Fantastic experience: As a female who can find a gym intimidating, I love it here. It’s a small gym and may not have as much equipment as bigger chains, but I’ve always been able to achieve the workout I’ve wanted to do, by making the most with what is available. I love the Zumba class, it’s always so much fun and I have the best time with the best group! I’ve also attended some other classes which I’ve also enjoyed. Sarah and Clinton are absolute legends! So friendly, welcoming and are always making me smile/laugh. They’re always boosting your confidence and cheering you on. Emily is another staff member who has always been so helpful and kind. Overall, I’m super happy with my membership. It’s a non judgmental place with a lot to offer for a small gym.

Negative experience: This friend of mine invited me (I have always defended this gym because I am a customer of theirs). When I heard hard thumps, I was shocked. How could someone even live in a place like this which such loud noises? If I hadn't heard it, I wouldn't have believed it. He told me how the noise was affecting his and his family's mental health, creating stress, waking them and their little son from sleep. They asked the gym to soundproof the floor, to separate the machines with something that dampens the noise and vibration, but despite Council Spelthorne being involved they are not being persuaded. I cannot suport this business now becouse I know how little they care about people. I am writing this to make others aware of how bad the situation is for my friend and other residents living next to this gym. In the video you can hear an example of the noise impact we recorded. (turn the sound on) I now understand why residents wanted the gym not to be open from 6am. If I was in their shoes and the gym woke me up at 6am every day I would go mad. Until that changes, my one star here will remain. I also found another gym, it's called Eclipse Centre in Staines, it's not far from here. It's actually even better: it has loads of classes (a lot more than here), it has a rooftop pitch to play on, a pool and lots of other equipment. I recommend going there instead of this gym to give the manager time to resolve the issues he is causing residents living nearby. I sincerely hope this letter is taken seriously by the team at Energy Fitness.

Negative experience: What a joke of a gym, advertised starting price at an ‘affordable’ £35. Here is what you get: -The owner is so cheap that females and males use the same toilets and there are only two small toilets for the whole gym use. -Females do not have their own area where they can feel safe to change, clearly a man owns the gym. -Stinking and unsanitary toilets. -No air-con -When running members of the public can see you and the sun shines in your eyes -Workers stare at you and only speak to a ‘selected’ few This gym is worth no more than £15 a month it’s supposedly new but has old machines. The staff members have also broke data protection rules. I had the option to bring a friend 2 friends a month. When they asked me for their details they were required to provide their names and phone numbers. A couple days later they got a call from one of the workers at this gym persuading them both up to join!!! These people break all the rules how dare you call my friends and use their numbers for your own personal gain!!!!!! Very unprofessional and embarrassing As a result membership cancelled after 1 month good bye.

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff very knowledgeable sadly they are not permitted to drill holes in walls for Punch bags and the noise to the flat above Real shame because it's a great place to work Out

Negative experience: Gym is really overpriced. Not a lot of variety of machines and they have plenty of space to get more. Bit of a rip off considering a lot of stuff is out of order for ages, and you're paying mid range prices for facilities which don't have the bonus of a spa etc

Negative experience: Went in today to see about joining with my husband. Was ignored by two members of staff for a good five minutes while they had a chat, was stared at and it just seemed like they couldn’t be bothered. Will not be joining.

Positive experience: Nice staff. Only thing is wish there was a bit more leg equipment such as hip abductor machine.

Fantastic experience: Recently joined the gym as it's more local than my previous gym. Just wanted to say that Clinton was an absolute gem with getting me started. He really went the extra mile!

Positive experience: Great little gym, has all you need. The only complaint isn't about the gym but the patrons. WAY too many are too bl00dy lazy to put their weights back after using them

Fantastic experience: Really impressed with how clean & tidy the gym was. Gym feels more elite & organised. It could do with some more machines for workout for sure but overall I love it. Gym manager Emily was really friendly & helpful, she was cleaning equipment herself in evening, it’s positive to see manager is as involved as staff but if you are local to Ashford it’s totally worth the membership. They’ve had setback with opening hours by council which forced them to open at 8 am instead of 6 am but hopefully the ongoing appeal will sort things quickly.

Negative experience: The gym facilities are excellent and fit for purpose. The opening times have recently changed from 6am - 10pm Monday to Friday to 8am - 11pm. Which has now severely impacted my ability to train before work. I am sure I’m not be the only person affected by this inconvenient change. I will not be continuing my membership at énergie fitness as a result.

Fantastic experience: This is my favourite gym - the staff and management are very helpful and inviting! I like their little challenges and member of the month, it’s a nice touch to see

Positive experience: Nice gym, well equipped, good atmosphere, friendly staff and members. Fairly priced as it's not overcrowded (unlike the well known gym chains that only worry about signing up as many people as they can). The parking spaces can be a problem depending on the time, but seems to have become better lately.

Positive experience: Called the gym to freeze a membership and the receptionist or staff member was rude and not friendly at all.The friendly attitude was not there .It was not a good customer service,they need to train their staff.

Negative experience: Recently joined this gym & considering it is a fairly new gym, my experience so far has been poor. The gym is not very well maintained. Management need to be more proactive in the day to day running. Some of the key equipment has been out of order for over 2 weeks now. 2 treadmills are not working out of the 6 available. Some of the showers/toilets are out of order & the showers/ toilets available to use are dirty & need to be cleaned more often through out the day considering there is a lot of members that use these facilities. Staff should be more proactive in ensuring the gym floor is cleared and weights are restacked prior to peak times. Due to cancel my membership after one month. If you’re local & looking for a gym I would look elsewhere. It’s not worth the monthly fee of £34.99 considering there are other cheaper options.

Positive experience: Good gym needs a good clean. Toilets and machines require more regular cleaning. Perhaps the use of a towel should be mandatory

Negative experience: The owner of this gym is breaking the law from very first beginning, august 2022, opening this place by not having any planing application to council. Legal hours for this business space class are 8 am to 10 pm but the owner is above law and is opening at 6 am, disturbing badly us as neighbours by high levels of noise, banging, vibrations. His excuse for breaking the law is:” I was not aware”. More than that after long time council failing doing their job gave them a notice for 7 days to adjust opening hours but the owner is above law and still opening at 6 am doing in a hurry a planing application to extent operating hours.

Negative experience: What a shame this place exists. Another place full of negativity. Management is disrespectful

Negative experience: I was never believing someone in UK can break the law so badly,management of this business is breaking the law in to many ways by not complying with business spaces category opening hours and not having a planing permission from council for their main activity which is generating high levels of noise/vibrations/bangings.More than that his general manager was trying to buy my silence with discount for gym membership. Probably the owner done same with council planning officer, bought him to close the eyes. The comercial space was planned by council as retail and now we have a gym which doing Olympic weightlifting and deadlifting, dropping 100-120-140-160 kg on a 30mm rubber mat causing massive vibrations/noise to a residential building. To be the package complete, they have installed without planning permission from council AC units in a bin room, generating massive heat transferable to flats above in a 35 degrees Celsius and putting the building in danger of fire. Google should revise the rating star scale for this business. From myself is a MINUS 5 star. Play the video to witness how loud is when Olympic weights are dropped, and we are leaving above.

Negative experience: It's alright if you need a gym in a hurry and your not around from the area. The major downside is that if you are driving to the gym there is nowhere you can park you vehicle.
