Fantastic experience: Swimming lessons are great for kids especially Chris who is amazing, has strong communication skills, empathy, and a passion for teaching lifelong skills. He has helped my child grow & develop so much.

Negative experience: I paid £13.50 to play badminton There was no ventilation in the sports hall, so we couldn't play for too long as it got really stuffy. Generally, just poor facilities. The place hasn't been refurbished for decades

Negative experience: Generally OK but one particular pool guard (Tom) is very rude, confrontational and a bully

Positive experience: I used to swam here a year ago. Over the year, the facility standard improved. The swimming pool lighting, water hygiene , changing room hygiene and lighting. Staffs are helpful, adequate carpark . It may not be the best , in general is good.

Negative experience: Pretty shocking that you can no longer watch your kids swim its that over crowded here,we can't even watch our own children swim downstairs either as thats now blocked off,absolutely shocking,why they can't even put a partition along the dance studio so more people can watch there kids swim is beyond me,I'm now thinking about pulling my kids out of swimming parking is ridiculous too

Fantastic experience: Love it here, I use the gym & occasionally swim on a Wednesday evening, place does need a refurb, but the fabulous staff make the place bright & welcoming

Negative experience: Was hoping to attend swimming here with my wife but it looks like the only time an adult male can go for a general swim currently is late on a Friday evening. Everything else is aimed at females, Lane swimming or children... Disappointing

Fantastic experience: I have been going for adult swimming lessons at Fearnville leisure centre since Aug 2022. Last week was the best. Thanks to Chris for the excellent lesson. He was able to engage with everyone eventhough we had the whole group together. Chris has superb teaching skills very patient and encouraging.

Fantastic experience: Kids loved the fun time. Place is clean and warm in spite of its age. Staff are helpful and polite.

Fantastic experience: Nice clean facilities ...not the biggest of gyms but squash courts and great spin classes at 6pm

Negative experience: I rang to enquire about times of opening n closing and was given the wrong times therefore my girls are not happy as they were really looking forwa4d to swimming today we will be going to John smeaton leisure centre from now on

Negative experience: Showing its age, tatty and in need of a major overhaul. If you just want a basic gym there are at least 2 large gyms nearby at less than half the cost. The gym here is very small with very few machines. Pool is okay.

Negative experience: Old and outdated but okay for a quick swim, also him is quite small and the changing room has an extremely horrible smell of urine

Positive experience: Friendly staff, good swimming instructors, good location But the Building need modernisation.

Negative experience: This centre is by far the most un-hygienic places I've ever been to! The toilets are BLACK with filth, the changing rooms smell of foist and mould, the tiles in the changing room have gunge between them, and in no way would I ever bring a child here! It's amazing that it's still open, let alone that no one has caught any disease like legionaires!

Positive experience: Go every Sunday for fun swim, with my little boy, friends & there kids for fun swim. We love going. Only downside is the changing rooms could do with been updated. They look old fashioned, which makes it look quite dirty.

Negative experience: The changing area for pool is absolutely filthy it's disgusting and the toilets and got a veruka! Dirty Dirty Dirty!!!!!! It needs a good clean , should be ashamed of yourselves.

Fantastic experience: It's free to go if you have there card ask them about it and which is nice for you and family I enjoyed it i had a good time

Positive experience: Lunchtime swim just down there road. Don't go on school holidays though as it's packed

Positive experience: Good local sport centre with swimming pool inside. There is a small pool and an adult one. Nice setup and service. Swimming pool not too big but fine for family swim.

Negative experience: Rough area. Been robbed in their skatepark before... good skatepark though, I don't regret one bit.

Negative experience: Dirty pool, building poorly maintained and unclean toilets. Used by school groups, staff average
