Hollins Hall Leisure Club

Negative experience: I recently called the spa to ask about booking a day pass for the pool and spa facilities and was told by a female staff member that we could get day passes on arrival. My cousin and I made the journey there, only to be met with extreme rudeness from the same staff member, who denied giving this information and insisted that bookings need to be made a year in advance. She was definitely the same woman we spoke to over the phone, as her voice was the same and she confirmed she was the only female working that day. Despite showing proof of the call, she continued to deny it and made us feel very uncomfortable. Her attitude seemed racially motivated as we were treated differently, likely due to my hijab or us being asian. Extremely disappointed with the discriminatory behaviour and poor customer service.

Negative experience: Despite a ruling of no phones at the poolside once again today there was a man using his phone to take pictures of his family. Nothing to stop him taking pictures of others. When I went to report this to staff on the so called emergency phone there was no answer. Just as well no one was In trouble In the pool.

Fantastic experience: Solo spa day from Groupon. Definitely recommend. Staff brilliant and customer service level exceptional. Had a 25 min treatment. Facial really relaxing. Food was really nice and filling. Good portions. Will definitely come back again

Negative experience: Massively disorganised. Treatment was OK but I stated I wanted to relax but the therapist spoke the whole way through

Positive experience: Lovely day and facilities.. lovely massage and bar area....only negative point of any was the amount of treadmill machines that were not working but still managed a workout

Negative experience: Disappointed with the state of the course ,expected better,fairways full of mud greens quick but poor condition.

Negative experience: Is this place going under? Seem to be no staff, they've closed the bar and restaurant in the sports centre, the Jacuzzi was smelly and green with toilet paper floating in it. The staff also don't seem to bothered about service. Paid for a years membership for me and wife nearly £2k.

Negative experience: I have been a member of the leasure club for a year now .. over this period the standard has dropped dramatically! Whilst the staff are welcoming and lovely .The standard of cleanliness has dropped the times of opening are more standard everyday gym .. and not hotel country club ..When I 1st joined I could say Hollins Hall is lovely.. it's open until 11 pm you get a complimentary towel when you go in .. it's exclusive.. as a country club should be ! ..Sadly none of this has been upheld.. and subsequently.. a huge percentage of members paying for this service have recently gone .. If you want a country club experience this is not the place to come.. having said that if you enjoyed Butlins as a child you may enjoy the revised standard .

Positive experience: Spa could do with Refurb and swimming lessons were on so not so private to relax and paid extra £5 for Saturday spa deal. Also was meant to be cup cakes only to be offered scones. Which were nice but if you know we were booked in why not have any . Treatment was lovely and jacuzzi was hot and nice just busy.

Fantastic experience: The people are great. Nice staff. The golf course is incredible. Good facilities. Nice gym. The rooms are terrific. Kind of out of the way. But cab ride to railway easy.

Positive experience: Eaten here several times ...food is spot on but extremely over priced ....gym and pool is clean and well maintained and not to busy ...changing rooms are spacious and clean
