Positive experience: Nice venue but the court hall is completely freezing. Poor badminton nets,

Negative experience: Arriving at the leisure centre around the nursery / school drop off and collection periods is just chaos. Hundreds of parents are forced to walk through the leisure centre car park, where there is no actual footpath for them. Surely there can be an agreement between the leisure centre and schools to open the gates between the car parks, as some of the teachers with kids open the gates for themselves and their child, so it seems that the health and safety rules don't necessarily apply to everyone. The card / phone scanning system needs improvement, as at times I've arrived in the reception, attempted to scan in but have been told to wait for 5+ minutes, as someone behind the counter was on the phone to a customer processing something (not sure what exactly) and said it would affect what they're doing so I couldn't scan. The position of the scanner should also be changed or a second scanner could be introduced, as again, I've needed to scan in for the gym, but the receptionist is dealing with a parent and kids, so are completely blocking the scanner (unintentionally). Even when you do scan, it is a very slow system. In the changing rooms, half of the male lockers are broken in some way or another and at peak times, when the waves of school kids take over the gym, they also completely fill up all the benches in the changing room with their backpacks, which makes it difficult to change, as the floor is soaking, plus no room on the benches. Maybe some more hooks can be placed on the walls so that all the school kids can hang their bags there, as hardly any of them actually use the lockers. Within the gym itself, it's possible to get by, but it is the most under equipped gym that I've ever trained in. It is missing some very common / basic equipment, such as a back cable rowing machine, bicep curl machine, tricep machine, hack squatt machine, preacher curl bench, decent calf machine and the list goes on. When equipment brakes down, it often takes many months to fix or replace, which can be very frustrating, as with most of the stuff in the gym, there is only one of them. Examples of these are when the only hamstring machine was broken for a few months, the only EZE bar was broken for about half a year and currently, one of the 20kg barbells is completely bent, but is still there. There are 3 barbells in total and quite often, I'm forced to use the bent barbell, as 1 is being used for bench press (which is absolutely fine) but the 2nd bar gets taken away and used for classes next door. At least twice a month, I'm essentially forced to use a broken barbell to carry out heavy squats in the only squat rack, which is not great considering the almost £40 a month fee. Definitely room for improvement.

Fantastic experience: Llantwit is the best leisure centre and I've been to many! The staff are great , gym, classes, and swimming .. I love the pool atmosphere, amazing and met lots of friends

Negative experience: This is the worst gym I have ever experienced. Way over-priced for membership. Policies are absolutely absurd. The gym is always a mess, and the equipment is often broken or poorly maintained.

Positive experience: Been going to this gym for years now, just wish they opened at 6am, I would try and avoid going between 4pm/5pm as It turns into a youth club full of kids that have just finished school and is really busy, the pool is not the biggest but is great for my kids, the sports hall is reasonably big, I would give a 5* only letdown for me is not opening at 6am and weekends they open at 8am

Positive experience: Pool is ok normally quiet but is on the smaller side at 17.5 metres. Changing rooms need a good clean and update.

Positive experience: The only issue I had was the main hall is ridiculously dusty it needs a good wash and polish and we couldn't get a full court practice because the basketball ring at the other end of the court isn't working properly so we can't get a proper practice in which at the moment is quite important to me as well as the rest of the team but I'm trying to get myself into game fitness so I can play for the Welsh men's Basketball team.

Negative experience: Decent gym for what it is. However, both cubicles in the male toilets have been out of order for months. You can’t use the disabled ones as they are locked. If you’re a male (especially a child or elderly), be sure to take a bucket with you incase you need a number 2. The membership prices are going up, but nothing is being fixed or repaired.

Positive experience: Good place to visit, good facilities and good staff too

Positive experience: It's a good center but the pool is small and there's no where to sit while waiting for swimming lessons

Fantastic experience: Aqua aerobics was excellent! Good, friendly teacher and a top workout!

Positive experience: Overall good leisure centre. I've been using the gym now since January and it's much better than what it was before. Although I wish the price of the gym membership monthly was slightly cheaper. Good friendly staff. Good gym equipment.

Fantastic experience: Lovely friendly staff. Place is very clean and for a small community is well equipped with small pool, good gym etc. Cardio in gym isn't the biggest, few running machines and stepper etc. No bikes or rower. Weights machines and free weights is very good with lots of choice. Money off for disabled users.

Fantastic experience: First two weeks of using the gym and I'm loving it. You can even connect to the individual equipment and track your progress.

Positive experience: Good quality cheap swimming session from 13:45 - 1500 on on a Sunday. We took out 2 and half year old and 18 month old and had a good session. Communal changing are was clean. Although showers lacked water pressure though. Pool was clean and lifeguard was helpful. Floats/noodles available to borrow for little children as there is no toddler pool! There are vending machines in the foyer. YOU NEED TO PRE BOOK TO VISIT!

Positive experience: This is a decent enough local authority gym, for a decent price on a flexible contract. The gym could be a bit better equipped but space constraints probably limit this

Positive experience: Very basic and the showers aren't really usable but the water was warm in the pool and all clean.

Fantastic experience: It's great freinds can go with you but in the swimming pool you could make it a bit warmer or colder on cirten days
