Our comment from FitFit UK about Basingstoke Aquadrome:
Basingstoke Aquadrome is a family-friendly sporting facility located in Basingstoke, United Kingdom. The center boasts a variety of activities and amenities suitable for children and adults alike. Some of the highlights noted by visitors include:
- Fun for All Ages: The facility is particularly praised for its engaging water slides and lazy river, providing fun experiences for kids of all ages.
- Family-Oriented Environment: Many parents have noted that their children love the different pools available, especially the toddler-friendly areas.
- Good Value for Money: Guests appreciate the affordable pricing for the various activities and facilities available for family outings.
- Friendly Staff: Visitors have consistently highlighted the friendly and helpful demeanor of the staff, enhancing the overall experience.
However, there are areas where the Basingstoke Aquadrome could improve:
- Maintenance and Hygiene: Some guests reported issues with cleanliness, including dirty changing rooms and malfunctioning showers, which have led to concerns about hygiene.
- Short Session Times: Many users feel that the one-hour session limit is too brief for enjoying the facility fully.
- Overcrowding: During peak times, the facility can feel crowded, leading to long waits for attractions like the flumes.
In conclusion, while Basingstoke Aquadrome is recognized for its fun water activities and friendly environment, it does face challenges with maintenance and capacity management that could enhance the experience for visitors. With some improvements, it could easily be rated highly by all who visit.

Basingstoke Aquadrome: Opinions
Positive experience: Took my todler. She loved it. Great place with a lot to do for the little ones....but. only 2 family changing cubicles. Most of the showers didnt work and there was faeces in the baby pool. Reported it to a life guard. They scraped out the big bit but there were obvious flakes around everywhere and i dont think the staff knew what to do so they left it as is. Very un-hygenic and potentially unsafe with such small children in there. Real shame, could easily be a 5 star place with some care and attention
Hi Bradley, Thanks for your review. On the day of your visit there was an issue with the sealant in our baby area. This is currently being resolved by our external contractors. We have a number of family changing rooms throughout our changing village, and our showers are being completely refurbished soon too, so watch this space!
Fantastic experience: Absolutely fantastic, very clean loads to do for all ages best one I've been to to date in Hampshire, couldn't recommend more, I did go during half time so was clearly busy and I don't know if they shut slides down on non peak times
Positive experience: Wednesday afternoon Feb half term. Kids (girls 11 & 13) enjoyed it but we only got 45 mins of action. 1 hour is too short. Parking isn't great unless you know there's a big overflow round the back which isn't sign posted well (reception told us about it). Very friendly staff. Showers not working. Staff said it was an ongoing issue and waiting for parts. No signs or mentions on this at all which for some families was distressing. People shouldn't be walking in not knowing in case of skid conditions etc, especially little ones. Arrive at least 20 mins before. It's very busy in the changing rooms as there's no gap between those getting out and those getting in, so it is the usual stress for families trying to find cubicles. I have suggested on email a 15 min gap between sessions. Gives the staff time to clean up and check everything before the next session starts. Also gives those arriving a chance to get changed ready for their start time (which is why we missed out on our first 15 mins). On the positives, it's got really good flumes and lazy river. Good for an hours entertainment with the family. Will go again when hopefully the showers are fixed.
Positive experience: Good place with lots of facilities but swimming pool showers and toilets are half broken and have been for 3 months so not sure if this is a downward spiral until a new swimming pool is built!
Fantastic experience: Great place. Value for money and great fun for children.
Fantastic experience: Jacob is a star always happy to help with memberships and app issues!
Positive experience: Good family outing, kids loved the flumes just be careful of the green one if your not a great swimmer lol.
Negative experience: No showers working for long time now
Negative experience: Dirty water cold water young kids as lifeguards extremely rude and arrogant. Showers not working changing rooms filthy
Negative experience: Cold water temperature and cold air temperature, not ideal for a pool. The toddler area (the whole reason why we go) is never open and always ‘faulty’ whenever we choose to book. A warmer pool especially for the winter months is much needed
Fantastic experience: Big pool with 3 good slides!
Positive experience: Nice selections of pools to swim in. Not bad value for money. Only downside was the lack of showers at the end of the swim, first come first served. Definitely will be back.
Fantastic experience: Great for smaller kids. Easy parking. Good value
Fantastic experience: Took the extended family today, traveled from Bournemouth. Friendly, welcoming front of house staff. The swim, rapids and slides were most enjoyable.
Fantastic experience: Good place for Kid's enjoyment specially water slides
Fantastic experience: Friendly staff, tidy and cleaner too.
Fantastic experience: I go to the gym here and it is always a good environment
Negative experience: 12 children in a single class My child doesn't get into the pool until 10 minutes into the lesson. Poor value for money. Could be dangerous too.
Fantastic experience: Decent condition, nice little lazy driver and good slides that kept my daughter and me entertained
Fantastic experience: Very fun me and my friends went for 2 hours each very nice people great customer service and the more people the cheaper it gets per person they take safety very seriously and have scary slides, fast slides and nice chill slides yellow slide is nice and chill green slide is fast and very fun blue slide looks nice but is the scariest so unless you’re an a adrenaline junky or like go in forward but then the slide is designed to make you go backwards going up and down
Negative experience: Nothing like a refreshing swim... with a side of athlete's foot! If you're into wading through puddles of whatever's on the bottom of strangers' shoes, this is the pool for you. The ‘no shoes’ sign is more of a suggestion here. Perfect for anyone who’s ever thought, 'You know what this pool needs? More street grime!'
Positive experience: My little one loves it, especially the little toddler pool. There is a small slide in there, water is very shallow. There is a bigger toddler pool for slightly older kids although the 'rain' effect means everyone gets very wet - not great if you don't like getting your face wet. The rapids are also fun with various places of the main river to explore. Again, your face will get wet. It got very busy when I visited (autumn weekend) so be aware of that. The pool is now 25ish years old and could do with a bit of renovating as it is a bit tired in places
Negative experience: Outdated, awful place. You feel miserable as soon as you step in. If you want a ride to the 70s 80s this is the right place 4 u
Fantastic experience: This place is amazing. My children and I had such a wonderful time. Can't wait to go back there soon.
Negative experience: NOT SEN FRIENDLY. omg i can’t stress this enough, but please if you have disabled kids of don’t take them there. Even though I had an access card, we couldn’t skip the queue. The staff was laughing and rude. There were literally worms in the floor on the stairs to flumes. Worst experience ever
Fantastic experience: Amazing place to take your youngster. I've been bringing my little one here since he was a year old. The lazy river is an amazing place to really help your toddler gain confidence in the pool.
Positive experience: Clean and staff are pleasant. The kids (4 Yr olds) love the lagoon pool/lazy river area. We'll definitely be back
Positive experience: Booked at the last minute. Only 1 hour slots which i think its too short. Rather long wait for inflatables so we can use slides. Once on slide it was great. But we managed only 2 in 1 hour! Quite small overall
Negative experience: Lewis, the commercial manager, is a terrible individual to speak to. Rude, no sense of customer service. Aquadrom made a mistake with my cancellation and have now charged me extortionate amount. I was told to cancel my membership by simply cancelling my direct debit, and now they charged me two months of gym membership. I'm sure he's been working there for a long time, and made his way to a managerial position, good on him, but "power" must have gotten to his head. Decent human beings with principles and empathy usually have a good life outside of work, and clearly this individual has that.
Fantastic experience: We went to the gym. A good range of equipment. Friendly staff. A good range of people create a nice atmosphere.
Fantastic experience: Old yes but clean. Very good number of life guards on duty, particularly around kids areas / flumes. Pool very chlorinated (nearly lost a star, goggles recommended for Small children). Wide array of water activities sides/ splash zone / lazy river / hot tub. Recommended.
Fantastic experience: It was really good to take the family there for a swim session, very good on pricing also.
Fantastic experience: Best value for money by a country mile! Friendly staff. Clean pool and facilities. Kids absolutely loved it.
Negative experience: Booked an hour slot and we didn't get an hour. The slides don't have a system people where keeping hold of the rings and then you can't go on ans you can't go on the blue slide without a blue ring which makes no sense as there the same size and just a ring so we couldn't go on the slides as people hogging the rings. At 3.40 they closed the slides ready to close at 4 so we didn't get our hour. Pool is dirty and needs a revamp the whole place is not great
Fantastic experience: Good fun, plenty of parking, pool warm, changing facilities clean, staff polite.
Fantastic experience: Really enjoyed our time here, although short, we did have fun. Decent showers compared to some places.
Fantastic experience: A very reasonably priced afternoon out. Only used lagoon Pool. Changing rooms are clean and checked. Poolside area also clean. Plenty of Lifeguards on duty and friendly as well
Negative experience: When we went me and my family.. there was a pool party going on and that we couldn’t go in Online it said it was opened and we tried calling them to make sure but they wouldn’t answer, we had to drive 40 minute just to find out that we can’t go in - The positives are that the atmosphere on when you go in it smells of Chlorine like straight away when you enter the building not just the swimming area and that the pool is deep enough for swimming (I been there before). I gave it a 2 stars because of that.. but that’s just based on our experience on that specific day it could depend on what day you go and yeah.
Positive experience: I can’t thank the lifeguards enough I sprained my shoulder on the green slide, life guards helped and advised I go to hospital which I did. Have gotten ill though so unsure if from here or somewhere else
Positive experience: Staff very friendly and changing areas are clean but place is starting to look a little bit worn around the edges Half of the showers don't seem to work and those that do look in need of a good de-coking
Positive experience: Dirty change rooms , lockers don’t work , checked 10 of them before I found one that worked and lost a quid in one of the faulty ones , all eats into your 1 hour family slot . Half the showers don’t work . Needs improving . That all said the actual pools and water slides were good fun and the kids loved it . The water was a good temperature fairly warm for the kids . Parking was difficult as since the rain of this summer everyone else thought to use the pool . It was very reasonable pricing for the various slides and lazy river for my family . When you compare to Coral reef in Bracknell it’s around half that price for similar slides . A few adjustments and improvements on cleanliness and working lockers and showers and this could get a four or 5 star rating .
Negative experience: Overcrowded and a male in the infants pool with an iPhone.. I raised the issue of the male sat in the infants section of the pool with a life guard and was told oh we get it all the time.. I explained how inappropriate it was and still nothing was done. We won’t be returning with our son.
Positive experience: I was occasionally visiting the gym to use the Boditrax, as the scale downstairs was inaccurate. Customer service kindly redirected me to the device upstairs, and I appreciate Craig for showing me how to use it. However, I was informed that I couldn't use the Boditrax because I wasn't insured to access the gym. Despite having a thorough discussion same day with the gym manager and being promised a follow-up call from the leisure manager, I never received one. I was asked to become a full member around £33 a month. After researching other gym facilities, I found that the Basingstoke Sports Centre offers a similar device for around £12. Additionally, I discovered that by becoming a member of the Aquadrome, I could pay-as-you-go for £10. I chose this membership option and have been using the Boditrax satisfactorily ever since. Glad we found a way that support both outcomes satisfactorily.
Positive experience: Was OK an hour is all you need very reasonable the chutes are great fun. Parking however was an absolute nightmare.
Fantastic experience: H Jr. Favourite Place. Staff, Service and Atmosphere is 100%. Great Value for £
Fantastic experience: Pretty good swimming pool and slides. Does need a little bit of an update and the pool can look a bit scummy with marks on the edge of the tiles. But does not put us off. Really good price for a family and clean changing room facility.
Negative experience: We book to take the Grandchildren swimming. The toilet’s are disgustingly. There are 6 Ladies Toilets pool side. 5 of them were completely blocked and the only one that we could use the floor was disgusting. We had the 12:00 slot booked This could not have happened that morning Something needs to happen to clean this up. Unfortunately we will not be returning and I have also spoken to friends that will also not be returning. The floors pool side were dirty It’s such a shame as the Grandchildren really love going. Hopefully it’s sorted soon for all the Families that enjoy going
Positive experience: It's great fun, just feel like 1hour slots are too short. Changing rooms aren't the most clean and tidy. The pool and slides are super fun though and you'll enjoy the short time there. You have a "vanity" room with hair dryers to use. Lockers need a £1 coin to use, which you get back at the end.
Positive experience: Travelled 2 hours as pools with slides are few and far between. Lots of parking. We pre booked our swimming spaces as it's half term. 3 of us swam and 2 wanted to spectate but not really anywhere for this(a few benches here and there). So we grabbed a hot chocolate which was yummy and sat in car. 3 who did swim said it was really good and loved the slides and rapids/lazy river. All was clean with lots of changing rooms and lockers.
Negative experience: Run down, grubby, mouldy. Way too few showers, people were queuing very cold to rinse off after getting out the pool. Website says rapids - there are no rapids, only a lazy river. The website really should be updated. Disappointed, won't return
Fantastic experience: Visited for the first time with 2 swim mad tweens. They loved the slides and rapids (lazy river) very clean and looked after. Reasonable price too will visit again.
Negative experience: A truly fantastic pool facility let down by really poor hygene. Needs a deep clean. Tide marks around the tiles at the poolside. Water that's thick with floating particles and some larger floaters, for example bandaids . Changing room floors were kept clean, which i really appreciated. Not enough showers though. Not enough rings for the flumes. 5 stars when it's had a propper clean and they add a couple more showers.
Positive experience: It was not too expensive. However, all slides are too big for small children to experience. So, really, just the rapids/pool part for smaller children.
Positive experience: Lovely place my children love going here, and it's super fun, and not too expensive. My only bug bare is there isn't enough family changing rooms, (the bigger ones) to my knowledge there's only two, it's just not enough, considering it's a family place to go.
Negative experience: Tried to contact the team for a month to book a bday party for my daughter. After a month of struggle calling them most week someone picked up the phone took the message and said that will call us or enquire through website. I did enquire through website no reply . Hardly people pick up the call, When went in-person they said as it was a weekend they don’t help . Basically no help, poor customer service.
Negative experience: This is THE most disgusting pool me and my girls have ever been to. It is filthy! The floors in the changing rooms are disgusting and litter in the cubicles. The pools were vile! Slimey and filthy! I felt disgusted going round with my children and won’t be going back!!
Negative experience: I had the unfortunate experience of visiting Basingstoke Aquadrome and I must say, it was absolutely appalling. The facility was filthy, cold, and overall just disgusting. The flumes were incredibly slow, to the point where I only managed to go on 2 out of the 3 available The floors were covered in sock fluff and the walls and edges of the pool were coated in a yellow slimy scum. It was truly revolting. There were not enough changing cubicles, which made getting dressed a nightmare. The toilets were absolutely vile, I wouldn't wish their cleanliness on my worst enemy Overall, my visit to Basingstoke Aquadrome was a stressful and unpleasant experience. I fully expect to become ill over the next 12 hours due to the unsanitary conditions of the facility. Avoid this place at all costs if you value your health and well-being.
Negative experience: My daughter has a swimming lesson with them, and if you miss the payment date, they charge you £10 extra. And to get a certificate is £4.
Fantastic experience: Been here twice and on the 2nd time all areas and slides were open. We tried all the slides and had lots of fun going around the lazy river. Kids had a brilliant time. Excellent price for a family of 4.
Negative experience: This pool used to be fantastic. On our visit the pool and slides themselves were great, but it was exceptionally dirty. The pool walls and floor are orange and slimy, there were hairs, plasters, and debris everywhere. The changing rooms weren’t much better. I understand it must be hard to keep clean, but much of this has built up over time and not been addressed. Cleanliness should be their top priority. A deep clean is long, long overdue. Whilst impossible to confirm the cause, we weren’t surprised when our kids got stomach bugs the next day. I wouldn’t recommend it until they’ve given it a thorough clean and reinvested some profits into basic hygiene.
Positive experience: Staff are the best, but the age of the place tends to make it somewhat Shabby with some of the equipment old and out of date. The staff are brilliant, even though the place could do with being knocked down l expect that the multi million pound company that manages it will try to squeeze a few more years out of it, whilst Hampshire County Council will prefer to spread the cash upon yet another luxury update of their own headquarters in Winchester..
Positive experience: All fine here. It's showing its age but it's well maintained and clean. The kids love it.
Negative experience: Took the kids for an afternoon of fun when we first arrived the leasure pool was not open as we were up here on holiday and the schools were not on holiday so were told it would open at 4 which was understandable so we went to kill some time went back at 4 to be told they were not opening the flumes it was only the pool and waves which was the only reason we travelled to the pool from tain ware we were staying they could have told us that when we first arrived we would not have stayed but no reduction in the price considering we were not getting use of all the facilities two very disappointed children
Negative experience: The pool is cold. Short staffed so couldn't open a section of the pool and slides. Rude staff on the slide without measuring said my child was too short. When measured was well over the minimum height. Staff sat around thinking they own the place, very unprofessional. The lights don't work with one light continuously flashing over the pool. This has been over a few months anyways the same.
Positive experience: Kids aged between 5-12 had a great time. Reasonably priced and very short queues for the slides so they had plenty of goes and the smaller ones enjoyed the lazy river and underwater zone. The toilets next to the pool smelt awful so would advise using the ones by reception if possible.
Fantastic experience: I joined the gym five months ago and I am seeing positive results. Still plenty of room for improvement. Excellent gym.
Fantastic experience: This place puts the amazing in Amazingstoke Fantastic fun for our family (with a 5yo). She totally adored it and it wasn't too busy. Cleanliness was great and everything worked well for us. The parking at the front was busy, but head around to the back carpark and its easy parking with a short walk down some steps.
Fantastic experience: Swimming pool hire party! ♂️ great value for our money. Honestly, as a parent this was the most smooth sailing party we have ever held, and between us we have 6 kids. Ages ranging from 6-14, so we have hosted lots of parties! As for the kids, they had a wail of a time. Best party ever was heard over and over again! Your staff were amazing, friendly, engaging, and helpful. From our first enquiry right through to the cake cutting, it has been easy, seamless, fun and was not stressful at all!
Negative experience: Good fun for the kids. Would be nice if they invested some money into it it's been the same since 17 years ago maybe more. Lights broken and flickering, changing rooms locks broken dirty. Just needs some small bits!!
Fantastic experience: Loverly temperature in the lagoon part I took my 3 month old and he wasn't cold loverly guys who work there they seen me coming round and held one of the sprays as he knew my son didn't like that one
Fantastic experience: Great place to go on a last minute trip out. Facilities are good and staff are friendly would have expected more of a fresh look with the amount of construction work going on over the years but still value for money.
Positive experience: Not a bad swimming pool, good for kids, lots of free parking and easy to get to. It is starting to look dated with more than a few areas in need of refurbishment
Positive experience: Really in need of a deep clean and upgrade. Staff are great and the slides were fun. It is always looking dirty on the floor and people are aloud to sit pool side with shoes on without covers so the floor is really dirty
Fantastic experience: Brilliant, classes and instructors excellent with good range of classes. Pool is as clean as any other public used pool, and the water is a good temperature. Staff friendly and are always willing to help - in my opinion it far outstrips other far more expensive Sports Clubs, which I have been a member of. Highly recommend .
Positive experience: The pool has two toddler areas, lagoon/rapids, 3 flumes, a family pool and a 25m lane pool. Under 6s are free. Annoying that it's limited to 1 hour.
Positive experience: I started going here to the gym in the morning and I really enjoy the possibility of doing different things from gym, to swimming and spa. I have also regularly brought the kids to the family pool. The only thing I really dislike is the later you go there more dirty the changing area. Especially if the pool. Could be cleaned more regularly.
Positive experience: Our first visit here with our 4 and 2 year old grandsons. They really loved it and looking forward to going again. We did find the showers a bit hot but other than that a very good experience
Positive experience: It’s actually alright. I been yesterday with my toddler. It’s obviously a bit dated and would require some maintenance. However it didn’t stop us having fun. And they don’t really quick you out after the 1h. The pools for toddlers and the lazy river were warm . The middle size pool was a bit more cold but it was actually nice.
Positive experience: Came here for a birthday party, first time here loads of parking, reception and cafe staff are helpful. Changing rooms and shower area is so dirty everywhere you look there's dirty wet nappies, hair, wet tissues and all sorts of rubbish you can't walk without wearing slippers. It's disgusting to see, I don't understand why people can't throw there rubbish in bin. But cleaners need to be employed to keep that area clean. For that reason alone don't think I will visit again
Fantastic experience: Very nice swimming pools 20 m, 25m and luxury slides for kids of all ages. Good customer services, Very clean and lots of fan,.
Negative experience: Visited for a session at the lagoon pool. Had lots of fun but terribly run. No easy way to manage hour long sessions as it's all open, complete free for all which resulted in it being incredibly busy and over crowded. Everything was filthy, toilets were vile abs made us gag they smelt so bad. Out of the 3 slides, 2 had floats mandated but no direction on which were for which so saw multiple people waiting in queues for 20 minutes to be turned away as they had the wrong sized floats. Half the floats were deflated.
Negative experience: Despite claims on their website, on the last two visits, the baby pool (under sea pool) has been closed with no explanation and no warning. Very disappointing and confusing to toddlers. The staff can’t even be bothered to put up a little sign explaining why!? Utterly pathetic management at this place. The dirty toilets and changing cubicles also resemble a pig sty. Never seems to be anyone cleaning or sweeping.
Fantastic experience: My 8 year old daughter and I came here. Great time! Ample space to get ready, good parking, so fun on the slides and lagoon! Only tip: remember to bring a £1 for the locker
Fantastic experience: It's a great leisure pool to take kids to with three flumes and lazy river rapids. My son loved all of it especially the tipping buckets. There's also a small toddler baby pool with various interactive squirty jets etc...
Positive experience: Went to the Lagoon Pool, good for the price, long wide lazy river, 2 infant pools, normal pool and jacuzzi. Also 3 flumes but only single riders above 1.1 -1.3 meters allowed. Café very limited - only a few sandwiches. £1 coin for lockers.
Fantastic experience: The kids love it here. One body slide and two with rings, rapids and jacuzzi areas. Reasonably priced, clean and well maintained. 1.2m deep in the rapids.
Positive experience: The Aquadrome has been an amazing place to go to if its a hot day and you want to go swimming. . It is also a great place to teach your kids how to swim.
Negative experience: My kids do swimming lessons here and while I wait I notice how dirty everything around the pools is. We Pay nearly £100 a month for half hour swimming lessons a week and I feel like they should pay someone to jet wash the floors at least a couple of times a year.. we have been coming here for years and it’s never been clean.. I left the gym for this same reason. The kids love their swimming lessons or I would’ve taken them out too. Two stars because some of the teachers are quite good. Sort it out aquadrome. Very unhygienic
Negative experience: I booked adult swimming lessons for my partner as a gift and sorely regret it. The lessons were reasonably priced and Gil was a great instructor. However, it has been almost impossible to cancel the lessons now that we do not need them. Basingstoke Aquadrome has outsourced their membership management to Serco (MoreSwimming) whom are unfit for service. MoreSwimming's account management page has no method for cancellation. If you ask the Aquadrome to cancel it they simply state "We can't handle that." And give you an email for Serco. Alternatively you can find an obscure contact information on the Aquadrome website. Having emailed Serco (MoreSwimming) and explaining I want the account cancelled, I was told I couldn't close it because my email did not match the account. This was totally untrue as we never provided them another email address and I provided screenshots of activation emails, and the MoreSwimming account page to prove it is under my email, and the direct debit was from an account also in MY name. They replied stating that I still could not close the account because the lessons were for my partner, and not myself. She cannot email them to cancel the lessons because the account is not linked to her email, it is linked to mine. It is completely ridiculous. Upon cancelling the direct debit with my bank suddenly the Aquadrome have taken in interest beyond "We cannot handle this." and left me a voicemail, but as always they only pick up the phone about 20% of the time. 2 weeks, 6 emails, 2 phone calls, a visit to the pool in person, and I'm still trying to cancel this membership. I don't know why there is not simply a button to cancel the membership like any modern service provider would be expected to supply in the 21st century. At the very least the staff at the Aquadrome should be able to handle this on client's behalf that would be a minimum of customer service. Therefore, I seriously warn anyone considering taking up a subscription with the Aquadrome until they revisit how they manage their memberships and improve the customer experience.
Positive experience: Hardly premium and in desperate need of a refresh in many areas BUT the value for money is decent and you get a good deal of things with a memship such as pool, suana, steam, classes, big open gym. Not to mention you have access to any other gym in the chain (a feature not useful to many but great for me living between Tadley and Basingstoke). Parking is great. Opening times are pretty dated Vs modern gyms
Positive experience: Looked like I was struggling in deep water so lifeguard put Rod out to hold and made sure I was okay. Feel very safe at this pool, lots of lifeguards. Missing 1 star as every time I have been, always have part of the pool closed off. Other than this, staff, service and cost is great
Negative experience: Really disappointed with my experience here. Came here with my son as it's just myself and him. He was really looking forward to coming because of the slides but has only just started to swim so isn't yet confident enough to go on the slides on his own. Every other water park we've been to a child can go with the parent on the slides. Here you can't do that. Every one has to go on their own. This also meant that if I wanted to go in the slides my child would have to be left unattended to do so. Stayed for about ten or fifteen minutes with an upset child and so left. Wrote to complaints department and was told it's for safety reasons. Really rubbish in my opinion so won't ever be back. Sorry.
Fantastic experience: very good for kids has swim lanes for adults
Positive experience: Nice to have the slides open again. Water was abit cold in the rapid bit But other pools were nice and warm. Shame little section was shut again. But my kids enjoyed it ages 3 til 14yrs
Positive experience: Great place to visit. Took 2 young children (12 and 4) who had a whale of a time. Downside is one hour is not quite long enough - could do with 90 mins really. We booked a 2 hour slot for 3 adults, 2 children Good job really as we got stuck in traffic and was 10 minutes late in! Our usual journey would be 40/45 mins. Fairly expensive doing it that way.
Fantastic experience: It used to be a great place to go and it is again. The entry fee is at the right. Two of the three slides are working again just like the jacuzzi. It is a great place to go with kids.
Positive experience: Saw alot of negative reviews on the aquadrome recently about it being cold. We went on a warm day and the water temp was absolutely fine for my nearly 2 year old (who swam for free). He loved the lagoon n the smaller pool for toddlers. We were a bit dissapointed the new spa pool was closed but there was other things to occupy him in the pool. We stayed an hour n half and wasnt told to leave by a certain time etc. 2 out of 3 slides working (blue one wasnt) Showers were nice and warm. Changing rooms were tidy. Hairdryers worked but i was too hot to use one myself. Vending machines were a bit ransacked but mcds n kfc are 2 mins away. We will be back! I used to come here when i was little and few changes have been made since i last came around 10 years ago! Still fun.
Fantastic experience: Great flumes, 3 of them although 1 wss not working, 2 usually have rings, 1 is a drop bowl type. Great lazy river and bubble pools of the sides, hot tub and loads of kids play pools. Large 1 mtr depth kids 20 mtr pool, and then an adult lane swimming pool. Price was for and hour but can pre pay for more than 1, and covers all the pools and flumes. Good showers and decent changing rooms. All in all one of our favourite swimming pools now.
Negative experience: I paid for a family ticket for this place. Now the price is ok but the facilities don’t warrant that type of money. 3 water slides for only 2 was operating. No small kids activities and what there was it was closed. The toilets was shocking. The males 3 urinals not working. The smell of stale urine in the toilets was shocking. And the overall cleanliness was appalling. I was told the females was no better. Then the customer service at the cafe. I don’t know if the guy wanted to be there or not. But trying to order 3 slush drinks was hard work. I don’t think I’d be returning to this place. Has the potential to be really good.
Positive experience: Rapids were a bit cold and slow. Flumes are good, but one of them was shut on our visit. Fairly good value.
