stat sick pay and expenses. They also had the audacity to tell people I was ‘let go’, which is incorrect and I have evidence of my resignation email. I am writing this to protect those looking to progress in the fitness industry and people looking to get involved with this franchise. Don’t do it. I am not the first to be screwed over, it’s happened to many others and we’re not standing for it. Looking forward to getting my money through the courts eventually. DON’T GET INVOLVED HERE. Massive shame because the gym itself has a lot of potential.

Fantastic experience: Being an Anytime Fitness member is really helpful when you’re away from home but still need access to a gym. I’m currently staying in Farnham and was thrilled to discover an Anytime Fitness just down the road from me. It can take some time to get used to a new environment but the team (✨Andrea✨and ⭐️Spencer⭐️) made me feel at home immediately. The gym is spread over 3 levels, it’s well spaced and they have some lovely kit. Thanks Anytime Fitness Farnham, I’m delighted you’re here!
Fantastic experience: I recently used anytime fitness Farnham for 10 days due to my gym being closed for refurbishment. Had a very pleasant time and was made very welcome by the lovely staff Harry and Sarah. The club was very clean and tidy and will be returning to say hello regularly

Positive experience: I’m not yet a member but went into Farnham branch to check out facilities. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Discussed what equipment would be helpful for my needs. Good range of equipment and all areas were clean. Will be looking to join in the near future.
Fantastic experience: Most of the bad reviews seem to be from people who didn't input their car reg & got a fine, or complaints about cleanliness which from my experience seems to be fixed, possibly down to the new management and staff, who all seem v friendly and helpful.

Negative experience: Just a heads up to any perspective members. You sign up for 12 months and after that if you want to cancel you can’t just cancel your Direct Debit as they’ll send Argentum Capital Partners debt collection agency after you. Very severe letters too, even if it was back in 2019 and it’s now 2024. Current business must be on the wane!
Negative experience: I am no longer a member at this gym. I went here for around 2 years and it was ok at first but changed ownership and was then very quickly poor. Different staff every couple of weeks (presumably they were leaving due to poor working conditions). People doing drugs on the premises. The place was barely cleaned and the toilets always in a dreadful state. On top of this, countless members have been the victim of this awful smart parking ANPR camera. Every time you enter the gym you have to enter your reg, and thats only if you remember. Otherwise you’ll have letter after letter. Absolutely dreadful place. I never leave reviews of companys unless they are good, but this place is an exception.

Negative experience: This place is a disaster, low class with godawful music blaring even at 4am. Could be a really good gym but staff are clueless and un-accommodating. Such a shame could be a decent place to workout. Parking is also a disaster.
Negative experience: Avoid using this gym at all costs. They hire a sleazy parking company to fine Actual gym members from out of town who only see “gym members only” on the signage and not the scammy small print about entering your reg at tablet. When I called the gym, the person was disgusting and rude and mocked me for not seeing or reading more signage within the gym, instead of trying to find the changing rooms in a new gym. The appeal was accepted by the court but should have never of happened!

Positive experience: The Farnham Gym has had issues around cleanliness, increasing monthly fee without correspondence and parking fines. I attend the gym on a regular basis and can say that all of the above have now been resolved. I see a cleaner is onsite every morning and informed a membership parking linked database via car registration introduced to be transitioned from tablet entry requirement, advise still to use tablet until announced no longer required or ask onsite Manager. Sam who is the onsite Manager has been very helpful and professional whilst these problems were being addressed.

Negative experience: awful. kept saying payments were late and trying to get money off me. They threatened me with ccs even though I complained to workers and they never did anything.
Negative experience: Upon walking into the gym, I had immediate concerns about the cleanliness and lack of staff. First of all, I would like to complain about the hygiene of some members in this gym. On some days, there is a lingering and musty smell of body odour coming from a group of three deliquent's. This is extremely disgusting and ruins the user experience while working out. I would like to propose a mandotory (and potentially complementary) deodorant rule. Second of all, I would like to file a complaint about a middle-aged Asian male using the leg equipment without socks or shoes, therefore spreading bacteria over all these heavily used machines, and he also did not care to disinfect these machines after use. Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read this. Hopefully, these issues can be resolved with urgency.
Positive experience: Jason and Luke have turned this gym around. With the help of Jody, it is now clean, tidy, ordered and motivating. The journey they have had to travel to bring it up from frankly a diabolical state is nothing less than fantastic. They are always looking at ways to make it more appealing and more inviting. The kit is looking tired in places which is why it’s not a 5 star but, unlike previous managers, when things are reported they actually do something about it. Clearly these chaps actually care about the members and want this gym to succeed. Well done. And thanks!

Negative experience: This is possibly the worst gym and customer experience I have ever encountered. I’ve been a member on and off for years using the Farnham gym and various around the country, having recently moved back to Farnham I went and used the gym twice unaware of the new parking policy and having received no comms of the change. I have been sent fines for both occasions even though I am a paying member of the gym. I got hold of staff who were no help at all and didn’t seem bothered that their paying customers were being charged hundreds of pounds to park and use the gym because they forgot or didn’t realise they needed to input reg into the tablet?!? I’m now disputing the fines through POPLA but am now being bullied by a debt recovery company who keep pushing up what I owe. Honestly, anyone thinking about it do not join this gym, seriously gone down hill, the owner/manager/staff need to have a think on their business practice, the worst I have ever seen. I will be leaving the minute my contact ends.
Fantastic experience: I saw previous reviews and was a little hesitant in giving this gym a go but just got home from there and can say I had a great first day / session here with the help of the assistant manager Luke. Very welcoming. Was happy to show me around. Good equipment, tidy and parking was easy. Thanks again Luke!
Negative experience: AVOID AT ALL COSTS !!!! The gym have installed a new parking system that doesn’t work as many others have had the same issue. I received a parking fine, when speaking to the manger I was told this would be sorted. Last week (2 months later) I received a letter from debt collectors saying my fine has gone up from £60 to £170. I got in contact with the manager (Jason) who was absolutely useless and told me that I have to pay it. Worst of all the gym is in a terrible condition, it’s not kept in a hygienic state and half the machines are broken.
Negative experience: User can NOT cancel the menbership when they want do it.
Fantastic experience: Only couple months ago I considered to give my notice to Anytime Fitness in Farnham. Gym was dirty, equipment broken, car park was a nightmare. However recently they hired new manager Jason. I have to say the whole place massively improved. It’s clean, tidy, my carpark tickets are sorted, atmosphere in the gym is much better. Well done!
Positive experience: I have been going to this gym for over 5 years. In the last year or so it did go downhill as many of the members will know, mostly due to poor staffing. However, they have now employed a new manager who is very much more helpful, and the gym is staffed at times when it should be. The standard of cleanliness has improved dramatically in the past couple of weeks, and I have also noticed that equipment is put back and it seems the changes we have all wanted for months are being made. If you'd asked me a month ago, I'd have said avoid at all costs, but the improvements in the past couple of weeks are so promising and I'm excited to see the place get back to how it used to be :)
Positive experience: I have been coming to this location since Feb. of this year. As many other reviews have mentioned, the gym seemed to be going through a bad patch the past few months in regards to staffing and regular cleaning. Fortunately big changes have been made over the past month and the gym is significantly improved already. Every time I go in I notice small improvements that are making all the difference. It’s a great facility that has a nice personal feel and doesn’t get overly busy (which I love). I feel optimistic about the direction this location is moving in and I’m relieved to see it, as this is my local gym.
Positive experience: I have been a member for over 2 years now and in that time staff have been and gone. The gym now has new staff (Jason and Jodi) that have been great which has aided my decision to stay and continue to use the facility. The gym was not in a good position at the time that they took over in BUT they are doing their upmost to make the gym an accommodating environment to workout. The new Staff are friendly and genuinely helpful. All areas of the gym are now cleaned throughly and tidied by the staff throughout the day. Prior to the cleaning staff coming in I was unlikely to use the showers but that has now changed as they are cleaner now than they have been since I joined. All in all, the gym has undergone a major turnaround and this is a credit to the staff for doing all that they do. In the wake of the mess that was left for them, Jason and Jodi have done so much to improve the overall experience of the gym and deserve a huge amount of praise!
Negative experience: DO NOT SIGN UP HERE!!! Zero level of customer service, parking system sends you tickets even if you sign in and you’ll be chased to court. Wish I never signed up here, do not make the same mistake
Negative experience: DO NOT SIGN UP HERE Been a member here for around 3 or 4 years and not had an issue until this year, now cancelled as recently it has gone downhill, it’s really unclean and majority of the machines are always in bad condition or broken. They also have a new parking system now but the registration machine dosent seem to be working properly as I have been sent £150 worth of parking fines - when I tried to get in touch with staff for help, no one ever answers the phone or ever actually in the gym despite it being staffed hours, really odd - was then stuck with no help and had to pay these After reading other reviews, I can see I’m also going to have problems with them still taking money out of my account after I have cancelled so looking forward to that Take my advice - DO NOT JOIN HERE I’ve just signed up to unit 24 in aldershot for half the price of anytime and a much better gym
Negative experience: They installed new parking cameras, the registration machine of which for parking is never working properly. Ended up with 500£ worth of parking tickets that I had no choice but to pay. I informed the manager on the situation and he assured me that tickets were cleared . Turns out they wernt and are now with debt collectors due to his incompetence. Now I'm getting ignored from the manager or any anytime staff for my problem
Negative experience: My husband was offered a two month free trial (that now we have been told doesn’t exist!) and can cancel anytime. Hassled on phone by Leyton so he went in offered this free trail so he thought why not. He can’t continue using gym now for other reason so thought no loss will just cancel. Yep, good luck with that!!! He basically lied to my husband and there are no free trails and he signed a 12 month contract! Absolute scam!!! Will be going to ombudsman if they don’t honor his cancellation. Shocking service and rude reply’s via email
Negative experience: It's terrible customer service, I feel like it's a scam. They just let you sign up saying they have got offer for a month free and never explain about the contract. Even after cancelling the membership you still have to pay for months even if you don't go. It's horrible.
Negative experience: Poor attitude from staff with issues making partner who is still waiting refund. Forcing them to come to the gym on several times stating a manager needing to be there but not being there. Even times when staffed prior there was no staff seen sometimes in store. Defensive responses to feedback to reasons for leaving and no real acceptance of reasons even to the point of discrediting staff from prior conversations whilst trying to get a refund. Be wary if setting a contract, Would advise joining another gym.

Negative experience: Been a member for 5 years but just cancelled. Hygiene/ general condition of this gym has gone down significantly and is now in a shocking state. Current staff member that I dealt with (Leyton) has no idea of how to speak to customers on the phone, extremely rude, arrogant and condescending. Gym is very badly run. They’ve just taken my money and not let me use the gym for the rest of the month. Extremely overpriced for what it is, should be half the price for what you get. Don’t bother joining this gym!
Negative experience: Staff really lovely. Gym itself is not worth the money. Its extremely unclean and would definitely not meet health and safety standards if checked (which it definitely hasn't been). The Gym offers no classes despite promising they would start when I asked about this before signing up. No perks for the price it's at. Would definitely recommend the Farnham leisure centre across the road which offers 10x more, including racket sports, Gym, swimming and classes for less money.
Negative experience: STAY AWAY, they try to rob you You can't cancel your membership, they won't respond to emails or calls, and will threaten you with debt collectors. I tried to cancel my membership for months and had no reply. All the time I was racking up late fees. After almost 3 months, I was told finally that my membership would be cancelled. But a month later, today I received word that I may have to deal with debt collectors because they didnt cancel it, they lied. update: total management overhaul, and the new guys seem good. still wary.
Negative experience: I do not recommend. Not easy to leave once you join. I was messed around by staff even after finishing my contract. Don’t let them “get back to you” because they never do. Also I experienced problems with my direct debit and had to pay a late fee every month and basically got told there was nothing they could do for me. And when you try and leave you need to “request cancellation” which they conveniently take so long to get back to you. I was also told to pay for one extra month due to their cancellation terms and conditions but after doing so, received an email saying “thanks for reactivating your membership”. Just a constant goose chase as they’re impossible to get hold of unless you go to the front desk. So unhelpful and when struggling for money it’s not fun experience.
Negative experience: AVOID AT ALL COSTS. A COMPLETE DIVE AND A SCAM. Joke of a company. Took extra money from my account without authorisation. Can’t get through to anyone and no response, but quick enough to get aggressive when the shoe is on the other foot. Recent reviews from others says it all. Do not join this place unless you want to be ripped off and don’t mind working out in complete squalor. I have been a member of Anytime Fitness for many years and have noticed the decline in maintenance and cleanliness at the Farnham club. Please see attached pictures for more detail. 1 . The gym floor and bathroom facilities are filthy. It's clear that there hasn't been a cleaner for some time or a cleaning regime. The floors and toilets around the gym are dirty, with mud, hair and skin visible on a majority of contact surfaces, including the floor mats on the top floor. There is also historical stained urine on the toilet floors and around the basins, and the benches, walls and sinks are dirty. Again, there is a consistent lack of cleaning in these areas and they have stayed the same on multiple visits to the gym. The antibacterial dispensers are also broken with some completely missing from the wall, making it difficult to clean the equipment down after use. There is also a lack of antibacterial wipes, they're usually missing from the dispensers entirely or the dispensers are simply missing from the wall. 2. The electrical equipment around the gym hasn't been PAT tested since 2021, which is a huge health and safety risk and a breach of non compliance for several safety standards. This includes the Electricity at Work regulations (1989), Health and Safety at Work act (1974) and the Management of Health and Safety at Work regulations (1999). This is a serious matter which is posing a health risk to the hundreds of members attending the club. 3. The equipment and decor looks tired, and there has been no communication with the club's members to address this. As mentioned above, there has been a noticeable decline in the clubs standards, and there is clearly a lack of direction and training for the staff currently employed at the club, particularly for an environment where contact surfaces is a constant and Covid is very much still a concern. After many years of supporting the club, Anytime Fitness is failing to keep the members and myself safe and I will therefore be cancelling my membership with immediate effect and will no longer attend the club.
Positive experience: Friendly staff, decent equipment. But the music upstairs is horrendously loud quite often and that ruins it for me sadly.
Negative experience: Customer Service Terrible, Impossible to try to make any changes to membership, sometimes logging in is impossible as site not working, and impossible to get a hold of them over the phone, my 12 membership is still being paid after 13 months and despite moving to a new town and therefore not being able to attend, even if i wanted to cancel it before my 12 months were up it was an impossible task, not hard to assume this is deliberate to get more money out of me. Awful

Negative experience: Do not come here if you want to be robbed of your money. The gym itself is okay and the staff in the gym are friendly, but the management is horrific! If you try and cancel your membership prepare for it to be virtually impossible. Firstly you have to wait 12 months until you are out fo your contract, then even then they still will try everything to make you stay. Was charged 3 months worth whilst at university 200 miles away, even though my account was frozen - it was unfrozen with no email/call/text to say this - i was being charged against my knowledge. Then when eventually trying to leave - being charged a whole month in advance when you try and cancel even if you give plenty of notice as this is the 'policy'.
Negative experience: Worst Gym I've been to. Plus, cancelling your membership is virtually impossible and they will take as much money as they can from you in the process.

Negative experience: Worst gym i have ever signed up for and by far the worst customer service i’ve ever experienced. This business has extremely shady practices, they overcharged me on my subscription and would mislead and stall me to get more money out of me. I read the reviews about this business on trust pilot recently and saw that it’s happened to MANY other customers before and it’s still happening to this day. Being a customer at this gym is more like being a victim. I would describe this gym is literally like north korea as a gym because you’re not even allowed to leave. They stalled me out for a few months while withdrawing even more money than before out of my account and taking ages to reply to my inquiries so that they can keep taking my money?? And they legit THREATEN YOU WITH DEBT COLLECTERS if you don’t let them Like what is this. Also in the times the finally reply to my emails there’s spelling errors and bad grammar. I first wanted to cancel my membership a few weeks after joining because some of the equipment was grimey and didn’t even seem like it was getting thoroughly cleaned which is gross especially when there’s a pandemic going on? I also noticed that the literal staff that was on shift working would be using the equipment and working out? That’s like the equivalent of going to a restaurant and the workers are just stuffing their face and not even actively helping or doing their job. They also don’t really have a good selection of equipment compared to other gyms i’ve been with prior to moving here. Another male worker there also improperly showed me how to use the equipment and i ended up almost injuring myself. The last straw for me is when i saw that the bathroom there had stains that literally looked like semen near the sink and it was there the next time i came back too. This gym is a nightmare and doesn’t even have an adequate amount of equipment. A lot of times a group of men would be hogging the same few equipments because there was only 1 of each, so if you’re planning to make the gym a quick run this gym isn’t it because you’ll be waiting for equipment a lot. When i went with my friend who signed up around the same time as me, she also felt uncomfortable by one of the male workers who kept staring at us whenever we were there. Sometimes we’d move equipment just so get out of his line of sight. I haven’t went back to this gym for a while now and have been going to another one nearby instead and it’s much cleaner, has a lot more equipment, the staff and customer service actually cares, better ventilation, aren’t shady scammers, and practice decent business ethics. 10/10 traumatized from this gym and surprised this location is still in business. Fantastic experience: Great place! Went along to just have a look, a lil worried it would be full of young muscley people in vests getting frustrated at a newbie taking up space but couldn't have been more wrong. I'm still relatively new but the staff are fab, the facilities are great and everyone's been nothing but welcoming to me. Even when I've had to be flakey and reschedule with Andy because of.....well, kids! Pretty sure this is the place to whip my office working mum butt into shape!! Even if it does feel brutal!

Negative experience: My son joined the Farnham branch before lockdown and has been trying to cancel his membership after the 12 months deadline - many months ago- but they are still taking money out of his account as soon as they can. He has since moved away to uni so will obviously not be using the gym which he has not used since lockdown. On closer inspection of the contract he signed with them we noticed that they signed him up before his 18th birthday without parental autorisation which is compulsory for minors. He pointed that out to them, got no reply. The fact that they were not allowed to sign him up in the first place without our agreement should have voided the contract. Why are they still taking his money? I thought his was a single case but just read the reviews and realise that this company is incredibly dishonest and preying on students and other people who can't afford to fight them. Shameful!!

Negative experience: Notice was given via email that we wished to cancel the contract few months before the contract end date. When last payment was made we cancelled the direct debit, but was then contacted by the gym to say that there was another payment as we were put on a “rolling monthly contact” due to not giving “30-day notice to cancel” this made no sense, as notice was given several months prior stating we want to cancel the current contract we are on… Even after showing proof, we were met with the same copy and paste emails with no actual communication and they still wanted a payment. Clearly this is an admin error from them for not updating the system from when we gave notice to cancel. Seem to completely ignore what you are saying just want to squeeze as much money as possible from you was a very painful experience trying to get any information across and I’ve seen on other reviews I am not the only one who has experienced this issue. Would recommended avoiding and joining a PureGym or The Gym. Way more flexible with actual customer service.

Negative experience: As previously stated in another review 'this gym is very unethical and have no consideration for their members they are purely focused on the money, so many better gyms. Do not make the mistake of joining this gym and being stuck in their contract.' - I joined up for a 6 month contract pre-covid, situation changed drastically for me and meant I could no longer use the facilities. I gave 5 months notice to cancel my membership and was left with little/no communication. After I made my final payment, I was told I was now on a rolling contract and was required to make another payment even though even though I had explicitly said numerous times that I wanted to cancel when my membership was up. Please listen to previous reviews about their customer service, the general manager is completely unprofessional. Instead of having a conversation he just revises the contract to me. I will never recommend this gym to anyone, unless you want to loss a lot of money. *Update: Situation has now been resolved by the operations director. Sad it wasn't dealt with sooner and disappointed that I had to leave a review to get a response.

Fantastic experience: All of the staff are amazing! Very welcoming. There is a wide range of machines to use, it’s always kept immaculate. I Would highly recommend this gym to anyone thinking of joining. I’ve never been a gym person until I starting using this one. It’s changed my life it’s something I now couldn’t live without !

Negative experience: The gym itself is well equipped although it is a bit small and parking allocation is quickly used up. You can put up with that though. It’s the lack of care and consideration for members, patronising communication and inability to listen from management (Andy) and tacit threats when you try to leave that upset me. My direct debit was frozen whilst I was overseas (at a cost of £5 a month which in itself is insulting) i then cancelled it during lockdown when I returned to the UK as all gym memberships were frozen anyway. My DD was automatically reinstated at full price after lock down with no communication from the manager or anybody else at all. Not even an explanation about what they’d done to make it safe to come back and what the new protocols were. Not even any notice that they were open again! They just took the money. When I asked them why they’d reinstated the full DD I just got a load of bull from the manager about data protection meaning they couldn’t email me etc. No apology, no explanation, no empathy that they’d taken money without my consent and broken the debit agreement. I was then told I was due another 12 months in my contract and no amount of painstaking explanation to Andy the manager seemed to make him realise they’d not included the first 6 months served. They threaten you with CCJ’s and they don’t want to listen. Management are only interested in spending their time on pushy aggressive sales pitches to make their money on personal training. They are not interested in resolving your ligitimate problems. Customer service is not their thing. I would suggest spending a similar amount of money for a membership at Nuffield up the road- who’s customer service is excellent and they have a pool.
Negative experience: Extremely unhelpful during difficult period. When signing up everything was great and very accommodating, then when they have effectively stolen a months membership with no compensation they offer no resolution. Very poor treatment of members during a difficult period. I would avoid signing up during the COVID period as you may lose your money with no access to a gym like myself as they have no concern about breaking their own contract conditions. Edit: Just as an update and context to the response for all reading, when I joined I explained I only needed a membership to the end of November as was moving 300 miles away at the end of Nov. Their offer of resolution was to extend my membership to december, completely pointless given I will not be here and I made them aware that there was no branch near my new location when I joined! So no actual serious resolution has been offered. If you do decide to join then make sure you have something in writing protecting you if there is another lockdown.
We are sorry to read this, George. At the club we always put customer service as priority number 1. This can been seen in our multiple reviews online along with member feedback which helped the club win Ukactive Club Of The Year - South Region 2019. Sadly COVID has been a tough time for all and has led to many situations that have never been encountered before. Throughout lockdown 1 we froze all member accounts free of charge or in the instance of the November lockdown, gave December as free access. Negative experience: Awful service!! I lost my job just before lockdown. They agreed to terminate my contract if I could provide proof - of which I did. They then stalled it until they froze everyone's membership because of lockdown. Since then they have continued to bill me 3 times and refuse to refund me. Disgusted at how a company like this can take advantage of people in these times. I do not recommend them to anyone.

Negative experience: Not professional in any way, calling up multiple 16 year old and forcing them to pay an extra 9 months of the contract but not giving them access to use the gym, then threatening them with debt collectors if they did not pay. Do not trust the reviews for the gym as they give you protein bars and protein shakes if you leave a positive review. So they are not accurate in any way. I would recommend pure gym as a better alternative as it is less than half the price and facilities are way better. They also are not going to threaten you with debt collectors if you do not pay. This gym is very unethical and have no consideration for their members they are purely focussed on the money, so many better gyms. Do not make the mistake of joining this gym and being stuck in their contract.

Fantastic experience: I have only been a member for a couple of months but I have enjoyed every moment. The staff are so friendly and helpful, and are always up for a chat and seem to know everyone personally. The equipment is good quality and always clean and there is enough for everyone to use. The gym itself is always clean, neat and tidy and even when busy there is still room for social distancing. Signing up was such an easy process and the staff were able to answer any question I had, I would recommend Anytime Fitness Farnham to anyone!

Negative experience: They continued to charge me after having cancelling my membership with them. I only found out when they texted me saying a late fee would be applied if I didn't pay within 4 days. They also restarted my direct debit without my permission.

Negative experience: If you are a student i cannot stress this enough when I say do not please do not go for this gym you cannot leave it I was made unemployed after lockdown and moved to a different university and I cant leave my membership im basically paying 12 months for somewhere I can't attend and I cant even resolve it at the anytime near me I have to pay for a ticket and do that 3hr travel back to farnham and 3hrs back just to resolve the situation and its tiny too I said what I said

Membership with Anytime Fitness does give you access to all clubs, UK and worldwide, after being a member for 30 days. This means you are currently able to use your local club rather than travel to Farnham. On this, we can see that you have requested to be transferred to your nearest Anytime Fitness club in August. Positive experience: Good gym and near enough everything I need. Only negative is I work early and finish late so relied on going to gym late at night plus it’s quieter but now they have restricted opening times hard for me to go. Do you know when you are opening 24/7? To be more convenient.

Negative experience: If I could give 0 stars I would. Extremely disappointed with the complete lack of consideration or sympathy, especially in such difficult times. If you sign up, they avoid telling you about the year long contract. Even if you get injured or have to relocate, they won’t cancel your subscription and will avoid your calls & never call you back. The manager - Andy is so unwilling to see anyone else’s point of view. David Lloyd would probably have been cheaper for me in the long run and I definitely would have been treated with more respect
We are sorry for your experience, Lucca. All memberships at the club are 12 month in length with membership contract signed at time of joining to confirm as understood. Within the 12 month term, we have relocation, injury/illness or redundancy as way to cancel early if requirements are met.

Negative experience: If it is imperative that people bring photo ID with full address then why not pre warn them? Otherwise you risk wasting people's time. I ended up going to Farnham sports centre straight after today and found it to be much more accommodating.

Positive experience: The gym is well equipped for weightlifting. Staff are very helpful and friendly as well! However, it would have been great to have a few more bench press machines or squat racks, as they do get quite busy. Parking is very convenient too.

Negative experience: After 3 years of membership(1 year contract then cancel my policy whenever I want) I asked the staff members to cancel my contract from january and they keep charging me months in a row. 3 requests in 3 different months and they keep charging me so in August I had to call the bank to cancel my direct debit. They asked me via mail to pay "my last month", I call them and speak about my request, they apologise for overcharging me, promising me they will update my request and sort the situation. One month later, I received a letter from a debt colector for 44£ otherwise they will come and take my belongings in order to sell them and recover the debt. Awfull service.

Positive experience: This for me is a great gym. Good facilities and equipment. Good staff. Always helpful and considerate. Only down side is the small car park which gets crowded quickly.
Hi Antony, thank you for your review. We have agreed additional parking with nearby local businesses outside their trading hours, which tend to be our busiest times. Please speak to a member of staff who will tell you where the additional parking is available.
Fantastic experience: Always clean and 24hr means you can gym whenever you feel like, don't have to move your schedule to fit in the gym, the gym fits around you. The gym runs lots of classes and even has classes on a video so you don't have to do them in a group. Always a challenge running across the gym with good participation as well. Can be as involved as you want even if that's not at all.

Positive experience: Small gym. Quiet at certain times. Staff are super friendly. Facilities are sometimes poor even during the day. Several times there has been no hand sanitizer or wipes to clean down machines. My biggest gripe is the awful WiFi though. Be prepared to use data if you want to use your mobile whilst working out.
