Positive experience: Hi, my name is Jason Warner, and although I was unable to share my view, both positive and negative, about the Blaby Westfield Hotel on Google Maps, I was only able to give a short review; I wanted to give you an in-depth review of my stay at Blaby Westfield hotel. Initially, my review would have been positive - the staff seemed friendly and helpful, and my room was of a good standard - nice, relaxing bath, tea and coffee-making facilities available in the room, and a decent size TV to watch TV. Further into my state and on a continued basis the staff here soon reluctant to help I've asked for bin bags this has been ignored I tried to call the hotel using the mobile number on the sign at the front of the hotel reception and for some reason it wasn't connecting. I've sent text messages to try and see if I can get someone to clean my room and a hoover, even if I do the cleaning myself as it needs doing. I have no products and no money to get cleaning products so I'd have to use the hotels cleaning products to clean the room myself. I'm aware that there are other guests in the hotel and this isn't a problem however it is awkward if I'm trying to get sleep and there are guests slamming doors, screaming and shouting just outside my window, outside and along the corridors often laughing, joking, chatting and swearing - so I feel sorry for those who may have children nearby. The TV in my room although of decent quality bass level is stuck on very high and there is no option to change the base level down often making TV programs very very loud, there is no option to alter this and the treble and general volume levels as when I have it at volume number 7 - it feels like it is at level 50 there is not an option of fully function button that can turn the volume down and I feel there should be options to turn the volume down or the bass level as when I'm watching certain programs it is very loud and the volume and sound become tinny. Have the bath panels fixed in place as I've had a small injury on my foot whilst getting out of the bath on the loose bath panel in the photo as provided, it might not be important for other people but to me things like that matter as when I'm getting into and out of the bath or shower, it really should be fixed in place and repaired. Staff at the hotel should answer requests that the radiator is not fully functioning it is lukewarm at best. This makes things very difficult when drying towels to use for several days in a row because the housekeeper isn't available I've asked several times can somebody clean my room and I was advised the housekeeping is closed someone will clean your room tomorrow I've been forced to take my towels to be washed at my friend's house at extra cost otherwise I'll be left with towels that are damp and smell.

Negative experience: BYER BEWARE!! DONT BOOK THIS HOTEL It doesn't deserve even 1 star Emailed less the 18 hrs before we were due to check in to say due to maintenance our rooms had been cancelled. Expedia who we booked through were contact after the hotel failed to call us back as promised and they even chinned off Expedia!!! Well thankfully we dodged this bullet as the awful room reviews had scared the stuffing out off us. Expedia even gave a small amount of compensation due to the more expensive hotel we had to subsequently book The hotels staff weren't professional or helpful at all they don't deserve the 1 star they need closed down!!

Negative experience: Do not book this hotel. Rooms cancelled less than 24 notice. No customer service. Two to three days before you can get a refund. Awful service.

Positive experience: Basic and low cost accomodation

Negative experience: Just stayed here for a night. We waited for a while for an employee to show up at the front desk, they had a phone number to call for help which they didnt answer. I can see they are refurbishing the hotel and parts are under construction. The room we had was quiet but uncomfortable, the beds were stiff and the pillows sucked. The bathroom at 1st looked clean but further inspection we found the trash wasnt emptied and behind the toilet was gross.

Negative experience: DO NOT STAY HERE ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS I ACTUALLY FEARED FOR MY LIFE THEY HAVE A MASTER KEY FOR EVERYONE SO ANYONE CAN GET INTO YOUR ROOM we got the wrong room number and went into someone else room we spoke to the receptionist they said this was a one of and maintenance was currently sorting this issue and would be half hour but we didnt trust this something just didnt seem right and didnt feel right for two women to stay here this then left us without anywhere to stay because we are not from this area so we slept in the car AND THE WHOLE PLACE JUST NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN!! AND I ACTUALLY THINK THIS IS FOR PEOPLE OF THE BOAT.. the place is scary the swimming pool was has been abandoned with furniture in it its like tiktok abandoned buildings this is scary and no way is it worth 97.00 a night do not do it you may get to 1 am and not be alive its like a horror movie.

Fantastic experience: Pleasant stay on this hotel, no breakfast was the only thing, not really a problem as you can get something on the close by small town. The room was fine, double bed was pretty comfortable, sleep quality was also good as it is nice and quiet. TV was a little small compared to most hotels now. WiFi was very good, I like the nice large bath too, plus shower. So overall a good stay here.

Negative experience: Omg... Shocking behaviour by the rude arrogant owner Patel who cannot barely speak proper English. Absolutely diabolical service and environment. Mrs Patel even assaulted a female. Horrendous experience. AVOID AT ALL COST unless your happy to be treated awfully!

Negative experience: This place is housing immigrants watch the video on YouTube the owners turn nasty when they are found out

Negative experience: Very aggressive owners housing Asylum Seekers paid for by tax payers. They think they can dictate to British members of the public. They are on youtube and the rudest bunch you've ever seen

Negative experience: Booked this room on behalf of my daughter a couple of weeks ago and was very disappointed with her comments about the hotel. Room stunk of marijuana, and no staff on at all. Housekeeping did not clean the room, no clean towels, dirty bed sheets left. Would not recommend nor book again! Absolutely disgusted!

Fantastic experience: Lovely rooms with comfortable beds, clean and nice decor. Good shower pressure and heat. Super friendly staff and great hearty breakfast. Safe parking (just remember to give the staff your number plate). Just a skip away from Blaby Town centre, so nice and calm at night and in the morning, but all the conveniences and night life you might want when staying in a smaller town. On a more personal note, very close to my grandma's retirement home, so great for a family visit. Thank-you to everyone here for making us very welcome :D

Negative experience: Checked in and paid for the 3 Days we were going to stay. The experience was not friendly and I felt like I should not be there. The rooms are down a walkway separate from the check in desk. The room was a shambles and has a nasty smell. I decided to leave the same evening and at check out, the owner came to try talking me out of leaving. When I stood firm he said he was charging me for 2 nights because of their 48hr cancellation policy, what? I was just so ready to leave I ran out and I suggest you do the same. Leicester Marriott is cheaper and way better. RUN!!

Negative experience: It's full of migrants that the UK government stuck them in and I'm paying and so are you if you live in the UK

Positive experience: We were pleasantly surprised having read some of the reviews. Our room was in the Annexe, we paid an extra £2 for a larger room and it was well worth it. The room was clean and comfortable. There seems to be some ongoing updating if some of the "tired" parts of the building. There is ample parking and the location is central to shops, pubs and restaurants. For business meetings the location is good as you avoid driving into a busy Leicester city centre.

Positive experience: Good place to stay for a reasonable price. Parking is good, rooms clean and function well. Location is quiet but close to shops ect. A few miles from the city but feels rural.

Positive experience: Hotel looks in need of painting, but the room we had was perfect for our 1 night visiting,and even suitable for a longer stay. Room was spotless, and had all we needed including tea and coffee.

Positive experience: Stayed here 20 years ago after a family wedding and it was a fab hotel. Sadly its gone downhill. Room ok but all needs updating. Bathroom - Window frame needs painting, new blinds. Mirror lights rusting.Bath rusty. Beds comfortable, room clean. Clean towels. Shower good but bath slippy, had to use towel to stand on in shower. Free WiFi, plenty of parking. Bar & restaurant not open. Gym & pool not open. Had to wait for someone to unlock the front door to let us in, not welcoming. No one about when we checked out. Would have been happy to pay more if the hotel was updated. Location good.

Negative experience: The owners are nice people but the hotel badly needs some maintenance. Pity it has gone down!

Negative experience: Not very well maintained, scruffy appearance, 2 pieces of toilet paper in the toilet, I will not visit here again.

Positive experience: It's a good hotel for the price, the room and decor is no better and no worse than your normal premier Inn. The bathrooms are a bit dated and could do with an update however. The corridor areas could also do with a refresh, the wall paper was peeling off the wall. I'd give it 4 stars if the price was a bit more reflective.

Positive experience: Feels like they're having a little trouble after lockdown (front door locked, staff not on site) having said that rooms and hotel clean, manager polite and helpful. Glad we stayed and hopefully helping to get the hotel back on track.

Positive experience: Check-in process slightly confusing due to covid, just need to put a notice on main door telling you were to go. Overall the room was clean and tidy and well equipped with hairdryer and and iron. Quiet location

Positive experience: We stayed at Westfield House hotel last weekend and found it to be a good quality budget hotel. The rooms were clean and well presented, the bed was comfy and the staff were helpful. The decorative standard was ok, however given the price it was exactly what I expected. There is a small bar and seating in reception for a drink if you want one. Slightly strange but the reastuarant on site only opens Mon-Thursday I believe, but there are plenty of places to eat and drink in the local area if you visit when the restaurant is shut. All in all a great place to get your head down for a good price. Would definitely use next time we visit our friends locally.

Positive experience: Hotel was reasonably priced and good for what I paid, I slept very well partially due to the quiet location, the room was similar in size to what you would expect in a Premier Inn. There were a few issues unfortunately. Most of the plug sockets in my friend's room didn't work, the shower head in my rooms shower looked like it needed a good clean.. Or replaced. In my friend's room we found a pair of boxer shorts but behind the couch when we were looking for extra sockets. His card stopped working twice for the door.

Negative experience: Held a wake in the restaurant. When paid up front I asked about features in the room. Everything I wanted was said to be there. On the day they were not available. When I asked I was told abruptly that I asked the wrong person. Also I was paying the bar bill and was told at the start that I would be told when it got close to my £100 limit. I was not told and when I went to pay the bill was £250! The same guy said he didnt say that and it included the 3 bottles of sparkling wine and tea and filter coffee (£2 each). Blah, blah. Part of the bill was pints of IPA at £4.50 a pint, on special. There were half pints of IPA at £4, not on special. I shall never go near this hotel again. They are unprofessional and completely money grabbing. No wish to do a good job so they get repeat business.

Positive experience: The rooms are nice but the beer is shocking! The beer was cloudy with lumps floating in it. In desperate need of a line clean on the bar.... infected lines can make you really bad! But overall stay was nice. The rooms clean and well equipped do need to just tidy the walls up a bit with peeling wall paper in bar and hallways too.
