Our comment from FitFit UK about Harrow Leisure Centre:

Harrow Leisure Centre is a widely recognized venue situated in Harrow, United Kingdom, offering a variety of sports and recreational activities suitable for all ages. The centre boasts excellent facilities such as two swimming pools, a spacious gym, a sauna, and steam rooms, catering to a diverse range of fitness needs.

Many visitors appreciate the excellent swimming pool and consistent public swimming sessions available. The centre also features a well-equipped gym and offers an array of fitness classes, making it an attractive option for locals looking to stay active. Additionally, the outdoor space is a great place for events and activities, with ample parking available for convenience.

However, several reviews highlight significant concerns regarding hygiene and customer service. Issues have been raised about the cleanliness of the changing rooms, pool area, and overall maintenance, with some users describing the facilities as dirty or poorly maintained. Customer service also appears to be a recurring problem, with complaints about the unprofessional and rude attitude of some staff members negatively affecting the overall experience.

Despite these challenges, many long-time members continue to value the centre for its affordable membership, which includes access to the gym, classes, and swimming facilities. It is recommended that visitors keep in mind the mixed reviews and proceed with caution, but overall, Harrow Leisure Centre maintains a loyal customer base who appreciate the range of activities available.

Harrow Leisure Centre: Opinions

Negative experience: They are not helpful at all. I have problem with my membership, i cant book sessions online, i spoke with membership team, lady was stupid rude and cut the call off. So unprofessional. I got 2nd membership online for my son, that is ok. Over all experience is not good. No discount for students.

Negative experience: I’ve just been today Sunday 23.02.2025 for swimming and I had horrible experience ,the lady at the counter was super rude ,just wanted to ask her a question if I need to stay in the queue and she answered very rude ,,and what you want me to do “ this is not the way to speak with customers she don’t have respect

Negative experience: Worst customer service, rude staff

Abbas Alibhai 8 months ago

Negative experience: I had an unfortunate experience at Harrow Leisure Centre, where I encountered staff members whose behavior came across as unwelcoming and unprofessional. Their demeanor made me feel uncomfortable and unsafe, which is highly concerning. Due to this experience, I will be avoiding this facility in the future. I hope management takes steps to address such issues to ensure a welcoming and secure environment for all visitors.

Negative experience: The most dirtiest, unclean not even 1% of hygiene in this place most of people who come here they have never heard about shower and they don’t know the difference between changing room and toilets. It is really really really disgusting whoever cares about their hygiene I advise them not even to touch the doors of this place. The prisons in Syria are cleaner than this swimming pool I don’t know if it can be even called swimming pool it should be called toilet pool.

Fantastic experience: Great venue! Spacious, and useful kitchen facilities provided. The toilets are regularly checked, and cleaned. There is also great outdoor space (however, it is slightly exposed to the public). Oversell, great place to hold events! Definitely recommend!

Negative experience: I wish I could give them no star. The level of customer service is horrible. Can't clean the services properly.

Fraz Haider 9 months ago

Negative experience: The place is let down by the management. Horrible customer service, dirty services, charging people for the period the services were closed. This is completely unprofessional.

Negative experience: Poor customer service and don't clean services. The horrible management.

Negative experience: Dec 2024 - Poor cleaning. Mold in the main gym running area + upstairs Mens showers. See the videos as proof. Not cleaned for weeks so it spreads and dangerous for those with sensitivity or lung issues. And you breathe this in as your work out.

Rushab Shah 10 months ago

Negative experience: Absolutely horrible facilities. Place has rubbish throughout the centre. Not been cleaned, and feels like a prison. It reeks of urine as well. The staff are extremely unfriendly and rude too - did not expect this from Everyone Active

Fantastic experience: Gym, swim, steam room, sauna..... Cant think pf a better way to spend the day

Negative experience: Quite poor. Need quite a bit of investment. Gym users need education on gym etiquette. If you want a gym where people wear gloves and belts for no reason then this is the one for you!! ;))

Fantastic experience: Harrow Leisure Centre is a great place to work out and enjoy some badminton/ squash with friends! Those are the two I usually play however there are many others sports to choose from using the “Everyone Active” mobile app.

Fantastic experience: First time back to swimming after long disability. The young lady on reception was so kind and patient and the staff in the pool/changing area so kind too. The place was spotless. Will be coming back every week. This has been such a game changer. Thank you!

Positive experience: Booking via App was easy. Nice pool. sauna & steam room available for members or can pay as you go. Reasonable changing and shower facility. 3 hours free parking

Negative experience: Ordered a cup of tea in cafe whilst waiting for my son. Server didn’t seem to know what I meant. I didn’t want herbal tea or green tea, just a normal cup of tea. This confused her even though is a very basic cafe, nothing fancy about it. She found a black tea and served it but seemed offended when I asked for milk. She told me ‘we don’t normally give milk with these teas’. I repeated again that I just wanted normal tea, not herbal or green tea, and it’s normal to have milk in tea. She kept arguing that it wasn’t. She did grudgingly give me milk but whole thing was a weird and off putting experience.

Positive experience: The swimming pool has opened now, but I'm a bit disappointed with the customer service staff. Also we are missing good instructors.

Fantastic experience: I recently visited the Harrow Leisure Centre in Harrow, London after refurbishment and was thoroughly impressed. The centre boasts two swimming pools, a well-equipped gym and a spa. The facilities are impeccably maintained, ensuring a clean and pleasant environment for all visitors. What stood out the most was the staff’s friendliness and professionalism. They were always ready to assist and made the experience even more enjoyable. Whether you’re looking to swim, work out, or relax, this leisure centre offers everything you need. Highly recommended for anyone in the area!

Mrs Brown 11 months ago

Negative experience: Other than the main receptionist who was polite, poor customer service from behind the desk! Swimming pool dirty. Hair floating in the water and rock bits at the bottom of the pool. Changing rooms are grotty. Cancelled all my swim sessions for the rest of the week, will continue with the other VA gym I'm used to.

Mona Sanghvi 11 months ago

Negative experience: I have paid for swimming lessons they take 2 months in advance plus joining fee and then very next month they take another month in advance saying when you leave membership we give you last month free. But its not free they take the money one in advance (Dec payment taken out on 1st Nov) and keep us in dilemma showing we paid for current month and not for the coming month. Its a big misguiding in payment structure so be alert everyone.

Sandi Hirani 11 months ago

Fantastic experience: Lovely clean gym! Good cardio facilities, free wifi in the gym itself.. they have all sorts of classes throughout the day from yoga, spin, pilates to body pump and zumba! The instructors are very experienced and professional. Well worth it for £30 quid a month! You also get 3 hours of free parking. So no excuse to workout!.

Fantastic experience: It's a great leisure centre with many facilities and most you'd expect from a leisure centre. Many communities and businesses hire the halls.

Fabio Brondi 1 year ago

Negative experience: I went swimming a few times here before the roof repairs started. The showers were boiling hot and there is no way to control the temperatures, the changing room floors were fithy, and once there was a clump of hair floating in the pool which was pretty gross.

Radu Cozma 1 year ago

Negative experience: Disgusting place and unprofessional staff which I had enough of. I have become a member in February and in May they closed the leisure centre for refurbishment without any notice. When I ask them after 1 month of being closed how long it’s gone take the answer was “we don’t even start on it, we dont know we it will start the refurbishment so therefore we don’t know when it will be ready!!” On top of that I sent 2 enquiries to cancel my membership and never get a reply back. Today I was there to see what’s going on and the staff said simply “cancel your direct debit from your bank , we don’t reply to enquiries!!” Disgusting everything in that place!!!

Fantastic experience: Nice courts. A large hall split between 10 courts. Easy parking. Make sure you get a ticket through pay-by-phone. Court 1 is right by the doors and you get stupid people walking right through the court during a game!

Negative experience: I had booked a badminton session for that time slot, and there were four people participating: me, my wife, my son, and my friend. As usual, we did some warm-ups, practiced, and played games. Midway through our session, the day duty manager and a lady approached us on the court. He looked intimidating and was holding a very long red screwdriver. Given recent confrontations with the HLC staff regarding the coaching ban, I was immediately concerned for our safety. Since my 12-year-old son was with us, my first instinct was to protect my family by standing in front of them. He accused us of conducting a coaching session. I explained briefly that I was practicing with my son and wife, which I believed was allowed based on previous responses from different HLC staff members. However, he kept insisting that coaching was not allowed, and I noticed his face start to turn red. I feared he might use the screwdriver to attack us, so I continued to stand between him and my family, asking him to step away from the court to avoid any harm. Eventually, he left but soon returned, asking who had booked the court. Desperate for him to leave, I told him to check the system himself and repeatedly asked him to leave the court. He refused to move, and I signaled my family to distance themselves from him while my friend and I tried to remain calm. The lady with him went outside to check for him. While she was away, he pointed the screwdriver at us, which terrified us. Fortunately, someone called him on his walkie-talkie, and he stepped aside to answer it. After the call, he continued to accuse us of booking the court under a false name, but in reality, the court was booked under my son's name. After several more exchanges, he finally left us alone. Not recommend anyone to go there.

Negative experience: I visited this gym for the first time today. They have an issue with their system and can’t manage gym pass so they have to let you in manually. This wouldn’t be a big deal if they had staff consistently manning the turnstyle entrance upstairs but they don’t, and you are left waiting around until someone shows up to let you in. To make matters worse, the manager (Richard) at the gym upstairs is rude, aggressive and completely unprofessional. I witnessed him shouting at a man even though the man was completely calm. His conduct was unacceptable and I have never seen a staff member at a gym behave this way. Please provide Richard with some training on how to speak to customers in a professional and calm way. His behaviour was embarrassing! This has put me off using this gym.

Negative experience: The venue is fine but the parking management is shameful. They handed out parking tickets to disabled parking despite signs stating it was free. They had no empathy for the people, only saw it as an opportunity to make money

Negative experience: been there this morning Someone has managed to clear the weds and filty from the steps at the entrance iv ben going to the gym here about a year In that time the carpet tiles in the gym have never been steam cleaned .The same filthy stains in the common walkway near the stair climbers by the rubbish bins When I asked the cleaner this morning he just laughed and said "One man does that and it wont be done till after the election" it hasnt ben done in a year Clean the place The black edging on the stairs from the ground floor to the first floor in all steps have crumbled and broke Im surprised no one has been hurt on this The arrows and parking bays in the car park need to be remarked Is it a one way system or what Who knows

Vaughn Pretorius 1 year ago

Negative experience: The pool is closed for the foreseeable future due to disrepair. There is nothing online stating that the pool is closed nor any notice on the website. There is a small sign on the reception saying sorry for the inconvenience. The staff were very unhelpful.

karaev 81 1 year ago

Negative experience: If u want to feel humiliated then this centre is the place to be.Starting at the reception where the waiting time is huuuuuuge...no one actually cares about that. Changing rooms are nothing short of a public toilet when they're clean....you don't really wanna be there otherwise. If god forbid something gets broken....well...well...that's when the fun starts:))) Steam room took three months to get fixed....and pls be aware that back in'69 we had people walking on the moon and it took them less than 3 months to get there. Honestly speaking this PUBLIC TOILET should be demolished asap...and most of the staff fired...i said most not all. I could literally write a horror book about this place.... Don't take my word for it....be my guest and see for yourself.

Negative experience: I am absolutely gutted that Stephanie's zumba class has been taken away. She was by far the best zumba teacher there and one of the most popular classes going. Membership being cancelled because of this and will be going elsewhere where she teaches. I also have a couple of people that will be cancelling their membership due to this. Also the toilets are a disgrace and never cleaned there was poo on the seat. Some people at the desk are not friendly at all. Thanks

Negative experience: One thing Everyone Active is not very active with here, is their hygiene levels, customer service and general maintenance... I used to be a member for years until covid came and my membership was cancelled... I didn't rejoin as I decided to go about my fitness some other way. But now that I am considering going back to it, and I have had a recent visit to this centre, I now remember all the issues that I used to come across on a regular basis but now it's even worse, dirty and smelly changing rooms, very poor hygiene especially in the wet facilities (toilets, showers, pool area), broken equipment which never or rarely gets fixed, poor lighting, stale smelling air and generally very unhygienic and run down place. It also doesn't help that staff more often than not, look overworked, miserable and sound abrupt and dismissive with an unhelpful manner. Smiles and warmth are in very short supply in this place... The very opposite of outstanding customer service... It would be much better to bulldozer this place and build a new one in its place, which I thought was the plan according to Harrow council, some time ago... Also hiring front-end staff that actually really does want to be there and make a positive difference. I really DO NOT recommend this place.

Carmen roman 1 year ago

Negative experience: Verry unhappy with the service offered. The pool changing side is verry dirty. The reception staff verry unhelpfull, they are sending you to ask for help on the online app saying they cant do anything to help at the desk over and over,no matter what you ask them. Also most of the swiming coaches are not right trained for that position they have or they didnt receive enough training. Becoming like a waste of money the membership.

DEEPTI JAIN 1 year ago

Negative experience: The staff at reception is highly rude and not supportive. They operate various other outside clubs as well and it looks a chaos when you have to get the entry to those areas. They are not receptive to feedback at all and always respond rudely and are least bothered. The facilities are decent but if they can work on their staff, that would be great!

Gemma Arnett 1 year ago

Negative experience: Dirty and grubby place. Changing rooms are absolutely rotten. The poolside looks like something from World War 1 and the mould would make any jungle jealous. Visited today and wouldn’t wish the experience on anyone.

Negative experience: This place has to be one of the saddest stories, i grew up coming here and the quality and standard of this place has dropped completely. I wish they would invest some money in fixing the place with new equipment.

Negative experience: I attended the gym for the first time at Harrow leisure and I left straight away! It was extremely crowded, no spare machines, not the cleanest! Cancelled my membership straight away, waste of money

Kari 1 year ago

Negative experience: Very dirty & cold chaining & poolside area. Our first time & we first extremely grossed out about the experience. Grubby floors, outdoor shoes allowed to be warn throughout changing areas. Dirty plasters & hair seen around poolside. It seems a renovation may be due. T Even tiling seen to be falling off. The actual pools themselves seem a great size & space with so much potential, it's such a shame. I'm sure this place was lovely when it first opened. Lastly, some of the staff seem to need further training. I asked a simple question about pool their rules (being new to UK public swimming pools) & the response I was given was a shrug & "don't know", like I was inconveniencing her by even asking. This staff member seemed to be standing around the entire time appearing to be doing nothing. Only one staff member seemed kind & supportive, although she seemed to know very little English, so it was a little confusing. Hopefully they will look into retraining their staff, do some much needed renovations & regular checks when it comes to all around cleaning of the facility. Until then, unfortunately this will be our first & last visit to this pool.

Negative experience: I have been a member for many years now but it’s getting worse the service is appalling. Steams broken down since December still not fixed no one tells you the truth . You have to queue up sometimes for 10 minutes to get wristbands why can’t it be faster if you book online still you need to wait. Staffs can be more helpful but they not every time you go there seems like you not welcome by any staffs member hair in the showers cubicles disgusting and dirty please please sort it out make sauna and steams wristbands faster leave it on the front so everyone can scan and walk in

Negative experience: I’d like to preface this review by saying I’m not the type of person to write negative reviews however this one time I will make an exception. I grew up using Harrow Leisure Centre for all sorts, sports, events, gym etc. the state of it today is absolutely shocking. 8 out of 10 staff is incredibly rude and absolutely useless. When you need something at the reception they very rarely actually solve the issue. The gates at the front don’t work. And there’s a tall white male named Rory who is so miserable all the time it puts you off even speaking to him whenever you need something. My membership ends soon and I definitely don’t wish to continue staying there. As of now I wouldn’t recommend anyone to come here. They need major changes to win back myself and hundreds of old customers who left due to the poor management

Emanuel Danut 1 year ago

Positive experience: Too crowded (both gyms ) the power rooms are to small if 10 people are present is already full .In terms of equipment is not that varied neither

Negative experience: I went to gym this morning was disappointed group of three guys looked old and one guy was bit younger in the gym not really working out but talking to put people off and perving at others saying that your not allowed to sweat at the gym I found them to be quite rude they put me off and I found it quite predgadice of them to be going to the gym to bully people

Samrat Mitra 1 year ago

Negative experience: My son was booked in for a stage 3 set of classes as he was in stage 3 in Hatchend and the class was supposedly at 11. As expected we were there and the class was fully booked so I was asked to check at the reception which I did only to find out my son was asked to join the others in the water. Upon confirming from the reception that the next class was 11:30 the teacher asked him to come out, all wet and take showers for 20 minutes to wait for the next class! To make matters worse, the next teacher was incredibly abrupt and rude to me and my son when indicating that my son needed to be in stage2. Finally the management refused the refund of the botched class asking me and my son to wait for another 1.5 hours to get in a stage 2 class! I can only say the reception guy was helpful but the one before and the trainer needs an attitude adjustment and possibly a hip replacement( she wasn’t even getting in the water with the kids to teach them). Well, no choice now but to get on with it as the money is paid up. Sadly.

Negative experience: Total Rip off I joined my daughter for gym membership at harrow leisure centre. Due to some online issues the joining fee was charged thrice on my account. I have been chasing Harrow leisure centre for the refund since then.I have emailed everyone active as well with the screen shot of the payments taken from my account but haven’t got any satisfactory answer or my refund back. It has been more than 4 months now and I am now thinking to cancel the membership and take legal actions against the centre. Total rip off

Rika pegasiou 1 year ago

Negative experience: I have been going to this centre for nearly a decade, and despite some minor refurbishments of the upper & lower gym areas, the rest of the centre is sub standard. By this, I mean it is absolutely filthy! Pool area, showers, the lower floor gym has ripped bench presses that stink because sweat has seeped into them. Broken equipment etc. Inconsiderate members leave sweat, dumbells, weights ,empty bottles and tissues everywhere. You cannot get onto any fitness class as there is a core group of members who pay a priority fee to have early access to the class booking system a week prior to everyone else. (it's been like this for 10 years) There is a wait list that is regularly full (20 people) so it's like trying to find a unicorn when wanting to book onto a class. Despite these immense deficits to the centre, there are many P.T's there that are an absolute credit to the facility, particularly DANIEL HARROD who helped me lose 30kgs and become addicted to strength training. If it were not for the entire P.T. teams dedication and passion for what they do, I wouldn't go to this gym. It's a shame as it's lack of funding and maintenance would make any HMS facility look like a swanky gym.

Negative experience: I am absolutely nauseated from the pools of the leisure centre, The person at the front desk was rude, unprofessional and clueless but eventually I was let in after 25 minutes of arguing back and fourth, the changing rooms, toilets and showers were absolutely horrendous, the floors were sticky with stains that I don’t even want to know what they are, I even saw rats crawling in the toilets and I even saw a rat taking a shower using someone else’s body wash, the pool was crowded and uncomfortably warm, i could have sworn that I also saw a small brown log floating around in the pool water, and to make it even worse, there were body hairs in the pool as well, every appliance is always broken and I am still waiting for a refund, the council should do something about this because now I have athletes foot

Negative experience: Positive : Cheap gym membership which includes access to gym, classes, Swimming etc. Negative : Very dirty, not just the gym, the swimming pool is horrible. I was shocked to see so much dirt and slimy floor. I wonder how often ( if it all) they clean it. There’s also loads of teenagers shouting and jumping inside the pool and the staff doesn’t seem to do much about it.

Negative experience: The two receptionists are some of the most unhelpful, and clueless people I’ve ever met. Especially the guy with glasses who mumbles at me behind the glass screen with a blank expression as if I’m meant to know what he’s saying. He shouldn’t be anywhere near a customer service job. We’ve come for a badminton session, and asked to hire the rackets and shuttlecock, and we’ve been told that we must instead BUY 2 rackets for £17 each, when equipment such as tennis rackets, and even the shuttlecocks, are right there behind them, and available to be hired. They offered no help whatsoever and sat there staring at us, offering no other solution except to move the booking to another day, and go out and buy our own equipment. Horrible. They seemed to be completely unaware of the concept of hiring equipment.

Negative experience: Farhaan the person on reception was extremely rude and hostile. He claimed that my information was not on the system. Which meant that i could not gain access to the gym and made me wait over 1 hour to see another member of staff, Only to find out that my name was on the system but he didn't bother to check. He purposely made me wait 1 hour when he could have dealt with the situation straight away. Rory another member of staff was very helpful and dealt with the issue immediately. Farhaan seriously needs to go on a training course on how to treat customers with respect. The one star is solely for Rory. If it wasn't for him I would have left and never returned. I am now going to make a formal complaint. I am absolutely disgusting with how I was treated. Date of experience: 01 September 2023

Positive experience: As others have mentioned, shower and changing area for the pool not very clean. Also no lanes available during the day, so if you want to swim for exercise you're out of luck if you can't swim in the early morning or late evening. Gym areas are good, and membership price is reasonable.

Negative experience: Absolutely disgusting. It's unbelievable how dirty this place is. This is just not acceptable. The saunas seem to never be cleaned. It stinks everywhere. Toilets are dirty and the smell is everywhere because the toilet is open space with changing room and lockers and the smell goes to the swimming area as well. People walk with street shoes near pool area.

Fantastic experience: This is a great venue for sporting events. Loads of parking (using PayByPhone app) and their WiFi speed is 18mb upload which is fine for my live streaming at HD resolution.

Paul N 2 years ago

Positive experience: Havent been there in over a year but sad that things haven't been updated. Front desk young man barely audible and couldn't give me a £1 coin for the locker. Nice that the gym wasn't over crowded but it a little jazzing up would be nice. Large plants give off oxygen and look nice. With the Government sucking locals dry while councils put more money into speed cameras they forget the people who pay their wages.

Latif 2 years ago

Negative experience: Rude staff and unhygienic facilities. * The front desk was unorganised with misinformation on how to book for public swimming but eventually we were allowed in * The swimming instructors are rude, unprofessional, and they made my family fell insecure with their abuse * A swimming instructor later snatched a swimming float of me and yelled in my face “this doesn’t belong to you!”. They should not be teaching children with their poor behaviour * I am not returning to this branch after suffering from athlete’s foot due to their unhygienic changing room and swimming pools. To conclude, I strongly recommend to be cautious or completely avoid this branch. Hope the senior management will acknowledge this review and reflect upon it!

Fantastic experience: It has been my gym for years I like the gym equipment in the gym and group classes. Spa facilities like steam and sauna are perfect for winding down. Friendly staff all year round. I have not tried out the swimming pool so can't comment on this. But I would suggest if the woman changing area can be improved downstairs and match up to the men changing rooms. Studio 1 and 2 improve the floors if possible. Thanks for reading.

Fantastic experience: Afria at Harrow Leisure was a huge help to my mum today. You don't get many staff members like this but she totally has. Thanks Arifa for really going out of your way to help me. Nirmala Chauhan

Positive experience: Dirty floors as always. Showers are super hot

Mada Energie.25 2 years ago

Negative experience: I am very disappointed from the point of view of cleanliness and security in the men's changing room, dry changing room, many children who smoke in the changing room, who force customers' lockers to steal various things , plus many fitness machines are destroyed and left in the gym, they are not even replaced with good ones.dear people who want to subscribe to this leisure center, go and check absolutely all the details starting from fitness machines to cleaning services and others, because there are many minuses and I was disappointed.

Positive experience: Very affordable prices with various discounts for pretty much everyone, 3 hours of FREE parking, but You MUST use the app and register Your vehicle. Please be aware people who live around here take advantage of this and sometimes it is mission impossible to park there even if You are a member. 2 gyms, sauna, steam room, swimming pool. All this You can use with standard membership for circa 30 quid / months. The gyms and their changing areas are well equipped, nice and You can use them whenever You want (in the opening hours). On the other hand when we are talking about the water facilities (swimming pool, steam room & sauna) it is not simple. They have a specific timetable for them in paper form and in the Everyone Active app. Sometimes they not show the same, it csn be confusing because of the various different swimming classes and confusing sauna & steam room schedule. Sometimes only females can use them!! I was tempted to give a 5* rating, because altogether their service package is good and affordable. But it happens quite often on Saturdays (after cleaning) they forget to turn on the sauna & steam room and You must use it in cold temperature. And happened more then once they forget to let members know they closed the swimming pool sauna & steam room because of an event, such as Swim Gala etc. So You traveled there for nothing...

Positive experience: Pot luck on Badminton courts many are not brilliant eg court 5 and 1 lighting is poor. Some net have been replaced so ok Can get very hot

Negative experience: Can't seem to find anybody prices advertised for anything. Parking a big problem too at certain times of the day andv evening. Not well lit car park. Reception not always helpful and quite a big queue most of the time

Negative experience: The manager tamim didn’t allow us to swim due to some issues with a different group of people from our age two weeks before and when we told him that it wasn’t us he proceeded to say and I quote “ I’m discriminating against ur age group and I’m using u lot to send a message that, that behavior is unacceptable” using us when we’ve done nothing is unacceptable unprofessional and a abuse of power. Do not recommend at all

Negative experience: Swim school has gone down the drain. The teachers are terrible. One such example is Marylin - she is extremely mean to children and needs to show some patience.

Positive experience: I just began my membership at the centre and I must say my first week is disappointing so far. In the swimming pool area there is never a mens locker available as apparently people are taking the keys home. Also the sauna and steaming rooms have some stupidly schedule where every day there is a 2 hours window where only women are allowed inside even though the price is the same for both mens and women which I find it unfair.

Negative experience: Went for 1 day free trial and waited 15 mins sat in reception as if I was setting up a mortgage to be told they can’t sign me up in the centre, you have to wait 2 or more days for an email from head office just for 1 day in the gym, everything about this place is old and backwards and looked empty, every other gym I’ve been to signs you up on the spot

Fantastic experience: Super place with all facilities to keep fit & active. Unfortunately, we could not sign up as new members as nobody was available to sign us even after waiting for more than an hour . We will try again in the new year.

Positive experience: Nice place went for a competition, its amazing that it's big but once your changed in the dry changing room you have to walk through the whole building

Chiggy 2 years ago

Negative experience: Great staff and good facilities but unfortunately there have been multiple incidents where I have been unable to use the facilities I pay for because the car park is full due to hired events. As a paying customer I am deeply disappointed with this. The membership is not cheap and therefore members should be given the highest priority.

Fantastic experience: Excellent facilities and well trained staff. Customers are wusses though, 5 vs 1 staff member how they let him whoop them

Positive experience: Quite Old, outdated, Very small, cramped reception area. Pool had a good viewing gallery. Lifeguards were distracted, talking to each other from across the chairs, and one of them had his phone in his pocket. Large, 33 meter pool.

Fantastic experience: It was wonderful and delightful to playing Garba and Dandiya at HLC. we went with all friends and we all enjoyed. we have been coming from last couple of years and we find it best place to play dandiya in London. we have an experienced worst and tiny places. but this one is spacious, friendly and family oriented place.

Negative experience: The water in this place needs to be fixed. The shower water is extremely hot and the drinking water is warm. It’s not nice to drink warm water during exercise and then showering in a extra hot water. Please look into the water Temperature.

Positive experience: Often use the steam room and sauna here. A good leisure centre with many activities accessible to partake in. A good swimming pool which is well staffed and maintained. The staff are quite friendly and helpful and the prices are reasonable.

Rebecca Campbell 3 years ago

Negative experience: Attended today with my daughter. And I must say the pool area is n desperate need of a refurbishment. When we walked into the swimming changing rooms we were greeted by a horrible smell of urine, tiles were dirty. Walked through to the pool chairs are broken and taped up, lifeguard was rude and pool side is also very smelly. Would not be attending Harrow leisure centre until everyone active decides to refurb the centre.

Negative experience: Absolutely dire response from the team that mans the phone line for the gym or swimming school membership. Despite leaving more than 5 separate messages on their useless voicemail over several months nobody ever returns a call and it’s next to impossible to get through to them. When I visit the leisure centre they’re happy to spend their time chatting amongst themselves.

Negative experience: Team is not trained enough on how to respond to client's enquiry. I wanted to freeze my auto debit as I cant go for swimming sessions. I asked reception at the guy, he said its possible, we will charge GBP 5 and it will be freeze and once you return inform us back, we will enable auto debit. I sent message to their team to do the same, they replied Not possible. Its ridiculous, if I cant come to centre for few months, you still have to pay where reception guy at leisure centre said something else. Biggest mistake to join Harrow centre where team has no clue what they respond to clients. Also when I joined this membership, admin guy Masum told me I can freeze auto debit if I am travelling and that's why I joined. But now they are playing around and charging me every month despite I can go to their centre.

Fantastic experience: I enjoy using the swimming pool regularly. Great that they have a lot of public swimming sessions every day. Free parking in a large car park for 3 hours, just make sure to get a ticket validated at the machine or on a parking app
