Our comment from FitFit UK about Sutton Sports Village:

Sutton Sports Village in Sutton, United Kingdom is a vibrant sports center offering various recreational activities for children and families. Visitors have expressed their enthusiasm for the good range of facilities available, including a soft play area and trampoline park that is well-structured for kids. Many parents appreciate the fun atmosphere, noting that their children have a great time engaging in various activities.

Key highlights include:

  • Spacious and colorful facilities: The soft play area has received praise for being bright, clean, and well-maintained, providing a safe environment for young children.
  • Helpful staff: Several visitors have commented on the friendliness and support shown by staff members, particularly during events like birthday parties.
  • Good value for younger children: The pricing is considered fair for kids, especially for soft play sessions.

However, there have been complaints about certain aspects that detract from the experience:

  • Overcrowding: Particularly during weekends, the facility can become overly busy, leading to uncomfortable conditions and limited supervision.
  • Staff management issues: Some reviews mention a lack of training or professionalism among certain staff members, resulting in negative experiences for families.
  • Pricing and additional fees: Several customers expressed frustration over unexpected fees for things like socks and adult supervision, which can add up quickly.

Overall, while Sutton Sports Village has fantastic potential and provides a fun space for children, prospective visitors are encouraged to consider timing and be aware of the potential for overcrowding and additional costs.

Sutton Sports Village: Opinions

3.5/5 (198 Opinions)
Guy Taylor 10 months ago

Negative experience: The most ridiculously overcrowded soft play I have ever seen on a Saturday and I’ve see. A few. Over sold. A fire hazard even. Car park not big enough for all the ticket sales either. Avoid

amogh makam 10 months ago

Negative experience: Absolute terrible rude employees, avoid at all costs

Jon Shoulder 11 months ago

Negative experience: Under 2s soft play is great at first look but is actually really dangerous. Over 2s come rampaging in constantly which is a real danger to the babies in there. This needs to be supervised at all times

Positive experience: It was relly enjoyable I went with my parents friend we did loads of front flips and I managed to land my first ever one im so happy. The only critizim I would give is that on hot days you should definitely have more ac fans, I had to leave early because it was to hot and I was feeling dizzy and sick.

Negative experience: If you enjoy being disappointed and blindsided by hidden terms and conditions, this is the place for you. I recently purchased two tickets online for my 12- and 6-year-old, only to find out—after paying—that I was required to buy an additional adult ticket to supervise my 6-year-old. There was no clear warning about this policy during the purchase process, which is deceptive, as despite having to add the children’s DOB, I was not forced at point of purchase to buy an adult ticket. Additionally, supporting this, ticket prices were comparable to competitors. Logically, an additional 12.95 would price themselves out the market. Right???! I refused to pay the extra fee and ended up taking my 6-year-old to the soft play area instead—where supervision wasn’t required (despite a significant height risk)This experience was frustrating and felt like a blatant cash grab. To top it off, the facility was stifling, with no air conditioning in the middle of summer. This business seems more focused on squeezing every penny out of customers than on providing a good service. I will be sharing this story far and wide to warn others. (I recommend the place is Esher)

Negative experience: Trampoline prices are too high and unfair. Even though an elderly people and those with health conditions can't participate, they MUST PAY the same while supervising a child. I was also charged for socks even though I had my old clean socks and no swap was offered. Every parent/ carer MUST PAY to enter the trampoline park and for socks if they have old ones or don't have them, regardless of whether they participate or sit in the corner.

Alexandra Rahela 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: The place it is good for the kids during winter time. DO NOT GO SUMMER IT IS UNBELIEVABLE THAT A PLACE LIKE THIS DOES NOT HAVE AC. It is not even safe for the kids to jump in that heat/no oxygen.

Ellie Daisy Miles 1 year ago

Positive experience: Since the refurb, the soft play area I cannot fault except in the summer there's no air-conditioning which given young children are running around is ludicrous. We had to leave early because our 1 and a half year old was far to red and hot. Just one fan blowing doing nothing on a table as you walk in. Other than that can't complain.

Negative experience: I have never left 1* review but there is always a first time for everything. SUTTON SPORTS VILLAGE trampoline park is a rip off. They are constantly increasing prices (every time we come the price is higher and higher) plus they insist on changing socks rules every few months so you need to buy new socks, from them of course, for £2.95 (rubish quality for ridiculous price. You could get better socks in primark)! So much for saving the planet and re-using socks that we got here a few months ago that are in perfectly good condition. The one hourr jumping and their rubbish socks cost us almost £100! This is our last visit. We going some where next time. A few months ago they changed the trampoline park but the only thing they didn't change was the trampolines. But for some reasons we were not allowed to were the socks we used a few months ago and had to buy new ones. If I could, I would rate this a 0. This is a scam. If you are reading this it isn't too late to change your mind and go anywhere else.

Negative experience: Please avoid this trampoline park. Rules are non existent or existent just for random as they feel like. I would advice paying little extra and going to OXYGEN(IF CHILD IS 5+ ADULT DOESNT NEED A TICKET,works out cheaper then this place) for much better experience they don’t care what brand socks you wear and staff is decently trained who is over age of 15 and treat people with respect. Staff definitely don’t know what they are doing and saw 3 parents being upset and arguing with staff. God forbid if there is accident to happen not sure I would trust this staff to handle it! Scary!

Positive experience: Children's party event. It was okay. The pizza was overcooked. The staff members could be abit more forth coming, and enthusiastic. The play area is extraordinary the children had a great time!

Siobhan Gilley 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: I had an exclusive hire at the trampoline park in May 24 and the team went above and beyond to ensure everything on the day ran smoothly. I would really recommend this place for a child’s birthday party - the team and facilities are amazing and the kids had the best time ever!

Amy Clare 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Have been coming here for a few years now but recently had my daughters party at the new trampoline area & it was the easiest party I’ve ever done! Our host was really welcoming and friendly, had time before to set up and lots of room. I opted for self catering due to intolerance’s and fussy eaters which worked really well! At the end the host helps clean up which I found helpful, then you’re off! I also come here a lot with my 18 month old for the soft play, he loves it and it’s very well priced compared to other soft plays. I’d recommend coming on a weekday morning for better enjoyment. Weekends and half terms are a little lively… Would love to see the cafe have vegan options & open slightly earlier. But really can’t knock it.

Negative experience: I am utterly incensed! Having just departed from the playground with my son, I was aghast to find advertisements for the dating application Tinder resonating through the park's speakers. The audacity of promoting such a platform, renowned for its dubious and lascivious reputation, in an environment tailored for children is wholly inappropriate and deeply concerning!!!!!!!! What rationale could possibly justify subjecting young, impressionable minds to such content?

Hi Aled, I am sorry you have had this experience. Could you please confirm if this advertisment came from within the trampoline park or the outdoor children's playground in Rosehill Park? If it is the latter than this is not actually apart of Sutton Sports Village.

Negative experience: If you like being ripped off, then this is the place for you!! I don't like leaving bad reviews, but this place takes the biscuit. Massive queue for trampolines as it looks like they pushed the max amount to the limit ( it's raining so of course) we've been here on a few occasions but it had a slight face-lift nothing brilliant. Booked online as I had some money in the better account but was informed that I couldn't use it when booking because it was a different location? So I had to pay again even tho I had better credit. Then, when we got to the location, we were asked if we had better leisure jump socks. Yes, we have, but no, sorry you can't use them now because they're a DIFFERENT COLOUR AND A SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT DESIGN ON THE BOTTOM???.come on. So that was another £3 a pain for each of the kids. I'm not being funny but come on!!!!! How ridiculous. Also rude staff. Great combination

Positive experience: Been going for years. Kids love trampolines and they used to love soft play. Cafe is ok. Toilets could be defo cleaner but hey.

Fantastic experience: Sutton soft play staff are amazing, especially Grace who went above and beyond to help me when I hadn't booked ahead.

Positive experience: Made a soft play booking, and wanted to extend the number of people, but there is no bloody way to reach the centre and no one is answering our emails?! It says we have to visit the centre to talk to someone- what kind of a customer experience is this? UPDATE: I found a way to get through to them on the phone. It was almost hidden. So improving my rating but this is still a big issue.

Negative experience: My son lost his locker key and they got really angry at him and 5 men circled him to make him feel uncomfortable. I see why they were annoyed with him but they shouldn’t make him feel intimidated. Also, they asked to borrow a pound and then when he asked for it back they said “Nah.” and then walked off. When he walked out, my son told me that they stared at him which was him threatened.

Mariana Colombo 1 year ago

Negative experience: They make you buy new socks even though you already have ones bought here in previous visits. They say it is for security reasons, so I guess that means last time they were unsafe? Shouldn't they swap those socks then? Well no, they said they did it only for a couple of months? It's definitely not fair. Rude and entitled staff. And the cherry was that my daughter had a little accident, I asked for antiseptic and they only offered water , it was already scabbed? It wasn't, it literally happened 5 minutes ago.

C Nary 1 year ago

Negative experience: They changed the trampoline socks that must be worn and so we had to buy their new style socks. The way they handled this was very poor and put a damper on our time there.

Paige Adams 1 year ago

Negative experience: Absolutely horrible can’t believe what they were saying to my children stuff like “get away!” Or “your marking it harder to do my job!” Or they won’t let them in the building bc of the wrong grip socks but they clearly did not tell us anything I did not won’t to be rude to them but I had to.Im not a bad person I’m genuinely a good person I have moments like all parents but the service there was terrible! The workers were teenagers no older 16 and they were laughing at my children and everything I really hope no one has to experience What my children did they were crying their eyes out and then they were mugging my children off I can’t believe they went to that place and it was not cheap my children never want to go there again!!!!! Pls look at the photo the one with the orange socks were not allowed inside my kids sent it to me

Fantastic experience: Well we decided to check out this little hidden gem that I had only ever heard about but had never managed to visit until Friday 29th March. It was a beautiful day for a fun day out and we were so ready to check out the soft play area. It was busy of course, had a small cafe within the soft play area and seating areas too tables and chairs and bench style tables. The soft play was separated in 3/4 areas one being the trampoline area, away from the soft play which was divided into two parts under 2's and over 2's plus a sensory glow room and then the ball pit area. Overall there was enough to do in the hour time slots. Good range of activities to keep my little ones entertained and I was impressed. Bright and colourful and spacious. There was always a staff member sitting by the entrance as well as the area to access the soft play which was good to know. They had nice decorations up upon entry for Easter as well as a Simon's cafeteria on site before we entered the bounce this way area allocated close to the car park. The venue is easy to get to via bus as it has two nearby bus stops less than 5mins away in or out. We will definitely be back soon and we had lots of fun... we didn't check out the cafe but will do next time. Thank you for starting our Easter break on a high.

Fantastic experience: Went here for my sons birthday party, we all loved it! It's clean and well equipped with plenty of space for kids to bounce around and burn off some energy. Staff was very well organised with the function room being decorated and laid out ready for kids to eat and drink after their bounce session. The food they supply is perfect for the kids, vegan option was available if requested prior to booking. Love that u can bring your own cake and staff will turn out the lights (if u wish!) and sing happy birthday to the kids too! Very memorable day for my kids and guests too

Negative experience: New socks, new socks? They made us purchase identical trampolining socks to what we already have, some rubbish about the soles being different, it's a con - you tell me the difference between these socks in the photos, I bet you can't tell the difference. Better is supposed to be a community business, not much community in buying new socks each time, with the other 3 pairs now redundant. Waste of resources and money. And staff were useless, just a bunch of teenagers standing around drinking coffee in the trampoline area. I'm very glad Better has lost most of its concessions around us and we don't need to give them any more money.

Negative experience: My son has been attending tennis courses for the last couple of months. The venue is overall not so bad. The cleanness is good. The parking area is sometimes overcrowded. I had to cancel my son's memship due to disrespectfulness of the staff. According to my son, his tennis couch used an insulting word for him. I've asked his manager about the situation and waiting for a proper response. But, the thing makes me think about it is why on earth a couch will use that word for a kid. I don't know what he was thinking at that moment. It is unacceptable for me and I cancelled our membership immediately.

Fantastic experience: The only think I would recommend to the management is to educate the sauna “male” users to take shower before going into the sauna. All of your customers that I see when using the sauna are coming from the gym straight to the sauna without taking shower. They just take out the short and the T-shirt and straight in. It stinks , it is disrespectful. Some of them are even putting their shirts or shorts to dry out by putting them next to the stone heater. Please place a sign that demands a shower before they use the sauna, also none of them are wearing flip flops. Few times I had to cut my sauna session early because of other customers body smell

Fantastic experience: I never know this place until today. How could I have missed such a good kids play! You have a whole range of facilities in the play park, from slides to ball of ocean to crawling area to obstacles, EVEN small TRAMPOLINE beds to jump on! We had great fun. £3 for a kid ticket, this ticket will give you access to the kid and ONE companion adult. We paid for an additional adult £5 because we’d like to all go in together. However, you can switch with your partner to accompany the kid if want to avoid paying for an additional adult.

Negative experience: For the frist time I went to use the gym in this branch, it was my worst experience, girl at the reception was unhelpful, inexperienced and funny enough didn't be bothered to ask someone else, kept me waiting over 70 minutes at the door, then someone else came and problem was sorted in 1 minute, I don't understand what's the point of staying at reception, I wont go there ever egain , rather to driver to a normal gym

Negative experience: My son attended a trampoline birthday party this afternoon and asked a member of staff where the toilets were. The answer he got was “There are none”….so he wet himself. I am so angry and disgusted at this. I don’t recommend this place at all, I will never go there again and will recommend that all of our friends & family avoid it too.

Negative experience: Poor experience today. Booked 3 children into the trampoline park. Two 8 year olds and one 6 year old (all who have been in numerous time before to the trampoline park). Was told at check-in one adult must attend with my 6 year old due to insurance (which we were happy to do), to be then told there is no availability for the extra adult- therefore my 6 year old couldn’t enter whatsoever. He was obviously is flood of tears! Also, complete lack of empathy from the staff while my son was crying while the other 2 8 year olds could enter. Asked for a refund if not allowing the 6 year old in- staff said no refunds! I asked to speak to the Manager who then said okay and let an adult in so my 6 year old could in fact go in…. Nice to finally see a smile on my boys face but nightmare !!!

Fantastic experience: We highly recommend Sutton the Trampoline Park for Birthday parties. On Saturday 18th March, Nathan and Tia made my Daughter's 4th Birthday an absolute dream. Nothing was too much for them. The booking to process was simple and followed up with emails clearly instructing of what to do to make the day go smoothly. My daughter and all the guest had only good things to say. Thank you and well done to all at Sutton Sports Village.

Negative experience: The staff at the trampoline park especially leighanne are very rude. The staff left children under the age of 5 unattended in the trampoline park without the parents. The children ended up getting lost and injured. They also refuse to take accountability and they are dishonest. Avoid at all cost.

Negative experience: It is not about the Sports village but a small cafe beside the facility. I do not know if they are still there but when I ordered a burger after speaking to a woman over the counter, I received a normal burger which had a meat in it. I told her I am a vegetarian and she said she would be able to make a veggie burger for me. I took it back to her and complained but what she said was that I had to buy another one which do not have a meat. Ridiculous!!

Fantastic experience: Nathan is a gem! We have visited the Sutton Sports Village on the 16th July during the heatwave. My son took his socks off and lost them somewhere in the soft play. He went back to look for them, but, naturally, he could not find them. We had a long journey home ahead of us, with 1h bus ride and then 20min walk home. It was an incredibly hot day, and I was worried that my son will get blisters. So on our way out of the building, we stopped at the reception and asked if anybody handed in his socks. Nathan, the gentleman at the desk, was one of the most professional, polite and enthusiastic staff members I have ever seen. He couldnt find my son's socks, but quickly offered us a pair of free socks to take with us. One may say that it's only socks, but I have worked in customer service for many, many years, and I have trained hundreds of people on how to serve customers. I can recognise a genuine kindness and helpful attitude within seconds. This seemingly small act of kindness saved my son days of being uncomfortable and in pain. I can not speak highly enough of this gentleman's level of professionalism. Serving customers on a hot day like that, with hundreds of kids running around and screaming is very difficult, and he was keen on going an extra mile for someone. I have since recommended this place to dozens of people. Great job, Nathan. Thank you for helping us out!

Negative experience: We came from far away and we had the worse experience ever !!! The soft play was good but the staff is not friendly, and not helpful and not cooperative at all . I was asking for the manger but few different supervisors would turn up unnecessary drama ! the manger ( CLARE ) is the worse woman I met I don’t usually write any reviews but but this had to be done she doesn’t have no managing skills at all no patience to listen, but just hearing someone who’s loud ! Accusing us of shouting rather then listening to what happened and then also threatened us to call the police on us in-front of our children very unprofessional . A Child who just turned 8 wasn’t not allowed to go in the soft play even doe he was crying we didn’t even get a refund !!! we even offered to pay then they are all about money ! Very greedy people In there due to the staff being young and untrained , unprofessional I will never come here !!!!!!!! Disgusting

Negative experience: I called up the number given on the Sutton sports village webpage in the morning two days ago (Thursday) to check up whether I can buy tickets on the venue, but was told emphatically by the person who answered that I can buy tickets. When I reached the venue in Sutton with kids in the evening, they said all booking must be done online and that the guys at the call centre did not know properly since the call centre is based 'far away'. That was pathetic. Instead of apologising the lady kept saying as if it was 'not our fault'. They should train their call centre staff not to misguide their customers. Overall I think the employees need some training in providing good service. The prices of trampoline was relatively high and even for soft play, they charge a high price for adults for merely accompanying the kids.

Negative experience: The Sutton Sports Village Is A Terrible Place To Go To! Very Over Charged Concidering We Payed For A 7 aside Football For My Sons Birthday In The Winter Term However The Courts Are Too Close To The Roofs Beside The Football Court That The Fencing Was Not High Enough To Keep The Football Where Its Ment To Stay And 2 Footballs Ended Up On The Roof... Fantastic experience: My son had his birthday in the trampoline park, and I couldn't fault it. It was so well organised and everything was taken care of, even small things like providing a large box for all the children's shoes and a large bag to put all the coats in. The party room was lovely, and the food served straight away when the children got in there. Would highly recommend.

Negative experience: Attended with children for them to jump. Due to the formatting on their website I couldn’t see that under 8s need an adult present in the jump areas. This was in the description choosing the session. This was never mentioned again during the process just Covid rules and attendance policy of 5-7 years - 10:1 (not that adult has to pay). Daughter just shy of 8 and because I couldn’t prove Trampolining would aggravate a back issue (not all disabilities are debilitating). So had to pay £11 for trampoline socks to supervise. You’re not allowed a refund on your tickets either. Had to get other parent to cancel their plans to join kids. Though it turns out you can pop out to the cafe or toilet and leave your child unsupervised. Or sit along the side and not see them when they are out of view. Ridiculous. Car parking a nightmare and section was muddy and underwater. Plus if you are concerned about Covid that the moment this place is a Covid trap. Large warehouse building with hundreds of people. About half the staff members facing public were wearing face masks. Virtually no visitors in cafe area (not eating/drinking) wearing them either. Kids enjoyed the trampolining but I’ll be taking them to Oxygen next time where they can be supervised for free and better age requirements.

Negative experience: There is no negative star but my experience with Sutton Sports Village has really been bad. In my opinion they are a fraud organisation and l have no idea why they are allowed to operate in the way they do. I am counting my days to see common sense or justice prevail. I booked 2 trampoline slots for my sons birthday party, I mean booked through a party link later discovered that it is just playing so l asked if I could top up for a party they said they didn't have a slot yet on their website it persistently showed available slots. Then I asked for a refund to my shock they said they can't refund anything . This is significant amount of money that included my son and aĺl his friends. I then wrote them an email they didn't even bother replying to me. This was also 3 weeks before time.. They can't give me a voucher to use at a later stage Shocking!!! Isnt this a broad day light stealing from customers? The moment you press buy you lose your money and with these covid issues they expect people to be there with covid or else they loose their Please I want my money back.

Negative experience: Soft play - I mean great price for an hour. We went on an empty day in the week so pretty much had the place to our selfs. First time coming here and no one showed me or talked me through anything. Glow room could do with a bit more sensory bits to make it more of a sensory experience. The lights on the wall need to be fixed properly instead of just taped over. Very dusty and dirty soft play though. Defo needs a good clean, makes me wonder if they clean the balls in the ball pit. Staff just stand around and chat about their weekends. Guess you get what you pay for. Highly doubt il be coming back here again!!

Negative experience: Not post covid safe, overcrowded and unclean. Mismanaged and reckless not keeping check of how many people indoors. If you're part of a party don't expect to have the place to yourself. Party rooms are small and stuffy. Car park was very full on Saturday and some of it is full of pot holes.

Positive experience: We came here for the amazing-looking soft play area. It has a trampoline section off to one side, and a young-baby area in the centre. When we came, it was super busy and a little chaotic. My main critique would be that some sections of the soft play are a little steep/scary for younger children - our toddler tried to slide down one section, got her foot caught and ended up tumbling down and wasn't happy. The cafe's selection was quite small - would be nice to see more kid-friendly drinks and snacks.

Fantastic experience: Lots of things to do for the children. If you can. Sign up for the trampolining. Such a good price. Something like £30 a term. And very good exercise for the kids...so good for the Lymphatic System too. We all should do it. I do. On my home rebounder. The only way to clear out your Lymphatic System is through movement. Its soo important. Anyway. Enjoy.

Positive experience: The softplay is great for my 4 year old daughter and she had loads of fun. Despite the signage requesting masks to be worn, none of the other parents were wearing masks and it wasn't being enforced however I do understand the difficulty with all of the kids there. The ball pit was also closed unfortunately but again due to Covid restrictions. Will definitely go again.

Negative experience: Gym has the potential to be one of the best in the area but better are more interested in the trampoline park, gym doesn’t open till 7am now Due to lazy staff

Fantastic experience: Great soft play that you can book online with prices from £2 for an adult and under 2. Soft play has access to a small trampoline area that’s included in price. Good for babies as it has a separate area and a huge area for bigger kids. There’s also lots of free parking, a children’s playground and a cafe next to that.

Positive experience: Excellent soft play and trampoline park... would highly recommend. Not cheap but kids love it. Covid procedures adequate from my point of view.

Negative experience: Booked for the trampoline Park, but only found out when we got there that you cant take 2 kids under 8 with 1 adult. But yet, still took my money. When asked for a refund. They said they don't do refunds. If that's the case. How did they let me book the tickets. Not happy.

William Mayo 5 years ago

Negative experience: Absolutely disgusting place. The staff make up the rules as they go along. They make you buy new socks even if you bring a pair from home, even if you bring the correct brand from sutton trampoline they will make you buy new ones. Apparently this is due to covid, however surly bringing your own means less physical interaction. They are taking advantage of people. Stay away

Carla Dean 5 years ago

Negative experience: Awful experience. Had to pay for new socks despite having three pairs already. Had to pay £13 to supervise my 7 and a half year old even though I was not jumping myself!! Outrageous and clearly trying to recoup financial loss from the covid situation! AVOID

Negative experience: This gym's strategy is more focused on squeezing out profit from customers rather than adding value. How can a year's gym membership go from £260 to £360 in a year (2018-2019), without any extra benefits? The UK target inflation rate is 2%, and that is not a 2% increase. How can the business decide to limit each member to visit the gym once a day in the post-lockdown period (in constrast to the pre-covid period) and expend the number of months customers have on their membership? How can the gym expect customers to clean the equipment before and after they use, what are their employees for then?

Fantastic experience: Did not visit the gym, it was the excellent play area for my youngest

Sa Ste 5 years ago

Positive experience: Use the sports centre for the kids soft play. Equipment is in good nick and is always relatively clean. There's definitely an issue with managing flow of people out, when it is busy it can feel quite overcrowded due to people overstaying their timeslot; this is not policed. Staff presence within the soft play area would be great as some rough children are allowed to run riot so flagging that up to parents not watching their children would be safer. The staff are friendly enough and there's a big car park.

Fantastic experience: Had a brilliant experience at the softplay today when I spilt a boiling hot tea over my 2 year old. The staff were amazing (in particular Anthony) and administered first aid so quickly then called for an ambulance. All the time reassuring me and being so kind and caring. They sent us to hospital with bags of sandwiches, drinks and snacks so we were prepared for the wait and asked if it was ok to call the next day to check on my daughter. They even promised to send some vouchers for a free visit.

Fantastic experience: Have attended and hosted several children's parties over the years. Today was bar far and away the best experience, since the recent refurbishment the setup in general is much better, the allocation of a party host that is much more engaged with the kids and the layout all made for a great party! Really recommend
