Negative experience: Made a membership here in January, super disappointed, I couldn’t access my account for 2 and a half weeks, tried contacting them multiple times and got no reply! And when I finally had I was told it was because I had to re confirm my debit, the payment had been taken from my account but I was unable to use it for half the month I paid for, when I finally got a reply back I was treated like it was my fault and the actual gym itself was extremely disappointing. Most machinery is out of use, especially in the women’s section the only two machines which work are the stairmaster and treadmills. Super disappointing sadly won’t be coming again

Negative experience: I attended this gym once and cancelled my membership whilst still in the gym. Absolutely disgustingly busy could not get on absolutely anything I wanted. Definitely needs a limit on how many people are in there at a time as it was overcrowded. Lots of weird men just staring. Gym stank of BO aswell very strong. Ladies area tiny and was so overcrowded I couldn’t even get in the door. Had the most awful experience will never join a JD gym again.

Negative experience: I have been going to JD Gym for more than one year. The gym desperately needs a refresh. The equipment is getting old and there are many that get broken and it takes ages for them to be fixed. The gym is dirty and they do not leave wipes or anything to clean the equipment. The gym needs to urgently up its maintenance teams. There are several disgusting leakages from the ceiling pipes constantly and nothing is done. Not good value for money I am afraid.

Negative experience: I’ve been a member for nearly 2 years now and haven’t been to the gym in 2 months due to how poor it’s maintained. Equipment is old, lots are broken and they take ages to have them fixed. Buckets on the floor as there are leaks in the ceiling. They used to have cleaning sprays and paper towel for you to wipe off equipment before and after use, but have removed these many months ago. I feel disgusted to use the equipment without being able to clean it first. The women’s room is unbelievable smelly. There’s absolutely no ventilation and no windows there. And there’s hardly any staff, if you encounter an issue, good luck trying to find a staff to help you. I’ll pay Pure gym a visit after reading the reviews that their equipment has been updated.

Negative experience: This gym is a joke. Most of the machines are broken or not working properly and it’s like this for weeks. I regret having a membership here

Negative experience: I have been a member for two years and during that time old equipment is constantly unavailable. Broken equipment is reported to employees but waits for weeks to be repaired. Additionally, for several months there has been no means of disinfecting the equipment. I really enjoy spending time here (the employees are very nice and helpful) but the constantly unavailable equipment makes training impossible. I am considering switching to the PureGym, who are next door and have replaced all the equipment with new ones.

Negative experience: old machines in poor technical condition constantly broken, months of solution for repair, no paper towels to wipe the seats and no sanitary products to disinfect the equipment, the matter is constantly reported to managers, no decisions whatsoever, the gym next to PureGym has completely new equipment which forces me to force the gym, I am very disappointed with the management's approach to customer care and safety

Negative experience: Place is a mess. Every floor has multiple broken machines / missing equipment and doesn’t get fixed for months.

Positive experience: Nice and huge place and comfortable with enough space for your time in the gym only an issue needs to take care of machines cleaning.

Positive experience: It’s a good gym especially for the price, if you are on a budget I can’t think of a better gym in MK. The sauna however is far too small for the amount of foot traffic the gym gets 90% of the day

Negative experience: It is so dirty, i have been going for 3 years now and the gyn just gets dirtier and dirtier. They used to have at least cleaning stations with wipes and alcohol to clean after you used a machine, however now they have taken it out. The toilets are filthy, people poo and dont flush and there is no one to clean. Simply disgusting

Positive experience: Gym is good. Plenty of equipment, and plenty of space. However, the music is okay at best of times. And it is so so loud, if you have sensory issues, bring some good sound cancelling headphones.

Positive experience: Good gym, I took a star off, as someone needs to turn the music either down or off during the night. It's unnecessary to be that loud at any time. It's not a nightclub!!!

Fantastic experience: Great friendly gym with fresh and vibrant exercise equipment. The studio is great for classes as you can adjust lighting, etc, and sound is OK. Only complaints re studio is microphones keep failing and gym users will take mats etc out of the studio and not bring them back so they will be short of equipment for classes. I love the ladies' only gym but find yet again people take equipment out of there. Especially from the matrix machine, and again, don't put it back. Despite this, I have found this gym to be welcoming and very clean.

Fantastic experience: Massive space filled with every conceivable torture device know to man. Everyone is super polite and respectful staff and members . At peak times It can get super busy but with 24 / 7 access the is no excuse now to skipping a work out

Positive experience: Seems okay, tried to get in today to buy a day pass, pressed the button as instructed online and no one came to help, waited for 5 minutes, no one came so went to Puregym next door. Shame as it seems nice but you should be able to buy day passes online

Negative experience: Toilets are constantly disgusting! And if that’s not bad enough, it never has toilet roll! This evening I saw a member of staff check the toilets (which had no toilet roll) and just walk off only to see him on his phone 5 minutes later… A toilet is easy to maintain and whoever is unable to do so probably needs to visit the job centre.

Fantastic experience: Came here on a guest pass today, please ignore the bad reviews staff are lovely the gym is spacious and has lots of different areas to train in. Female changing rooms were clean and tidy. If I lived in Milton Keyes would join here.

Negative experience: Decided to give budget JD gym a go, a 24hr gym with a sauna! Signed up with the no sign on fee. First time visiting was a Thursday at 5pm! That was a mistake, probably the busiest gym I have ever been to and I have been to gyms all over the world! Granted, it is February I suppose and peak time. That aside they do have an extensive amount of equipment, free weights, machines, squat racks, and loads of cardio equipment including two large rooms for classes and a dedicated spinning room as well as a section for martial arts, which was impressive! The male changing rooms are very small for the size and capacity of the gym, not nearly enough showers, they were all taken when I wanted to use them. The worst part was the horrendous smell of dried piss! I decided to have a go in the very small sauna, which was also full! When I did get in, it also stank of dried piss! I asked a few other members if this was normal and they said it always smelt bad! The changing rooms need immediate attention to bring them to an acceptable level. Oh they also have a dedicated women’s gym, I can’t comment on this as I can’t go into it, but that seems like a great idea for some women that are looking for the privacy. I have been twice now, midday Friday which was much better time to go, a lot less busy although the showers and sauna were still packed to the brim! Some great equipment and for a budget gym, it’s decent, just the changing rooms which let it down for me and the awkwardly small staircase which is used to go from the first floor to the second floor for men and women. For the price, overall, it’s almost good! Sort the male changing rooms out, more space and the plumbing and it would be a 3/4 star rating! Only due to it being a budget gym though as it’s available for a broader customer base. The parking scene around the building is a nightmare too! No pavement around the building, just mud, so you get all the cars and foot traffic from Pure gym and JD gym, it’s an accident waiting to happen IMO. Overall it’s a very busy area, both in and outside the gym and overall looks unfinished. I’m hoping it’s a work I progress, but doesn’t really look that way. I’m also a member at FF, looks like I won’t be cancelling that membership anytime soon. I will be cancelling the JD gym membership though!

Fantastic experience: Great experience Gym is spacious with a lot of equipment, a variety of different classes, and a sauna, which is a bliss. Nice and clean environment. Lots of carpark spaces. Most importantly, membership is really reasonably priced, has no contract, and no joining fee, which makes me join the gym I am thrilled . One thing that is a bit annoying is an app that should generate the QR code to enter the gym... sometimes it does, most time it doesn't, even though you tried all the tricks with a WiFi. You need to call for assistance to enter the gym or get out of it. I am sure it will be updated in the future. But it's not a jab. It's just inconvenience, which I am sure will be notified and resolved. After all, great on all accounts . Thank you JD gym.

Negative experience: The sanitary condition of this gym is sorely lacking. Female washroom seems to forever be nasty and lately there are absolutely no tissues or cleaning solutions to clean off equipment before or after use which is vital in a sweaty gym. Besides being a potential health hazard there is a wide array of equipment which is the only plus.

Negative experience: Every single morning changing room facilities are closed. Sometimes open at 05.15 , 5,30 ? It is frustrating due to all of us joining this place to use it before going to work. Majority of us we are changing in the gym ant not able to shower ? Need to be sort it asap

Negative experience: Sadly there are issues that are not being addressed. The app is often incorrect with classes missing or showing incorrect. The studio sound has been dodgy for weeks. It’s crackly and made my ears funny in class today. The air con intermittently won’t work. Wouldn’t work for dance this morning which makes the floors slippery and dangerous. Then it came on full blast during stretch when we needed it not to be freezing. The classes and instructors are amazing! But clearly the management are not doing their part and maintaining things. These have been an ongoing issues and no improvements seem to come.

Negative experience: Used to be good but recently I think they have oversold memberships. Nightmare to park and once you get inside it resembles a youth club with about 10 kids to each piece of kit. Equipment all over the floor, and often damaged. Unless you go early mornings your workout is going to take a while. Membership price has also recently increased.

Positive experience: I usually go early hours in the morning, the only negative thing I have to say is that the music needs to be turned down during the night as it is too loud even with my headphones on I can still hear it. I would like to see a little more boxing equipment. And what has happened to the battle ropes as I haven't seen them for the last 2 weeks.

Negative experience: I enjoy training here and the equipment is fine, however , the cleanliness is such an issue. The upstairs stinks, particularly the changing rooms. Half the women’s bathroom stall doors do not work and have been much dirtier lately. The treadmills are grubby and I have to clean them before I use them (gum is a big problem). I do see staff occasionally cleaning the equipment but I don’t think it’s enough. The members need reminding to keep clean and maybe the upstairs needs better ventilating. It’s near sickening at the moment :(

Negative experience: Equipment is good but lots of minor maintenance issues, such as not being able to adjust the seat on some of the machines. The changing rooms do smell and occasionally when the cleaner goes in they leave the fire doors wide open so you can see straight into the shower area from the mat area in the gym. It all comes across as a massive lack of care from the staff there.

Positive experience: Good value for money, always equipment free. App isn't great and doesn't let you access more than once a day without buzzing for help

Negative experience: The members and instructors don't want the HEATING on during Body Pump, Body Combat, dance classes etc, but the well-meaning managers are unable to directly change the incorrectly set air conditioning and head office are unable to get service company 'Omega' to change the air conditioning back to the preferable COOL setting. It is a complete FARCE that energy is being wasted heating a studio when no-one wants the heat. Control of air conditioning should be with the local management team not a non-responsive service company. How many weeks do members and instructors need to suffer for?

Positive experience: So it’s a good gym with good equipment but the QR scanner didn’t let me out. I believe a member of staff let me out using a pin. I just wanted to grab my headphones because I forgot them so I was coming back in. When it came time to scan back in it clearly scanned my QR code but wouldn’t let me in

Positive experience: Gym is good overall, however there are a lot of machines that lack maintenance attention and calibration , I’ve even pointed out one major issue to one of the maintenance guys (which is see very rarely) and they haven’t done anything about it , considering the fact that the equipment needs to be maintained ,calibrated properly and regularly to avoid imbalance and injury , what is most annoying is the fact that the problems that don’t take long to fix , other than that the gym is pretty good , the PT and cleaners are very proactive and friendly , it’s a shame that someone has to ruin it for everyone .

Fantastic experience: Great gym with all the equipment you'd need.over 2 floors and stocked well with benches and weights. Some old school plate machines too which is a bonus. Another positive is the vibe and atmosphere.

Negative experience: It's getting worse day by day. The most important parking spaces are now blocked with the barriers. For what purpose? Your own offices? That's crazy. You don't even have that many staff and surely they can park to the other parking spots. I've never seen such practice anywhere. When you go to tesco, have you ever seen the closed and most spacious parking spaces are reserved for the employees or the other shop owners nearby? The middle tap in mens toilet doesn't work for a long time. Machines are not looked after property..the rubbers on the holders are worn out. It hurts hands. Some of the machines are not greased and squeeking or vibrating when you use them.

Negative experience: There is a sauna but you can't take a cold shower. You can take only a warm or hot shower. It's ridiculous that you can't take a cold shower after you train or after the sauna.​

Negative experience: I do consider a change after giving them a few months. Toilets always stinks, washing taps barely works, there is even less car park spaces after the recent rearrangement and now they close all the men’s showers due to some works without any notice! Whoever manages this place… it sucks.

Negative experience: Shame it could be so much more, with a different franchisee, running it. I've now been to see Three JD Gym's, both had better Foreman machines for upper and lower chest, and upon inquiry talked freely about repair times being 2 weeks Not 3 months. And the Music was Far better not the constant bad stuff Milton Keynes has, that requires headphones, and the changing rooms Mens, always smell like the Rhino house at the Zoo. I go due to price not product at Milton Keynes , but I'd pay an extra £4.99 to get what Harlow and Wigan have.

Negative experience: Parking is a joke, the cars that don't park in a space should get tickets, it took me half an hour to get out of the parking space I was in due to another car parked behind me.... Please sort this out as it is unfair on people that park correctly

Negative experience: Changing rooms are really unclean and frankly, stink. They don't have cleaners at night anymore and the changing rooms are never open on time. Three times in two weeks I have had to go home for a shower rather than be at work on time. The gym itself is good, just a massive drop in hygiene and punctuality recently. Hope they address the issues.

Negative experience: The gym itself is really good, some of the equipment is failing and taking a while to be repaired, but there is plenty of equipment to make up for it. But, if you're joing a 24 hour gym, to have 24 hour facilities, think again. Changing rooms, toilets and showers close at 10:30pm, and don't seem to open much before 6am lately. This doesn't help when you joined the gym to workout early, because you start work at 6am.

Positive experience: Overall clean and updated gym with lackness in cleaning, especially in Bathrooms and changing rooms.

Make sure you call your bank to cancel direct debit as they will keep deducting money even if you cancel membership with them! Sauna stinks! As there’s a drainage leak! Again stuff members don’t give a monkey when you speak to them!

Negative experience: As my experience with jd gym at miltonkeynes I have had requested to gym manager that the shower temperature very hot not even warm can't get shower, He was very helpful and he told me that we will sort out ASAP, I come back 5days later but nothing changed same thing if you don't want to change please let me know then I will cancel membership, With this temperature People can't get shower even in winter time as well as very hot water so I hopefully management will understand and sorting out ASAP thanks in advance

Negative experience: Gym for the kiddos. If you are an adult and want to workout in a proper gym this is not the place.

Negative experience: Their customers have no respect whatsoever for their surroundings, demonstrated by the fact that there is a high concentration of litter next to this place, all the time. The owners don't seem to give a four x. They also seem to love dumping their electric scooters around the entrance too, obstructing the redways for everyone else.

Negative experience: It's a very spacious gym with a variety of good benches, machines, weights etc. I like the atmosphere and people seem to be friendly. Could be a 5 ⭐️. Unfortunately a lot of equipment are falling apart, some machines have loose bolts, are not oiled, wobbly and keep getting stuck/jammed or just make squeaky noises. I have to skip on them, because I don't want to risk an injury when it snaps. Machines that are already broken doesn't seem to be looked at for a while. More machines will break, if they won't get regular maintenance checks. Men's changing rooms smell bad, but understandable for gym's changing room, especially in summer. Toilets aren't being cleaned, urine all over the toilets and floor, no toilet tissue, whenever it was needed. There is a gym next door that might be an alternative, if JD will not take care of the maintenance.

Fantastic experience: Just came to check it out since me and my mate was looking for a new gym to join that would be spacious. And this one definitely is. The staff is friendly and helpful always there to advise and guide through all needs. Will sign up and start my training, definitely recommended place.

Positive experience: Great gym ! Has all the necessary gym equipment and gear. It does get really busy at peak hours and there aren’t enough machines at times… But overall it’s good

Negative experience: It's ok, if you choose the right time of day when it's quiet you can train without frustration. They're are a lot of posers and inconsiderate clients. Weights are left all over the place, dumbbells and weights are tossed about or just dropped to the floor at the end of a set. Staff either don't have the power or are not interested in saying anything, I suspect the former. If I'm honest I don't think JD as an organization cares about the environment as long as they make money. It also confounds me why broken machines take an eon to be repaired.

Fantastic experience: Awesome gym and best callisthenics equipment. But be wary of your stuff, people may take your items if you leave them unsupervised. I got 3 items stolen in there, small stuff but it adds up.

Fantastic experience: Awesome gym, plenty space for everything, plenty machines, dumbells & equipments. CYCLING ROOM AND BOX ROOM also available. Different types of Clases and sauna in the dressing room. Only good vibes there.

Negative experience: The music in this gym is so loud you can hear it over your headphones even on full blast & people talk to each other like it’s a nightclub! Staff say HO set the limits - too high in my opinion The equipment isn’t always clean either

Negative experience: Gym itself is OK, but the company itself only gets 2 stars from me as they failed to process my cancellation within the 14 working days they claimed they would, leaving me with no choice but to cancel my direct debit. They've also failed to provide a statement of past payments as requested. Clearly processing cancellation is not their priority so be warned...

Positive experience: Price on gym is cheap for size of the gym, but lot of equipments would need to improve cleaning as its not clean specially at night time , overall gym is better then puregym would recommend to friends if equipment will start be improving and cleaning, Also what annoying is people doesnt know how to park in bays their cars parking on driveway everyday this does needs to be looked at as previous exercise4less did, its very annoying that gym has no rules about parking lot here finding loads of cars parking at driveway ! NEVER SEEN CAR PARK OVER FULL BUT STILL PARKING ON DRIVEWAY, do something with cars being parked on the drive ways double yellow lanes its shown also no action specially evening times overparked even parking bays are empty , never saw like that when was exercise4less

Fantastic experience: Great clean gym with loads of equipment, and plenty free parking

Positive experience: Daytime is queuing for several workout machines. Nighttime locker and changing area are closed. The music is a bit too loud. Cleaning stations are poor! And when the membership is cancelled they charge you for 2 more months if you can manage to do a cancellation request as the website mostly not working to do so !

Negative experience: Definitely gone down hill from the start of the year... Way too overcrowded now, parking isn't great and the plugs within the women's changing rooms were not working for over 3 weeks. Standards have dropped which is very disappointing but there's great equipment! Last year there was a huge problem with the showers in the women's changing rooms, literally piping hot (boardline burning) and everyone complained. Finally fixed after 2 months!

Positive experience: Great gym and lots of equipment, showers and toilets need tlc Witnessed a chap spit his water out as he had a phone all coming through.. This should be addressed, unfortunately no staff around but I sure cctv would have spotted it

Positive experience: Plenty of parking here , But sure, if you come for your workout and are too special to walk 20 to 30 metres to the entrance then yes do please park on the double yellow lines outside the entrance, even if it means blocking off a usable parking space and causing traffic jams around the loop , JD don't really care and will not prevent you from doing so ! 27-2-2023 edit : Hi JD Gyms , thanks for your full and frank reply , glad to hear you've taken that on board and are going to address the issue. Negative experience: Extension leg machine is broken for months and they don't do nothing about it, this is a joke that extension leg is not fixed properly is missing a bearing a washer and the bolt

Positive experience: Filthy loos not cleaned regularly! Members or some are filthy too. I could imagine how there home looks an smells. Other than the cleanest side of things it does what most gyms do
