Negative experience: Absolutely worst gym and staff i experienced. I highly DO NOT recommend this gym in Huntington site. Small space- counter staff no knowledge with offers & membership explanation. Now i am unable even to cancel membership as requesting proof of everything as actual police. In general ladies and gents- dont fall for small prices, as its simply not worth it!

Fantastic experience: Staff are always helpful and friendly. Spotlessly clean. Good facilities.

Positive experience: Definitely can recommend this facility, gym is first class and the swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna are all amazing

Positive experience: OK but not great as some of the younger staff obviously don't really want to be there and would rather sit on there phones than speak to customers.

Fantastic experience: I've been a member for about a year and been in about 5 times I must try harder!, The pool is a nice size lovely atmosphere nice rooms to the side of it sauna etc. The gym is also a good size,it's not a posers gym it's one that anyone young,old, man or woman it's got everything you need. The ladies on the desk are great,very helpful and always smiling (there maybe men there as well but I've not met them yet). Ideal location way to get to and plenty of parking

Negative experience: Due to health reasons I have had to cancel my membership after only my first visit using their facilities. They have been deducting for the first two month of no use. I then requested to freeze my subscription until I was deemed fit again this option was declined by them. I then handed my doctors medical letter which they had requested. They approved the letter but they demanded I pay a further £10 for membership cancellation which I paid whilst surrendering my membership card. They have now added debt to my account which is increasing every month currently £50 even though I had given one months notice as per the contract. When querying it with the head office they have come back and said I need to give another one months notice and pay everything in full. Please avoid this scamming gym as they are only after your money. Watch dog needs to look into this gym. Seems I am not the only one who is banging their head on the brick wall because of poor management. Another customer lost.

Negative experience: The staff and club itself is not the issue. I have tried to cancel my membership and been ignored via email and phone. They have now added debt to my account even though I have Given one months notice as per the contract. When querying it with the head office they have come back and said I need to give one months notice - it is not my fault they failed to acknowledge the month I have already given. They asked me to log on to my account and pay it on there and then they will cancel it and for the sake of just wanting to get this done and dusted, I tried to log on and I got an error message that I couldn’t access the page. I was also told to get this done before the 8th or considerable debt will be added. No one will answer the phone, saying no one is available or the wait time is 150 minutes even though I called them at 9:01 and they open at 9:00. Truly upsetting considering the reason I am cancelling is to save money due to the increased cost of living. Please review your cancellation procedure!!

Positive experience: Generally a nice gym with access to a pool. Its rather small but they've got a good layout to provide a good number of equipment. I've been a few times now and they have a good selection of machines, cardio equptiment and free weights. However, everytime I visit there is at least 3 or 4 different machines/cardio out of order. The sound system and TVs don't work so you have to ensure you bring your phone etc if you want something to keep you distracted. I do wish the pool was bigger. You can only have 3 or 4 people lane swimming at a time and the length is smaller than the widths in a standard pool. Its always clean, the staff are always friendly and polite. They don't make you feel bad coming to the gym when you're not a very physically fit person and other gym goers don't spend their time giving you dirty looks. All in all, it's good for what you pay but a little more investment into the equipment and pool could make it even better.

Fantastic experience: Excellent facilities, most times I go I can get to use the equipment I want. If I can't then there are alternatives I can do.

Positive experience: Having just joined, so far, it is great value for money. I haven't tried a class yet but am enjoying the gym and pool. The staff are very helpful.

Fantastic experience: Been going for the past 2 months has all you need, friendly staff, gym is kept clean & tidy, machines are in good condition, pool and sauna a nice extra. Just wish they would sort out a decent playlist on the sound system.

Positive experience: Good Gym overall, and the monthly membership is very reasonable. My main gripe are the kid's swimming lessons, it's only a small swimming pool and they put on so many lessons for kids half the time you go for a swim and find the pool packed with screaming kids...

Negative experience: I have been having issues with this gym for a while about a cancellation from 3 years ago that was 100% cancelled, when going into the gym the staff didnt seem to care about what i was saying and pretty much swept what i said under the rug and where very rude in my eyes.

Negative experience: Poorly trained staff. Poor management. Poor leadership. Equipment constantly broken including being denied access to drinking water. (pre covid) Head office are a joke and don't help out the local managers who try to make amends for mistakes made by the club.

Fantastic experience: Really good gym with good choice of cardio machines and weights section, best thing about this gym for me personally is that the Sauna and Swimming pool are in the same area which is really handy and the main reason I chose to go to Sports Direct Gym.

Negative experience: Worst gym I’ve ever joined, awful hygiene

Negative experience: Personal trainers take up so much space that you can get your own workout done. No row machine or abdominal machine. Punchbag is often missing and its up to members to find and reattach.

Positive experience: Never been to a gym before had my own stuff at home chose this one as cheapest in the Huntingdon area, at the end of the day free weights don't break and there isn't anything you can't do with them that you get from a fancy machine, clearly states on sign up (only on the cheapest membership) 3 month cancellation period required, I just paid a year outright no direct debit set up people that seem to be complaining in these reviews are expecting the Ritz or haven't read the terms of service.

Positive experience: Pool is ok, shame its not wider, people just didn't know how to share a non laned pool..

Fantastic experience: I love it . Location is just right. Staff is very welcome .Smiling every day, always ready to help. Gym facilities improving all the time. Pool is not Big enough but like use it. Grate place to drop few pounds.

Positive experience: Nice and friendly stuff, good price, free parking but very old equipment (only treadmills were replaced last year) and if something breaks down you have to wait months for repair.

Negative experience: Out dated and equipment is rubbish. Peak times you cannot get on equipment. If you are a temporary worker on the A14 do not join. Join elsewhere as they say you can leave anytime as your working away but then they try charge you the next six months. Better gyms in the area with better ethics to treat customers.

Positive experience: Small gym but has a nice selection of equipment from cardio machines to Assisted and free weights, including cable machines and suspension straps . There is a class studio which can be used in between classes with ceiling to floor mirrors. Has good clean showers and changing room. There are also swimming pool, sauna and tanning facilities. Easy free parking is good too

Negative experience: Facilities are very average, cleaned, but not maintained brilliantly and often there's a selection that just don't work (and take forever to be fixed). Fairly bog standard all round, and the cancellation procedure and T&C's are terrible. Much better gyms in the area - definitely recommend avoiding.

Fantastic experience: I have joined this gym after many years away from exercise and absolutely love it! Just really sorry it has taken me so long to get back. Incredibly all these years later it is much cheaper, the staff are all so friendly and helpful and the classes thus far attended have been first class. I feel the better for this and generally so much more motivated. Recommend you try for yourself and doubt if you will be disappointed.

Negative experience: Had to change my review of this place. Simply put they are a money grabbing corporate set up who don't give a monkeys about their paying customers. They ignore emails, phone calls and even angry tweets. Avoid this place with all your might because if something goes wrong, they don't give a toss.

Fantastic experience: Couldn't really ask for more, nice people and plenty of choice, oh and not forgetting the price each month

Negative experience: Staff are unprofessional, kept saying that I had to pay for the months membership they couldn’t get out of bank when there was plenty of money in bank, when I said I had enough money in bank two other staff members looked at me and started laughing secretly but I certainly noticed them, made me feel embarrassed!

Negative experience: 6 months, two dumbells missing, only two sets of 5kg waight plates and some of them are damaged, equipment in poor condition, overcrowded and noone bovers to put the weights back where they belong, locks in the locker room are damaged so you can open them even with a padlock on it.

Fantastic experience: Friendly, helpful staff. Very clean and in order, showers with good water pressure and temperature. Equipment is 95% of the time working, and for £20, I can't see why people expect more in there, it is the size it is, there's no room for more stuff. As to equipment being old, it might be, but it's still good quality equipment and functions fine. Overall, great place, awesome price.

Positive experience: Some of the equipment is looking tired due to age but functions fine. Could do with updating but for £20 a month you really can't complain. One leisure equipment is much better but it is £33.99 a month for use of the one gym and no swimming.

Negative experience: The plus point is that staff are friendly and welcoming. However, LA Fitness as an organisation disappoint. Large fees but do not deliver to basic standard: Old equipment, Audio system not working for the last 2 years. Repeatedly told by manager that it would be ready within "2 weeks" for the last 26 months. However cant get their act together. Ab crunch removed and meant to be replaced over a year ago, but no sign of providing those minimum elements. The local leisure centre charges half the amount and have way superior equipment.

Positive experience: Very disappointing - needs a refurb to replace broken tiles in the showers & damaged doors in the pool area, etc. Have been once a week for 5 weeks (Groupon deal) but due to pregnancy, can only use the pool - each time the small pool has been freezing, with people having to use the sauna to warm up

Positive experience: Would benefit from more machines. Staff are friendly.
