Positive experience: The gym itself is ok, has the equipment I need. The treadmills are often out of order for long periods of time. However, the closing time is why I am leaving this Gym. Closes at 18:00 on weekends. Has had awful opening times over Christmas and new year period and hasn’t communicated this to customers.

Negative experience: I swam today in Horsham pavillions and was concerned with the side of the pool water marks it was really grubby and greasy looking I also noticed it last Saturday , I ask at reception on way out how often this was cleaned and she assured me once a week, well going on last week and this week it looked as if it had not been done, it is very off putting when swimming back and forth seeing it. Such a shame as everywhere else is clean and tidy.

Positive experience: App is awful. Shocking in fact. Website is a tiny bit better, at least login works. Navigation and usability must have been tested with blind lab rats. Still less pain to go to desk.... and wait for someone to turn up and serve you... seriously... 5mins wait... I whipped out the phone and started fighting the website again! The people (once appeared) are lovely, helpful, kind. Thank you. The pool is ok... 25m, with a variable height deep end. Changing rooms could do with upgrade; they were oddly designed from the outset, with pooling (no pun intended!) water and no drains in cubicles. Watch you step.

Negative experience: Went here a few weeks ago pool wasn't clean and could tell it wasn't fresh water not many life guards traffic light system slide didn't work with kids going down when light red floaties were not very nice condition won't go here again

Negative experience: Gym is very small and closes at 6pm on a saturday despite the membership being very pricey. The facities are not looked after especially the Pool, their lockers are predominately broken meaning many loose keys without wristbands. The changing areas smell like urine and there are flies all over the walls. Generally the staff are friendly but new customers would be better going somewhere else. Theres a much more reasonable price Gym in town with better equipment open longer hours.

Negative experience: From the reviews I thought the soft play would be great. Unfortunately not the case, it was small doesn’t have any free flow of air no windows there’s one door which is on a button release so it’s hot, a few chairs as you walk in, would be suitable for toddlers - 7 years, not suitable for babies as struggle to get round due to multiple children running around and hardly no room to pass someone. I won’t be visiting again would rather travel a bit further out to Brighton Crawley or Horley

Fantastic experience: Lovely main pool, light and airy. Changing rooms very clean.
Fantastic experience: Very nice now the pool has been refurbished. It looks a lot better than previous years when the corrosion was seen on metal supports. The pool coating is updated so feels less slippery and brighter.
Negative experience: Why after a new paint job is the paint peeling off everywhere?? The new paint etc on the outside has given it a more prison yard feel (great if you're into that) and whatever they've covered the outside ledge bit with is rough and great for scraping the little kids Also the lazy river was so lazy it was not moving at all . May now be swapping to the triangle instead

Negative experience: Pool is filthy. I know they are about to close for two months for maintenance but no excuse for all the black bits floating and algae on the floor. Disgusting.

Negative experience: Absolutely appalling! Don't bother trying to contact the Pavilions via phone. Yesterday I was on hold for 45 minutes with no answer, similar story again today. According to the website the centre isn't busy yet they are too busy to pick up a phone!!! It would have been quicker to get in my car & speak to someone in person. I shall take my business elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Only posting using the car park, having to park here as horsham hospital is crazy and the kids wanting to go in the park. It's council run?/owned. I have the autopay app so super easy as the barriers know me and just charge my registered card. You can also pay at the machines at the exit, there's two.
Positive experience: It’s ok, pool is ok but not amazing for the price. Changing rooms are nice and fairly clean in comparison. Cafe unfortunately isn’t very big and very little seating, wanted to give my two kids lunch before our swimming session only to have to sit on the floor by the entrance as there were no chairs or tables available.

Positive experience: Good facilities, friendly atmosphere. Just be careful if starting a 12 month contract. I have tried to cancel my membership early as have nerve damage in my hand from a rugby injury. The website redirects you to a finance company called harlands. They are terrible. Sent them documents of my letters from surgeon including the diagnosis and a sick note from my GP. They refused twice as it doesn't specifically say I cannot go to the gym for three months, that will cost as not covered by NHS

Fantastic experience: My grandchildren absolutely love going to the toddler gymnastics session on a Thursday morning. Such a safe space to run, hang, balance and bounce. I look forward to a coffee and snack from the cafe. Such friendly staff and reasonably priced.

Negative experience: Filthy scum mark around the waterline of the main pool and detritus on the steps into it too. When was it last cleaned? When is it going to be cleaned next? Friendly staff at reception, who explained everything clearly.

Negative experience: Had trouble getting mobility scooter in to corridor which was cluttered with work equipment the changing room smelled was was locked and flies in it everywhere wasn't able to shower when left building no facilities to go from the sauna to the swimming pool had to get changed and go back down stairs and through the other side found very unconvenient inconvenience

Negative experience: Great gym and health suite let down by poor staff communication/attitude. On a regular basis the health suite will be randomly closed for one reason or another, this being despite checking the website for any closures etc so you end up having a wasted trip. Have emailed twice about this issue but over a month later no response. The message from the staff/management is "not bothered". On a side note why are lifeguards allowed to wear non poolside footwear in the pool areas? Pointless telling Joe Public to take shoes off or wear covers only for your own staff to chin it off! Have several family members signed up (gym, swimming lessons etc) but am seriously thinking about cancelling the lot.

Positive experience: I like the pool itself, but the booking system is atrocious which is a real turn off. The timetable for swimming is mysterious, so you can't swim when you want; and the website is labyrinthine, so finding out when it's open and how to book is needlessly complicated.

Fantastic experience: The Pavilion has a large swimming pool and a small one for children. A well-equipped sports hall, a children's playroom, a cafe and a huge parking.

Fantastic experience: Gym has recently been refurbished with new machinery.... not that I'd know what the old stuff looked like. Joined about 4 years ago, but the lure of the Health Suite was too strong. I have recently started using the Gym and I have to say, always clean and the staff are really helpful and friendly. Just wish someone would do the workout for me.

Negative experience: When they don’t set your direct debit up as instructed, and then charge you an extortionate admin fee. Harlands collection services are crooks tbh. Shouldn’t be allowed to operate in such away. Places Leisure should be ashamed to be associated with such a company.

Fantastic experience: What a great place to take the grandkids. So much for the kids to do. Absolutely brilliant swimming pool. So beautiful and warm. They love the idea of being able to swim to the outside area. Good changing room facilities and you need a pound coin for the lockers.

Negative experience: Don't waste your time trying to call them. I've just spent 30 minutes on the phone listening to the "all our staff are busy please hold" I was so intrigued how busy as I want to talk about memberships so went drove the 8 minutes down (still on the phone) and walked straight up to the desk. Where Henry (name on badge) and a second staff memeber were huddled around 1 desk. I pointed out I was still on the phone and questioned who did the calls go through to? To be told "Oh, if we are busy we just switch them off" Thanks Henry your dedication to your role is just the epitome of modern day customer service. I am sorry I inconvenienced you with questions about giving money to this business.

Negative experience: Surprisingly difficult to get to swim unless you want to do lanes (I am trying to work my swimming up to more than a couple of lengths in one go, so no lanes for me until I can. Only I can't practice...). Told no swimming after 5:45 in the week? So if you work, no swimming for you! Went to K2 instead

Positive experience: Fantastic leisure pool and would definitely be revisiting. However The scum line around the edge of the pool is not very pleasant to see, neither are the rusting handrails or the plasters and bits of detritus floating around in the pool it's definitely unpleasant, and I can't understand for the life of me why you can't use the main pool if you're in the leisure pool, especially as the main pool was empty. Also, I'm getting a little bit fed up of these venues being run by kid's that don't really give a dam about customer service, It's like they don't actually want to be there. Also I never understand why they build these places and then charge so much for us to use them yet don't maintain them to any kind of good standard.

Negative experience: I have tried to take my kids swimming over the last two days. The first time we arrived we where told that the pool was closed due to the time and the second we where told that we should book due to being full. We where not told on our first visit that we now need to book and instead the lady behind the desk told us to come back the next day whilst the leisure pool was open and we would be let in. When we arrived the next day, the customer service rep (I use that term very loosely here) unprofessionally told us that he couldn't do anything and to book online and didn't offer us the chance to book then and there for tomorrow. Nowhere on their website does it say that you must book and that you can't enter without doing so. It is also not advertised inside or outside the building. To add insult to injury, the prices that are advertised online (including HDC's website) are currently almost £2 cheaper per ticket than what you will be asked to pay when you book through their website. All of this run-around could have been saved if we where told on our first visit to book, instead I now have two very upset children and have waisted our time and money getting to the centre twice.
Positive experience: The pool can become incredibly busy with a lot of people. The pools themselves are a really good size but there is not a lot to do for middle sized children.
Negative experience: I visited today with my two sons, it’s been a few years since we last visited. It’s such a shame that money hasn’t been spent on looking after this place, the paint was peeling, the pillars rusty & the general cleanliness was really lacking. What was once a lovely centre, is now quite disappointing.

Fantastic experience: Lovely day out, full off adventure, love the park, but went for the high places activity, climbing wall, obstacles obviously up high, jumping off the platform was scary, its like a mini go ape, it actually is harder then looks, but we had such a laugh and drained afterwards, worth a visit if your a outdoors active person

Positive experience: This place is great! Me and my son love the swimming pool here. The only reason I've given it 4 instead of 5 starts is because you now have to book to swim, for whatever reason, so be warned! We live 45 minutes drive away, and got turned away at the counter (quite unceremoniously, but you can't really be upset about that because the staff are all kids).

Fantastic experience: Fun swimming pool for all ages. The inside leisure pool leads to an outside heated pool with gentle rapids and room to swim around and there is a slide inside.

Negative experience: £17 for 1 adult and 2 young kids with overflowing bins in changing rooms, dirty toilets, sand around the baby splash pool edges and a water feature that according to staff “hasn’t worked for ages,” a lazy river that has no flow but does have bolts sticking out from the walls to catch swimmers on, and stairs to the slide covered in litter and with pools of water so old they have new algal growth floating in them! To add to this the visible scum line around the tiles is a real feature. More of a health hazard than a pleasant swimming experience. I won’t be rushing back.

Fantastic experience: Kids swim lessons here are excellent value for money. Great to see a proper teaching pool for younger swimmers, separate from distraction of the leisure pool and the larger pool. Kids are treated with respect and make clear progress. I'm really happy we chose here.

Positive experience: First time in here, and generally it's very good. It's well looked after, clean and bright. The pool looks good, and if I ever use it, I'll rate it. This is a place to revisit, because it does look good. Certainly those using it were having a good time. One thing I'm not sure about is the 'cashless' cafe. Service is very good, and a good selection of sandwiches and crisps. Why cashless??? Any parent dropping an older child off would have to give them a packed lunch, since the children won't have credit cards. Seems a bit short-sighted... There's an excellent soft play area, very varied but horribly spoiled by older children running riot, screaming and fighting. No supervision by parents, unfortunately, and a lot of younger children were frightened by their antics. Perhaps a warning notice, that physically unruly children will be removed. Not fair that they were dominating the play area. Difficult to remonstrate with someone else's children, be very helpful if a member of staff passed through every so often, to ensure the experience was enjoyable for all ages. Overall a positive place. A year or more later, and still no supervision or checking..shame, really because everything else is still very good!

Negative experience: Try phoning reception and you will almost never get through and be on hold forever until you give up. Their main pool website information is not detailed enough so when you see a lane swim session they don’t tell you they have corralled you into two lanes because most of the pool is used up by a solitary learner. It is clear their priority are clubs and getting that money instead individual needs. Also I cannot use my swim saver card in any of the other West Sussex pools. Terrible staff. Terrible attitudes and overall a bad place to choose for swimmers

Positive experience: Need to remortgage your house to pay for parking if you're at an event there for the day, although you might be able to find off road parking a couple of miles away. Otherwise venue was nice.
Fantastic experience: Cafe ladies always friendly and helpful, come here just for cafe with kids sometimes as very children friendly. More healthy options and non dairy milk latte etc options would be a good improvement as lacks that currently. General facilities good value. Only issue was when baby changing toilet was out of order for ages and only alternative upstairs which difficult with pram etc.
Positive experience: The leisure pool is great and a lovely area for children to play in, with the added benefit of an outside area too. My only 'complaint' is that the policy of not wearing shoes into the changing areas is not adhered to by quite a few people and the staff just ignore it. The floors in the hanging area were pretty dirty when we went. In addition , the benches for shoes needs a rethink. With lack of space for 40 us pairs of shoes, they were just stacked on the bench. In summary, more cleanliness, stricter control of people waking in with shoes and a rethink on the footwear removal area.
Positive experience: Ths swimming pool is nice but the cleniness of the changing rooms is questionable. The smell of strong urine, mud from shoes being worn when they shouldn't and bits of food and food packets on the changing rooms floor.
Negative experience: Staff seem clueless at how a steam room works (cold with no steam) some maintenance staff are very awkward and rude £11.50 expensive for a sauna steam jacuzzi lucky if 2 of 3 work
Negative experience: Staff are friendly, attentive and helpful. Facilities are out date, health suite always seems to have something closed. Problems with the plumbing means intermittent hot water. Generally it needs a deep clean in some area's it smells of urine. Will have to think about canceling my new membership as I have yet had a visit without strife !! No offer of a refund even though they are not porviding the agreed service
Negative experience: Even tho the classes and gym is great, there’s ALWAYS something broken or out of use. I can’t remember the last time when everything in the “spa” was functioning. They always take so much unnecessary time to fix things!
Positive experience: We like this place. Been swimming here a few times now. Shame the water slide wasn't working this time but can't always be working I suppose. Was quite crowded and not able to swim properly. Is the big pool blocked off from causal swimmers all the time nowadays? It's never been open every time I've been here!
Fantastic experience: Friendly staff, clean facilities, good parking on site. Love the aqua classes.
Positive experience: Weirdly the slide doesn't to work one day a week maybe it is cleaned on that day but staff are very helpful
Negative experience: Been many times never so disappointed. No flume. No waterfall. The filtration can’t be working properly the water was full of hairs And I’m afraid it’s filthy particularly the water mark. Like a dirty bath. That’s not refurbishment that’s lack of cleaning. A good scrub is what it all needs. We didn’t stay in long felt dirty
Positive experience: Getting a bit old around the edges, needs an update. A bit small compared to other swimming pools. Warm water, and good changing area. Nice that our family could watch us from the cafe. But also a bit creepy to have other people watch us swim.
Positive experience: Normally have a great time at the pool. Booked a swim in the leisure pool for 4 as a birthday treat for my daughter. We were told the steam wasn't available which was fine. Once in, we found the slide wasn't running as, according to the lifeguard we asked, it was broken. The waterfall also wasn't working, the current for the outside bit wasn't on for the first 45 minutes and the learner pool was out of use due to swimming lessons, even though there was only one child swimming at one point. Very disappointing, especially as we weren't told and still charged the same amount to go in.
Positive experience: Great parking, grandchildren aged 4 & 6 enjoyed soft play and swimming in all of the different pools, even outside pool. Cafe in building but payment by card only, which I found disappointing as like to pay by cash especially when encouraging grandchildren to pay and learn about money. Would definitely be going back
Negative experience: Dirty, poor service, avoid. Better places to go

Positive experience: A place with great changing rooms, showers and locker rooms which all seemed fairly clean. The Jacuzzi in the pool was nice and it's nice to have an outdoor pool that leads directly to the indoor pool. It could do with a bit of refurbishment. The slide however was great fun and the staff also seem nice.
Fantastic experience: Lovely place. Shame slides where not available. Still had a nice time with the grandchildren
Positive experience: So we booked online as we (family of 2 over 8th and 2 adults ) thought it would be busier.. here is the issue.. the family ticket firstly is for either the big pool or the fun pool but you can't switch in between? I'd love to get. A couple of lanes in if I could whilst my kids can have some fun in the fun pool. They are old enough and good swimmers. Secondly on arrival we were greeted by a sign rendering the slide non usable.. what? You can't advertise that on the site before the tickets sre bought? Well we have had an hour and it was OK if busy as the main pool had a gals thing going on and was closed to the public swimming.. not sure I want to go back in a hurry.. sorry
Fantastic experience: Took my 1,3 and 7 year olds. Had such a great day. We used the soft play, cafe and swimming pool. Everything was fantastic and having a park right outside is such a bonus.
Positive experience: It was first time swimming after the lock down so was really looking forward to it. We had a good swim and it felt very safe with the number of people there. Shame the slide was closed. One criticism was the ladies loos only had one working toilet which I understand had been out of order for over a week.
Positive experience: Staff are generally miserable and the pool is rather dirty. the health suite is in a completely different location to the healths suite making a swim and sauna a difficult task. considering the prices this place could do better but it is what it is.
Positive experience: Lovely pools indoor and out, locker room was dirty when we went, pool has a jacuzzi , children's pool, deep water pool but there was a club on so we weren't unable to use it. Centre runs many clubs so ideal if you want to enrol
Negative experience: I took my children here yesterday and we were very disappointed. My 3 year old daughter was too short to go on the flume alone. I was told I couldn't go down with her as they have a 1 person on the slide rule, although they couldn't give me a good reason why. Most places we've visted before have always let me do this so I was a little surprised and I has a very sad daughter. This wouldn't have been so bad if they had provided some play equipment for younger children. The pool designed for toddlers had 1 small water table that was swarming as it was the only thing to play with. The jacuzzi in the toddler area was full of teenage children so my daughter couldn't get a look in. I was also quite shocked with how dirty the whole place was. In the toddler pool there were big piles of grit and dirt all around the edges. I couldn't even guess what it was but it had the consistency of very rough sand. The steps to the flume were very unplesent with pools of green slime sitting in stagnant water. The metal poles on the bannister were badly rusted and all the paint was very badly chipped. The windows were very water stained and didn't look like they had been cleaned in a very long time. There were also lots of leaves floating around the inside pool. Outside was quite fun until we realised the advertised lazy river wasn't working. I also found the staff on reception to be quite abrupt and dismissive. No smiles and very unwelcoming. The floor was very slippery and despite walking slowly and holding my hand my daughter lost her footing several times and only escaped hurting herself as she was holding my hand. This is a serious safety issue. The park outside was lovely as was the play area but unfortunately we will not be visiting the pool again.
Positive experience: Nice swimming pool and gym. Changing rooms and showers are always a bit mucky. More evening and weekend exercise classes would be beneficial. Membership is quite expensive especially as you also have to pay for parking.
Negative experience: You have to buy two tickets to swim a few lengths and go down a tube? Expensive. Only one tube. Ermmm. Bubble rack - not working. Lazy river - not working. Bubbly area indoors - not working. Leaves and litter around the pool outside area. And the ‘welcome’ at the front desk distinctly not welcoming!
Fantastic experience: Pretty good! Nice and warm, even outside in storm Trevor, just enough to keep the little ones entertained (8 & 3yo)
Positive experience: Swimming is great, outside section is heated so lovely in this cold weather. Good choice of drinks and food from the cafe.
Positive experience: Taking grandkids there, they love it a lot in the leisure waters. Only gripe is there wasn't any food in their cafe, been like that for a while now. Guess they aren't ordering enough
Positive experience: Went for a family swim here. Sadly changing room floor is dirty. No fault of the operation, just lazy people not following directions of putting shoes on outside the swimming/changing area or using shoe covers. The leisure waters area is in need of renovation. Hand rails are going rusty, outside area needed a sweep and loads of discarded wrist band either floating in the pool or laying on the sides of the pool.
Positive experience: Limited access to the leisure pool meant it wasn't crowded which was good. However the water and the room itself were really cold. I appreciate there's an outside access point, but when exiting the pool to return to the changing area it was unconformably cold.
Positive experience: Staff are lovely & the gym is great. The pool area could be really lovely- but is looking a bit worn & some of the features no longer work like the whirlpool bit outside. It is, however, my favourite pool just a shame the parking is so expensive!
