Our comment from FitFit UK about Windsor Leisure Centre:
Windsor Leisure Centre is a popular destination for families and individuals seeking a fun and relaxing recreational experience. First-time visitors often express appreciation for the warm water and family-friendly atmosphere, making it a great spot for children to enjoy various water slides and a wave machine.
However, many users have reported significant concerns regarding cleanliness and maintenance. Complaints about dirty changing rooms, dirty pools with floating debris, and inadequate cleaning efforts have become common. Despite these issues, some visitors note that the pleasant staff and the available facilities provide a potential for improvement.
Highlights of Windsor Leisure Centre include:
- Various water activities, including slides and a wave machine
- Friendly staff dedicated to providing a good experience
- Affordable pricing for entry and parking
- Good amenities for families with children
Visitors have suggested that renovations and better cleaning protocols would significantly enhance the experience. While the facilities are suitable for kids and offer engaging activities, addressing the cleanliness issues might help the centre regain its positive reputation in the community.

Windsor Leisure Centre: Opinions
Fantastic experience: Very relaxing ,worm water ,nice place for kids
Negative experience: Went to the family leisure pool for the 1st time today, will not be going back again. I've never been to a pool as filthy and disgusting as Windsor leisure centre, it looked like it hadn't been cleaned for the whole weekend. The wave machine was only switched on once in the hour we were there and the flume slide was shut 20 mins into our session.
Negative experience: Grubby filth of a pool, avoid unless your ok with illness and germs!!! First and last time we'll visit this pool. Whilst the kids had fun on the slides and remained oblivious, the adults were busy dodging wet floating tissues, plasters, paper wrist bands and other disgusting things afloat in the pool. The changing rooms were disgustingly filthy and I don't say that lightly!!! I didn't see a single person cleaning the whole time we were there. I refused to let the kids use the showers as to be honest I just didn't want to be in there anymore. Upon exiting I looked at the floor area in the cafe too and this was covered in food waste, crisp packets and litter. I went to complain to the staff working behind the desk and one literally stared at me blankly like I spoke a different language when I asked for a complaints form. Eventually another said they take some details and tried to say it was because they are so busy, but if that's the case they need to reduce the number of people using the pool to adequately clean the areas between swims, no excuse! This place is a health hazard
Negative experience: I visited for the first time today and I was disappointed. It has many facilities which is wonderful but I found the place hard to navigate as a new comer. I had paid £8.50 for an adult only leisure swim but found that parking was an additional charge. I realise this is often the case but at nearly £10 to swim I felt that was unreasonable. Upon entering I asked the reception lady, who was very friendly, how to get to the pool and she welcomed me and directed me. She then told me lockers were padlock only which I had not known. The information was not on the website as far as I could see. Padlocks were £4 and you could not take your bag poolside. She said I could bring one from home and I asked if there was any free storage for a first visit so I could bring my padlock next time and she said no and then just walked away. Fortunately the pool was fairly empty so I left my belongings in an unlocked locker - many people do seem to do this. The changing facilities are decent and but I found having only 4 private showers in the toilet odd. The pool itself looks fun. There are lots of slides and signs for a wave machine so I imagine it's great fun for little ones. I've seen reviews saying it's dirty. It's not, but it is very rubbish down. The tiles are discoloured at the waters edge, some tiles on the floor or the pool look a rust colour. It is quite off-putting and does give an unclean feeling. The hot tubs especially felt grimy, missing several tiles and having a ring of brown along the waters edge. The water was lovely and warm and the staff are super friendly especially with the regulars. Afterwards I showered (good pressure, nice and hot but no way to adjust the temperature - would be too hot for little ones) and went to dry my hair but the hair dryers were pay only; 20p. Having no change on me at all I left with damp hair in to the cold Overall, I'm not sure I'll be back. I've moved here recently from Uxbridge and will likely go back there to use their much superior pool and if I want to take my son to a fun pool I will likely use bracknell's coral world. This is a real shame as WLC is on my doorstep. It needs some serious reinvestment as it could be a fabulous centre. I understand why everything is pay to use if there is a lack of funding but unfortunately, I doubt I will spend my money there when I feel the facilities do not match the value.

Fantastic experience: Nice to have a good affordable pool near by
Hi Elliott! Thank you for the positive review regarding our affordability. We look forward to seeing you soon!
Positive experience: Friendly staff and always a good time for the kids. Little dated
Hi, Martyn! Thank you for the review. Your feedback means a lot to our team, we pride ourselves on good customer service. If you ever need anything else or have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out. We look forward to your next visit!
Negative experience: Consistently fail to set up the badminton courts on time. In the past year I’ve had to complain to reception about 6 times because they haven’t bothered to look at the bookings to set up. This is a regular issue and staff don’t seem to care or apologise. The only reason I keep coming back is because it’s close to my house but absolutely terrible management of the courts.
Fantastic experience: Great place to visit. Really competitive prices considering the range of activities on offer and some of the cheapest parking this close to the castle in the town. Park toward the rail overpass and you’ll be a few meters from the more expensive, ever so slightly closer car park.
Fantastic experience: Went to pick up granddaughter from swimming lesson. Busy venue. Helpful staff
Fantastic experience: Went with friend and two kids 4-6 years old. We had wonderful time, kids had so much fun. We managed to play and relax together. Staff was very friendly, a specially Mark who was helpful and understanding! Thank you!! We are coming back this week! Can’t wait
Positive experience: I took my son and niece. They had a lovely time. I really enjoyed the tide wave, good experience
Fantastic experience: Absolutely brilliant. Something for everyone. Easy disabled access. A must visit.
Negative experience: Very disappointing! I have never been to this venue before so I asked the question "can i just turn up" and was advised to book as it was half term. The website promotes slides and a wave machine but they don't open till after 4pm. This was OK because my booking with my grandsons aged 8 and 12 was at 6.30pm. The receptionist didn't seem interested in my bar codes as proof of payment (which I thought were expensive) and just gave us 3 wrist bands. Half the changing rooms were in darkness and the doors didn't shut properly or lock. In the pool the slides were all closed off and the waves came on once in the whole hour we were there. I was shocked to see you even had to pay to use the hairdryers. If I had been told in the beginning that the slides would be closed for whatever reason I would not have booked it. I will not be in a hurry to return.
Negative experience: Some of the reception staff are very rude and unfriendly, changing rooms are a bit dirty. You will get athlete's foot if you do not wear flip flops.
Negative experience: Haven't been here for a while as a while back we used to visit frequently but it was becoming run down and dirty. I had heard they had 'done it up' a bit and had a new slide put in. Sadly, it was not a pleasant experience. Lots of people and only 2 lifeguards seemed a bit alarming. Paid just under £20 so the children could experience the fun parts like the waves. We were told there aren't enough staff members to facilitate the waves or the slide. I said that's not really fair when we've paid. Suddenly, another lifeguard and management appeared and we got the waves before we had to get out the pool. The pool side was very dirty, plasters, hair, wristbands and bits of float everywhere. The water was also quite murky. Me and my son went into the jacuzzi and there were lots of loose tiles so didn't stay in for long for fear of hurting ourselves. The changing rooms were also quite dirty and people wearing outdoor shoes in the changing area meant there were clumps of mud everywhere. Our family changing room had a nappy bin in it that obviously hadnt been emptied for a while and smelt really bad. Needless to say we were not impressed and won't be hurrying back.
Positive experience: I use the leisure centre for the gym. It has a decent range of equipment, and out of peak hours, you don't find yourself waiting around much due to the range of kit there. The toilet facilities need some attention, which many others have pointed out in the reviews. Also, I don't know if it's just me, but the staff in the gym section don't seem particularly friendly when I enter. No smile, no hello, just a stare, which is weird. I think maybe only one staff member has said hi in the past few weeks Think they could maybe work on the customer service a bit.
Negative experience: Got myself a membership as it’s required to use sauna and steam room unfortunately it’s closed more then open, waisted money
Positive experience: Good apart from parking using Ringo!
Negative experience: I booked a room for a birthday party for kids. Ordered food, they served very less food, no cutlery. Had to go ask and even after just got plates. Had to go down all the way to reception and got cups and no spoons. Terrible service and food. Don’t recommend for birthday parties. The escape room was good though
Positive experience: Could be a really nice swimming pool. They have good slides & a nice pool with waves. It is lovely & warm, both the water & temperature which makes it nice for families. Unfortunately, every time we have been it has been quite dirty & it is looking very run down. If the cleanliness could be improved, it would be great!
Positive experience: Very busy and due to the car park being full we only ended up have 25 minutes in the swimming pool. Not very happy with that but the pool is nice and slides are fun
Negative experience: I will be calling the council on this leisure centre there is no way you should be paying parking and swimming entrance fee for facilities to be such a health hazard How disguising. This is not a cared for facility. The staff show no pride in their work place. Look at all the one star reviews it's no lie. Makes me want to vomit when I went in and saw what is evident in the photo. Clean the facilities Pay the staff right and do the job right We love the swimming lessons because my kids can swim and the progress is evident but the centre needs renovations or care or a scrub. Filthy do something about it windsor!
Fantastic experience: Best gym in town also can go swimming always clean and staff are friendly
Negative experience: I’ve been going here for years and I can tell you some things I like and dislike about this area- especially the family pool. The pool is great to swim in, it’s good for kids since the slides keep them entertained. The jaccuzis are nice and warm, and when I went the lady at the reception was really nice. You can blow dry your hair for 20p which is cheap and good since it’s for 5 mins. However, the area could have a lot of improvement/renovations. Firstly, the changing rooms are too small (some of them), and normally the big ones are dirty. There’s black stains on the tiles near some which idek what that is! Then the showers. The shower curtains also have black stains, which I’m clearly guessing it’s mold. There’s no shelving for putting your shampoo on which is kinda weird. The lockers are too small in my opinion. Also, there’s like brownish stains in between the tiles. Theres no diving signs posted yet there’s people, mainly kids, that are diving and splashing which cause a nuisance to other people. Some of lifeguards just sit there on their phones and just don’t cause spot out the things happening in the pool. Overall, it’s a good place for swimming with family/friends but the area needs a renovation in order to look more modern and appealing since there’s rust in a lot of areas. But still a good area to swim in and to visit!
Negative experience: After the carpark keeping £23.90 on hold you then get to the disgusting dirty changing rooms that don’t look like they have been cleaned since the 90s (the floor is so grimy) you then get to the lockers without padlocks on which the front desk obviously didn’t tell us we needed one. The place is vile, dirty and extremely run down, if I get away with a Varuca and an ear ache I think I will be lucky.
Negative experience: The pools were great, but the changing area, the toilets, and the shower are disgusting. The shower curtains are black, but mold is quite noticeable. Overall, I’d say it’s great for kids, but not adults.
Negative experience: Would not recommend. We attended for the first morning session today at 10:30 start. The toilets smelt like sewage and was really unpleasant. There were loads of little bugs around the toilets and also around the pool side. The session ended 20 minutes early due to an issue within the pool. I contacted their customer service for a partial refund and was pointed to their terms and conditions that they do not give refunds. However their terms also state they GUARANTEE a full hour, and also that should a session be cancelled out of their control they would issue a full refund. So they do not honour their terms if it isn’t within their interest to do so. Would avoid this place at all costs. As a large organisation you would hoped they had better customer service.
Fantastic experience: Nice pool, not the newest but well maintained. Very good for 1-3 year olds
Fantastic experience: Good place. Affordable. Good service.
Negative experience: Lane swimming is constantly degraded. The so called 4 lane swimming has only 2 lanes, the 4th lane no longer exists and 3rd lane is used for swimming lessons. The 3rd lane gets wider by the week, making the actual lane swimming more and more compressed. Today’s session had upwards of 5 children in the slow lane, using it as a fun pool. For reference, there is a separate pool which is meant to be a fun pool. The less confident lane swimmers gave up and left. Given the slow lane was being used as a fun pool meant that there was only 1 actual lane for swimming. One of the children could not even swim and said so. The lifeguard did nothing.
Negative experience: Very bad experience.. totally racist behaviour by security guard.he pick me and my family and find excuse to send us out and follow us outside. As a turban guy and he comes to me and give me hundred reason leave the site and I can’t forget his evil smile on main door. No body helps you there..
Negative experience: I give this one star but only because the staff were polite, even when I complained. I used this pool as a stop over to break up a long journey for the children(I wish I hadn’t). The changing rooms were scruffy and dirty. The pool tiles are all discoloured/dirty (not a nice sight). I have never seen so much rubbish floating in a swimming pool. We stayed possibly 15minutes, and that was only because the children queued for the slide. I thought with the pool being in Windsor it would have been upmarket and a pleasure to use(how wrong was I) I would not recommend this swimming facility to any one.
Negative experience: The most filthiest leisure centre I’ve visited in the whole of London. You must read the trip advisor reviews because it seems everyone thinks it’s the most disgusting humid place yet they are hiding it well on Google reviews. The whole place needs to be refurbished and shut down for assessment because there’s no way people don’t get sick from the filth in that place. I wish I had time to take a picture of the mouldy broken shower curtains, over flowing no drains, mouldy floors and black mould all over the changing rooms . The pools are so old and grimy too. the pictures they advertise look nothing like what you see, everything is run down. Stay away.
Negative experience: The place needs a revamp or at the very least a clean. There is green algae in many places. It just feels dirty. Probably why the water feels as though it’s 50% chlorine. Not good. And it’s a real shame.
Negative experience: When I go into the gym there's always ample reception staff. All youngsters however tapping away on phone, no clear management in place. When I call reception nobody every picks up the phone! Infuriating customer service. You are forced to drive there to book anything. Management needs to get a hold of it and sort it out
Negative experience: Filthy, tired and neglected. Shame it used to be such a great place. In desperate need of a refurb. We won’t be going back until it’s had one.
Negative experience: Very run down, everything is well worn. The swimming area hasnt changed much since i used to go as a child 25 years ago. It looks dirty but they were cleaning the floors in the changing room before they opened. It made it all soaking wet. When you arrive at 10am they don't open the big slide until 10.30 and the waves are right at the end of the session. Swimming is only an hour long, I think you should get more time. My 8 year old enjoyed himself.
Positive experience: Good centre. Only issue is the lockers need a padlock and if you buy a padlock from reception, its a nightmare to set up. You end up wasting so much time.
Negative experience: Prologue: The sun blazes overhead, and the pool shimmers like a giant blue jellybean. What the leisure centre needed was a hero, alas what they got was a ginger lifeguard (let’s call him Rusty), as he stands (not) vigilant. Scene: The Deep End Observations: Rusty’s Dilemma: Three kids – fearless, buoyant, and blissfully unaware of Rusty’s existential crisis – dive into the abyss. Their cries for help echoes like seashells. Rusty’s thoughts? “Do I save them from this underwater tea party?” ♂️ Or should I continue to have a Finger Puppetry Across the pond (or rather, the pool), Rusty’s would be girlfriend (let’s call her Coral) performs intricate finger puppet shows. As a sign of communication with each other. “The three kids mentioned earlier almost drowned, but Rusty’s love life? Thriving!” – Concerned Parent Conclusion: Next time you visit, remember Rusty’s motto: “Safety first, unless your heart’s doing the backstroke.” ♂️❤️ Disclaimer: No gingers were harmed in the making of this aquatic drama. But their reputations? As unpredictable as a rogue wave! ^(P.S. Rusty, if you’re reading this, maybe invest in a waterproof whistle?) P.s Rusty, do your job watch the kids not your mates, I should not have to do your job and save three kids while having my own clutching me. This may be one of the worst pools I have had been two. Keep your kids safe and go to Langley leisure centre as Windsor is a waste of safety. And Rusty, it’s worth brushing out your resume as Lifeguarding is 100% not for you.
Negative experience: If I could give this 0 stars then I would ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED IN THE TOILETS my daughter very nearly stood bare foot in a sanitary towel that was covered I will never attend this centre again the amount of dirty nappies in the changing rooms was beyond a joke It’s obvious there’s no cleaning schedule or anyone even bothered about the situation It’s in plain site there’s no excuse for this at all I also question the hygiene of those leaving this nastiness behind
Fantastic experience: Friday night skate, superb venue, parking a little expensive and the skating shuts for August
Positive experience: The Windsor swimming pool is overall ok. The changing room can be abit dirty from the 2 times I have been. But I think that's down to everyone to keep clean. The children section is a bit dated and needs some new paint or something. But overall ok. My kids like the 2 lain slide that's by the jacuzzi. It was normally empty when I went so no waiting. The only thing that was a bit poor was the lazy river, The jets were not even on and there were things in the water like a few armbands. To be fair the price to go in is fairly cheap so these things are probably ok for most people.
Negative experience: I paid £15 for me and my child for one hour in this pool which was over crowded and dirty my child only likes it because of the waves which only gets switched on for 5 minutes at the end of the session it should be on longer and as for padlocks for the lockers this is ridiculous and needs to be scrapped why not put normal ones in using a coin or token I think this place is overpriced and dirty
Negative experience: Signed in for trigger point for both myself and my wife. Reception failed to add my wife and she was fined. Had to ring up to sort the problem. Front of desk staff need to have a process to ensure that they know what they are doing. Customer services is a skill.
Fantastic experience: Great booking system in place, affordable pricing and a large car park
Fantastic experience: Super Leisure Centre with good cafe & ample of carparking spaces.
Positive experience: Nice, clean and clam. Too big. Have water boat, ice creams aren’t much costly . I like it.
Negative experience: Absolutely shocked by the hygiene of this place and the state of the changing area and the toilets. So shocking... speechless...The image is very misleading.
Negative experience: Expect more for royal windsor. The place hasn't really changed since it opened originally (yes I remember that!). There are a LOT of cracked tiles and parts of the water drains are coming away from the floor. The water is cloudy and has all sorts floating in it. If you look under the water there are all sorts of strange looking debris. The showers and changing areas are looking old and are very dirty. My wife advised that the ladies' toilets have hair all over the place, stuck on the tiles, as though it had been there for some time, and used sanitary pads on top of the bins and benches . Respectfully some of the issues are based on visitors just not being hygienic themselves, but honestly, the place requires a cash injection to bring it back to a safe and clean environment. Regular checks and cleans of the toilet and changing areas are a must.
Positive experience: Great swimming pool , lots of fun for kids /toddlers..however staff wasn't very helpful at reception and borderline rude to be honest .have to bring your own padlock also other wise you get charged 4 pound for their padlocks
Positive experience: Love a wave machine, was only on once in our hour session, more waves please.....
Negative experience: Not very clean at all. People enter without any proper swimwear, and with their home clothes
Negative experience: Nice facilities. Unfortunately it's incredibly difficult to get through on the phone to book anything. The website is also hard work. When I use the place I find I have to drive into the car park just to book an activity. It seems such an unnecessary hassle
Negative experience: Had a great time here with my son. Alot of people were getting confused with the padlocks on the lockers when I arrived so they may want think of an alternative solution. Changing rooms were very dirty. Hair on the floor, filthy drains and mould in the corners of the cubicles. They Definitely need to upgrade there cleaning standards on busy days. Would possibly return in the future.
Fantastic experience: Lovely for babies as well, staff really nice, but cafe staff could be a little more approachable, and quicker with cleaning ang clearing tables
Negative experience: First time visit with my kids here, the toilets were absolutely disgusting, the changing rooms were dirty and pool omg had 2 dead flys floating around bottom of pool was all dirty and had all brown marks that looked like poo. I won't ever come here again. You also have a 1 hour swimming time that's it.
Negative experience: If I could give it negative stars, I would. We were forced here by Braywick having a day off/closed. More people at any given time than the website seems to permit in a session. Constantly unkempt, continuously wet floors, including in changing rooms and NO ONE comes to wipe up. Wet paper towels disintegrating near pool, trash. So so so dirty, I can’t. Leaking roof. Not even the water park slides help with all this. Just horrible.
Positive experience: Decent gym with the upgrades and staff are great there, not the friendliest on reception, although
Fantastic experience: We went to Windsor leisure centre today,it was a fantastic experience! This is the best leisure centre we’ve ever been to.We last went a couple of months ago and had a fantastic experience here and wanted to go back as soon as possible. The fun pool is loads of fun(a huge not too deep pool),lazy river and loads of water slides. The slide was so much fun, kept going on it!The lazy river was fabulous as well, went on it three times. The waves were cool too.The staff and photographer were friendly. There are so many facilities here.At the end of your parking session you must press stop.It is quite hard to park in Windsor so if you go here and then need to go to the town centre afterwards just keep your car parked here.Would highly recommend this Lesiure centre and I hope to come back soon.
Fantastic experience: Super nice option for 6 to 11 years old, clean and not crowded.
Negative experience: Today my patner went to Windsor Leisure Centre with kids she bought the tickets from the app when she reached there she came to know she can not go with 2 kids she showed the terms she agreed on the app but they said it’s wrong wrong. The receptionist was rude and refused to give her name for me to complain about her behaviour she was not wearing a name badge. They refused to refund the money or give credit for me to come back for another session. Very disappointed. Very unprofessional behaviour. Very bad customer service
Positive experience: Staff members are friendly & helpful, the kids swimming pool is a good size has slides & other items kids can use to have fun. The changing rooms, however, need better lighting & more of a drying area.
Negative experience: The staff in the cafe are under trained and only interested in serving and chatting with their colleagues.an elderly gentleman was waiting for his flat white, he had to ask for it again and when it was finally put in front of him he had to reach across the counter to retrieve it. His anxiety had built up so much that his hands were shaking so much he spilt most of his coffee. When my daughter had finished swimming she ordered a pizza and after 10-15 mins I told her to go and ask where it was, they said it would be another 5mins and she watched him walk to the fridge and get one out!
Fantastic experience: Make sure you take your own lock, could do with a spruce up bit dated
Positive experience: The facility is looking a little tired in some places but it is still clean and well maintained. I have autistic kids and so avoiding crowds at other pools with slides can be very challenging. Windsor has plenty of space and the kids love it
Negative experience: Windsor swimming pool has always been a firm favourite with my kids - we travel quite a long way to go there (45 mins in the car) and we look forward to going as a treat. We visited today for the first time in quite a while and I was so disappointed. The ladies toilets were absolutely disgusting - most blocked, dirty and utter filth on the floor, my 6 year old daughter refused to use them. The floors were a disgrace, mould and dirt all over them - our towels came home black. The ladies showers were the worst of all - apart from the filthy floors the shower curtain was so thick with black mould it looked like blood stains - it made me feel physically sick. There were multiple discarded wrist bands and plasters floating around in the pool and it was incredibly overcrowded - so so busy. The two stars are for each of my kids as they enjoyed the slides and wave machine - if it were up to me it’d have no stars. If we manage to escape sickness after today I’ll be amazed.
Fantastic experience: If you're looking for something different than the average pool for the kids, come here. Alongside the standard pool for fitness (in a separate room) this location holds a large pool for fun, complete with wave machine which periodically runs, though you can have entire hour long sessions without activation if you're not keen. This main pool holds a small baby sized slide for you to help little ones slash down into, a larger water running slide to crash down along with larger kids, and an in-water exit into a simulated river leading to a hidden pool with a waterfall, perfect for toddler-to-child exploring (our 2 year old loved being "washed down the river". Outside of the pool and its fun, there is also a separate, much larger, straight slide which must be taken individually by holding a metal railing and 'launching' yourself down, as well as a sky-high twisting tube going from the ceiling down to the ground. There are also two free-use jacuzzis and a separated small pool just for swimming lessons so that personal classes can be held during normal working hours. We had a fantastic time here, and our daughter quickly overcame her nerves and the sights and sounds and got stuck in. I absolutely recommend this place for a fantastic swim with the family. It's worth noting that 2 hours of parking stands at £2.80, and there are several other car parks within walking distance.
Positive experience: Went swimming mid afternoon with my family in the leasure pool Walking in the staff where kind and friendly Walked into the changing rooms, and I would say it was quite dirty in most of them with wrist bands and just not clean Lockers, you need to take your own padlock , not a problem, or they will charge you £4 for one The pools and slides are really good with the big one in the middle. A couple of smaller ones for young children, the pool area is very clean, and lifeguards on duty looking over everything There is also a steam and sauna, but you have to pay extra to use, but that is understandable There is a small cafe that has ample seating, but in places like this overcharge just that little bit close to £5 for a baguette Plenty of parking £2.80 for 2 hours or it jumps to £5.40 for 3 hours. What then does seem a little overpriced considering you are spending money to be at this leisure centre A really nice vist with the family would recommend fkr a nice family visit Please give a like if this has helped you
Positive experience: The leisure pool is warm, my children, 6 and 10, like the slides and wave pool and it's not a rip-off.
Fantastic experience: Amazing for families with little ones! Family changing rooms are big enough for pushchairs aswell.
Positive experience: Warm pool - great for kids and family time however not the cleanest. Facilities to change are kept clean
Negative experience: Facilities seem ok, wanted to have a look to decide if a membership is worth having, obviously no one wanted to help until we fill a membership inquiry form with all our details! We explained 3 times that we don't want to have a membership yet we want to see the place first which wasn't welcomed at all! So after about 15 minutes we just left and never had a look at the place
Positive experience: Decent gym, open til 11pm weekdays but on Saturdays they close early at 6pm which is disappointing. I understand closing early on Sundays that’s fair enough, but not Saturday. Also, for a municipal gym, it’s quite pricey.at over £10 for a single session and like sixty something poundsa month for membership when there’s commercial gyms that charge £26 or less, and David Lloyd is basically the same price as the Braywick gym, and they’re a premium gym with a spar and swimming pool. It’s a decent gym though and it does offer single pay as you go entry which is cool although it’s bloody expensive. Good gym though
Positive experience: The refurbished gym is good - plenty of machines, benches and equipment to go around …. however it can get a bit overcrowded at peak times but people are very friendly and polite so not really an issue of not getting something. It’s a noticeable step up from my old gym (Snap Fitness Windsor) in terms of what you get (gym, pool, sauna, activity courts), the price you pay (very competitive rates) and convenience of parking (ample amounts of parking available on site). Only thing lacking for Windsor leisure centre is cleanliness and better toilet / changing room facilities. But other than that it’s a solid establishment that I would highly recommend
Positive experience: I have taken the family here many times over the years. This visit was one of the better ones. We were there to use the leisure pool, and it was all operating and working correctly. There was cleaning actively being carried out in the locker and changing area during our visit, which was also positive. Overall, we enjoyed our hour there, and the children are excited to return in the future.
Positive experience: Four of us had some family fun in the wave pool and on the water slides today at Windsor. Then we enjoyed a picnic in the play park behind, near the river, where there's some good climbing to be had by an energetic 7 year old, also an exercise circuit which is rather run down. One observation, quite a bit of litter and the bins needed emptying, in the play park and around the car park.
Negative experience: As most reviews mention this place is dirty. I kept an open mind but when changing looked in 5 lockers all full of dirty old swim stuff and the place had only just opened so had been there a while. Also I found the parking to be quite expensive. Over 2 hours cost me over £8
Negative experience: The options locally are so poor so we do tend to come here to the pool, because there are 3 slides and the waves which my children enjoy. Today the main(favourite) ride was closed and it’s not the first time that we’ve gone there to find the slides/sauna are out of order. A little note/update on the webpage would be helpful when booking. I appreciate it’s an extra admin task but it’s nice to know what you’re paying for. It is so disappointing that the pool has returned to covid-type sessions (60 minutes), everyone is out and the whole pool is closed. If this continues they will need to reconsider the facilities, as there are subsequently queues for the 4 small showers at the end of the session. With that in mind, at least during covid everything was cleaned well/expected to be, but when we arrived the floors and changing rooms were filthy, looked like they hadn’t been cleaned all day. There was a staff member there evidently not doing a good job. I took one pic outside the changing room as it was disgusting. As well as the ticket price, you do have to pay for parking and a locker padlock (if you didn’t bring your own) and hairdryers! We will definitely reconsider again where we swim/ what we spend our leisure budget on next time as it didn’t seem worth what we paid.
Negative experience: My goodness what a mess! I have never seen the place so disgusting and filthy. We have all ended up with stomach bugs, my children and myself have been vomiting through catching a bug from this place. Dirt all over the changing rooms, little flies everywhere just disgusting. Such a shame as I just wanted my children to have a nice time and now all sick. They allow 200 people in this pool which they obviously can’t handle. Avoid !!!!!
Negative experience: Very busy. Insufficient changing cubicles to cope. Especially with everyone leaving the pool when their coloured wrist band time is up. Also disagree with their policy of men not being allowed to wear a t-shirt in the pool. Clearly this is sexist. The place is also a bit dirty.
Fantastic experience: The woman in charge of the membership desk at Windsor leisure is amazing! We had tried to join at Braywick but they were unable to do it and sent us to Windsor. We were so grateful for her helping set us up as members even tho they were suppose to close the desk and made the whole process stress free!! Thank you
Negative experience: Absolutely filthy changing rooms. We saw actual live bugs crawling around!!! Avoid at all costs. When we showed the manager, he casually said ‘they’re cleaning now, it must be from the drains’. He could not care less. We had to pay £4 for a padlock from the reception, for the lockers - no where was this advertised. Ridiculous! As well as parking being expensive. Pool was dirty. Plasters and bits of rubbish floating around. Will definitely NEVER return.
Fantastic experience: Gym with friendly and helpful staff. Good atmosphere and includes 2 swimming pools, sport halls for badminton/netball and activities you can attend hourly
Fantastic experience: It's hall and parking were used for a Charity Ticket Dance event Outside of club hours.. Clean well maintained & appointed well run club with community / society related spirit that clearly works in a dedicated, efficient and reliable manner that clearly outs itself out extensively to embrace every calling on its facilities and staff / management . They are dedicated and to be highly regarded and respected in the community by likeminded people as they clearly go above and beyond to embrace any expectation if them in a truly caring and highly professional manner rarely seen in club facility management today. IF the element I saw and have seen as i was there also before Xmas at another similar use of facilities event . I can only say this is twice sterling facilities have seen and noted on this side of the club. It is natural to anticipate that the same care as under the same management w sane parking etc exudes to the more entrap and major duties to the club. Windsor itself us truly fortunate to have such a gemstone habits heart . Thank you to the management who i am sure know the evening events i refer to. Yes a well deserved review based on two visits and utilisation of part of their fabulous extensive club site . IF your considering membership there I would indeed encourage any local to look no further you have come across as said ' a rare gem '. Thank you for listening.
Negative experience: Been a member for nearly 2 years and can safely say this place has been run into ground. They claim to clean the sauna/steam area for 6 hours a week but it’s all smoke and mirrors, you step foot into a swamp of stagnant water 2 minutes after the place was closed. I walk into sauna to find used plasters and bottle tops - this is after two hours of cleaning and closing the spa down for two hours. The sauna is at 45 degrees when you do actually get into it. The steam room is only switched on when a member of staff is reminded by a member to turn it on. The turnover of staff here is similar to what a McDonald’s would see. I have sent multiple emails and nothing has changed. The duty manager promised change over 6 weeks ago. I took a break from the gym and came back to find all of which was discussed has not been put into place…. A non-profit organisation that probably pays a board of directors a significant sum whilst the team on the ground are paid minimum wage. The worst run gym I have seen in my life and I can’t see how leisure focus fix this without having people on the ground that care.
Negative experience: The water in the pool was very dirty and in my opinion unsafe to swim in, especially for children. There were plasters, hair and other unpleasant things floating on the water. Absolutely disgusting!
Fantastic experience: A good place for a family holiday. We visit this place once every couple of months. Everything has always been satisfactory.
Negative experience: Avoid the pool at all cost. A child was sick at the top of the slide and the pool was not evacuated although the water flows into the main pool and this was contaminated and reported to them. The changing rooms are mouldy and very dirty.
Positive experience: Far too busy to enjoy. Changing rooms were dirty and the toilets were awful. Was told by a member of staff to hurry up as they wanted to clean them but they looked no different after. Disappointed first visit.
Positive experience: Great fun nice a warm changing rooms are a little bit grim at times and not enough showers
Positive experience: We go for swimming. It's an okay offering. There is a wave machine and a few slides. It always feels like it could do with being a few degrees warmer. The real issue though is the general maintenance and changing rooms, which don't ever seem to be cleaned. They are always dirty, often with the nappy bins overflowing. We've never seen anyone cleaning them and they feel generally grotty. It wouldn't take much to make the improvements needed. They seem to have enough staff.
Positive experience: I have brought members of the family for their training sessions at the gym. It looks like it has improved significantly in the past year, and recently, they upgraded the equipment, which offer a whole different experience. It's a shame, though, that parking costs a lot, even for members.
Fantastic experience: You will not meet a nicer, friendlier or higher quality gym team anywhere else. Without question, the best group I have ever met, and the facilities are fantastic in there too.
Positive experience: Nice leisure, great for children. Slides, waves and classes. Raj in the changing rooms is very friendly and helpful. Leisure centre could do with an upgrade but apart from that nice.
Positive experience: Need better front office staff, found them not friendly each time i visit. Not sure whether its because I don't fit into the local demographics. I wonder...
Positive experience: My two boys (4 &6) are learning to swim here. The teachers are really good with my boys and built up experience. Two weeks running they had all the water fountains on, this was distracting my youngest so we asked management and they turned it off.
Positive experience: Took my kids for a leisure swim today. Everything working and kids loved it. However the whole place was absolutely disgusting. No one cleaning, hair everywhere dozens of wrist bands on the flor. Just felt really grimey. Shame
Positive experience: Used to bring the children swimming here regularly but recently it seems very overcrowded. I know it's a popular pool because of the wave machine and slides but footfall seems to have significantly increased which makes swimming with a small baby quite difficult. Baby pool never seems to be open which is a shame. That being said, the children have still enjoyed it when we've been but they prefer to go to Maidenhead now as less crowded and much more space to swim. Would also be worth putting some money into updating the gym as it's nowhere near as good as Maidenhead. Always lots of parking available when we've been (apart from Queen's Jubilee weekend!!) Enjoyable for the children, just too overcrowded for me as an adult!
Fantastic experience: Best place to have all your workout , sports, hobbies and what not. The reception people / info desk are so informative and helpful. They have an indoor Swimming pool, Badminton courts, (please see the attached image) and Cafes. Plenty of Parking Place.
Positive experience: the pool is nice and clean, the experience is good if u don't bring a padlock tho you will have to buy one there the gym is good
