Positive experience: Overall a good place

Positive experience: Doomer well leisure centre are based: Dormer's Wells Ln, Southall UB1 3JB I love this centre. The staff are amazing ,very friendly, helpful, and professional. The pool is always set at the perfect temperature, which is very important to me. Massive parking lot with free parking on site. Plenty of lockers , bring your own lock to use free of charge. Everything operates via the Everyone Active app. And to my pleasure , it's works perfectly. It's no hassle , easy to use. You can view , book, and pay via the app . Turn up at the allocated time slot, buzz yourself in via your app membership app, and get ready to swim. Brilliant idea , reliable app , works perfectly for me, and I enjoy swimming there twice a week . I pay as I go . Very fair time slotting and perfect max numbers per lane . Well worth the money and well organised.. Brilliant... Update: Thursday 6 February Unfortunately, I've had to change my review to 3 stars. Today, I witnessed unprofessional behaviour. Some bullying towards an older female swimmer and foul language is being used by staff in the pool. It is clear more training is desperately needed, better respect towards members and when their own staff are using the pool at the same time as members , the staff should be held to the same rules as members! I should not be listening to the F... word being used by the staff. Unfortunately, the older lady they bullied has never returned . Very unprofessional!

Negative experience: Is no open 24 hours

Positive experience: It's an okay place clean nice pool..which is more than can be said about the surrounding area..which is without doubt the dirtiest area of london..litter everywhere and even peoples front gardens are full of cramp.. do people not know what a litter bin is..do they think herbs roadside gutters are for dropping rubbish....people of Southall clean up your streets!

Positive experience: I would appreciate if they add more swimming sessions for women only, they are always full, clearly because women want to swim on their own, but there are barley any sessions, so would be nice if the hundred sessions of lane swimming, are reduced a bit and turned into women’s sessions.

Negative experience: 17:27 Saturday and gym is closed.

Positive experience: My Son plays for a football team on the pitches next to the location. Grass could be cut and leveled and some seating.

Negative experience: My experience was completely bad. My daughter go for swimming lesson. Swimming teacher is kasey. wasting time and money. Her eyes on o'clock after every 2-3min. No technic for swimming. Time wasting

Negative experience: Very bad. My daughter go for swimming there. Her swimming teacher name is kasey. She just waste the time and money of the people. Doesn't teach anything. All 30min continuously watch the clock. Doesn't tell any technic to kids. Even many time my daughter was alone with her in swimming pool. She just waste time. Last more than 5 min waste time on jumping. Very bad experience.

Negative experience: There is swimming teacher working there and Her mother working for some borough council and anyone do something to her she threat people for her mum she works there and tell I told my mum will destroy you and family I can’t believe how they hire someone like keep threat I am very disappointed with the experience I had at Swimming pool Despite paying for my membership, my access was blocked without any explanation. This unexpected and unjustified action has caused me a great deal of frustration. When I tried to resolve the issue, I was met with unhelpful and unresponsive customer service. My emails and calls went unanswered, and when I did manage to speak with someone, they provided no clear reason for why my membership was revoked. This lack of communication and transparency is unacceptable. As a paying member, I expected to receive the services I paid for, along with courteous and professional treatment. Unfortunately, [failed to meet these basic expectations. I strongly advise others to be cautious before committing to a membership here, as their management and customer service practices are highly unreliable.

Negative experience: I’ve been a loyal customer for a long time, but I’m extremely disappointed with recent changes. The gym prioritizes external personal trainers, who often disrupt members’ workouts, even stopping us mid-set. Additionally, the women’s gym is overcrowded due to consolidation. There’s a clear lack of respect for members’ time and space. I hope management addresses these issues soon.

Fantastic experience: Always nice and clean, friendly staff and PT, never crowded or rude people, also has a swimming pool, a nice and quiet place to do a workout without any nonsense. Perfect

Positive experience: Honestly It doesn't even deserve 3 stars ! The place is filthy. Machine's are always broken. The staff... well I'm really beginning to get annoyed with the female staff here. They stare at you as if in competition. Ridiculous. There's one female staff not sure of her name but she's always working out in the gym in the afternoons. Honestly felt like saying something once or twice. I do not come to the gym to be stared at and to compete with staff! Came in with my other half and the woman could not staring and hovering where we were. Seemed as though she was making excuses to come around and be noticed. It made him feel uncomfortable so we left. Insecure women at this gym that stare and when you catch them cant even flash a smile.Changing gym ASAP!

Negative experience: Equipment damaged and not repaired for months ! AC is not working at main gym and they are not doing nothing with this. A lot of leaks and cracks on the walls .

Negative experience: As mentioned in the previous reviews, the air conditioner has not been working for months downstairs. Feels like working out in a sauna, I saw someone almost pass out downstairs a few weeks ago due to the excessive temperature. There are 2 temporary fans which do nothing at all. The air quality downstairs is terrible, no circulation, so when it’s busy, smells awful. Parts of the building have not been repaired since the flood, missing parts on equipment, torn fabric on equipment which hasn’t been fixed, the list goes on. If I could give it zero stars I would , but it didn’t let me. This gym needs to start compensating customers as I am paying full price for an awful service all round. The membership should be lowered to £10 a month to reflect the quality of service and equipment offered.

Negative experience: Air conditioning has been broken for 6 months and has not been repaired since. Training in the weight room downstairs feels like training in a sauna, airflow downstairs is very poor feels hard to breathe. Staff lie about when the AC will be fixed.

Negative experience: The main gym downstairs had no air conditioning for the last 6 months. Zero airflow. Gets up to 35 degrees. Smells of vomit bad body odour and urine. Management lie about when they are going to solve the issue.

Negative experience: This is the worst gym by a country mile. You have a young tall dude who I believe is the fitness manager that cannot communicate to save his life. You then have a female front of house (I think Kulvinder, middle aged woman) that is happy to commit data security breach by walking away from desk without locking computer. You then have one of the swim instructor called Oliver who just shows awful customer service. My advice is these people do not know how to run a gym. I used to come here for badminton only but thank goodness this is not my local gym. The people and management are disgusting and show really bad behaviour.

Negative experience: Jobsworth management don't know how to maintain the equipment.. The machines on the first floor are falling apart.. Tried talking to the manager, he interrupted me in a condescending manner and gave me some lame excuse on why they won't get any of the equipment fixed. The paint on the walls is flaking due to water damage and the walls and ceiling are covered in mold.

Negative experience: Some staff are very nice however majority are rude for no reason, customer service is clearly not a priority.

Negative experience: Where do i begin?! The awful service or the attitude that comes with that pathetic service. Being shortchanged on timings for 2 hour slots on badminton week after week, and when questioned, an appalling self-entitled "manager" by the name of Luke asked us to leave. You'd think the least this "manager" would have is courtesy and the decency to resolve matters in a reasonable manner, but this probably what you get when you have dont invest in training and get people like Luke trying to run shifts. Luke, a manager more by fLUKE than on merit! This review will probably get discarded like the rest of the reviews here. A real shame!

Negative experience: Absolutely disgusting service!! Luke was completely out of order and incredibly rude. The staff are unbelievably lazy and unprofessional. I had the worst experience imaginable. Every interaction was frustrating and unhelpful. They clearly don’t care about their customers at all. Never use any of their services; it’s a complete waste of time and money. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else.

Negative experience: I would not recommend any body going here to be honest. Not only is the gym cramped and stifling, but also unhygienic. The changing rooms are a disgrace. You’re much better off exercising elsewhere.

Negative experience: Equipment damage is causing a strain on the peace of the gym. Having to be told to limit your time on some equipment because you can’t afford to replace them ? Most pathetic thing I’ve seen.

Negative experience: Terrible equipment, most equipment is missing and gym is extremely small. Always messy, weights everywhere. I would not recommend. Wish I had visited inside myself before I booked for this gym. Waste of money.

Negative experience: I wish I had read reviews before signing up my child. The manager is absolutely ridiculous! Extremely poor communication skills. Yesterday we got there for swimming lessons and the manager decided to move the kids from stage 3 swimming zone to stage 2 and she made no sense trying to explain to the parents. I genuinely think that they think they can do whatever they like because majority of these parents are foreign. It's absolutely disgusting!

Fantastic experience: Good gym everything there what we need.

Negative experience: No longer do walk in for swimming. I went not realising it had changed and it took me 40 minutes to walk there. The man said you have to book online. There does seem to be a way for the to book for you. I had to leave. I checked the Web page is confusing. There are three lane each with it own priority booking. You can book one off. You have to join everyone active. I do not want to do that. Last time I kept getting so many emails to join memberships. I found that the next borough pools it is not a must to book. It more flexible which suits me as I work different hours. I find everyone active website to busy and complicated to use.

Negative experience: Hi I am just very upset with the teacher.They are never coming and they are not responsible. I am always paying and it is very expensive.But I am still paying for 2 of my kids. The teachers and the manager should be responsible. The receptionist doesn’t know about our enquiries.They should change the staff and manager also.

Positive experience: I think this place os nice but the karaty classes are not good i advise u to take swimming classes the class and teachers are great i hope u enjoy this place again karaty classes in this place is not good although swimming is better for you to do

Negative experience: Not hygiene at all. Health and safety is zero. We don’t know how the council gave the permission to run this kind of business premises.

Negative experience: One of the worst gyms you can go to. Machines are broken, weights are not properly kept. Hygiene is the worst. Some of the equipment have worn-out cables which can cause severe injuries if it breaks. Machines are not maintained or cleaned. Overall a really bad experience.

Fantastic experience: It is a good place. It has gym, swimming and more.

Negative experience: Extremely dirty! Absolutely horrendous. And the mgmt cannot observe the under 16 children act regulations. Kids running around in the weights area. Disabled bays used by staff!

Negative experience: Rubbish plz don’t send your child .they did cash course when my child start there swim teacher sick and three days sick it’s a five days course and three days sick.they told me that they will refund my money I am still waiting what a rubbish service they providing.

Positive experience: Great gym and a lot of facilities to use, one staff member was a little rude when asked about certain benefits as i work for the local authority for this area so i wanted to enquire. Apart from the rudeness, other staff were polite, i especially enjoyed using the women's only gym.

Fantastic experience: This s a great facility! I regularly use the swimming pool both nlindividually and as a family. Staffs at this centre are extremely helpful and very courteous. I also love the new ladies only gym studio which a fantastic addition to this centre. But the most i love is the studio fitness classes like zumba and yoga. The trainers are so passionate and makes these classes so energetic. My only complain would be - need more classes like this all weekdays esp in the evening. Well done - and keep the good work!

Positive experience: Not a bad gym ,few things need upgrades

Negative experience: Regular boys always using the machines and not giving anyone else a chance. They use there own speakers even after several complaints. Spoke to the manager, who fobbed me off when asking about the safety of the gym, really unpleasant to speak with. Generally a bad gym if you are looking to progress with weights and strength. Defiantly not worth the membership money.

Negative experience: Really had bad experience with this leisure centre. Joined and took 2 months advance payment direct debit, had one lesson only and calling each week & cancelling lesson. Now refusing to refund money. Front of house staff rudely disconnected my calls. Can anyone suggest how to get my money refund fron them.

Positive experience: It was fine and staff were helpful but some AC (especially in this heat) would make this absolutely fab and great value for money.

Fantastic experience: My favourite swimming spot! I want to take my wife there too for a little swim session!

Negative experience: Really bad customer service - cannot cancel or change a session but get charged £4 'no show' fee. When calling customer service they close the phone on your face and are very rude when they dont know the answer.

Positive experience: The monthly membership price is very reasonable. The staff are generally friendly and the space is sufficiently clean. You have all the basics you need for getting a good workout. The equipment is clean and in decent condition. People more dedicated to weight lifting might find that there is only 1 proper squat rack quite limiting. However, the free weights room is always a mess because many of the members disregard the courtesy of returning weights to the racks; often slam weights or throw them on the ground...and staff struggle to enforce these rules. Despite the revamp of the place and investment in new equipment it's sad that people do this to their local gym. It's also quite annoying that there are young teenagers treating the space as an extension of their school behaviour which doesn't help create the most motivating environment to workout in. The swimming pool is a huge plus.

Negative experience: This leisure centre swimming pool services is worst , please never visit again, Google need to make 0 star why I am giving 1 star they don't deserve. This is the expensive swimming around West London, for 50 minutes they charge £4.65 , their locker accept old £1 coin or token ,there is no any clear instruction, my new coin was stock and I spend half an hour ,I just swim for 20 minutes and paid £4.65. Lifeguard and manager are walking with their shoes without cover ,this is hygiene issues, one more big thing they use bucket and straight deep in swimming pool to get water to clean their toilets and changing room while customersare swimming,totally unacceptable, Ealing Council needs to shut this swimming pool service , they are not here for public service they wants to make money . Worst customer service, Lifeguard and manager both arguing with the customers . Please don't use this leisure swimming services.

Fantastic experience: I visited with my kids yesterday for swimming and after reading reviews here i was not expecting much of this place but to my surprise it was a very good experience pool and changing area was clean and staff was very helpful and friendly we didn't know that the swimming caps was compulsory although they have mentioned that everywhere on their social media and website so we purchased from reception which r very reasonably priced £2.50 each me and kids had fun a day well spent

Negative experience: Had a really bad experience with a rude and stuck up reception staff named Kamaljeet at Dormers well lane. We didn't bring along with us swimming caps as we were unaware and were not told to carry a swimming cap and got a shocker when told we had to purchase a cap for £8 each since we booked as a family had to shell out £32 by this women who wouldn't make an effort to be courteous like the other staff at the facility who were so helpful. On our previous initial visit we were given free caps by the staff near the pool and weren't aware we had to carry our own caps. I even requested her if this time she could make some temporary arrangement and would definitely purchase my personal one on my next visit. My request fell on deaf ears,she was reluctant,a real stuck up woman! I feel absolutely disgusted with her attitude she was presenting. She didn't even budge and even lied that they had run out of spare caps to provide, I confirmed with another staff at the site who informed me they did have spare caps and witnessed them distributing the caps to the people around in need of it. She even gave me a statement that her job is to make sales at the facility. Well I did speak to the manager and he's was shocked to hear about his staff behaviour. This ordeal faced with this women does give bad name to Dormers well lane.

Negative experience: My first day back to a gym and what an awful experience. The first point of contact isn’t friendly in actual fact I should know my own way around. You change in the swimming pool area, the floors looks walked over in outer footwear. The pools just look so not cared for. We are in a pandemic you’d think cleanliness is a high priority. Staff are not helpful. Oh god the changing rooms, lady’s toilets and showers…I don’t feel they have been cleaned at all. I don’t think Heath and safety regulations are being followed here. At least not in the swimming facilities. I came home feeling ill. Wouldn’t recommend at least not in the current conditions.

Negative experience: Appalling customer service. Staff members are extremely rude and have 0 knowledge of etiquette when speaking to customers and addressing their concerns. I was out of town and needed to cancel my membership as I could not pay for the month of December. They told me to cancel through direct debit yet still charged me and failed to tell me that I'd still be charged for December and are refusing a refund.They should invest some money into social skills training for their staff. Actually, thinking about it... no amount of money will make them improve.

Positive experience: I love dormers wells leisure because it has more of a sentimental value to me. As I used to come hear as a kid with school swimming. And with family to. That was in 1992. I'm 35 now in 2018 and still love the simplicity of it. Its has everything except sauna steam room.

Negative experience: The staff wew highly rude we went swimming and after 1 minute we were kicked out because my son cant swim 25 metres but he can do 20 metres so we were kicked out and the lady that did said no refund totally a waste of time and I will never come back.

Positive experience: Nice gym. Free parking and has a swimming pool. Could do with more gym equipment but reasonably priced. At peak times it's difficult to find equipment to use. Some machines need repairing.

Positive experience: Swimming teachers are not that good. Not teaching properly. Management team increasing the people in the group all the time . Group extended and effect to children as they can’t learn and practice in 30 minuets swimming lessons.

Positive experience: Not a bad gym if you are only looking for a gym. The changing rooms and pool is satisfactory at best and leave much to be desired. A big main sports hall which has many clubs throughout the week. One of which is a Combat Karate Club, which I have heard great things about.
