Negative experience: Worst Pilates class ever. Lack of organisation, no music or music which is not suited for a professional Pilates class; “Trainer” is rude and unprofessional. Gives a feeling of a school sport lessons, or someone just passed Pilates courses online on YouTube.

Negative experience: Never pick up the phone. Website offers information about Ramadan but not a single word on lockers operate - coins or padlocks. You just can’t find the info.

Negative experience: Beware taking your family to this location. It’s a place wherein the staff collaborates for stealing mobile phones. In the last 2 days mobile phones in locked lockers have been stolen and the management does not seem to bother. The manager came out on both occasions and just said he does not know. Requested multiple times to share the CCTV clearly ignoring the request . It seems pretty obvious that the staff are working with the thieves for these robberies.

Negative experience: Firstly, I am clearly saying that this is a ten-year-old writing this review Don’t mind any spelling or punctuation mistakes Me, my sister and mom went to the pool yesterday we had changed and everything even my sister had armbands and floats. Until, I heard the most heartbreaking, annoying, terrible news I had ever heard “Sorry but if you want to go swimming you have to be in the pool with them’ LIKE WHAT THE HELL WE WERE EXCITED AND NOW YOU ARE SAYING THIS IT IS SO DISAPPOINTING! So that night I was up all night crying and thinking I’m a terrible daughter and sister because my mom wasn’t planning to swim then me and my sister were like kicked out just because of that now whenever I think about going swimming this will be in my mind ugh . Like they don’t even care about people’s thoughts and the lifeguards just smiled at us “WHAT DO YOU EXPECT US TO DO WE HAVE WASTED SO MUCH MONEY ON THE BUS BECAUSE MY DAD WASN'T ABLE TO DROP US AND NOW YOUR GIVING US THIS STUPID HABIT’ ‍♀️ And a fact I’m giving you guys: Almost everyone has put 1 Star review I WILL NEVER SMILE AT YOU LIFEGUARDS IT NOW FEELS LIKE YOU ARE MY WORST ENEMY LIKE DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHO I AM? Positive experience: Very nice instructors and they are very kind fore example when I went swimming I got scared so then the instructor held me and my BFF hand

Negative experience: The stuff was very rude and inefficient at all especially ( Daniel) he is very unkind with kids under 6 and the changing was really dirty.

Negative experience: The hair dryer is not working I had to go out with my hair wet. 3 of the showers where not working properly, I had to wait 20 minutes for another womens because there were only 2 showers working + they don't have a parking and I had to Park to lild and there the time is only 1.30 h I has to go out runing with my hair wet hope they solved the problem by the next week otherwise I will cancel my booking online and never come back.

Negative experience: I wouldn’t recommend this place to any kid. The lack of engagement and professionalism is alarming. No hospitality No clean facilities Teachers rotation is enormous Not suitable for kids unfortunately.

Fantastic experience: I want to personally thank the poolside team and especially Hassan. He politely knocked before entering the ladies changing room today and I felt that it needs praise because he waited for a few minutes outside that door just to be respectful. He cleaned and done an amazing job. He also answers any questions I have. This goes to the other team members at the front desk. Thank you for being you guys.

Negative experience: Poor quality. The swimming pool is not properly cleaned while the presence of hair and even plastic debris does not make it better. Also, the smell of urine in men’s rooms is always present. The most surprising thing however, is lane allocation; no matter how few people might be having training courses, it is always a big part of the pool reserved for that reason, whereas the general public lanes remain 2-3 at most, with lots of people trying to fit in them. And the swimming pool stuff do not seem to be willing to make a change to accommodate all customers. Also, worth mentioning, that it’s plenty of times where groups of people do not go to swim but just standing in one side or in the middle of the pool, just hanging out (bear in mind the pool is very shallow so an average sized person always touches the bottom of the pool). That creates unnecessary congestion in the lanes and the stuff do not do anything to change the situation. I have been many times in Swiss Cottage’s swimming pool and the stuff there escort people out of the pool if they have such behaviour, as the pool is meant for swimming. When inquiring about complaints at the reception, during my last visit, the response received did not reflect a genuine concern about the situation. Overall, below average experience. There is potential to change, however that is up to the people running the swimming pool and the gym. If you would like to have a good swimming experience, opt for the swimming pool in Swiss Cottage.

Negative experience: Very bad swimming class experience for kids. Every class has different trainer and they do not have any understanding of level of learning. Can’t see growth, children still uses noodle pipe to float and they don’t encourage or give proper attention to use hands and breathing techniques under water. Looks like trainers are not trained to give training to kids. Water is always cold. Changing rooms have no locks. Person at the reception is rude! Can’t expect such a quality even after paying so much. This centre is not willing to improve or change. I would not recommend this to anyone at all. People who had joined with us or later already left, I see new people every time, that means other people with their kids are not happy with this swimming centre. Problem is this area has no other option.

Fantastic experience: Good place

Negative experience: The pool is terribly maintained with hair and even small pieces of plastic film floating. I don't think it's being regularly cleaned as this is a daily occurrence. The staff get inside the pool area wearing their shoes. The changing rooms are a bit better but the smell of urine is sometimes unbearable as the toilet and the changing rooms are in the same area and not at all ventilated. The scheduling is terrible. Half the pool is reserved for "swim for all" even if there are only 2 people booked while 15+ people try to fit in the remaining three lanes and with none of the staff members willing to adjust. Also be aware that there are "women only" hours which is fine but if the women only time is at 8, they will let you book regular swimming at 7:30. This means that while a session lasts 50 minutes you will have to leave at 30'. This is something they don't tell you. Overall terrible experience. Nobody seems to care enough to improve or even maintain the facility and naturally it's getting worse by the day.

Negative experience: I’ve been with Better for over 4 years now with the Swiss Cottage center and St Pancras. This experience is completely different,, I have raised complaints about the dirtiness of the gym 4 times now and never seen any work done regarding this. The place is always filled with dust and dirt and looks like it has not been cleaned in ages !!! Not coming back here …

Negative experience: Bad experience!!! The swimming pooll’s staff was horrible behaviour…the water too cold and deep!!! Before payment they doesn’t say anything regarding the rules…No parking space!! Bad opening hours!! Never and ever again!!!

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff, steam and sauna is working and newly renovated.

Positive experience: Great pool and never too busy but changing rooms are disgusting! They need to be cleaned much more frequently. Covered in water and hair, gross. Given the fact it’s been closed for over a year I would expect better, doesn’t look like any improvements have been made.

Negative experience: The weights room is tiny, it really isn't large enough to serve the number of users. It's also separate from the cardio room which, for me, is bad because you cannot keep an eye on the machines to see when they will open up. The low ceilings make it seem a bit stuffy compared to other gyms. I recently had an issue where I wanted to buy a 30 day pass to tide me over as my annual memberships were spaced out. They wanted me to pay £10 setup fee even though I'm already a member. That would take the total cost for using this gym for one month to £47 or so. This gym is honestly not worth £20 per month, I only go because my work pays for it. So paying almost £50 for a month here was not on the cards. Unfortunately, it's slim pickings for gyms in Wembley Park so this might be your best bet, just know it is not very good so you won't be disappointed. Update, after using this gym for three years, it's just awful. I recently started using the pool. It's ridiculously shallow. If you're even probably 5'9", maybe even shorter, you won't be able to tread water. That's how shallow it is. And sometimes they cordon off parts of the pool 'just because' (lifeguard could not explain why). Trust me when I say you should pick a different gym, this gym is awful. From the weights room to the pool, to the lack of customer service. It's just terrible, sorry. Go somewhere else. As I said, I went here because my job paid for it.

Fantastic experience: The best facilities in Wembley by far. The staff are lovely. Friendly, professional and always accommodating. Special mention to Maria who has been the greatest since day one. Super professional, friendly and always has a solution. She helped me with my incorrect swim school booking and made our weekend. Thank you Maria! I also wanted to comment on how great the swimming instructors are. They cater for all levels.

Negative experience: Really disappointing with the hidden charges

Positive experience: The gym is good. And some trainers take the classes exceptionally well. Unfortunately, not all trainers are good and they sometimes cancel the class just because there are less people who registered for it. The swimming pool and sauna facilities are well maintained. But the female changing room is beyond disgusting on weekends during kids sessions. Once it was so unbearable that I had to just go home without having a shower post swimming. It needs to be cleaned frequently.

Negative experience: Hi I have taken a subscription for swimming lessons for child aged 6 years at Wembley center. At the time of taking the membership, I have been told that my child will get lessons from instructor weekly once, and she can practise on any day when there is a swim for all slot. They confirmed that I can accompany my child for free to coach her since she < 8 years. I have been taking my child to lessons and few practise sessions so far for three weeks. Today they have refused me to enter and said I have to make a separate paid booking to accompany a child. I think this is completely unfair. An adult who takes a membership for 30 pound can practise any number of times and a child won't be able to practise without adult paid booking. Though I tried explaining the reception staff multiple times, they don't listen and are rude. This is a complete cheat! I took my child out of Vale Farm just that this is closer to my home. But this is unbelievable.

Negative experience: this gym is ok. definitely not the best. most areas especially the cardio area always smells of sweat and the machines can get really gross. there’s so much dirt and dust sometimes between the machines and the floor. the ac doesn’t seem to work either so it can get pretty unbearable when it gets warmer. now that the swimming pool reopened the changing rooms are absolutely filthy, so i definitely dont recommend the showers. the opening times too are annoying, especially on weekends when it closes 8pm and opens kinda late. i wish it would be 24h, but i guess i understand this isn’t always an option. i also wish there were more strength and resistance machines, and this area is definitely pretty small and missing a lot of essential machines. the gym is almost always busy, often at max capacity or beyond between 4:30-7pm. but overall it’s ok this gym does its job, i come here by convenience. not sure if it’s worth the 30 quid a month though. please just actually clean the equipment and changing rooms more often and install ac. ps: please change your music :[

Fantastic experience: Fantastic place

Negative experience: The swimming pool is dirty. Lots of people don't wear swimming caps and the staffs don't stop them from doing it. There are many hairs floating in the water.

Negative experience: don’t bother…you won’t get in. I tried twice. First it was simply closed for some maintenance issues which lasted for months. Today I tried again, brought cash, no, they only accept card. I think there is no sense to try again as god knows what other excuse they find to keep people away.

Positive experience: Not a massive gym. Lots of cardio equipment, but there should be more free weights. I'm giving a four because the customer service I received was great I had lots of questions about the gym and when the sauna and pool will be available and was given honest and helpfull information from two guys at the front who knew thier stuff. Also asked for advice about the security for my bike and they were very helpfull. Tried out Hiit class and the same guy who was on the front took the class and is a great instructor. Il be coming back to use the facilties and can't wait for the pool and sauna to open so I can use as my main gym

Negative experience: This gym is a rip off. The sauna and swimming pool facilities have been out of order for over 5 months and every time the staff say it will be fixed next week. The customer service team ignore many emails and pick and choose what they wish to reply too. Will not be paying ever again.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing place. the service was really fast/ the pool was clean and well organised. the changing room as clean and tidy. but my favourite part of it all was the cafe. The service was so kind and helpful the variate of food was amazing and really tasty. would go again.

Negative experience: Pool closed for over a year with no date of completion

Negative experience: Cardio room is too stuffy and always humid, it’s horrible to workout in. It makes my hair frizzy. Even walking on the treadmill I had to leave because I was getting out of breath. Not open 24 hours like the other nearby gym. There are barely any classes. The sauna and swimming pool have been closed for about a year and still have no confirmed open day. Changing rooms are clean and I like not having to bring a lock when I go to the gym but that’s just about it. The machines used are very modern too and better than other gyms I have gone to.

Positive experience: The showers in the male changing areas do not work apart from just ONE. Please fix this asap and also let all members know when the swimming/steam room and sauna will be open.

Positive experience: I was a member, I preferred it over the other local gyms as it was clean and I noticed that people cleaned after themselves. I haven't given it 5 stars as the gym classes were somewhat lacking, as there were few and the swimming pool was closed.

Fantastic experience: I don’t see no problem with the gym, all the people rating 1 star simply have no patience and are ignorant, Arrogant and rude as hell for giving low ratings this gym is very amazing i would give it a 100 star if I could very friendly managers and staff team always there and willing to help, but after all it’s an amazing gym out of every gym in Wembley this gym helped me build the most, and I would love to thank the staff team for letting me in even though I was late many times don’t listen to the people who rate this gym 1 star it’s a straight 5 star from me. Negative experience: This is my local gym and not the cleanest. When one does exercise on the floor you can see how filthy it is underneath the machines. If a fizzy and sugary drink spills over a machine no one cleans it and then the following user will get their hands stuck in the sticky and grimey handles. The aircon in the cardio room is inexistent and the room is full of humidity which clearly tells the air conditioning's filter is not well maintained (cleaned), of course, as you would expect the first thing you smell as you walk in is sweat which makes the experience so unpleasant. I had to freeze my membership during the summer months as it was unbearable and nothing has improved and it never will given the spike in energy prices. There used to be a cleaner whom I've never seen after the pandemic . Overall quite disappointed with the gym in general

Positive experience: I only go to this gym because the male changing rooms are clean. Credit to the main man HAIDER. The gym used to have a designated cleaner but the efforts Haider is making to keep the changing rooms and the lavatory in mint condition are noticeable. He is a man who is responsible for front reception tasks and functional area watch. He has gone beyond expectations in his work. On days he is absent, I have witnessed the most grim and filthy things in the male changing room. Other than this… PLEASE fix the Swimming/sauna/steam area. Give a deadline for completion at least and manage expectations. It’s been nearly 5-6 months since it has been closed.

Positive experience: Busy traffic location (Wembley very busy place), no free parking available. Music is in toilet, in changing rooms, in the gym & corridors, not good because it gives headache at least not music in changing room or toilet. gym not busy at most time which is a good. Gym is clean not messy.

Positive experience: This Gym is my go to gym since August, prices have gone up quite a bit, and the swimming pool&sauna is also shut, however decent gym with many equipments, and space for any workout, good vending machine incase you forget your bottle of water - can always purchase one, and also they have free filtered water at the gym where you can fill up your water bottles! Due to the swimming pool being closed, you would have free access to all nationwide better gyms until it is fixed- which is amazing- location is good near wembley park station. Nearby bustops and nearby train station.

Positive experience: It's pretty good, has a lot of treadmills and cardio machines, amazing staff, overall great experience. The only downside is the lack of weightlifting equipment and some of them are maybe rusty, but there's still enough for most people.

Negative experience: Warning, do not become a member! My son had back in January'22 paid £398 for the membership only to find the facilities over crowded and not working. He has requested a refund and it has been a month and they have stopped responding to his messages and there is no one to talk to on the phone. We are considering taking legal action!

Negative experience: Entitled, unfriendly managers who treat customers like cattle. Mixed wet and dry changing area makes it horribly messy, dirty and cold. About half of the shower working on a good day. A part of the pool is still broken for almost a year and not usable. The weight area is small, poorly equipped and often at capacity. The cardio area however is gigantic although merely used at all. But what really triggered my cancellation was when they decided to change the times of the pool and gym, closing it hours early than usual, without even sending an email to people that booked their usual slots (but they have put an A4 print on the door people, how do you dare complain???) The decided to open the gym during the entire Christmas holiday only between 9 and 17 meaning that regular working people cannot use it. However they refused to offer a refund or a discount on our membership. Awful place where you will rarely feel treated with intelligence and respect as all customers should be

Negative experience: It’s been out of order since 2 weeks now without repair, very small gym and already missing many equipments and get crowded quickly, you will do queuing more then you exercise, they close early at 10pm including swimming pool and sauna, I’m forced to come here until I move elsewhere!

Negative experience: 4 Showers broken for months and months , Steam room ,sauna and swimming pool opened only on certain times , broken hairdryers ,half of swimming pool closed , not enough equipment in the gym . Very poor management for a long time . But obviously they will ALWAYS charge you the full price , no matter what . The staff is really friendly and helpful ,nothing to complain about them but it seems like the managers dont care about the state of the place for a very long time now . A well deserved 1 star !!

Negative experience: TERRIBLE!!! I tried to freeze my membership because I'm injured and they ask me or proof of it (GP or Hospital). One day later day charged me the monthly payment arguing they can't freeze the membership without a proof from GP. I've tried to cancel it but they didn't refund the money as well. And I can't use the gym. There's no reason to steal this money. I'm not using the gym, more space for the other customers as well... Zero competence.

Positive experience: Updated review: The pool is currently closed for refurbishment so hopefully there will be nicer facilities soon. The female changing room remains dirty and unkempt- there's always hair lying around and the paper towels are always overflowing from the bin, with a soggy pile of them on the floor. Resistance gym is generally too small for the number of users and at most times of the day would benefit from more floor space here and less in the cardio gym. The staff on the front desk occasionally look bored out of their brains but there are an equal number of super friendly and enthusiastic people who work there and always say hello. Negative experience: This place’s gym is way too small. They do not have enough weights at all. They have good equipment for cardio and HIIT workouts and a swimming pool only. But for building muscle, their equipment is too limited. They don’t have many common and useful machines . Overpriced for sure in my opinion

Positive experience: Great leisure centre with good facilities. However, you guys have to try harder with the swimming pool. I go there to do lapse not have to dodge people pissing about not swimming. No social distancing going on either. The rules are there but your staff don’t enforce them.

Negative experience: I have been trying to get hold of them since yesterday and no one picks up. Every option directs you to the website or it just automatically disconnects. Useless having a phone number yet no one can get in touch with the leisure centre in an emergency!

Positive experience: The 25m swimming pool is quite good and the teachers are really nice. However the pool is not regularly cleaned and loads of users just linger around the pool chatting and occupying lanes, making it very difficult for swimmers to actually swim. Unfortunately, the changing rooms are dirty most of the times ... Staff is quite nice though.

Negative experience: An abandoned place. No attention to customers, no one to attend you. You need to grab their attention and wait for more than 10mnts to get someone. I went twice to inquire about a dry bag my kid left when he went swimming with his school and they lost it. The Chaperone who was with my kid's group told me that she gave it back to reception. I went back and nothing there.

Fantastic experience: Clean, tidy, good equipment but sometimes a little bit crowded

Negative experience: Wembley Leisure changing room facilities are completely rubbish. My child goes to the swimming club there every week and something is always broken e.g • A hairdryer where at one point both were out of order, • the tumble dryer which has been out of order since the new year • Shower which was out of service for over a month. And when a class finishes the kids are waiting to get in the showers. One down does not help! • The hand basin taps are not working properly. Water leaking, or a strange noise comes out when you switch them on • The changing facilities are dirty hair everywhere! • You have no hand towels. • Cubicles floor is so dirty. • The waiting area rooms are always full, and kids are running riots in there. No one ever checks! They are dirty too. As for customer service. I raised a query over xmas period and never got to the bottom of this someone did call me and i didn't take his name he promised to call back after I finished work and I never got this call. sent in another 2 emails but no one comes back to you from the leisure centre. I wished they emailed me back instead of calling. I know they are at wrong hence they never called me back and then changed the posters at the leisure centre for the date closure over the swimming period. They are quick to take your direct debits every month and never gets any refunds for things not working. The leisure centre is new and looks great but just not maintained and customer service is not great.

Fantastic experience: I really love it. Has pool available for women only on Saturdays. The water is warm enough. Their classes are really good and motivating. Plenty of workouts

Negative experience: Terribly kept gym. Couple of the showers are broken, locks on changing cubicle doors are missing, toilets don't flush (yep, they actually do not flush and I'm pretty sure a cleaner has to come and manually flush them) and hair dryers dont work. Always wondering what will be broken next when I return. Whoever is running this place needs to actually walk around it once in a while and see what needs fixing (hint, most of it).
