Fantastic experience: The staff at Nuffield are lovely and helpful and the gym is clean and very spacious, never have to wait long to use a piece of equipment.
Negative experience: Terrible experience with billing and customer service. -Charged after officially canceling my membership. -Extra charge last month with no explanation. -Overcharged for my child’s membership despite being quoted a lower price. -Initially almost charged double, with no apology just dismissed as a “mistake.” Contacted them multiple times, but they ignored my emails, failed to resolve the issue, and refused to provide the manager’s contact details. Extremely disappointing and unprofessional service. Will be escalating further.

Fantastic experience: Nuffield Kingston is a great gym with great spa facilities. The gym members have great etiquette and are very friendly. The sauna and jacuzzi are very spacious and clean. The staff are great and a special thanks goes to Nathen Harris who has great charisma and goes above and beyond to help members feel welcome and at home! All in all, would highly recommend!

Positive experience: I visited Nuffield Health gym for the first time couple days ago and I’m beyond impressed! From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming and made me feel completely at ease. The facility is spotless and well-maintained, with a modern design that’s both inviting and functional. Negative experience: This was a much better members gym when I joined. Now, as you enter, the cafe area has an overcrowded community centre feel to it. The classes are ok. The pool is frequently overcrowded. The overall cleanliness and, in particular, the toilets and showers need attention. I find it difficult to critique the staff as I would not want to work here, but they could be a lot more hospitable. The vibe is that they dislike the patrons? I will not be renewing my membership.

Negative experience: I’ve been a member of Nuffield Health Gym for a year now, and I have to say the gym itself is great. The facilities are well-maintained, and they offer a good variety of equipment, and fitness classes making it an excellent space to work out. However, my experience has been overshadowed by the unwelcoming attitude of some of the staff members. While a few are friendly and helpful, the majority are quite rude and dismissive, which makes the overall atmosphere less pleasant. Additionally, I’ve experienced a level of discrimination as a hijabi. Some staff members have given me unwelcoming and judgmental looks, which I find troubling in a professional and inclusive environment. There is one staff member (wont mention her name) in particular who, every time I pass in front of her, gives me a look filled with disdain. She consistently ignores me, even turning her head away whenever she sees me as if she doesn’t want to acknowledge my presence or engage in any conversation. This behavior is both hurtful and disappointing, especially in a space that should be welcoming and inclusive to all. It’s disheartening to feel uncomfortable while trying to focus on my fitness goals. I hope the management takes note of these issues and works on improving staff behavior to ensure all members feel respected and welcomed

Fantastic experience: Both my children have learnt to swim at Nuffield, Kingston. They have both made incredible progress and have become brilliant swimmers. The swim school is run brilliantly by Sharon and a small team of swimming teachers who have been there for several years. The teaching team are fantastic. They work so well with children of all ages in terms of building their confidence and gaining their trust whilst also challenging them and ensuring they make excellent progress.

Negative experience: After losing my job and having to move away I cancelled my direct debit as I couldn’t afford it and don’t live there anymore. Now being chased for a month’s membership as I should have given my notice in writing. Real customer centric policies.

Negative experience: One of the males shower and the only spin dryer have been broken for a long time, we had to queue for taking a shower, and yet the blonde lady was complaining the boys took too long to shower and was threatening to shut the door at 10 o'clock square ♂️. Would rate 1 star if weren't for the rest of the crew being pretty cool.

Negative experience: I’ve been disappointed with the maintenance at Nuffield. The centrifuge for wringing out laundry has been broken for months, and the Jacuzzi frequently breaks down. For £90 per month, the service should be much better. I’ve decided to switch to a different gym.

Negative experience: We were members for two days. Gym looks great but the classes are always completely full, crèche was nearly impossible for us to use (only open 9:30-12:30 and you have to book by phone and hope they have openings), machines were frequently full requiring us to wait. We were sold on the ease of it but not told or even given the fine print. And the staff, with the exception of initial sign up, were very rude and absolutely not understanding. Not for us.

Negative experience: Needs a refurb. Changing rooms are awful, not baby friendly at all. Told to change my baby on the floor because there was an accident with a little one rolling off the grid benches in there. Also freezing cold in there which isn’t great when getting out of the pool. All just very dated which you don’t want when paying a substantial amount for a membership.

Fantastic experience: All my 3 children learned how to swim with Sharon and her team. My children enjoyed their lessons and we were always met with consideration and empathy. Sharon had an open ear for my concerns and we had great dialogs over the past 10 years. Helen has been a fantastic teacher for us and we can’t recommend Sharon and her team highly enough.

Fantastic experience: The main reason I did join the gym was the swimming school, and particularly the training head Sharon Coxx , very professional , transparent , supportive & approachable , after a long phone call I was convinced she really knows what she is doing and I signed up although I had a very competitive offer from another gym

Negative experience: Unprofessional team, made a complaint back in November 23, yet not received an update or a call from managements to discuss , my details was sent to an agency to collect found that was already paid, again no apology received, gym floor is full of dust, all you get is an email to confirm that there will be an increase on their monthly membership.

Positive experience: If you are thinking of joining because you want to take classes (Zumba, body combat, body pump, etc), this is not the place for you. Popular classes are always full within minutes from coming online, including full waiting list. It's clear the gym is oversubscribed and didn't factor in class demand when taking on more and more members I've given up on the classes and just do my own HIIT workout now. If you're happy with just the gym and pool, no classes, then great gym.

Negative experience: Shameless crooks. Avoid at all costs. They will continue to charge you once your contract is up and then threaten you when you don't pay. The people running this place should be ashamed of themselves.

Negative experience: Honestly I never thought I would have to come here to write a bad review about a gym I’ve loved for so long. I’ve been member on and off Nuffield Gym for years and recently I have been having some health problems which has lead me to having to go to my home country for 2 months and a half for treatment. I’ve got in contact with the Membership Team at the Kingston upon Thames branch trying to freeze my membership for this period as I am leaving for such a long time and need to save every penny I can. The team has been nothing but horrible, 0 customer service skills, no empathy whatsoever, extremely forceful and a lack in any sort of humanitarian behaviour. For a company that deems to care about ‘Health’ I’ve never been less cared for. You can read that again. My health issue in question is causing such a stir in my life and my mental health, my issue is such a personal thing to me and to my family which I do not wish to disclose with my gym provider. I have reached out with my flight tickets explaining the situation and asking for my membership to be frozen, I’ve received a very dry email saying that this wasn’t enough ‘proof’ of my illness and I needed to send letters from doctors to state that I am in fact sick, which to me is in fact so extremely disrespectful, invasive and an inadequate policy for a ‘health provider’ to request. I shouldn’t have to explain my personal life nor disclose my private health with my gym provider, I do not want whoever it is behind the desk to know about my health problems, and I did not want to be having to explain myself in such a manner to unknown people in such a delicate situation. Making ill members having back to back forceful emails simply to get a membership frozen, which should be a given right of ANY of your member anyway, is unacceptable, it has made me extremely anxious and it has affected quite a bit my mental health as these emails have been going on for some time, I have asked them multiple times to put me in touch with head office and they continue to ignore this request. I have now in fact got a letter from my GP which I had to pay for - again, sick member having to fly out for 3 months trying to save money, but because of your lack of human touch and outraged policies I was forced to do it. Since sending the letter, the Memberships Team has ignored my emails, no confirmation of freezing my membership and no comms at all, again I asked this to be escalated and nothings been done. Its just rude at this point and its making me so anxious about the whole situation.. I wanted to enjoy the gym this month before heading to treatment but I just feel so uncomfortable walking in there at all I feel vulnerable, violated and disrespected - as a health provider I really just wanted some understanding for my situation, not to feel attacked and for this to have been an easy and hassle free process - with so many flexible competitors you guys have, making it so hard for a sick patient to freeze their membership for treatment is just not a good strategy guys. I feel sick just thinking about walking in that gym again and I clearly know that you guys do NOT care about your member’s health and wellbeing, as I did mentioned MULTIPLE times in my emails how this whole thing was effecting me and nothing was done, to be honest I was left to feel like I was doing something wrong by requesting a freeze. Just not right.
Negative experience: Extremely poor service received! Continuing to take payment months after leaving, even though I joined and was told I’d been cancelled immediately (due to only being in the UK a matter of weeks) and as advised and supposedly actioned by one of senior team. Phoned and now had to visit again, still no one willing to take ownership, speak with me / email or support in anyway to resolve this. Now having to pursue through alternative channels to get membership cancelled and ~£250 refunded. Not what I expected from this company & brand.
Negative experience: Not a gym anymore. Basically a playground / daycare. Far too many children under 16 in the actual gym- pool is small and the jacuzzi has been out of order for the best part of two years. Not worth paying a membership for. Day pass is £20 if you really want to go. Would avoid as too many children.

Negative experience: Today I’ve experienced unacceptable behavior from the manager at Kingston Nuffield. I went to the reception with a problem I wanted to discuss with a manager. In first place, not only my problem wasn’t solved or she tried to apologize for all the stress I had, but I also faced absolutely rude and unprofessional attitude from her side. Secondly, she denied to acknowledge that my problem was cause by untrained and poorly informed staff members. Instead I felt humiliated because all the conversation was quite high pitched and took place right in front of my child. Instead of understanding and help I was expecting to get, I was sent to read terms and conditions on my own. Hope that someone who truly cares about members and their business will take it into consideration and provide a good training for the staff and especially for the management.

Positive experience: The membership onboarding experience was shocking. From the first day, these are a summary of the issues...spelt name incorrectly in system, got told to NOT DOWNLOAD THE APP several times until an activation email was sent. No email sent after a few days, called to be told it would take up to 5 days and booked classes over the phone. Went in for my 1st class, got told it would take up to 10 days to receive and email, not 5 and to call a number...erm sorry why should I call to resolve for a £90 per month membership. Was given a card in the meantime. Went in the next day to my 2nd class, membership card did not work and got told it's because I hadn't paid for the joining fee, asked to sort out after my class to be told "no, I had to pay before I could go through" ...turns out it's my fault the sales person didn't take my joining fee!!! Had a stand off with an insanely obnoxious guy, who eventually let me through after I threatened to cancel my new membership (bear in mind I called and already went to a class and was never told there was an issue). Thankfully when I came out the class he wasn't there and Ella and Kerry were, they were super helpful. They listened to the issues and everything was reasonably resolved straight away...what lovely and awesome women! Turns out activation email didn't come through because I was a member at another Nuffield about 10years ago and my details hadn't been removed from system. In case anyone was a previous member rejoining, don't listen to someone saying don't download the app. Everyone seems lovely, there were just a couple of individuals who were rude and let Nuffield down.

Negative experience: Joined recently via my company's scheme, So far unable to get into more than 1 class a week as they are booked up at 7am 8 days ahead so actually more dificult than a GP appointment. Attempted to get an induction for the Gym - had first one cancelled 1 hour beforehand and the second one cancelled after I had turned up, by a frankly rude personal trainer who was clearly prioritising her paying clients over new new Gym members, who blamed reception staff for not ringing to cancel she had booked with me herself. So thus far I am paying for very expensive membership of a swimming pool and considering cancellation.

Positive experience: I joined the gym 3 weeks ago and I didnt received any email regarding the gym App so that I could make bookings for group classes . Most of the group classes are very popular. There was however a very polite girl at at the reception, who was extremely helpful and willing to finally listen to my personal issues. .She sent the right email to theIT and I am happy that everything concerning my gym account as well as and App were finally sort out after 3 weeks of waiting.

Negative experience: A year ago my wife gave birth to our son, but she had frozen her membership in that period . I was in the gym and she wasn't allowed with the baby to wait for me in coffee shop. She had to wait outside in freezing weather with our one month old son . Yesterday , she was there and she asked our son's food (bought from Sainsbury's downstairs ) to be heated but they refused as it wasnt safe to microwave food from outside. Overall, the customer service there is awful, that's why I moved to their branch in Surbiton. The staff there is much more customer focused than in Kingston
Negative experience: The customer service is non existent. You will pay £90 a month + £ circa 50 sign up fee. The front desk does not accept cash even for a bottle of water . I went there, mid workout , not feeling well and not having my card on me. I tried to buy WATER and explained I dont feel well. I met with a shrug of shoulders and told , we dont accept cash sorry. If you dknt feel well feel free to leave. Furthermore, if you amiss a month's payment , you will be given to debt collection AT THE END OF THAT SAME MONTH. The steam room is unusable 'it stinks of fungi and mold, yet after countless complaints its still never cleared. avoid AT ALL COSTS!

Negative experience: Trying to get refund for a membership I never used. It was cancelled the second day I signed up. Been well over a month now and I still didn’t get the money back. Their customer service is zero to none.
Fantastic experience: As a new member who's had two two-hour sessions in the past couple of days, I'm really liking this gym. It's quiet around 8pm, with only about 10% equipment in use more so on weights then on cardio equipment, but still plenty of space. I tried a Pilates class for the first time, easily booking it on the same night with a few spots still available. The instructor, Femina, was excellent. I'm definitely planning to do it again. The swimming pool was also quiet. I swam in my own lane for half an hour. The Jacuzzi was full, and the sauna and steam room were little busy but still had room and I didn't need to wait to use them. The showers are clean and well-maintained. Additionally, every staff member I've interacted with has been helpful and polite. From my point of view there are only a couple of things that could be better. The gym and studio temperatures felt a bit too warm, and the dressing room could really use more bench space to avoid crowding. While I've noticed some one star reviews, I think they overlook the hard work of the young, perhaps underpaid staff who keep this place clean and functional, which I genuinely appreciate. Overall, while it might be more of a 4.5 star experience, I'm giving it 5 stars to balance out the overly negative reviews. The positives here definitely outweigh the minor issues.

Negative experience: Staff are completely uninterested. I joined and basically just got my pass and walked in, no interest from the front desk to show me around as per the welcome email. Nasty rough towels that barely dry you. Lots of teenagers occupying all equipment at peak hours. Female changing rooms are a constant swarm of naked kids. Including in the so-called adult area. Filthy floors and very slippery. Overcrowded pool in the evening with no clear rules or respect. Actual children as lifeguards chatting amongst themselves with zero supervision of the pool. All the interesting classes are mid day, targeting the Kingston stay at home moms. The worst cappuccino in the cafe.

Negative experience: This gym is a dangerous accident waiting to happen! Never before have I seen such a flagrant disregard for health and safety in a gym environment. Groups of children as young as 12, running around the gym floor totally unsupervised. Not a single staff member to be seen. Children lifting heavy weights above their heads, completely unsafe and unsuitable for their age and strength. Equipment is impossible to get onto due to groups of young teenagers taking over the place. I cannot believe the staff allow this to happen. HSE/ Kingston Council should be made aware of significant safety breaches. This gym is dangerously understaffed and unfit for children to use equipment unsupervised. I spoke to a member of staff about this but he just shrugged his shoulders and did nothing.

Negative experience: They should rebrand this place to Nuffield Teenagers’ Social Club. Have recently started using this site after work and the atmosphere is appalling. Groups of teenagers take over the gym floor, with little regard for anyone else. They stand around in large groups, often on the gym equipment but not actually using it. They just prevent others from doing so. I was informed that the free weights area is not for under 16s, but I regularly observe young children in there unsupervised. Gym staff never challenge their behaviour. There seems to be a total disregard for health and safety as children clearly rule the roost. Whose idea was it to let children train (often in their school PE kit uniforms) unsupervised in an adult gym? A massive fail for Nuffield here.

Positive experience: This gym has a decent variety of equipment . However the fee is too overpriced compared to most other gyms and it is usually overcrowded ,especially after school in the evening . The loud music in the gym also gets on my nerves .Moreover the cancellation policy is the worst as you have to let them know in months in advance

Negative experience: Staff are great. But company doesn't give a damn about its customers. The air conditioning has broken down for 3 months now through the heat of the summer. No action to repair. Temperatures are unbearable. Worse, there is no oxygen, making it extremely difficult and for some, a danger to health to exercise. Not staff's fault. Steve Gray CEO clearly isn't running this business effectively - his level of distain for paying customers is staggering. He's created a culture of hiding which has poisoned the corporate team...not even a telephone number for the HQ here for example!. I'm guessing this business enjoys financial relief based on certain assurances and service levels in the community. Clearly these promises have been broken. Hard working staff in the gyms have to keep giving excuses as to why there's no air conditioning, broken equipment, and disrepair, when Steve Gray, Amanda Lambert COO and the team do nothing to resolve. 60yrs to build this business - 8 years to ruin it under one incompetent leadership tenure.
Negative experience: RUDE STAFF I’ve now had a bad experience with two of the members of staff both tall men horrible and patronising when I asked simple questions. Put me off ever coming to the gym.

Negative experience: *** Don't waste your money on this*** The staff, the gym, the service is an absolute disgrace. I waited over 15 minutes to be seen to at the front desk for an introduction to this gym. In that time 3 members of staff ignored me completely. When I finally for seen and for an introduction the person just whizzed through everything as they had been pulled from lunch. Apparently food more important than customer service and satisfaction. I wasn't shown where the lockers, spoken to about any of the classes I could attend. Nothing!!!!! Really would not recommend you wasting your hard earned money on this gym. It's really not worth it!!!!!!

Negative experience: The gym has become a kids after school club. It’s a complete joke. Swarms of 12-15 year old running around unattended not using equipment properly. I had to stop a young bloke dropping a weight on his head. They take up all the equipment and loiter around. PLEASE STOP THIS PRACTICE!! There is a reason 99.9% of gyms do not allow children in unsupervised

Negative experience: Booked online for a 5pm tour as we were interested in joining. Turned up for the tour and the guy on reception was pretty unwelcoming. He asked for ID and then told us to sit down and we then waited 20 mins with no update (even though he could see us waiting). At 5:20 someone finally came over (no apology), and said the guy that does membership tours had gone home so they could show us round but couldn’t give us any membership / pricing info. When we asked why he’d gone home despite taking our booking, the lady said “well he’s been here since 8am!”. Decided to leave and not bother with the tour if that’s how they treat potential members. I wouldn’t waste your time with this place.

Negative experience: Changing room was wet and my 5 years old was slipped over so she being injured , her head was beeninjured, when I was complained it to stuff they told me what can I do!? That to rude, most of stuff are rude and not care of you . Of course stuff must clean and dry changing room to avoid such accidents . Stuff so rude sp especially the lady who is working in bar wearing glasses and is short is really rude and bad attitude . Negative experience: This gym is a joke! It has now become an after school kids’ club. Between 3pm and 6pm the gym is basically unusable as swarms of young teenagers take over the gym and behave like…well like kids. Management do not care. The atmosphere is terrible. Why did they think it is a good idea to turn an adult gym into a kid friendly zone? The kids’ gym etiquette is non existent. Lots of play fighting, messing about, hogging machines and generally the place is like a school playground. Don’t join this gym. It is rubbish. Management don’t care. They just take your money.

Negative experience: This gym is a disgrace. I did a free trial a while back, and they started charging £1 for an extra towel, and let me tell you that they aren't nice and fluffy. The towels at this gym are small, crusty, scratchy and have been bleached within an inch of their life. Not to mention it could actually be perceived as discriminative to charge £1 for an extra towel, because generally speaking, women have longer hair than the majority of men, and you need an extra towel to dry longer hair after washing. To charge a £1 fee for an extra towel on top of a £90 monthly membership is blatant robbery, a complete rip off, and it is shameful that they think this is acceptable. The changing rooms are grotty and grimy and in desperate need of an uplift, the floor is always wet (likely due to women not wanting to be penalised and pay a fee for an extra towel to dry their hair). I decided not to proceed with a membership at this gym and gave my feedback to management who couldn't care less. Some advice: Get some new towels because your crusty towels are vile, stop charging for an extra towel, and think about the message you're putting out to your customers - essentially, that women have to pay more to use your gym and facilities. Absolutely disgusting and shameful. Avoid this gym, overpriced and a complete joke. It was a lovely gym when it was Virgin, Virgin gyms are 1000 times better than these jokers. The place should be closed and replaced with a company who actually care about their customers who without, they wouldn't have a business in the first place.

The managers don’t seem to care and it has been this way for a while now as we have experienced a few incidents. The Surbiton branch seems to get it right with the staff as they are all so polite and helpful so its just shocking that kingston can get it this wrong.

Negative experience: Should have read the reviews before I join the gym. They could not care less about the members. I took my daughters to swimming today and found out my combination padlock did not work. I went to reception to borrow a lock. They said they are not longer to lend lock to members now. Clearly, they have spare locks and just don't want to help. While my two daughters are already in the pool, I was really sad. You do pay for what you get. I used to have a membership of another gym in the area for 5 years. They are a bit more expensive but they really take care of their members. Please make the right decision to leave this gym.

Negative experience: If only there was an option to leave no stars. I’ve been a member for over a year now and it’s been beset with issues. No jacuzzi (only recently fixed) no steam room (part always seems to be delayed) as of writing no hot water for two days (but this seems to be an issue that comes up every so often) leaking roof which rendered some exercise machines out of action, exercise machines switched off to save power at busy times all the while where they still charge you FULL price membership. I didn’t want to write this post but I can never seem to get through to a manager and they always leave front reception staff who have no idea what’s happening (not their fault). You’ll notice no one from Nuffield comes here to respond to any of these complaints which says it all

Negative experience: I've been a member of Nuffield Kingston on a annual rolling contract for three years. I was allowed to freeze my membership when I'm on vacation past three years. (i go on vacation max twice.) I was told this year that I cannot freeze the membership due to company policy. I called 4 different Nuffield branches in London and asked sales assistants if i can freeze my membership when I'm on vacation and they all told me "YES". When I shared this with Kingston management, I've been told to cancel my contract, they have to follow company policy. (which I did cancel my annual contract.) Anyone, who signs an annual contract with Kingston Nuffield should be aware that you make a commitment of 11 months for the price of 12 months!

Negative experience: Unfortunately I went there as guest today (30/oct/22) and I left feeling angry, upset and confused as to why I was treated so poorly. I had my two little kids which we had planned to use the soft play with their cousin (who was a member). The reception lady from this morning (around 11am) said me and my kids will need to be a member (something which the last time I visited was never mentioned). My sister in law also mentioned she had brought other guests and it was never been an issue before. Nevertheless I assumed it may have been an error last few times. I then asked if we could use the guest passes we had. At this point this lady, simply looked me in the eye and moved across the table and served other customers. Honestly I was so shocked at the obvious rudeness. I then asked her again and she said I could use the pass and gave me a bunch of prices for entry. Naturally, I asked what is the purpose of the guest pass then? To which she replied I will get my manager. To be honest I was even shocked at this response as i believed we were having a conversation to find a resolution either way. The Manager came along and said we could use the facilities free of charge using the guest pass. I then expressed my complain to the manager when another gentleman interrupted and said he heard the reception lady answer me, I have to be honest I wanted to carryon the conversation as at this point he just called me a liar to my face and the fact this gentleman was also no where in sight when we were having the conversation. However I dropped it as I had two small children with me and as most can agree you pick your battles but I could not forget. Whilst the reception lady was 50% correct however she obviously had decided she did not want to help us and instead wanted to charge us on top of the guest pass for sake of lack of knowledge or simply being unprofessional and passive aggressive. The other gentleman seemed like he wanted to start a fight which he was not a part of (also very unprofessional as I had no business with him) and the manager just didn’t seem to care for either side. I appreciate I am not a member however it is unthinkable why this lady would think that was an appropriate way to have a conversation, ghosting visitors, ignoring them, giving incorrect information and having very little patience to have a basic conversation considering she is the first face you see when you walk in. Unfortunately, everything escalated so quickly from her end that I do wonder if there a was racist intent as well (I am Iranian by ethnicity). I also do not appreciate being called a liar by someone who was never involved and was not even asked for their opinion. The situation only de-escalated because I dropped it not because the staff or the manager deemed it appropriate to carry out the appropriate customer service and defuse it. Instead they ganged up. For the record I had planned to join the swimming classes so my kids and their cousins can have swimming together , of course I will not be doing that now. I dread to think how members are treated once locked in I have sent my complaint to customer services and would be interested to see if they are a little more interested in their staff behaviour than the manager was.

Negative experience: If you’re thinking of joining this gym I would advise you read this first. They are money hungry, once you sign up they put no effort into giving you a proper induction of the gym. The cleanliness in there is shocking, thick dust in the main workout area, same rubbish in the lockers day after day, hair in the shower drains and just a sticky and musty feeling in the changing rooms. Definitely not reflecting the price point of the membership. The customer service is shocking, not only from the Kingston branch but also from the main complaints head office. (Don’t expect them to reply to you unless they chase you for money). Not much floor space to work out in as the gym is so overcrowded even in non peak times. Very little ventilation. And not many weights available too. Pool area has not been changed since the establishment was Esporta so feels dingy. Also showers leak from the ceiling so who knows if that water is clean. Changing rooms always have children there even after 7pm and so full that it gives you no space to get changed. (only one enclosed changing room). Even if you complain they don’t try and resolve the issues or accomodate you as a customer.

Fantastic experience: I love this gym for all the facilities it has. The soft play is perfect on rainy Sundays with my toddler and a swim after. Gym has decent equipment. Never had any issues with staff. I find everyone who works there very pleasant. Especially Kurt and Lucas. Friendly faces I look forward to seeing when I go :)

Positive experience: Gym has good Technogym equipment that’s obviously not enough for the large amount of active members. If you want to train properly with reduced queue time then go after 8pm, before that the feeling is more of a nursery than a gym. As other users have stated, the gym is full with families during the day and specially after school time, with lots of babies and toddlers crying and bumping around uncontrollably. Yes, there are “adults only” areas mixed with the others, which means you don’t get to actually notice a difference. There are group classes during peak hours that take up most of the available floor space -and very loud trainers. Weekends are open to younger people who play with the equipment at their please with little to none supervision. The gym has way too many cardio machine that tend to be empty the majority of the time. Make a better use of the space and incorporate more leg press/hip thrust/benches/cables, there’s no hack squat and the only smith machine is most of the time occupied by guys doing bench/shoulder press. The gym ask for feedback every year, which seems to be an automated process that NO ONE checks or gets accounted for.

Positive experience: It's a decent club if you live nearby. However, the spa area isn't great. Can be filled with kids. The Physio Rianne is absolutely a star and been fantastic for me. It's a decent club.

Negative experience: Alright, staff looked homeless though
Negative experience: The gym has a great pool area with steam room, sauna and spa. The cardio area dominates the gym floor. Its the free weight area that lets the gym down. Its very cramped. If your interested in weight training this gym is not for you.

Negative experience: This gym has good facilities but is terribly run. Im a student and have tried to cancel my membership temporarily four times, in person. Every single time, when i phone up to restart my membership, it turns out to have never been cancelled and they’d been charging me the whole time. Brought some friends here a few years ago on guest passes only to find out the following month whoever was behind reception had registered them all as new members and i had been charged seven sets of membership fees. They previously tried to block of the entire pool to paying members because of an elderly aquarobics class. The staff are friendly but i’m not happy with the membership management. The gym is too hot, the A/C is barely ever on, potentially to cut costs? The gym equipment such as the abductor and adductor are uneven, meaning one leg is always working more than the other. I’ve also seen members of staff smoking in the plant room in the swimming pool, not nice to smell cigarette smoke in the pool let alone health and safety implications. Have also seen lifeguards eating yogurt at the poolside whilst on duty, highly unprofessional. Too many members and badly managed in my opinion
Negative experience: Disgusting procedures and experience at Nuffield Kingston. All they are interested in is your taking your money and can't care any less about anything else. Complained a few times regarding various aspects and nothing gets done, management isn't interested in any way. I won't ever be stepping foot anywhere near any Nuffield and don't recommend the group to anyone. Not in any way worth the membership cost and when you want to cancel, they make it extremely difficult. There is nowhere in your account the option to cancel your membership. Coincidence? Definitely not.

Positive experience: Not bad at all for a local commercial gym. As a dad it’s awesome as they have a soft play area and crèche for my son. The pool and cafe means that on rainy days this can be a one stop shop for all the families needs! The gym has a sled track too which is great.
Negative experience: Money grabbers, tried to dig their lil dirty fingers deep into my wallet when I tried to cancel.

Positive experience: Great place
Positive experience: The facility as staff are very attentive however the with the induction process for new members as well as some sort of 3 to 6 months 5 to 10 minute refresher sessions, members should be encourage, instructed to exercise proper gym etiquitte as in returning equipment as well as putting weights and equipment away properly showing courtesy to the next user .
Fantastic experience: Excellent health and fitness club. The swimming pool is 25 metres long and always clean and well maintained. Feels very covid safe in club and changing rooms. Hope they manage to remain a viable business and ride the storm of current restrictions and health concerns.
Negative experience: They offer too many swimming clases on their timetable. There is only 1 bodypump or zumba class daily! If you want to book any class, you need to book 8 days prior at 7am and the chances of getting a place in the class, as it is a hit and miss, are pretty low. I have been with Nuffield for 2 months and I have been able to book 2 clases during this period, 1 class per month is ridiculous.
Fantastic experience: I've been a member for many years, Patrick Close has been my PT for a long time. He is very dedicated and passionate about his work. Patrick has made me very confident in deadlifts, free weights and given me confidence to challenge my fitness. He is very driven and motivated to his work. He feels accomplished to see the transformation he has made on his clients.Thank you Patrick for all your help to make me a strong person, and I enjoyed all my sessions with you.

Fantastic experience: This place is great and one of the best Nuffield health gyms I've visited. The staff and PTs are extremely friendly and always happy to help. The gym is very clean and well facilitated and has a great atmosphere.
Fantastic experience: Been training here when it was virgin,but since the change to nuffield its fantastic, they have just had a completely new refit and its brilliant, staff and trainers always friendly and helpful.pool and sauna ,steam room and jacuzzi great after your work out,and perfect above sainsbury's get your shopping done to
Negative experience: Not to reccomend for people with small children. You are not allowed to take the buggy inside even if there is a sleeping baby in it, in addition you must be inside to supervise your other children in the softplay. Never experienced such strange rules before.
