Positive experience: Probably the warmest swimming pool on the Wirral if still fairly cold, pretty tired feeling, but better than most locally.... what can you say, we're running the country into the ground!

Positive experience: Well, it's difficult to criticise the swimming, gym facilities and classes. Welcoming staff. But after 5-6pm there seems to be a complete lack of atmosphere. At a time when people who have finished work, the food and coffee place closes - which is when it would probably be used most. Overall recommended. More seating area outside would be appreciated.

Positive experience: I come here a lot either for kids footy in the hall or for the gym upstairs. I'd say that all needs are fulfilled but nothing to really get excited about. If using the gym, there's a teenagers crazy hour during Friday evenings. Be warned!

Took the time out to talk to me about the benefits of swimming on my physical and mental health.He really made me feel welcome. Nice clean swimming facilities also

Fantastic experience: Extremely helpful staff. Limited book collection but you can order from other library for £1.20 fee. Printing available A4 25p each.

Positive experience: There is a considerable parking charge which is ok for an odd visit but a problem if you want to make a regular trip to the gym. The car park costs more than the gym membership.

Positive experience: Building just looks like it needs a lot of TLC. Staff are friendly but don't really get involved with people in the gym and tend to sit on their phones behind the desk. Needs a massive revamp and maybe more Les Mills (not virtual) or Zumba included on the timetable - it's quite samey and if you're not into spin or yoga it's quite limited.

Positive experience: Sports hall is freezing cold absolutely tell Wirral council are skint.

Positive experience: Great pool, not too deep, fairly warm water, but most of the lockers and changing rooms are covered in mould because they only wash them with water.

Fantastic experience: Always nice staff and lovely pool. The canteen staff go out of their way to be helpful. Very patient and kind to little ones and always a smile and good service for the rest of us. They also know how to fry bacon and egg properly

Negative experience: Very dirty changing rooms. I don’t think the pool is regulated properly. The last few times I’ve swam here I got a sore throat and a cough. I can only assume the chlorine levels are higher than they should be and there is inadequate ventilation. Also, lots of hairs at the bottom of the water.

Negative experience: I went for the public swim session today which had already been shortened from 1hr to 3/4hr 1.15 to 2pm, I arrived around 1pm to get changed ready for my swim (being disabled it takes a little longer to get ready, I would usually have my costume on but had been in a gym class previously which I would give 5 stars too) anyway when I went to book in they said you couldn't do that until 1.15 when the session starts which meant you wouldn't be getting the full 3/4hr session. I have never come accross this before at other local centres. I will go elsewhere in future.

Negative experience: The pool is beautiful, absolutely lovely but the changing rooms seriously let it down. Some of the changing rooms are just absolutely disgusting. I honestly feel gross getting changed in them. 90% of the showers don't have proper showerheads. There also isn't free parking at this place so expect a £2 charge for a two hour visit. -3.5/5 for the pool. ( +1 for some floaties but -0.5 for no diving) - 0.5/5 stars for the changing rooms. - 1/5 for the parking as still convenient. - Overall 1.66/5 stars. Score will be rounded down.

Negative experience: water was freezing staff wer very arkward with my son who has autism no throwing the ball Wen the pool was empty dirty nappys in changing room never going there again dnt understand why u have to shower Wen public are walking pool side with there dirty shoes on also water was like an ice bath and pool was very grubby no star rating from me first time bk in 30 years looks like still got the same cold pool water in very overpriced I will stick to my local pool

Fantastic experience: First time visiting weskirby concorse with my daughter booked aerobics class 10 am till 11am today 3.3 2023 ..well it was great loved it so much .it was good fun .the teacher was brilliant .water was nice and warm .staff very helpfull very friendly .Worth a visit .just amazing thank you very much

Negative experience: My poor brother had a sad time here.

Negative experience: Wasn't even present this evening but i have heard of an outrageous altercation between the staff and my dear friend Daniel, this poor little boy was left out in the freezing cold because the staff hadn't booked the right court this evening and pressured him to book another day or get a refund, all he ever wanted to do from his early days was has have a nice joyful evening playing the sport he loves. Won't be coming here again anytime soon.

Fantastic experience: 6/12/22 Thanks going to get an E or a D on my maths integration CCT tomorrow because of the sadness that has arisen from the faulty bookings of the basketball court. The reason I give at least one star is because my parents evening was 2 weeks ago (rather than in a couple months) meaning my parents will never know I got this awful result. On a serious note the reviews below say the whole story apart from Freddie Herdman (don’t know who he is) 22/6/23 EDIT: i got an A on the test, and it turned out it wasn't your fault, it was DJ Mezzas (west kirby warriors head coach and occasional manager) astounding dyslexia which has let you down. sorry lads

Negative experience: Mid ahh sports centre. The staff had no ball knowledge and no court as promised. Big Tony Tatar wasn’t best pleased either (he told me to write this). Don’t come to this place if u want to play basketball. Go like Ethan Hunt and Dan Merrets reviews please

Negative experience: Not Best pleased after todays episode of events. Walked into a circus followed by a complete lack of respect to myself and my pals. Basketball court was booked and then we were told that it was not and that there was a mistake! :( . Was forced to rebook or have a refund. Not happy 0 stars if possible!

Negative experience: My friends and I booked to use the basketball court for Monday evening. We asked for 7pm as that is the only time we could all do. When we arrived they had booked for the wrong day, wouldn’t let us use the court, wouldn’t even try to speak to the people on the court and did not try at all. Two members of staff stood and were not allowed their opinion even though they seemed as if they wanted to say something. We weren’t allowed to speak to the manager and the lady’s who helped us were of no use, essentially prodding us to choose between a refund and for booking another night(didn’t specify whether we had to pay or not). Staff didn’t seem interested and we were left standing like lemons if lemons were basketballs. We were told to make a decision and felt quite rushed and not accommodated. We will be finding a new basketball court!!!!! Disappointed

Positive experience: Decent but extremely cold pool. Went in with children at the weekend and couldn’t last more than 20 minutes. It was absolutely freezing and the children got very cold. It would be much better if they warmed up the water to a better, more human friendly temperature

Negative experience: Haven't been here for about 4 years and I couldn't believe the condition it's in. It was so grubby and dated. The whole building needs refurbishing. There were even flies in the shower area and changing area, really put me off and made me feel so uncomfortable I think they need to get rid of all the tiles and put waterproof boards up that can be cleaned more easily as everywhere is just absolutely disgusting. I feel sorry for people paying for a regular membership for here, not getting their money's worth at all.

Fantastic experience: I really enjoy going to the west kirby concourse in the heart of west kirby. It has everything you need from swimming to having a sauna or going to the gym or playing 5 a side football or badminton which you can view from the gallery above to watch games I've been going there since my young teens, there's also a bar and lounge with pool table or snooker a variety of fun sport or meeting up with friends and you can even watch the swimming upstairs in the viewing gallery and have a soft drinks, a great day out and reasonable prices.

Negative experience: I am reviewing at the time of visit. 23/04/21 which just reopened since lockdown. Gym was less available but ok. My biggest disappointment was no changing room available to use. I use gym after work, on my way home. Not able to change at gym means I need to go home first and out again in busy time of the day. Just waste of time. Also I was allowed to enter concourse building minutes before booked time so even if changing room was open, time spend at the gym would be greatly reduced. Other independent gym has much smaller changing room and shower room yet operating so there's no excuse not to sort it out before reopen.

Positive experience: Staff are very friendly and helpful, and the swimming facilities are mostly clean. Decor and the like is quite out dates though, could do with a lick of paint.

Fantastic experience: The gym is now open with new aircon and the most strict following of the 2m distancing for a gym I've seen so far. It's very impressive and a lot of care and attention put into it. The staff are also extremely friendly and useful.
