Fantastic experience: I have been a member since moving virtually next door many years ago so very convenient.Senior membership very good value and most equipment now updated. Yes it’s not David Lloyd facilities but it’s an honest gym with excellent trainers who are very dedicated and I personally I have also found the reception polite and helpful.

Negative experience: I recently moved to the area and decided to try out this gym for the first time. Upon arriving, I was greeted by somewhat indifferent staff at the front desk. When I expressed interest in trying out the facilities, they promptly charged me and let me in without providing any orientation. I had to navigate and discover the layout of the gym, including finding lockers and bathrooms, entirely on my own. The only positive aspect was the affordable trial fee of just 5 pounds. This place has a lot of potential but I decided to join somewhere else.

Fantastic experience: Good stuff

Positive experience: Friendly gym, helpful staff in a fairly large old drill hall. Not everything works, but it all works enough. Never full and never macho.

Negative experience: £61.95 for a gym which has most of the machines out of order. No heating. Dirty and smelly. Useless management.

Positive experience: Good gym. The equipment is a bit dated (and some machines are in need of replacing) but it has all you need. It's never crazy busy which is nice and has an "all are welcome" feel so isn't an intimidating place to exercise. Staff are friendly and helpful. Good recent renovation to the basement area and stretch area.

Positive experience: As someone who works in the Industry, jubilee Hall Gyms have always been very impressive. They pay their Staff well, and Instructors are very knowledgeable and the teaching standards in their classes is at a very high standard. The comparison with cheap chain Gyms is a silly one. Cheap chain Gyms have many hours in the day were they are completely unmanned, Staff are paid very little, the standards of cleaning and tidyness can be terrible. And For Hampstead, this Gym is competitively priced.

Fantastic experience: I'm a new member. Really enjoying the vibe and gears here. Perfect location for early hours and after school workouts.

Fantastic experience: Love this gym! Great classes and welcoming atmosphere with people of all ages. Gorgeous Victorian windows let lots of light in.

Fantastic experience: Just a great gym. Love the vibe, while the weights and equipment are not cutting edge and it could probably do with bigger/better matted area, its a nice spot and has good character. Review Edit: They have renovated and sorted the additional space for mat work.

Positive experience: Well situated, a little too crammed for my liking

Fantastic experience: Very good gym. I used this on a day pass as my work gym is closed at the weekend. Has all the equipment you need, even a hamstring machine which is rare these days. Lots of free weights. Both staff and members keep the gym very tidy. Fairly quiet, no queues for equipment. Will use again!

Positive experience: 4 stars because there is no class before 9 am and classes on the evening are always fully booked. Eric classes are amazing!

Fantastic experience: I joined this gym at the beginning of June 2022. Whilst the interiors (female changing rooms in particular) are very tired, and the studio for classes could do with a few more fans! :)… the friendly, welcoming and super helpful team there, more than make up for that in my opinion. There are ample machines and free weights in the gym, a spinning studio and the studio for classes is huge with all the different equipment you could ever need for any of their classes and natural daylight and fresh air coming in which is a big plus! Coming onto their classes, I was very impressed with the varied classes and timetable they offer and the app you can use to book them is very slick! Two stand out classes for me are the yoga (Andrew) and Zumba (Keisha) - I have been to SO many different versions of these at various locations in the past but theses two instructors are the best I’ve ever been to by a long shot!! Thanking the whole team there for making me feel so welcome!!

Positive experience: The Armoury Gym is great yet super pricey in my opinion. It is very clean so you can understand that the money you'd be paying put to good use and it is also well-equipped. There is a wide range of cardio machines and weight-training equipment, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this gym to anyone who is looking for a great workout but don't be surprised about the price when you go!

Fantastic experience: My child has been attending gymnastics here since he was 5 years old. great coach. there is an approach to children. there are chairs for waiting.

Negative experience: Very overpriced gym for what they offer and service. Female changing rooms are disgusting and have a horrible damp smell. Definitely needs some work for the price they are changing..

Negative experience: Like at least one other reviewer, the receptionist was rude and very unhelpful. I don't give 1 star reviews lightly; it was an unpleasant, belittling interaction and I won't be coming back.

Fantastic experience: Quick, efficient service at a good price

Negative experience: Full of upper middle class, stuck up members. Some snotty lady showed up at reception asking whether they were really going to make her walk all the way to the nearest cash point because she didn’t bring any cash for hiring locker. #FirstWorldProblems. Members are fussy and way too stuck in their ways. Staff are lovely, I feel bad they have to put up with these kind of people!

Negative experience: As a student I came here assuming £7 for a day pass. However when I arrived here I found out that you have to pay a £12.50 membership fee which is absolutely ludicrous for someone coming here just for one day. I essentially ended up paying just under TWENTY POUNDS to use the gym ONCE. As I had a very full on schedule I had no choice but to pay for this so they essentially trap people to almost triple the day pass fee. To put this into context, Pure Gym or The Gym Group usually charge twenty pounds PER MONTH. They go on about being "great value" but they do things like this to people. The male member of staff at the front desk was very rude and unpleasant when dealing with the transaction. I will certainly not come here again and would strongly recommend going elsewhere. The gym itself is average at best. Probably worth about 25 pounds a month but they charge 53 a month and call that "best value". Will not be coming here again. It is essentially a commercial gym like Pure Gym or The Gym Group for 3 times the price.

Negative experience: In desperate need of refurbishment

Positive experience: Small gymn with different selection of classes. The building is old but the variety of machines and activities offered are good.

Positive experience: The gym would be great if it actually opened earlier. By opening at 9am on Saturday and closing at 5pm it makes it hard to manage to train around classes, work, or commitments. The staff is lovely, the gym basic, but the hours are challenging.

Negative experience: Never experienced ruder staff anywhere in my life, feel so uncomfortable in this gym. Not worth £1 a year let alone their extortionate prices.

Negative experience: Dirty changing rooms and rude staff and bad customer service. Overpriced you can get better faculties elsewhere

Negative experience: My review is 2 stars because I think all the gyms around this area open at 6:00. I can't understand why this open 6:45. The gym is correct and the price is high to services (open 6:45) the installations are correct.

Fantastic experience: I used to go to this gym frequently. It is large and has a lot of machines and space. Nothing too exciting though like jumping boxes though. Changing rooms are a bit outdated but perfectly functional.

Positive experience: No frills gym but has everything you need for a workout. Right price.

Positive experience: Third time there yesterday and very happy so far. Equipment all in good order, good temperature inside and water/paper towels all easily accessible. Seems to be quite a bit of focus on weight machines (only 2 rowers and 3 bikes) but it doesn't seem to get over crowded so this hasn't been a problem (yet). Membership very reasonable (£50 a month if you pay up front) and gets you access to all the Better gyms in London.

Positive experience: Went for fault on system very friendly staff

Negative experience: Disappointed. They do not let me in 30 minutes before close,even for 10 minutes. I needed to do only quicj superset. Bad, unhappy and unfriendly reception lady.

Positive experience: The gym equipment is really good, a bit disappointed that staff told me they closed before it was even 9pm whilst on the spinning bike which I found quite rude. Membership is really expensive

Towels charged at one pound .Very Small choice of classes ,though -will suit more to someone who Wants just gym . Positive experience: It is a nice gymnasium with good equipment and it's bot too crowded. Great environment to work out and it is frequented by friendly people. No professional equipment for weightlifting however the plates and barbell are good enough for general workouts.

Fantastic experience: Four squat racks are more than enough.

Fantastic experience: The space is really nice, light and airy - the equipment looks like it's been through a lot but it's all really good and there's a good selection of different equipment. The locker room and facilities are in general overall basic but it's a nice compact gym to use with lockers on the floor as well as in the changing rooms. If you come at rush hour it's tight for machines.

Fantastic experience: Great spin class. All the equipment you expect, clean and in working order. Sauna always hot. Bring £1 for a towel and another for a locker.

Positive experience: Has most things you need, not too packed. No pool.
