Amesbury Sports & Community Centre

Negative experience: Gym lacks any good equipment. More so just treadmills if anything. Got a membership but only use it in tidworth as even the durrington one is smaller than amesbury. Anymore than 10 people in the gym it becomes packed. Nice staff but horrible gym

Negative experience: Small gym, not a lot of equipment. Unfortunately, I got my membership before taking a look at the gym. But I will just use membership at five rivers in Salisbury instead because I hear their better. Staff nice tho

Positive experience: I only used the sports centre as a start and finish line for the Stonehenge Stomp. Seemed like a nice place. The coffee and bacon roll served upstairs were lush!

Fantastic experience: The facilities have vastly improved now, so decent selection of equipment compared with years gone by. Separating the free weights out from the CV was a huge success. The atmosphere is extremely friendly and that is all down to the staff, they are such nice people. Complete beginners will feel at home here because you don't get any of the snobbery some larger venues suffer from. I would highly recommend to anyone from any level to come try the gym.

Negative experience: Booked a gym induction & was told that an instructor from Tidworth would be making a special journey to Amesbury. This resulted in me having to turn down much needed overtime at work in order to keep my appointment. I waited 30 minutes for no one to turn up, resulting in me being unable to use the gym at all. I was given the ‘managers’ mobile number as the girl on reception agreed that this was totally unacceptable. Desire leaving 2 messages on his answerphone, I have yet to be acknowledged. Disappointed is an understatement.
