Fantastic experience: Just been, and had a valentine’s special treatment with Kim. So relaxing, and my skin feels lovely! Will definitely be back for more treatments! Kim is very professional, and cares about the job she’s doing, which shows in her work. The gym and swimming pool areas are amazing, I love the fact that it’s a small gym and very friendly! The pool is amazing, because it a walk in pool and it’s lovely and warm! There are other facilities, that I’ve not used yet.

Fantastic experience: I have attended the Aqua Arobics class today. I felt nervous but was put a t easy with the instructor - She was fab and funny. It's particularly helped with my mental health and social anxiety so I am really pleased.

Fantastic experience: I used Kim for arms wax and eyebrow lamination and couldn’t be more happier . Very friendly in a professional environment and made me feel at ease . Will definitely use again . Sooo good to know there is allocated beautician now at your gym . Thank you x

Positive experience: I have been a member for the last 5 years, I have seen it on the down hill but it is now on the up. Not that big a gym but all you need for a work out and the team are friendly and the pool is great too. Improvements are being done bit by bit and if it wasn't for a new job in a different area I'd be staying. I will pop in to say hello. Good luck. If you are looking for a smaller gym byt friendly I'd give these guys a go.

Positive experience: Wow TBH I wasn't expecting a local hotel to have such good facilities, but we're very pleasantly surprised. My Wife, 16 year old daughter and myself booked in for a free trial in their gym and spa. We were greeted my several staff during our visit, all were extremely and genuinely friendly, helpful, and professional. The gym and spa prices are far better than other spas we have visited. The gym itself is small and lacking a huge array of equipment, but more than enough to get a complete workout. Also it is so quiet unlike every other gym locally which we loved. The pool and spa were fantastic. The changing rooms are spotlessly clean, private shower cubicles, and small individual steam rooms not mixed sex like everywhere else. I had the steam room to myself, which was a first. The pool was again clean and so quiet. It was kept at 30 degrees which was the warmest indoor pool I've been in, no initial cold shock whatsoever. The jacuzzi was lovely too and only us three in it. We had drinks after and were served by two lovely members of staff. The drinks range was very good and so was the menu. We didn't eat, nor stay in the rooms so can't comment on these things. The food and drink is expensive for the area but expected in a hotel I guess. We would have eaten and drank more if these were lower priced. Apart from that we highly recommend this hotel and spa. Customer service is very good too with the manager Asad and his team promptly replying. Would I join the gym and spa? Well for the price they really need to get a few more essential items to steer me away from my current gym. Not much more.. If they buy a leg extension machine to go with the leg curl machine for a start, you shouldn't have one without the other. Maybe a smiths machine, which doesn't take up much floor space but allows lots of different exercises to be done safely and alone. Some barbell and an ez bar. Maybe even a punch bag. Asad said they don't have the space But... the reception is as big as the gym, therefore dead space. Use it and make the basic gym into a great gym. It seriously would get me there, and would make far more money than they need to spend. Promise this and I'll join and I know others that would too. Until then maybe not.

Fantastic experience: Their as been a management change and I have to say the club has improved!! the jazuzzi is working regularly now the place is been painted the challenges with prizes is a good idea and they are adding classes Excellent start by Asad and long May it continue !! Always room for improvement just the lockers to sort and we all on a winner!! Long term member here and find the club very convenient and enjoyable place to be Also enjoy a nice cuppa tea there !!

Positive experience: Lovely quiet gym and pool, quite small but that's ok for me! Only issue is that most of the lockers are without keys or don't lock.

Fantastic experience: The previous negative reviews have focused too much on this place being ‘dated’. It’s not modern or posh. We didn’t use the gym. The pool facilities were amazing , spotlessly clean, warm pool and a proper hot jacuzzi. Sauna great. The natural light and views are great too. Ellie was lovely. Very helpful, friendly and engaging.

Fantastic experience: I’ve seen the improvement and pleasant atmosphere in the gym, pool and spa since Asad has been in charge. The pool and the spa temperature has been excellent and relaxing unlike before it used to be cold and uncomfortable. I look forward to coming as I have been a member for a very long time. I’m confident he will continue to improve and be pleasant to all the members.

Fantastic experience: Very welcoming staff.Clean & tidy Leisure centre. Pool is very clean& jacuzzi is up & running. Ppl need to take responsibility for their own actions, dropping goggles into outlets around the jacuzzi. Hence the breakdown of the jacuzzi!

Negative experience: Pool very, very dirty - jacuzzi out of order and looks like no chance it will ever work again. Changing rooms are terrible with lockers falling off the hinges. A very unloved gym and pool and feels grim.

Negative experience: The whole place is ancient. Gym is tiny with absolutely random equipment and half of it was broken anyway. Jacuzzi didn't work, swimming pool is only 1,2m deep, the only good thing was really hot sauna. Not worth the money, I won't come back.

Fantastic experience: The staff are friendly and very helpful- with special mention to the manager and most of all assistant manager Alex. They went above and ensured my parking ticket resolved immediately without fuss. They also ensured won’t happen again.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely love the swimming pool and the gym!!! Staff are always amazing and very helpful, they will always go that little bit further to help, especially Anna.

Negative experience: Went in to view facilities and membership deals. Very small gym, not that clean and poor quality equipment for the price. Not worth it at all considering you could go Nuffield or mclub for just a little more or xercise for less and "the gym" for a fraction of the price. Honestly I thought it was a rip off what they asked for.
