Negative experience: Been coming here for a year now. last year was great everything was working now there is loads of machines not working not worth the money
Positive experience: Nice Gym ️♀️ Staff friendly
Fantastic experience: The sauna is the best sauna I have been in, and the cleaner George is always friendly and working hard to keep it clean
Positive experience: Decent gym with sauna and everything staff are really friendly Taylor is always really helpful ,and George the cleaner pretty much does all the cleaning puts a graft in !
Fantastic experience: Dear everlast gym sale I would like to make you aware that each of my visits, i have noticed that George Atkinson, always goes the extra mile with jobs such as cleaning, customer service and offers an overall welcoming feeling. Thanks much appreciated
Negative experience: The staff are always absolutely wonderful however the gym itself is pretty poor. I froze my membership a few months ago as I was fed up of the equipment/facilities being constantly out of order and the swimming pool either being full of kids or being taken over by swimming lessons. I returned about a month ago to find the situation has got even worse! There's an out of order sign on about 7 out of 10 treadmills and 4 out of 6 cross-trainers. It's never been a top of the range gym, but for the low membership price it was always worth it. However with the amount of machines that are out of order these days (and how long it takes to get anything fixed!), it's not really feeling that way - especially since the membership price has increased!
Fantastic experience: I was only at this gym for a short time due to changing jobs but I can honestly say it was hands down the best gym I have ever been to. Such a nice environment. Christian you was so helpful. Thanks again. Hope you have a mega year v
Fantastic experience: Great Gym, lovely Staff.
Positive experience: Great gym and Spa. The price is insanely low for so much on offer. Some equipment due for replacement as its a take over from a previous gym but, in this current economy... well, I'd not hold my breathe, lol. Still, wow, the equipment and classes on offer, Fantastic. Happy.
Negative experience: Really awful, equipment bad for such a high price, cancelling my membership was so difficult and got charged months after they said they had cancelled it. Much better alternatives for cheaper. DO NOT GO!
Fantastic experience: I started here 2005 it's an amazing club the staff are amazing motivating and friendly the classes are fantastic built alot of friends. The pool sauna steam room are fantastic. It's a great fun environment to be. It's great for all ages.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful gym, great value for money, has a steam room and sauna to
Negative experience: It's almost more than 2 months and still most of the equipments are not working... They're just fooling people by saying management is replacing with new equipment since September.
Negative experience: If you like broken equipment that takes an age to repair/ replace then this is the gym for you. A fine collection of out of order treadmills, cross trainers, bike machines and rowing machines, capped off with cables snapping every other week. Oh, and the water tap is upstairs and loose.
Negative experience: I've been a member here for a few years, it has a 4 lane 18m pool for MEMBERS however recently half of the pool ie 2 lanes are taken up with private swimming lessons most evenings Mon to Fri at peak times. If you want to swim go somewhere else!!
Negative experience: No air con or fans literally sweating before your workout, 20+ machines broken which never get fixed, no lifeguard on the pool, kids in and out of sauna and steam room. Impossible to do lengths in the pool when its always full of kids. Sick of complaining to staff. Nothing ever gets done.
Positive experience: Sauna and Steam Room are small.. a store room is probably bigger than that
Positive experience: Excellent gym for sauna and steam room but I do find the actual gym lacks equipment for a good all round workout. Staff where very friendly on my visit though and very helpful :)
Fantastic experience: Excellent staff and good amenities. Manager Catherine always available to talk about any queries or problems. Staff member Rachael is always there to put a smile on your face and tend to your needs. Excellent classes but one has to book early.
Negative experience: Worst gym i ever been.
Negative experience: Stay away from this 'Everlast-ing' head ache of a company, that has a policy to tie the customer into a monthly contract that is binding in favour of the company, not you the customer! The membership team at head office also refuse to delete all the ex-customers personal data, bank details, address, health reports you've filled in on your dashboard. That's right all your personal data is stored on file. Basically protecting them legally from any customer claims whilst they've been a member. The customer requesting deletion under the GDPR policy is not honoured by everlast GDPR team. At no time, is the customer entitled to any refund nor reduction when, yes the machinery, equipment is constantly out of order. Management are quick to enforce, 'it's in the contract' and you're expected to pay regardless if the clubs equipment is faulty and not working. The sauna had been out of action since Nov 2023. And only just now 7 months later having refit! The steam room thermostat was constantly vandalised and general usability was then off for many weeks. Excuse was they were waiting for the spare part, when in fact the real reason was the company wanted to wait until the new tax year started before it got fixed in April 2024. The spa jacuzzi has now mysteriously been covered up and is now hidden away and unusable. My advice is pay £10 for a day pass. Don't sign up to a direct debit contract, you will regret it. And as others have stated Everlast will only cancel your membership upon request after the contract is paid up. To entice old disgruntled customers back. You will see crafty deals such as £5 for a month on sign up, then 2 months half price, full price there after. Buy yourself a home gym and save yourself from a heap of dissapointment and everlast-ing broken, out of order equipment, that you've got to keep paying full membership for.
Negative experience: Terrible, everything’s always breaking, pool is tiny and sauna is never open.
Negative experience: Been using there gym for years back to when it was sports direct and even befor that , I've not been able to access the gym for a few months due to my health declining but having been there long enough I'm honestly appalled, the facilities being broken and unfixed pot holes in the parking lot and when I finally tried to cancel my membership the app not working so I sent a message through there websight to get this response... I apparently have to prove my lack of funds in order to cancel the membership despite being in a cost of living crisis this seems completely unethical to be forced to send confidential paperwork to a gym in order to cancel a membership for health reasons...
Positive experience: A medium size vicinity packed with almost every thing you could get with any premium gyms. Good value for money.
Positive experience: Large open space makes even a busy night not seem to full. Good range or equipment and helpful staff
Negative experience: What a scam they will never let you cancel your subscription and keep Steeling your money way after your contract finish..be carfull
Negative experience: Sauna has been out of action for months, steam room now also kaput...lots of machines broken...it's sad how badly managed and maintained this gym has become.
Negative experience: This gym is cheap so thats the positive, however having been a member over a year, I have the following issues:- A full range of classes are offered but these are booked up almost immediately, they are crowded, if equipment is required then there is not enough to go around and they cant seem to provide a good working microphone for the instructors to use. One of the big reasons I joined was the Sauna and steam room. These have both been out of order for over 3 months with the reasons being that it is the fault of the gym users for miss using the rooms. When any piece of gym equipment breaks then dont expect it to be repaired within 6 months. My conclusion is that it is a cost management deliberate policy to not repair equipment quickly. I have raised some of my concerns (which included increasing my membership cost by 25% without notifying me) but they didn't even respond to my email. The location for me is excellent but the quality and customer service are very very poor (although the staff in the gym are very likeable). If you only have £25 per month to spend (based on 12 month subscription) then worth considering but if you have a bigger budget then find somewhere better
Fantastic experience: New manager Jermaine is an absolute gent.. world class customer service always puts a smile On my face
Negative experience: Everytime I visit your Sale gym. There are always facilities out of order. The jacuzzi is always out of order. The swimming pool and sauna/steam room facilities have also been out of order.
Negative experience: Sauna and steam room out of action for a while
Negative experience: Good location, nice staff. But sadly lacking in good equipment and the stuff that is there a lot is broken. And lots of broken kit not labelled as so. Missing a lot of stuff also
Negative experience: Things are always broken and take months to repair, the sauna hasn't worked for about 4months the steam room is always breaking , don't think I will be using it for much longer
Negative experience: Really not happy with Everlast gym. I've been a customer for nearly 5 years. The price has gone up which I appreciate but the maintenance of the gym. Specifically SALE branch is awful. There's never any toilet tissue. The sink water is barely warm. There's literally one water dispenser for the whole gym. The steam room and sauna are always out of service. The sauna has been down for 4 months. However members are paying full membership price although half the services are always out of order. There's no shorts drying facilities too. You really do need to sort things out it feels like the gym is falling apart.
Fantastic experience: Wonderful, friendly, helpful staff. Great all round place to go.
Positive experience: The Staff are excellent despite the Sauna being out of service since December, The Steam room broken and out of service so the Health Suite not available. The Gym is excellent but has music above the level required and the Chlorine levels were high in the busy Jacuzzi and pool. I would prefer to see more attention given to advising service users if the best protocol to use the facilities than to see broken facilities. I came as a visitor and potential customer but without services being operational, I can't join! Management not Staff!
Positive experience: One of the quality gyms out there the staff are amazing really to help thanks for your hospitality
Negative experience: This is the worst gym I have ever been too. Lack of equipment, not enough dumbbells. Equipment constantly broken and takes months to be fixed. Its old, dated and dirty. Staff promise a refurb but I cant see this happening. Cheeky how they increase the membership cost but do not fix, update or replace any of the equipment.
Fantastic experience: Great gym.
Positive experience: Staff are great but it’s a little small and dated inside, price is good considering it has a pool but you have to subscribe for 6-12 months for a decent price
Fantastic experience: Great gym. Lovely staff.
Positive experience: Quite a small gym. Barely any free weight space to fit 5 people. Some machines broken, all rowing machines are broken. Look like the gym did little prep for new year. Sauna was broken, but the steam room was on. Overall quite a neglected gym.
Positive experience: Nice gym, good atmosphere, and nice friendly staff
Negative experience: Limited equipment , no sign of any investment. Staff couldn’t have cared less regarding membership options. Avoid
Fantastic experience: Oh my gosh! This is the most beautiful gym I've ever been to. I'm a member of the Kettering Everlast gym, which is also tier 2, so I was able to come here, and use a free pass for my friend. We're currently on tour with a show, so we try and go to gyms if there's one at our location. This one has been my favourite so far. It's in a beautiful art deco building that looks as if it used to be a theatre! It's very open and well laid out with clear paths between equipment. There's an adequate amount of machines so I didn't have to wait for anything (although I was there at 8am so it wasnt too busy). I was most excited about the stairmaster and bosu balls because the Kettering branch doesn't have these. There's also a pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi but I didn't have time to use these facilities. All in all, a great visit, I'd be back in a heartbeat if it was closer. Lots of stairs though, but the leg equipment is on the bottom floor.
Negative experience: Appealing ethics morals. They don’t care about their members or instructors from what I’ve seen with friends. Don’t support these bullies.
Fantastic experience: Decent gym, not your average everlast by any means
Negative experience: Very affordable as you get a pool/sauna/ steam room but don’t be tricked when they say they are due to be refurbished. They told us that 2 years ago and previous members grabbed us later and informed us they have been saying that for years. Equipment breaks and takes months and months to be repaired which is ridiculous as it’s basic/common equipment so parts shouldn’t be hard to get hold of. Basic things like the floor threshold hasn’t been replaced when broken, they just stick hazard tape on it. They claimed they installed a new ceiling in the studio when really all they did was replace the few damaged tiles. They have also stopped providing tissue paper and cleaning products so you can’t clean equipment or mats which is pretty rank and cheap of them. I feel it’s pretty poorly managed in general (although the actual staff are friendly and helpful / do a good job), it needs someone who cares / uses the gym and understands how frustrating these problems are. I suppose you get what you pay for but basic things like being able to clean equipment and having important gym equipment fixed quickly shouldn’t have to suffer
Negative experience: Using a lot of gyms with gym pass app and this is one if not the worst gym I have ever visited equipment that short I couldn’t complete a back training session
Fantastic experience: Hi, I joined Everlast Gym in Sale a few months ago and love it. I go to the classes aswell as doing some gym work. I recommend spinning cycle classes with Martin on Tues/Wed. I also do legs bums and runs with Ella on Friday. This is all included in the monthly fee. It’s a very friendly gym.
Positive experience: Value for money .. not bad
Positive experience: I'm a member across multiple everlast gyms previously jd multiple so been useful experience to compare. I like this one roomy lots of kit great to have sauna and steam and jacuzzi. Pool nice and clean too. Couple of things that would make it 5 star. No inclined bench for sit up crunch work. No cold shower!!!! All showers are hot jd always have a cold one and other everlast gyms eg blackburn and halifax have variable temp showers. Soap dispensers but no soap in any of them! Other than that really good
Negative experience: Bad customer service
Positive experience: Decent gym. Good equipment, good value for money. Reasonable size car park
Positive experience: This is a great gym with everything you need. Although the sauna has not been working for a couple of months and won't be fixed till May according to the assistant.
Positive experience: An okay gym. We used a free day pass to have a go. I used the pool which was decent, it's only small but does the job - there was a jacuzzi bubbling away and doors to the steam and sauna room which a couple chairs available. One chair was occupied by a man consuming his dinner which was a little odd. Changing rooms (ladies) were fine, only one cubicle if you want privacy but plenty of benches and lockers. Toilets were clean and showers were hot but turned off quite quick. My husband used the actual gym - he usually goes cycling. He said the machines are a little old and he probably wouldn't opt to go again. There is a separate room at the top which doubles as a spin room and there are plenty of free weights. Best thing about the gym is the building its in as it's an old theatre/cinema so it's on 3 levels - love that but there's no windows so maybe a bit gloomy.
Fantastic experience: Great gym for the price of the membership. With classes, pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. The equipment is decent too first place I have ever seen a treadmil with a negative incline on the treadmill. Just remember to input your registration in the tablet as you enter.
Fantastic experience: Great gym and friendly staff
Fantastic experience: Love this place massive gym on many floor levels So never overcrowded and the pool is heated and full access to all facilities including sauna, steam room love it a bargain for the monthly charge
Positive experience: Positives - good range of equipment, steam and sauna great, staff helpful, changing room ok, keeping the ex cinema decor (!) Jacuzzi seems OK Very good value subscription. Negatives - pool on small side, time taken to repair defective equipment
Fantastic experience: A good gym with pool and sauna a good place to train
Fantastic experience: Very pleasant staff
Negative experience: There's always something going wrong with the swimming area, today they closed the pool because of high chlorine levels at 10: 30 in the morning with the pool full , people just getting in .Why didn't they test it at 6:00am when they opened and closed the pool to all arrivals with a notice outside. The jacuzzi invariably is closed because of high chlorine levels .The pool is constantly being topped up with a hose pouring cold water in. The locker rooms are shabby and often cold ,the place needs a makeover. But I suppose they will tell us not to complain with subs at £20 per month.
Fantastic experience: One of the good gym near by with facilities like Steam & Sauna bath at a very reasonable monthly price..
Negative experience: Staff are amazing. However, It takes months to fix any machines. Most of the cable machines are out of order for more than two months and still counting!!
Negative experience: Possibly the worst gym I have been to and I have been in few very bad ones. So many machines “out of order” even the water machine has not been working for weeks, we have to take the water from a tap that is in the shower. It is very dirty, I haven’t seen anyone cleaning the changing rooms in 7 months that I have been coming almost every day. The instructors don’t come to the clases and the staff doesn’t notify anything, don’t apologize, some days we have been waiting 20 minutes for the instructor and none said anything until we ask. The layout of the gym doesn’t make any sense. I wouldn’t recommend it to any friend at all. It is a joke.
Positive experience: Used to go when it was LA Fitness, machines have been updated and it’s clean.
Negative experience: Cable Machines are all practically out of order, they is 3 cables left 2 of them are used all the time by a PT. Smith Machines Broken. Pulldown machines have been broken for months. When i asked staff when they will be fixed i was answers rudely. I have also not been offered any compensation considering i pay monthly and can’t cancel the payment. Finally, I do not recommend this gym
Fantastic experience: Good gym friendly staff
Negative experience: If it's not broken, or out of order gym machines you want. Then consider contracting 'legionaires disease' (legionella) instead. There's evidence of very poor cleanliness and a deep lack of safe hygiene regarding the swimming pool, small steam room, small sauna room and jacuzzi spa areas. All these facility areas are over used, overcrowded by many different people on a daily basis, due to cheap membership fees. And I have to say some of the users I have seen in here, are very unhygienic, unhealthy to say the least. Phlegm and spit on the floors. The regular potent stench of urine in both steam and sauna rooms is terrible. The jacuzzi spa is often closed because of the same problem, contamination of spa water. And the Everlast manager and counter staff all know about it! Why these areas are not disenfected swilled out thoroughly multiple times a day, I don't know; laziness, cost cutting, staff problems, lack of care to customer? Be advised if you want to wallow and relax in someone elses urine or potentially catch legionnaires disease, then come here and use the 'wet facilities' in the Everlast Gym in Sale. This gym should put to rest and be shut down, it's well past its' day and so are all the internals. The customer complaints that get raised here daily is a testimony to those facts.
Fantastic experience: Great prices great place
Negative experience: I went to the gym which I'm a member of a couple of weeks ago and the weather was hot, the fans were on blowing lots of cold air and also blowing dust into the atmosphere, I had stinging eyes which became sore and very red I was also sneezing alot. I left the gym feeling very unwell Later that evening I couldn't talk my throat had swelled, along with struggling to breath. I have since had a really bad chest infection. So with the weather heating up soon I think I will be giving it a miss. I do like the gym and the machines buts not good breathing in that dust from the high ceilings and the lights which are on wires that seem to be covered in alot of dust. I cannot afford to be off work ill again
Fantastic experience: Great gym with swimming pool, very friendly stuff.
Fantastic experience: Lovely clean gym - lots of apparatus & good size pool
Negative experience: The staff is lovely, but the gym in general is so filthy with lots of equipment not working or being really worn out. The gym was always overcrowded and the women’s wardrobe is the most disgusting wardrobe I’ve ever entered. The floor was so dirty and disgusting with mold and dust everywhere and even rubbish in the corners. It was always freezing and had the door open? You’d think people might want some privacy? I’ve never gotten out of a gym shower and felt more dirty then when I entered. Just in general the most filthy and disgusting gym I’ve ever been to. Someone please just tear this old ruin down already or let another owner purchase this and renovate this to make this gym an actual place people aren’t embarrassed to go to. Another annoying point is that they make you enter a long term contract for the best deal, I believe the lowest price is £22-24 per month for a 12 month contract. Why would you want to pay that when you could go to gym group that is cheaper and much cleaner and better or pay a little bit more to join snap fitness for actual quality?
Negative experience: Good
Fantastic experience: Love it
Fantastic experience: Great place, gym is very spacious pool is excellent with steam room, sauna & jacuzzi
Negative experience: First of all I will say the staff are all really lovely and polite and much better than when I was at the gym around 4 years ago. Unfortunately the gym is absolutely rammed with teenagers who aren’t actually doing anything other than sat on their phones or flirting with other teenagers. The music and playlist is dreadful! I’ve never known the music to be as loud as it is, personally I don’t think constant drill playing in the background is good for anyone and you definitely can’t hear your own music which is annoying. Machines are constantly broke, the lat machine has been broken for a fair few years now which is ridiculous! I’ve stopped using the pool area due to dirty damaged floor and a random hose just lying on the floor with cold water coming out plus the jacuzzi and steam were broken. I appreciate it’s a cheap gym buts it’s beyond the point. I think myself and a lot of other adults will be leaving soon if all of this carries on.
Negative experience: 服务员很冷淡,卫生不干净,只有会员卡和零售项目。有一个游泳池,一个很小的桑拿蒸房间,一个很小的圆形脉冲热水池,四个人就能装满。设备一般。教练还不错。
Positive experience: Had a great sauna session!
Fantastic experience: Great facilities and friendly staff
Negative experience: The only problem i have with this place is it is crowded and you end up waiting. Noticed this during the peak hours as that’s the hours I can make use of.
Negative experience: The staff are very helpful but the gym is overcrowded with large groups of teenagers. I visited the gym today and every peace of equipment was been used. I have been a member her for months and month every month something is either broke or not working properly.
Negative experience: Week 4 of no heating and no hot water…
Negative experience: Steam room was out of use for nearly 6 weeks, then followed by Jacuzzi Hot Spa broke for over 8 weeks still not fixed, lately the Main Boiler has broken down in Late November. No Hot Water in Showers (ICE COLD SHOWER'S ONLY) Snowing - 2'c outside, Swimming Pool out of Action because water is Cold, Along with loose and Broken tiles around changing rooms and Pool area, sand at the bottom of swimming pool and Noticed Two Cleaners only they cover a full week. Showers area not clean, they Smell and Rubbish scattered around changing areas and in the shower cubicles. NOT Good!! Takes over 6-8 weeks for things to be Repaired in there. Yes Cheap but if you got No Hot water, and things broken, which you can't use the Facilities your paying for then what is the Point!! Staff are all Great, But Not a Good Gym.. noticed people have Cancelled their Memberships because everything Explained!! Am Not Happy at all. :-(
Fantastic experience: Functional gym with relatively new equipment, the whole interior could do with a face lift but suppose it’s meant to look that way considering it was an old cinema
Negative experience: Been trying to ring for over 6 months and never had an answer from them!
Fantastic experience: Viewed the place looks a great place to work out great lay out friendly staff will defo be joining
Positive experience: Only been the once but was impressed by the look and space
Fantastic experience: Excellent
Positive experience: Pretty busy its only a Monday but managed to get to machines and weights as and when I needed them. Over all pretty clean and not so expensive.
Positive experience: Really good Really good
Fantastic experience: Great little room
Negative experience: I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone I cancelled my membership last month and send them required prove of Id and month later they send me email saying that I missed my payment. Ridiculous and dishonest.
Positive experience: Really nice staff, good kit. Could do with more people putting their kit away! Ended up cancelling my membership due to how ridiculously busy the gym gets through the week from about January-March. Working out becomes near impossible unless you're able to go in the middle of the day.
Negative experience: Went to swim today, pool says max 10 people which is too many anyway but there were 15 in the pool lots of kids no chance of swimming lengths, 5 people sat in side of pool waiting and 2 more in the changing room, no social distancing and staff said they can’t do anything except ask people to wait. Membership cancelled as not the 1st time there’s been no social distancing, I’ve had to get out the pool previously
