Negative experience: I am just not happy about saturday and sunday 4 o’clock is close

Negative experience: I love ymca it used to be nice everything the social worker everybody used to be helpful but right know I am really disappointed i am in cold room in my container house without a heater and after 3 weeks I have been told the heater is not working so they guy who fix it is in holiday so it might take a week or more and I have been offered tiny 2 inch fan what can I do with this I called so many times to my case worker but nothing helpful it’s really shame .

Positive experience: They have hand sanitizer stands everywhere but never fill it with any sanitisers. Shame. Helping people spread germs

Negative experience: Verry bad place to live staff don't care about the residents well being at all i belive they lie and Wright fake storys about you .... they hide behind jhon the manager they treat ppl like 2nd class citizens they just want your rent money and they offer no help to the residents they they need traing in mental health and the place is full of rats and human poo and wee coming out the celing and tolet am getting flooded always the govoment and the council need to go in ther and put some regulations on them # if u speak out they make u leave because they don't want to be closed down this place us unfit for human habitation and theyr policys and isim and skism z need to be looked at ...

Positive experience: Thank you for fixing my tap, all the staff especially the receptionist are very kind people and do try their best, but I do feel like something needs to be done regarding when maintenance is urgently required, please consider having a discussion regarding this as its extremely important we have things fixed as soon as possible, as sometimes this can cause a nuisance for tenants and staff. Thanks again for your service!!

Negative experience: Poor service terrible managers with no care no hot water for days and no one to talk to this place is infested with cockroaches and the staff do nothing about it. The heating is on whilst it is boiling outside but the hot water don’t work this place has no staff control and should be looked into by the government properly YMCA are providing a poor disgraceful service they should be ashamed of themselves

Positive experience: Not the most glamorous gym in the world but the staff are nice and polite, the place is clean enough, value fir money and mist of the machines work!

Negative experience: Hostel wise, easily one of the worst places to live. Little to no help and no respect for the well-being of the residents. I’m hoping that they have improved their support and resources because, the lack of assistance is abysmal. They do not deal with severe issues correctly and do not remove residents that are considered a danger. I would hear a man that lived above me mercilessly beating on his girlfriend at the time and when I reported it, the manager went on to tell people behind my back that I was a liar. They give you false promises on helping you to move out, if you don't put in the work yourselves, you will be left to rot there. often maintenance takes forever to come and when they do, they just walk into your room. Whole place is a cesspool, if you are currently livng there, please do everything in your power to leave.

Fantastic experience: YMCA gym Walthamstow is a great community gym. It’s been a lifesaver during COVID-19. Reception staff are friendly. Gym instructors are helpful and knowledgeable. The gym is easy to socially distance in as it’s on 3 levels, and you book your session so they’re not overcrowded. Going into tier 3 I am SO happy it’s still open for individual use.

Negative experience: I came into Ymca Walthamstow first day and Marcus Johnson decided to be microagressive towards trying to exercise authority and embarrass me in front of people when I simply asked a question his conduct was absolutely disgusting and unprofessional! Young people already go through alot people like this need to be reviewed and get proper training on how to speak to people. They need to have empathy and understanding or dont be in a job like this at all!

Positive experience: My wife attended here to donate blood. Was able to park and wait for her. Very COVID aware.

Its clean, well kept, with a good range of up to date equipment, regular classes, friendly, knowledgable and well qualified instructors and also had a dry sauna and full cafeteria to relax and refuel when you're done. Great local and low cost gym that offers discounts for local staff and students too.

Positive experience: I used to live here in the ymca, a long time ago now, but I use the gym here and I like it a lot, some staff keep them selves to themselves unless you need their help, but they're friendly there. The gym has some very good equipment and has all you need to get into shape. The showers could do with a little work in them, fixing up etc but still it's not terrible. Oh I see one of the reviews saying this place has a pool there, but they don't, they do have a nice little sauna in the locker room area though. For the prices they charge it's well worth what you pay.

Positive experience: Got a pool and gym, pretty basic but clean. Car park is way too small and you'll be lucky if you can park. Some staff are very rude, some are lovely. Cafe is reasonable but only open for food at certain times.

Positive experience: Cheap, especially as the gym has been renovated. Just need some more weight machines dotted around as people tend to monopolise these where they are on the ground floor.
