Fantastic experience: Having now been going here to early swim before work now for five months. The staff are really friendly. Glad I took the plunge. Lost a lot of weight and a whole lot fitter. Really nice bunch of people also swimming.

Negative experience: Disgusting place. They have no cleaning stuff, and their toilets are filthy. I recommend staying away from this centre if you care about hygiene and your health.

Negative experience: I don’t understand how this place got 4*. Tonight in one of the changing lockers there was POO smeared all over the floor. The water from the neighbouring locker washed it down until it reached my locker. We’ve been going here for my daughter’s swimming classes for 4 months now and I have NEVER seen the cleaning staff. It is always stinking, it s dirty , it is a messy disgusting place. The tonight problem was the most disgusting thing I have ever seen.

Negative experience: If you come here to swim, don't bother. 90% of the time they have some shenanigans going on and they don't even keep 1 Lane for people who want to swim. Kids pool never used don't know why they don't utilising it for kids to play in. Sauna and Steam has a decent temperature, but lacks a proper cold shower.

Negative experience: CHILDREN’S SWIMMING CLASS! My daughter has been at this class for nearly a year and we’ve seen minimal development, they spend most the time splashing and floating on the noodle. The class is the first session of the day, the pool is never set up and the teacher is late every single time, by 5-15mins. (Bearing in mind it’s a 30mins session). When the teacher is off, the replacement has no handover or awareness of what stage each child is at. There is no structure to the class, we don’t know how our child is performing or indication of what stage she is at. When we try to approach her she just nods and moves on. The teacher has zero enthusiasm, I know it’s early morning and you are working with kids. But to neglect the kids and see no progression over the past 6 months is infuriating. In short you pay the monthly £30 for your child to have a little splash and float around. I’ve written several complaints, called and tried to escalate my complaint to HQ and not heard anything back. We are just throwing money away at this class and would strongly avoid if anyone is considering this swim class.

Negative experience: Swimming Pool and facility - Clean but shower, water not hot enough, hope it can raise up the water temperature, thank you. - On Tue & Wed 19:00, after changing, tell me can't swim today, really waste time, they said not enough staff, i hope it can improve.

Negative experience: I find it really frustrating that you can turn up for a swim, just to be told it's closed. What a complete waste of time. Getting up at 545 on your day off, is effort in itself, yet going all the way to come back home. It's ridiculous. Waste of time and waste of money. Are you going to pay for my petrol as I had to drive there then back again? You just don't care

Positive experience: People still leave their stuff in the changing rooms even though theres signs advising not too

Negative experience: I have some credit in my swimming account as my kids lessons get cancel I did ask 100time to put my credit back to my bank account but nobody care and it’s nobody dealing with it secondly my kids lessons starting Sunday and it’s always late 5 or 10 minutes it’s only half our lesson and first lesson of the day should not happen every week please avoid this leisure centre in Erdington it’s horrible and disappointing place.

Fantastic experience: I come to erdington leisure centre twice a week for the health spa and aquafit on Wednesdays and Fridays. Wendy Arnot does a strenuous and rewarding workout. The people in the health spa are very friendly. There's nice people in aquafit too. It helps my health and weight loss.

Positive experience: It's a good and cheap place to work out and have a swim, but it is a bit crowded, especially the gym.

Negative experience: Very disappointed. Booked lane swimming for yesterday evening. Website doesn't explain there is only 1 lane for swimming. Couldn't swim properly as the lane was full of extremely slow swimmers, even when I was only using my legs and holding my arms out straight. When I asked if I could use a float, was told by the swimming instructor I couldn't as everyone else would want one (fair enough) and she had had other complaints about how the website is unclear that there is only 1 lane. Complete waste of £6.30 and definitely won't be going back.

Positive experience: Great facilities but only 2 of the 4 family changing rooms have the baby changing tables as they have been ripped off the walls but never replaced in the 3 -4 months we've been using this pool

Negative experience: The online survey you sent me doesn't work so posting here. The 3pm Saturday sessions are far too overcrowded so there needs to be a ticketing system. Not pleasant taking my two kids there and we probably won't go back a they found it too busy and felt they were going to get knocked into by teenagers jumping in etc..Also the number of shower cubicles you have is nowhere near enough. People are leaving their belongings in the changing cubicles and that stuff needs to be removed as it's hard to find anywhere to change..To be fair to your lifeguards, they do a good job and can't be easy with so many in there. They are the reason I didn't give it one star

Positive experience: Just annoyed really ..ladies evening swim only and there are children .the staff have zero control or ignore the customers .when in the lanes women swimming side by side (in the lanes) I asked why this wasn't addressed and the guard said he spoke but the women answered* tell everyone else *and just carried on .women's hour should mean that .lanes are for swimming rules should mean something .

Negative experience: Came here with my daughter, had to wait outside of the family changing places as they only have 2 available. Also the floor wasn’t the cleanest.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful place where you can look after your fitness with echo friendly environment

Positive experience: Brilliant centre, however the family cubicles need to have the baby changing facilities returned as several times we've had to stand and wait for the only 2 with these left.

Positive experience: I've been swimming here a couple of times now and I really enjoy it. The timetable has lots of open swimming times, I don't really like lane swimming so that is great! It's also been really quiet when I've been so I feel like I've got plenty of space to relax while I swim. They have a lovely small pool for babies too. I've decided to become a member and found Chantal on reception really helpful with signing me up!

Fantastic experience: Staff were friendly and went out of their way for us on our visit. The place is clean and very user friendly. They have male/ female only time slots for swimming and the sauna/ steam room so this was a massive bonus!!!

Negative experience: Seems to have gone downhill over the past several years. Debating whether or not it's worth paying for my child to have swimming lessons. The young girl who takes the class seems totally disinterested and disengaged with the kids. She has eyes everywhere but the children she's meant to be teaching and management don't seem to be bothered by it except they'll pass on feedback. Just who on earth is running the show here?! Only hear good things about Wyndley.

Positive experience: Erdington Leisure Centre offers a decent range of facilities, and the staff is generally friendly. However, the maintenance of equipment and cleanliness could be improved. It's an average experience – not outstanding, but suitable for basic fitness needs.

Negative experience: I've been using this centre for years since it used to be on mason road. I've never experienced such a behaviour and attitude from an individual anywhere. The individual is the manager of the centre as per the staff however he has absolutely no quality of a leader or of a manager. Rather then helping the clients and assist them with the best of his ability (which is missing in him) he blatantly refuses. The most recent experience of mine with him was today when I asked him if he can give me change for a tenner as needed for the vending machine and for the locker but he refused it blatantly whereas the other staff had helped in past by providing change. He absolutely doesn't have the skill to help their customers.

Negative experience: Went for a family splash, which was hardly designed for that. A small corner of the main pool full with jumpy kids. All other area was occupied by learners who booked swimming lessons.Why the 2 together?? We didn't stay 1hour as our kids kept shivering in the water so when went changing discovered my white trainers with my socks in it has gone missing. Asked cleaning and reception crew,but obviously they haven't seen it. Stealing like a megpie. We will be not returning to this facility. Better management needed!

Fantastic experience: A very good gym, swimming and health suite the most I liked is the staff they're very helpful clean and tidy

Negative experience: All the staff workers are so rude and disrespectful, especially the manager named Fuwad. It seemed like he was lying that he's the manager as his behaviour was so unprofessional and he seemed inexperienced. The female members of staff were also very rude and disrespectful. The place is a total mess and is very unhygienic and unclean. I would advise people to go to a different leisure centre as this place is not worth it.

Negative experience: Never pick up the phone, I tried calling for days but never picked up the phone! Membership randomly stopped working. Also, we were just swimming and some boys were misbehaving (splashing, aggressive playing) and they kicked us all out the pool and wasted our swimming time!

Positive experience: Good facilities, nice pools. Lesson ran over so we couldn't get into the small pool for 10 minutes after we were due to, just had to wait by the side. It's hard with a baby. Also, the receptionist didn't seem to know what was going on. Had to show my receipt for her to see my booking, and even then she found it difficult to see. Was a bit disappointing overall.

Positive experience: Lovely staff who are understanding and very helpful. Pool is pretty clean and so are the changing rooms and showers. I haven't used the gym or sauna but the bathroom on that side is lovely and clean too. Would definitely recommend swimming here

Negative experience: Facilities are good but the swimming lessons were awful. Never the same tutor, always cancelled, never return calls. We went to a different leisure centre for swimming lessons and it was amazing. Really poor if I’m honest. I hope they improve.

Negative experience: There were a few young boys messing around and so the lifeguards asked everyone to get out. This is truly unfair for everyone else in the pool as we lost 15mins from our swim time. Why not just ask the boys to come out instead of everyone. Very disappointed at the service.

Fantastic experience: Got a monthly membership to this place after visiting the pool a couple of times this summer. They have classes like pilates, yoga and aqua aerobic which are fantastic. Their gym is really good and the steam and sauna room is the perfect way to relax after a hard workout. Super clean facilities. All in all, 100 times better than any gym I've been a member of.

Positive experience: It's good but when your in middle training in the zone n music is in sync, all of sudden adverts come on, to many adverts it deffo effects your training. I don't mind the fact they got adverts it's just constant though

Positive experience: Parking is ridiculous here they hsvr approx 15 spaces in the car park and the rest is on the residential street, which is often full. Decent sized air conditioned gym and set classes during the day & evening. Has a swimming pool with access to a sauna if you book.

Number of people allowed into the gym should be controlled. Complete waste of time. Very limited amount of equipment as well compared to other gyms. Negative experience: Why doesn't this center pick up their phone? I walked in there many times and rang the phone and the staff don't pick up it up.

Positive experience: Steam room not fixed approaching 2 months, made a complaint 10 days ago still no response. Dry sauna not cleaned to good standard despite being told it encounters a deep clean daily

Negative experience: Took my child swimming here a few weeks ago and was very disappointed with the staff. My child is autistic and finds loud noises overwhelming, a life guard called Hailey used her whistle to get my child’s attention which caused him to feel really scared. I approached Hailey with my child to advise her that my child is autistic and finds the whistle overwhelming so if she needs to get his attention let me know as I am guiding him in the pool. She was not happy and walked away with a strop, Hailey then went to a lifeguard and imitated what I said right in front of me. She over exaggerated what I said and she rolled her eyes at me. This made myself and my child feel very uncomfortable so we left the pool and I spoke to the supervisor and staff at the front who apologised on her behalf. I made a complaint using the form and still no one has got back to me. The life guard Hailey needs to be trained on understanding what autism and other special needs are and also how to be professional whilst at work! I requested a refund due to us leaving the pool early because of the lifeguard actions but was refused because we started the session. I will not be going there again and I would advise other parents with children who have special needs to look else where.

Fantastic experience: The water is warm - for that I'll always be grateful. And shout out to he really helpful member of staff who got me some discount goggles and free swim!!! The changing area is clean and gere are working hair dryers for my daughter. We did a normal family swim but they also have the splash sessions, where all the floats etc. out. Really like this place.

Fantastic experience: I've been a member since the beginning of the year. Love the access to lots of different classes. Step aerobics is my favourite along with body combat. Lesley is an amazing instructor x

Negative experience: The place is disgusting with people spitting on the floor in the steam room and and exfoliating in the sauna. Someone was attacked recently and nothing gets done about it. I have emailed cancellations 3 times and haven't had a response which seems to be a common theme looking at the other reviews. Avoid this place .

Negative experience: Sauna/ steam room over capacity, so why the nees to pre-book. Bin overflowing, plaster on the floor in shower room. If sessions are by the hour a cleaner/ staff should clean in between sessions. Never returning disgusting facilities.

Positive experience: Managed by Serco now and it show! Been over three weeks and no showers, hot water not working for whatever reason. Front desk staff are abit clueless especially the younger ones, the lads have no idea about the BeActive scheme and which sessions are free for kids when accompanied by adult. The young lady with glasses knows abit more but only abit. The older lady knows her stuff and can teach the younger ones a thing or two. To management if you can be asked to read reviews, take abit more of a role in running the centre.

Positive experience: Great swimming pools and swim coaches. Lacks seating for the large pool but it is a small site. Parking is an issue with people using the loading bays and frequently causing obstructions.

Positive experience: The Internet never seems to work and the timings for general swimming during the week and weekends is disappointing. Some of the classes get cancelled or changed to something else last minute. The area to stretch or relax after a work out session is small. Not great for the membership price.

Positive experience: Lovely leisure centre, friendly and helpful staff. Love the dance fit class on a Monday morning. Lost a star rating for no ample car parking.

Negative experience: Very good service from debbie and simon on front desk. Have been served by josh too a couple of times gebrally lovely staff. Sauna and steam room need better cleaning the hygiene is very poor. Steaam room leaves a bad smell and ssome dirt u can see between tiles and by the steam outlet. If u run your fingers through where you sit you can see. Sauna there is abit of rubish between the holes of the seats. Gym is cleaner. Decent dize gym not too small not too big. Staff charmaine and charlie are also very nice. Genrally staff are all a great laugh and polite.

Positive experience: Great place to be,relaxed atmosphere. But I have some bad experience there,but in all my circumstances there are very welcoming from most of the people also staff are so friendly and professional in what they do.

Negative experience: Life guards pointing and laughing, at me and my family. Made a complaint about it via email, over 2 weeks ago and never got a response. Will never use Erdington swimming baths again very unprofessional.

Negative experience: This review is based on Edington leisure centre Never seen such a discrimination at any other place in my life so I been going here for a month a so & have been seeing unacceptable behaviour with other's today i have been discriminated at this place by so called duty manager who even refuse to give her name when I asked but then when I reminded her that she works at public place and I'm well In my rights to ask her name then she gave me her half name her name is andriya she has been rude to me and stopped me from going inside as I'm well in my rights to go in as I have a full membership which I wil be cancelling soon when I reminded her I'm.a full membership holder she rudely said to me check in first then go in as everyone else who has membership jus walks in then why me ?? She had stopped me with a little one that she can't go in as pool is crowded when I went in there were less people then full capacity even though if it was crowded why can a member walk in but a member with a child can't take his or her child in ? I have many witnesses that wil prove I have been discriminated by duty manager I wil be contacting higher authorities as people like andriya are very bad for these kind off public places and for company's reputation I'm very upset because off this treatment today

Fantastic experience: Very well maintained leisure centre, the staff do their best to keep it clean & very friendly staff at the reception. Great classes, particularly body pump & attack! One downside is the lack of parking but I guess it's the planners/ architects to be blamed!

Negative experience: Room allocated for steam and sauna very compact, very small compared to previous build. The room doesn't have enough seating in the small space with access into the above, so not impressed.... Price also very steep for a one hour session.
