Fantastic experience: Great environment for a workout and swimming if you love the water.

Positive experience: Gym is alright could be bigger of course if they remove spinning room no one using it anyway...pool area and changing rooms worst I ever see in uk i live 4min away and need to drive 30 min to another pool take my kids for swim..should be shame for Leicester Leisure Centre.

Fantastic experience: This is a most sought-after leisure centre in the Thurnby and Bushby area of Leicester.

Positive experience: It's nice clean and tidy. I visited it after 14 years! It improves alots. I do recommend it to all my family members, colleagues and friends. Thumbs up!

Positive experience: Just missing a sauna for that, you get 4 stars but a decent gym, with a pool, spin room, court hire, and more. Can get busy at peak times, but I go late, so I wouldn't really know about that . Closes 10pm.

Negative experience: I cancelled my membership with them 3 months ago, and was told by the lady on the phone that it was cancelled. Anyways a few months later I saw I was being charged so I called in to check and it hadn’t been cancelled. They said that I could still use the gym and would have to come in and cancel my membership. Probably one of the longest companies I have dealt with/am still dealing with. Who doesn’t take cancellations over the phone? And I why do I even have to call back to find out a member of staff there was too incompetent to cancel it and tell me it’s cancelled when it’s not? Most members of staff there are great, but it’s just unfortunate that this has happened. It seems like they can’t do anything at all for you, so I’d suggest that If you don’t want to deal with any longevity, go to any other gym.

Positive experience: All this stars belong to staff. All staff members are amazing. No fault at all. But coming to gym, no where near to other gym. Most equipment are out dated. Only one person I see cleaning gym is Michael. He always gives his 100% to his job. One of the most rubbish showers I’ve ever witnessed. I only use this gym because of convenience and good parking. They do have amazing 5star staff. Thanks for being best.

Fantastic experience: My regular gym and Badminton court! Very use to this place. Memberships can be slightly expensive but other than that it is a very great place to go. Very accessible and easy for gym beginners to use as well.

Negative experience: What a disgusting place the whole swimming area stinks of urine. The facilities need a deep clean. The area around the pool is even worse all dirt in the grout looks like it needs jet washing I make my daughter wear crocs. Also charge you 10 extra if god forbid the dd doesn’t go through they won’t try to take the money just charge you £10 which is disgusting as a single parent in a cost of living crisis. The swimming instructors are great but the rest of the staff are rude and have no compassion. They need to invest in a cleaner. Maybe people wouldn’t mind paying the extra 10. £35 swimming lessons for my child this month right before Christmas and the woman didn’t care at all. As a single parent it’s disgusting

Fantastic experience: Good friendly staff that go out their way. Been using this leisure centre for a while now and I'm really impressed with the friendly staff. In particular I would like to mention Micheal guy for continously working hard in making sure the working environment is safe for us to train in. He takes care with his cleaning and is always doing some type of work. Micheal always makes time to come over and say hello. Makes a difference for sure

Negative experience: Nice gym with decent facilities however the receptionist on the weekend is terribly slow.

Positive experience: Recently refurbished to a good standard. It's a well used leisure centre rewarding advance planning and booking

Negative experience: Staff are great and friendly but signed up to use the gym and anytime I go, even the quite times everything is taken apart from the treadmills. Want to use a gym then go somewhere else honestly.

Negative experience: The surrounding area of swimming pool was filthy and disgusting. The locker room only has 1 shower as well.

Negative experience: Any fitness classes after 5pm are booked up very quickly so it's difficult to build a routine when it is hit and miss if you can get a class. Many people work so cannot get to say time ones. More evening and weekend classes are needed. Many class I have attended has had men standing leering through the small glass panel in the door that separates the gym weights area from the studio. I'm not talking about a quick glance ,I mean nose against glass watching...then he will go and the next man comes along. It is EXTREMELY uncomfortable. Cover up that glass panel!!? There's no need for it and needs to feel more private and secure for women

Positive experience: My son went to a basketball camp and enjoyed it.

Negative experience: I have been trying to ring reception to book my child in for swimming lessons at different times all week. 1 have been in a queue that never went down for 30 minutes each time. There must not be anyone on reception. Very poor service. This should be a council run facility for our community. This is not a good enough service being offered.

Fantastic experience: Veryfriendly team,the morning receptionist for the past three days has been fantastic works very hard has time for everyone and doesnt get flustered even though its a very busy area. All areas are clean, gym has a good range of equipment and is well maintained, pools are clean but small although 25 m, width is narrow but works well for what it is

Positive experience: This place has recently been refurbished especially the gym area. This offer great other services to local community eg. Swimming lesson ( very hard to get a place at least in my experience), tennis, other excercises with a trainer etc. It does offer free parking on site . Take extra care when using the gym especially on this pandemic time bcz people often do not clean the equipments ( leisure Centre do provide cleaning liquid and tissues) . Overall it's good place.

Fantastic experience: Tbh I take school kids there, so couldn't say what it's like inside, other than the loo, which is always clean

Negative experience: Took out a membership and after cancelling due to covid I continued to get threatening emails, phone calls and letters from them for a year afterwards which is still ongoing. This was totally unexpected from the council which it turns out is a cynical business using scare tactics and intimidation to fleece customers.

Positive experience: Overpriced with limited services avaliable . I often have to wait for machines that are popular but are lacking in numbers.

Positive experience: Only 2 showers for men and it gets clogged up! I therefore refuse to use it for hygiene reasons! I have seen queues as well for the shower! Gym is ok though!

Negative experience: Absolutely shocking!! No one ever answers the phone! Have been on hold for now 40 min plus! Have been in position 5 since I called! Would be quicker for me to drive to the centre and have my questions answered!

Negative experience: I have been trying to speak to someone in reception for 3 days now and nobody ever answers the phone...... i never move up from 'number 3 in the que' even after 30 minutes of waiting

Negative experience: Reception que is massive! Try booking into something and you will be waiting an eternity. Worse still don't even attempt to phone in! Poor receptionist. I had the misfortune of being "scolded" by a very rude staff member! My son found a flower near the car park and picked it up and fave it to me. The staff member humiliated me infront of other parents and spoke in such an unnecessarily, rude and disgusting way. Everyone was just shocked at her behaviour. Leaving the centre I noticed a lot of flowers scattered across the floor, it looked like an animal had been through it. I would suggest not using the centre as your personal flower garden if it upsets you so much that a 3 year old would proceed to pick one up from the floor. On the other hand maybe you could do a better job of picking them up from the floor so it doesn't upset you so much. Place could do with a good clean. Mud all over the floor and changing rooms are dated. Shower que is very very long! I once waited 25 mins and ended up leaving without a a quick rinse.

Positive experience: Staff was lovely, The pool was a welcome surprise and the facilities was enough to get me going; though the weight machines are appropriate, it could have been better if they had a barbell or squat rack (understandably this is absent for safety purposes). Lastly, hopefully someone can put down gym etiquette reminders especially after or even during using weights equipments. (Like not having a conversation on the machines or always making sure to clean up/wipe after) Note: I have since left the center not because i did not like ot there anymore but i managed tk get a treadmill and weights at home

Negative experience: Please can somebody just pick up the phone! Why is phone always diverting to voicemail when you say there is a receptionist!?!...Or maybe give the receptionist a mobile phone...dont know!..

Negative experience: Changing rooms were dirty when I went in, although when I told the recepcionist on exit she did call a member of staff, to be fair. Not sure if they got cleaned or not after. Not enough showers. No one seemed to shower before getting into the pool. Children's session was still on and I was horrified to see the parents walking on the pool floor with their street shoes on and no shoe covers. Water was cold. After, public swimming. One line, but dedicated for lessons. The rest of the pool had lessons also and it was impossible to have a relax lenght without crashing into someone. Either you go first thing in the morning or you cannot swim. One day a week late in the evening for adult swim. Why not put more swimming lines on public swim? cause you need more life wards I was told. Really? the pool doesn't even have a deep end! I go swimming regularly in many different places and this is one of the worst places I have been to.

Negative experience: My mother is a member of this place has been going for 15 yrs she has been treated terribly by the staff receptionist Maria attrociacly she has a terrible attitude no customer service skills she has absolutely no people skills my mum was so upset by the way in which she was spoken to she is reluctant to go again I am appalled that she feels this way as she has always loved going to aqua aerobic class I would expect this person has some extra training in customer service if this goes to management I understand you are as bad so if nothing is done I will be complaining to council .

Negative experience: Awful service and unfriendly staff, quick to take your money but then slow to return it. This is a council run service which should be subsidised but instead you get ripped off. Never seem to answer the phone.

Positive experience: Gym is a little small but offers great classes for kids and adults , it also offers swimming and swimming classes.

Negative experience: Be warned they never answer the phone. If you cancel your Direct Debit without giving them 30 days notice they add a £10 admin charge plus your usual monthly fee and court action! What a joke! Have someone answer the phone LCC!!
