Negative experience: Having Been in twice to discuss availability for work and both times told they would contact me with information. Both times still not had a reply. Surely it doesn’t take much to reply to my number of messages and twice physically visiting the premises.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic Gym. Convenient has everything you need. Never struggle getting machines or apparatus good selection of weights. Plenty of toilet/accessibility amenities and the PTs are good. Would definitely recommend. 24 hour opening time with a fob is a godsend too Special mention to the guy working on cafe too. So friendly and welcoming. As are all the other staff

Positive experience: It's alright not the best equipment I've used and far from the cheapest gym in the area but it gets the job done. 24 hours is nice and a decent amount of equipment

Fantastic experience: One of the most incredible gyms I’ve ever been to. Considering it’s a 24 hour gym the place is spotless and huge. There’s so much room for activities! WhatsApp groups for the gym teams, dedicated selfie spots and every machine you could want. Great atmosphere too- no wonder there’s a waiting list for memberships.

Positive experience: Always friendly. Never too busy. Good selection of things. My only suggestion is that they really need some air con units up near the cardio equipment. On warm days it’s hard to breathe up there, and the fans don’t provide enough cool air. Either that or some machines with built in fans.

Fantastic experience: I've been to a few different gyms over the years and I can honestly say this is the best gym on the Wirral... the equipment is always clean, staff are helpful and friendly and the atmosphere is always welcoming, the music is also good ..... has everything you need and is also 24/7... Excellent Gym!

Fantastic experience: Best gym on the Wirral. I have been a member for around 4yrs. Chris and Thea are always looking to improve. They are regularly upgrading machines, a wide variety of classes catering for various gym/activity interests. All the staff are friendly, approachable and helpful. It has a real community feel, and I would highly recommend to anyone interested in getting fit and healthy.

Fantastic experience: Thea, Chris and the team at empowered strive to give their members a gym that’s inclusive for all gym goers. It’s friendly and there’s a space for every without judgement. The equipment is well maintained and areas are kept clean. Well done to the staff and trainers.

Fantastic experience: If you want a gym that's 24 /7 with no nonsense and has lots of machines, then this is your gym . The staff are very pleasant and helpful. I was doing an exercise wrong and the guy came and corrected and explained the machine . Personally I feel comfortable and relax to do my workout that best suites my issues. Thank you for helping me transform my body and mind .

Fantastic experience: Having lived in London 20 yrs and been a member of many gyms, moving back to Wirral, Empoweredfit is probably the best one. large, not busy in daytimes, pts never pester for your business like they do at Virgin or others, and it's cheap. More than enough equipment for me, even while I am slightly injured i can avoid some of the functional stuff I really want to use, and work around my injury elsewhere in the gym and still get a varied and a good workout.

Fantastic experience: As very personal view - best gym on the Wirral. Plenty of space, loads of equipment, but nothing is staggered like in Dedicated Gym. Big enough to never have to wait for machine or spot to become available, also helping that they are limiting amount of people joining, unlike puregym, which is always rammed and got barely anything available. 24 hours access helps spread people coming in. Love it

Fantastic experience: If you're looking for a well equipped gym with good quality equipment and plenty of space, a focus on functional fitness (CrossFit but not branded) and strength training, then Empowered Fit is going to be right up your street. The day passes are a little pricy, but the monthly membership very reasonable. If I still lived around here permanently, it's probably where I'd join. As is, I will definitely be back in future for visits to the Wirral.

Fantastic experience: The best gym I've ever been a member of. Huge independent gym in a revamped industrial unit, kitted out with the best weights machines, free weights and barbells. Good range of cardio machines as well. Classes are excellent and the instructors are amazing. They seem to know what people want from a gym whereas the big gym chains are a bit slow to figure this out.

Negative experience: It is so close to being a really good gym, however, despite the extension there is simply not enough room for the huge influx of new members. You are faced with a constant battle to use equipment and to be able to stick to a plan is impossible due to the how busy it is. There is no time outside of daytime working hours or very late night after 10pm that the gym is quiet, making it unfeasible for those with normal jobs to attend. There is a constant stream of members using the gym. Trip hazards are also littered around the gym as new members do not seem to think they have to put equipment back. The equipment is in such close proximity of each other that it makes it difficult to use or change weights if others are using equipment alongside you. I have been a member since it opened at arrowe park and it is a shame that despite the brilliant extension it has yet again become constantly too busy and as a result virtually unusable.

Fantastic experience: What a belter gym. Lots of space and equipment and has a decent cafe too. Lots of classes too for all levels and 24/7. All for £35 and it's a bargain.

Negative experience: This place is huge and has some great equipment. But, after the first lockdown, the price for an individual workout doubled and it was packed with people with next to no Covid measures in place. After being spoken to in a rude fashion by a member of staff when I was hanging around at the front desk for 10 mins just to trying to get in, I decided I wouldn’t return. Shame really, I used to enjoy it there.

Negative experience: Disappointing. Can never train because the classes clearly take priority even though I'm paying the same for my membership as everyone else. Most of the time I can never actually use the equipment. Havent there been talks of expanding? When will that actually happen? Even the PT's you charge for training clients have been overheard, one girl saying 'can't do anything in this gym'. They programme for their clients but probably cant do what the have planned sometimes. What a shame, it is a fantastic gym but why should people pay for a membership and not be able to train and use what they want to use whenever they go in rather than constantly walk in to the room taken off by a mass of people taking a class, surely they dont need every single thing on the astro? Priorities need to be looked at and the expansion is needed asap.

Positive experience: Nice gym, lots of classes and open 24/7 sometimes gets busy and can be hard to get use of equipment especially when they are running popular classes. Also the staff can be a bit too efficient at cleaning up and you'll find your equipment tidied up halfway through a set!

Negative experience: Went for an open day/fun day. Wasn't very impressed paying to get in and then basically walking around a gym with virtually everything else needed to be paid for. No free stuff.
