Positive experience: It's ok. False advertising on the website. Good range of equipment. Men's changing rooms were filthy and smell horrid. The website says "LUXURY CHANGING ROOMS. Spacious changing rooms with extra large lockers and powerful showers." None of this is true. They're not luxurious at all. They're the smallest changing rooms I've ever used in Norwich, hardly spacious. Extra large lockers? No. Completely average. I had to unpack my backpack to fit it in. Powerful showers? More like a trickle.

Positive experience: Great place! Normally can get a decent work out even at peak times. I did leave my headphones in the changing room and never saw them again. Mostly my fault but definitely get a lock.

Positive experience: A really good gym and great equipment and great price. Only bad thing about it is people taking up 3 or 4 machines at one time. Even hanging items of clothing over to stop people using them. Specifically people in mornings.

Fantastic experience: No idea what all the negative reviews are about. Just remember to enter your license plate number for the free parking on arrival, it’s not that difficult. My advice is don’t listen to the whingers, this gym is excellent value for money and really clean and friendly. Super impressed.

Negative experience: This is actually a decent gym, equipment is good, but of course with the price comes a lot of people, which would be fine if most of them weren’t glued to their phones taking up the equipment. Tonight was pretty bad, all 4 machines I wanted to use for my workout were taken up. All by people sat on their phones.

Negative experience: Denied access after rectifying my bank issue….shameful that Pump Gym can’t be as efficient, requested a call back…hours later still no contact…. customer serving failure!!!

Positive experience: I love this gym , great value for money and equipment is fantastic ! Staff members are brilliant and super friendly . Of course with this day and age the tripods are out in full force - unfortunately this isn’t something you can really avoid these days . Unfortunately one did post a video for clout but she got destroyed by Joey Swole which was fab . Her account soon went after that I’ve also met some friends through this gym that make it even more pleasant !!! My only gripe is the temperature !!! A few of the members have commented after I asked as I thought , maybe it was just me being constantly on the cusp of an infection or virus but it’s not ! It is super hot in here please fix the AC ❤️ UPDATE - They responded very quickly to my email and I talked with the GM in person and the temp has now been adjusted - hopefully it will keep during peak times ! If that isn't excellent customer service I don't know what is. If you are on the fence about joining just do it.

Fantastic experience: Facial recognition makes it very convenient compared to having a code to remember. Good range of equipment and good lighting.

Positive experience: Equipment is good but not looked after, no discipine. Changing rooms have mold. Entrance system scans your face and didn't let me in for about 10 minutes. Could be fixed by having pin entry.

Negative experience: terrible gym kept getting loads off parking tickets and got a parking ticket for £170 and they sent it to my old address and wouldn't revoke it even when you get free parking when using the gym canceled my membership at this gym terrible if your thinking off joining thats up to you. terrible!

Negative experience: grim changing rooms, it is actually hard to breathe in there with the strong smell of ammonia and i certainly wouldn't feel safe taking my shoes/socks off. equipment is worn out and sub par. tripods and filming everywhere and i got £200 of parking fines (on a motorcycle, with no sign being told you cant park there) just go to a pure gym/gym group if you want a cheap gym, this ain't the one

Negative experience: They Always got problem with showers, in winter not hot showers, this is 4 times within 3 months, achanging room and showers also are not clean enough.

Positive experience: Well. What can you say. Too many tripods everywhere and ego lifters! Everyone wants to train in peace. And showers well you clearly need a new boiler.

Negative experience: Narcissistic female members record innocent men minding their own business, shaming and attempting to cancel them on tiktok/insta for their own validation. If you're a man who just wants to work out and not be recorded for 1000's of people to mock and abuse, DO NOT VISIT

Negative experience: Beware, not casual friendly. Influencers demand you let them film in peace or you will be publicly shamed as a creep on the internet if you go to this gym and mind your own business doing your workout.

Negative experience: Please be careful when you're in this establishment. They have tiktok "influencers" filming themselves then falsely accusing other patrons of being creepy. This type of behavior is disgusting and this gym needs to kick out those people filming and then implement a no filming policy.

Negative experience: Hammer strength everything. As far as the building itself goes there's loads to use and enjoy. The sheer business and uncleanliness was shocking when I went though. Dumbbells and plates everywhere. Constantly hunting for plates to go up on the machines. God forbid a powerlifter comes in to leg press, because all the plates will disappear. Needs a lot of weight trees and a lot of tidier members to get me to return Edit: Returned somewhat recently due to my gym being closed, when I tried to leave the doors wouldn't let me or 3 other people out. We pressed the emergency alarm 6 times in total, and after 2 and a half hours of being told they were trying to contact a manager to come help, it turns out they had remote door access the entire time. One of the people I was stuck in there with said they mentioned buying another day pass to see if it would let us out. I also have footage of every fire door being LOCKED. This is disgusting behaviour to be honest, I was desperate for the toilet that entire time and couldn't access either of those and was sat around in agony. It's insulting they put their profits before my safety and wellbeing, trying to get more money out of me before I left. Do better Pumpgym, because I've never been treated worse at any gym I've been to in my life

Positive experience: Good: -Fantastic to have such a large space -Nice culture -Amazing pricing -24 h access with face ID, makes you appreciate it when going to back to fobs and such -Sauna!! -Ok showers, and changing rooms for men -I don't use them but seems there's a decent amount of free classes Not so good: -At least one cable is always broken -Equipment isn't good quality and not updated often, and focus isn't on bodybuilding/calisthenics -People often leave weights on or in the wrong place -Wifi is atrocious, can't connect and when you can only lasts for about 30 mins, although good incentive to not be on the phone -Could get a lot more equipment in by rearranging floor space Overall: I would give a 2 star in the grand scheme of things with a bit of elitist bias, but value for money it would get 4 star, so think 3 star is fair, but definitely nothing 'bad' just could be better quality, and could have done so had different decisions been made when renovating the Wearhouse. Thanks for the 3 months I've been there.

Fantastic experience: Had my first session here at Pump Gyms Norwich. Hands down, the best gym and gym experience I’ve had in the UK. I’ve tried Pure Gym and The Gym before. But this was a whole another level. Facial recognition entry. 6 hours free validated parking. Gym is huge with a wide range of machines. Sauna, shower and lockers available. Excellent customer service and friendly staff. No joining fee. Cheapest in Norwich. App UI/UX could be better, but not important. Definitely recommend and will go again. Happy I found “the best, perfect gym”. 10 on 10 experience. (Ignore the picture, will upload better ones later)

Negative experience: Good gym but....... Keep away from afternoon sessions Gym full of Love Island and Instagram stars, people wearing sunglasses or winter hats during workout.....tik tok population -Aircon not working for few days now -Always issue with toilets or showers -if you workout early in the morning "you have to" register your car otherwise belents from some random small car park police will give you ticket. Hang on...since when I gave permission to storage my car details, addresses etc etc to some "texas rangers" ? -WIFI doesn't work (just ask staff lol) Typical English standards

Positive experience: I like the fact it's a 24/7 gym, although the weights are often not kept where they belong, and having to trek upstairs to the changing room, just to take something in or out of my locker between exercises, is not ideal. It's also busier than expected when I've been at 5:30am, which isn't my preference. I go early to have few other people.

Positive experience: The equipment is pretty good, I like the aesthetics of the place. At peak times it can be very busy and sometimes hard to get on the equipment. The changing rooms though, they seem to not be very well ventilated as they do smell at times and then other times they have moisture on the walls etc from the showers. Overall for the price I'd say its good, but if you're very picky, probably give it a miss.

Negative experience: Pump Gym is fine, until something goes wrong. Changed banks last week. Staff at the Norwich branch have no access to those records, there is no phone number, just an email address. Was told to pay an invoice before 6pm to keep my membership, which I did, but I wasn't certain the payment had gone through. Sent several replies, no response. Can't use the gym tonight and will probably have to rejoin at a higher price. It's properly infuriating. Might just sack it off and join somewhere else.

Fantastic experience: awesome gym, excellent set of workout machines. the gym is tidy and clean, also has a great atmosphere and vibes and vast parking space.

Negative experience: Hot water ran out in the middle of a shower. The water was intermittently cold and hot rather than warm.

Negative experience: If I could give 0 stars, I would. As per the gym's sign inside the doors, we didn't need to enter our number plate for free car parking, as we were entering the premises after 6am. Cue our confusion when we received 3 separate parking fines stating that the breaches all started around 6.15am-6.30am across the 3 days. We went to Pump Gyms and spoke with the manager as we were not going to be paying these fines, when it was clearly stated on their signs at which time we needed to enter our number plates. We were then told to appeal with timestamps of our entry to the gym to show that we had a valid reason to park there - we'd also taken a picture of the sign in Pump Gyms stating that between 10pm-6am, you need to enter your number plate details. Weirdly - one of our appeals was successful but the other 2 were not. As this was the fault of Pump Gym's sign being incorrect, and per their advice of appealing, we then got in touch with Pump Gyms to ask them to sort this on their end. They swiftly said they would sort this and to not worry about it. We've now received another letter saying that as we ignored their previous notice about the appeals being rejected, we now owe £340. Again, we got in touch with Pump Gyms to say 'what's going on?' and they explained that (even though we were following their directions) we shouldn't have appealed, and they aren't liable for the £340 so we'd have to pay it. We've been members since this site opened and have immediately cancelled our memberships. Absolutely disgusting behaviour and lies from them. Would never recommend.

Negative experience: While being well priced, practical, and very well equipped, the condition of the restrooms once again frustrates me. Urine-scented and utterly disgusting. I had reported this previously via email, but nothing has changed (might I suggest some PEE matts for the urinals?). View images

Positive experience: Some great equipment. needing more mid weights 10 kg to 20kg as busy periods can't get hold of them. shame no natural light. mirrors and equipment poorly placed in most situations, main weights benches too low compared to other local gyms.

Negative experience: Hands down the worst experience I have ever had with any gym. Why have a facial recognition system if it doesn't work? I've not been able to access the gym multiple times. 24/7 gyms are supposed to be convenient yet this has been a massive waste of my time. If anyone I know even has a slight fleeting interest in the gym, I will make sure to go on a long detailed rant about how terrible your system is. Other than that great gym ...

Positive experience: Have recently started at here. I think it is probably better than the one across the road next to Asda. Have only been a couple of times but I think it's pretty decent. Pros: - Good range of equipment -Good quantity of equipment -The weights in the weights area were largely where they were supposed to be -Everything is spaced out quite nicely -Everything was clean and tidy Cons: -Changing rooms are a bit cramped, and the showers are a bit rubbish. It's not been too busy when I've been in there, but I expect when it's busy personal space will be at a premium -(fairly minor) There is one water fountain and it's very well hidden. I had to ask both a cleaner and another member to be able to find it. Some sinage or a second fountain wouldn't go a miss -I'm not a fan of the facial recognition system. I appreciate it's convenient, however I generally prefer not to trust companies with biometric data. I appreciate that this may be a pro for some people, but I would prefer a simple manual PIN entry. Other notes: -If you're new to the gym, bring a padlock for the lockers. It's been a couple of years for me so I kind of forgot about this. -The app : it's useful, however I've had a few issues with logging workouts when switching between apps or locking my phonesor some reason.

Positive experience: Has potential to be a great gym however a few things let it down. Members have no respect leaving rubbish on gym floor but never seems to be cleared up from not so proactive staff. The changing rooms have members making it dirty leaving toilet paper and chewing gum in urinals etc, showers smell and don't ever seem clean. To use the toilet you must walk over a wet floor which creates a muddy surface. Water fountain area is messy and never seems to be clean. Hopefully this feedback is seen by owners however if things don't improve il be trying to find a cleaner gym.

Fantastic experience: Lots of space, lots of machines, the showers are very nice,always places to park, the sauna is lovely, there's hair dryer, the entrance you don't need to memorise pin codes ( just the 1st time) so it's much more easy, I've got nothing negative to say about pump gyms

Positive experience: Plenty of equipment, more than enough space for peak times, though the changing rooms really could do with some form of A/C or additional ventilation, it's an absolute sweatbox in there. Also fairly sure they don't bother checking ID's, definitely some underage visitors after overhearing conversations from groups discussing their recent GCSE results...

Fantastic experience: Nice and huge, very spacious! Even if there are 100 people it’s not feeling overcrowded. I just love the fact that the music there is very quite.. you can talk easily with your gym partner, or can listen to your own music without wondering how to silence the in-house music!

Fantastic experience: I am giving 5 stars because for the price it really is good value; you can't expect a gym of the highest standards without it costing a fair bit more. It seems like most of the infrastructure issues that occurred in the first few weeks have now been resolved. There is a lot of equipment and I've never had to wait around longer than a few mins on the rare occasion to use what I want. I have been to one class so far (Combat HIIT) which was great but there were only 3 of us attending when 13 had registered to go. It seemed a shame for the instructor - maybe something could be put in place to encourage people to not show up? Also the music was REALLY loud (I know it's supposed to be but it was a bit much when there were just 3 of us) and the instructor wasn't using a mic which meant he had to yell over the music for the entire hour. Could do with a couple more sanitising stations as there is only one in the middle of the gym floor. Other than that it's a great gym, unpretentious with a decent selection of equipment.

Positive experience: I would award 4 stars if you kept the sauna running 24 hours and at a decent temperature... it's far too cool, and not worth using. Please set it to at least 90 celsius. And please have it on all the time! I come for early morning sessions, around 5/6 am and it's stone cold. Thanks

Negative experience: Purely as a place to train in Norwich it's second only to Fully Pumped, which is high praise. It should be 5 stars given the high level spec of weight training equipment and as a Hammer Strength Training Centre but it's seriously let down by the poor infrastructure. 1. The showers in the changing rooms haven't worked since the gym opened. 2. Only one water fountain in the whole gym - a sink and tap downstairs. Both the sink and tap had broken within the first week. I don't know who thought a cheap ceramic sink in a commercial gym was a good idea. 3. A sauna in the changing rooms seems like a fantastic idea on paper but the reality is that during its operating hours, the changing rooms become unbearably hot with no AC in there either. 4. The final straw was today. They failed to fix a water leak that has been going on for at least 24 hours. I know because I was there when it started, the next day when the collecting buckets were out and the next day when the water had been shut off. As a result, there was no running water in the changing rooms and no drinking water available for gym users, and the cleaners who were equally frustrated at 5am. No communications were sent out by the gym to its users about there being no drinking water and at 5am there is no where near by to buy water. No drinking water in a gym, with no communications and no alternatives made available was completely ridiculous, unacceptable and unconscionable especially when they had at least 24 hours to make suitable arrangements.

Positive experience: Good gym lot’s of good equipment. But nothing works! Showers broken . Water fountain sink is broken , I went today and the gym is literally flooding and doesn’t look like nothing was being done about it . Definitely some equipment yet to arrive, should have taken more time before opening.

Negative experience: Unfortunately they let one member in there who is just a menace and ruin the whole environment

Negative experience: Still a lot of equipment has not arrived. Been told different times.. Be honest if you do not know. Showers have not worked for 5 says and still broken. Do not sell Rome if it is not finished yet.
