Fantastic experience: Great gym, Steam room's.

Negative experience: I used to think this gym was good until I went to another Everlast gym in Newcastle. My god the equipment and facilities is shocking compared to Newcastle and the price is even cheaper. I’m guessing it’s due a refurb but the fact they painted the walls gym black recently I’m guessing it’s not gonna happen anytime soon. I guess that’s our refurb.

Negative experience: Gym is ok been going a while now poor services for members who go on an evening.Classes keep getting taken off and when there is a core weekly group of 10+ people who come for the classes show up it shouldn't be hard to have a member of staff cover it when there are several sat at the desk. Poor planning

Negative experience: The gym itself is OK, a little run down, not maintained regularly. However the main point is the parking, if you like a steam room after a long workout the there may be £100 parking fine winging it's way to you as you have gone overtheparkinglimit. The parking is a bit of a con.

Fantastic experience: Great location plenty of space will mint machines and waits. Pool and steam room top I off perfectly

Negative experience: Thought I would give this gym a try as my current gym isnt doing it for me anymore. I used a free pass and immediately upon entering the gym I was suprised to see so many treadmills, like literally 20-30 treadmills? I then moved to the weights area and saw the dumbells went up to 50kg which I thought was good. Unfortunately the weights seem to be ancient (10 years old?), as the grips are all worn out and so difficult to use. I then moved to the machines and discovered the machines, in particular the cable machine and racks, seem to have just been randomly dumped without any thought as to how easy it would be for people to use. I tried to use the smith machine but this was faulty, and given that this gym has ONE smith machine, I had to try find something else. Eventually I found myself frustrated and ended up leaving after not being able to do my full range of exercises. Needless to say I wont be joining this Everlast gym, the lack of machines (ONE BROKEN SMITH MACHINE?!), worn out dumbells with no grips, and TWO cable machines vs 30 treadmills, means this gym is maybe suitable for a very casual gym user. For anyone looking to take weightlifting at all seriously, you should find a better gym.

Fantastic experience: Great service from signing online to walking in the gym. Lovely staff and go the extra mile with a great phone call with the Assistant manager Regan checking to see how I got on. Will be signing up in the coming week !!

Positive experience: Only use this place as a venue for my sons swimming lesson, plenty of parking, pool good size, has 1 disabled/family room which is great for me and my son. I haven't used the gym so can't comment on equipment etc

Negative experience: Gym staff are friendly but facilities in pool and sauna not maintained. I was also charged £100 fine for over staying parking as max limit was 2 hours, this was not made clear during the joining process

Positive experience: Having read recent reviews I was skeptical about signing up to the gym, however after using the free day pass, I signed up for the 12mth contract. Pros - Value for money in comparison to other gyms in the area Cons - Agree with other reviews the changing rooms do need an upgrade, the A/C wasn't turned on for every unit (It is May...), one of the benches was wobbly. Overall, a good gym for anyone looking to work out.

Fantastic experience: After reading several bad reviews when looking into joining this gym I thought I'd leave a review myself...loads of reviews mentioned bad equipment and falling apart, after joining ang having my first work out this evening I was pleasantly surprised how clean and new the equipment actually was. The pool looked great and changing rooms spot on. Genuinely think you get alot for your money. Can't wait to keep using my membership

Negative experience: Gym overcrowded, equipment broken, steam room overcrowded with 30+ people trying to Get in, swimming pool full of swimming lesson. Clearly they are prioritising profit over member experience avoid at all cost!

Negative experience: If I could leave zero stars I would. I’ve been a member here for 7/8 years and nothing has been refurbished since then. The pool is impossible to swim in as you get 1/3 and the other 2/3’s are for private swimming lessons. The jacuzzi’s are broken constantly and so is the air conditioning. It’s honestly a joke and needs sorting asap, the only good thing about this gym is the location and staff. The cleanliness of the gym is also very poor, the pool and changing area’s need a full refurb as they are at least 20 years old. It’s seems as if since Everlast took over this gym they only care about making more money and not member satisfaction.

Fantastic experience: Just bought my new gym membership with Everlast and the team really made me feel at home and even gave me a free Personal Training session upon signing up with the lovely Amber. Kit looks great, pool is perfect for getting the lengths in and shredding the Xmas fat from my massive Xmas dinner

Negative experience: AVOID THIS GYM ! ! ! ! 1. Incline Bench Press has been Broke ever since I’ve started. 2. The Back Machine cables are Stiff & if You use lightweight they get Trapped. 3. There’s no Punch Bag as Described. 4. Calf Machine Rubber leaver is Broken 5. Changing rooms caked in muck so when you come out of showers you’re walking bare foot into it (even though you’ve got a cleaner/caretaker walking up and down constantly) 6. Male staff members bad attitude, rude, no manners and need knocking down a peg or two (once had male staff member gritting teeth at me) (Told male staff member floor needs cleaning in changing room got funny with me) 7. Steam Room is super unhygienic 8. No Jacuzzis 9. Can’t swim in the pool because there’s too many swimming classes on so you’ve got 1 lane a full gym has to share 10. Air Conditioning is never on I could list another 10 reasons why I’ve left and wouldn't Recommend this Gym, You want Me to carry on? Was paying £40 a month too just so I wasn’t in a contract, For a run down Gym like that is Crazy. Only reason I did it was because I train all over UK and I was in that area for a wile and needed a Gym. I’m also really known on social media with My training so I was waiting for to get another Cocky comment or Attitude back like I did from the staff Members so I can expose The Gym from all the Videos/Evidence I’ve got on social media from My Bad Experiences, But don’t really want to do that.

Positive experience: Great value for money gym. Employees are friendly, knowledgeable and always happy to see you. The only reason it's not 5 stars is there's often a bit of a wait for things to get fixed but, I suspect, is more due to a regional management issue than this specific branch. Good range of equipment and classes and well trained/experienced PTs. All this with the additional benefit of having a decent swimming pool, not many places can boast that for £30 or less a month. I've seen a few managers over the 6 years I've trained here but the current team is definitely top notch. Kudos to Josh and the reception team specifically.

Also ladies showers are full of black mold and not security mindful at all,anyone can walk in..pick your game up,needs that ceiling repaired ASAP and get rid of the black mold in the showers,womens area needs to be far more secure too.

Negative experience: This gym has really gone downhill since Everlast took over!! Its dirty, dingy (black floor, black ceiling and grey walls - black/grey equipment), old equipment - half of which needs repairs. TVs have all been switched off 2 Jacuzzis turned off Steam room on a low setting Half the showers don't work!! The older age groups have all left Full of young lads now! training in groups! Equipment is old and tired - Everlast??? should be more NEVERLASTS!!!! Cancelled my membership!!!

Fantastic experience: The gym staff at “Everlast Gym” is incredibly friendly. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere. The staff members are always available to assist and answer any questions I have, making me feel comfortable and supported throughout my workouts.

Negative experience: Not the best equipment and the weights are lighter than what they actually say however steam room and swimming pool is good

Negative experience: Equipment is old! Requires maintaining which it isn’t, far too many machines broken at one time. Layout of the gym doesn’t work, gym users using the cable machine block part of the gym when in use. Showers and changing rooms require updating. Gym is in disrepair and needs a good refurb soon before it loses all its members. Apart from that staff are very good and helpful.

Fantastic experience: Really loving last 3 weeks new Dance Fit class with Amber. Great variety of different tacks each week really helping some of us older members moving n grooving!

Negative experience: This gym is a total let down I’ve been a member for just over 12 months and all I have seen is a steady decline the changing rooms are filthy the showers are hit and miss the hot tubs don’t work the parents stand on the poolside with outdoor shoes on because it’s very rare overshoes are provided. The established PT instructors who have worked hard to keep a loyal following have now left therefore the class timetable has declined even the busy classes that brought 15 plus every week have been removed from the timetable to be replaced by classes that have no interest. The staff do try their best to give but it’s clear they have no decision making powers to change things. I would not recommend this gym to anyone in its current state

Amber’s classes are brilliant, they are different everyday and great for building strength and fitness. Anyone wanting to enjoy going to the gym should definitely do these. Positive experience: I have been a member here for a couple of years. Unfortunately, I have not been well since October last year, so I have hardly been. However, I have still paid my membership every month. I have had an operation and am not even allowed to drive my car for 10 days, so i cancelled. But a discharge letter from the hospital stating I have had this operation and that I shouldn't be exercising is not good enough I have to get a letter from the doctor saying not to exercise, this relay of emails I have found upsetting as I can not even get to my doctors. When I can start back at the gym I will not be joining here again as I am a human being with feelings and if Everlast as a company will not except a discharge letter from the hospital after a surgical procedure as evidence and want someone to go through more emotional and mental stress they are not a company I want to rejoin.

Negative experience: Jacuzzis now all switched off and never to be put back on, pool is usually very very warm, staff not helpful at times and dismiss complaints. Desk is usually not manned and you have to shoot someone hiding in the back if you need to be seen to (gympass etc). The 2 stars is for the steam room, which since being fixed works a treat, but I won't be returning like lots of others who have cancelled their membership as no jacuzzis.

Negative experience: Don’t join! Worst gym ever! Make sure you get a copy emailed to you on the T&Cs! Horrible customer service and horrible experience when you want to cancel rolling membership, app never works and they don’t assist in cancellation, they will continue to take payments and blame errors on their poor technical systems. Used to be a good gym but has gone down the pan since management changed. Facilities are v poor and dirty. No maintenance at all.

Negative experience: Worst gym ever! Air con blows out warm air, half the equipment is broken or old and everything's filthy. The jacuzzi's broken and the refusing to pay for it. The staff are unhelpful for basic information and many of the time rude.

Negative experience: Unclean, steam room has mould everywhere, tiling is disgusting throughout, keep hearing refurbishment but it’s been months if not a few years but nothing has happened. I’d avoid and go elsewhere. The gym equipment has dust settled on various places it’s really dirty and unpleasant. Shower facilities never work properly and jacuzzi sometimes not on or one of them only on. Paying for a service which you don’t get your monies worth why charge for something you don’t receive ? Got told only 2 staff working so hard to maintain the standards, not good enough in terms of hygiene and cleanliness !

Fantastic experience: Great place, Regan offered me a great tour with lots of knowledge, free PT session too which I’ll be sure to use!

Negative experience: Does not look after loyalty and would rather gift new members. Wanting to increase membership numbers without increasing equipment (long waiting times at equipment). Equipment takes forever when waiting for repairs. Just to name a few avenues that require attention
