Fantastic experience: One of the best locations for swimming lessons. Pools are a good size, and well monitored. Swim teachers support and progress the children well.

Negative experience: Male pool changing rooms were absolutely filthy. Used nappies on the benches, muddy and absolutely soaking floor. Was like this when we arrived for the session (waiting for the pool to open so they hadn't been cleaned between sessions) and just as bad when we left 2 hours later.

Positive experience: Poor service at the reception. Never seem to see the same staff. Very poor communication regarding on going lessons. Further update, still very limited communication regarding lessons taking place but the progress made during lessons seems to be very good.

Fantastic experience: This morning after over a year of absense,due to a fractured knee I ventured out nervously and solo for a swim, the lad on reception and the female life guard made me feel very comfortable and welcome, and were very helpful .I'd like to say thankyou very much

Positive experience: Update: Minor changes being made. Nice touches but still in need of updating. A few new bits of gym equipment are there, it's been moved around a little but works well, it's relatively cheap, and the staff are brilliant. Really helpful with expert knowledge, the staff have helped me build training programs to suit my needs, even with specific requirements. I generally use the gym and the pool, but also have spin classes amongst loads of other activities. Hopefully the council signoff on the facelift soon. Any news since the feasibility study which was decided on the 14th April 2021?

Fantastic experience: was referred hear by my physio, I attended every Wednesday, gentle exercise I'm getting great benefit from it thanks to Rhys, who takes the classes.

Negative experience: Busy busy busy

Fantastic experience: Played in an oldies footie tournament here, good little set up, still Covid aware so thanks for that, changing rooms good n clean, staff great and pitches and pitch staff were just how we needed them to be. Overall a good time so thanks all!!

Fantastic experience: Great friendly staff

Negative experience: A woefully inadequate, under resourced and shamefully lacking leisure centre, based in a tatty, untidy and crumbling building... typical of the spendthrift mentality of Monmouthshire County Council. Go visit the LC in Swansea to see how things should be done. The top brass at MCC should hang their heads in shame... Council Tax should represent more than just fat pay packets for the management... the Chief Executive patiently requires immediate firing!

Positive experience: A lovely pool and friendly staff. However I asked at what we needed to know Covid wise and wasn’t told that you have to be out of the changing room ASAP so it can be cleaned between sessions. I need to know that as I would have dressed my little one differently. Also the showers were far too hot for her which meant I had to try and use my costume as a sponge and send her to nursery with tangled unwashed hair. TBH I even found it too hot let alone a child with their sensitive skin. Please turn the temperature down!

Negative experience: Advised to go into the gym to signs some forms to use the full price gym membership. Advised I had to sign a joining fee (again) and that I wasn't able to use the gym same day. I was also advise before hand by a member of staff that I wouldn't have to do an induction (been to the gym before) but when I got there I did. Lady at desk may as well of been a arrow head without the tip. Pointless. Will not be wasting my money here.

Fantastic experience: L shaped Pool area with a shallow end for beginners and deeper areas for more advanced swimmers. They have a gym and other fitness rooms throughout the building.

Positive experience: Points for never changing! It's just how I remember it years ago. The gym is small and not too varied but the pool is a decent size. The staff are friendly. Would recommend if this is your local leisure centre.

Fantastic experience: This is an outstanding fitness facility. The fitness instructors have far more fitness knowledge than most of the people who work in private gyms. Each class is different, as it isn't like some of the monotonous Les Mill classes, that only change after 6 months. The gym is well equipped and it has a really friendly feel to it. Everyone is welcoming, helpful, informative and friendly. You come out of the gym with a smile on your face, feeling you have accomplished something.

Positive experience: Great facilities but squash courts need a thorough revamp. Not well looked after, paint peeling off walls. Also showers in dry section constantly too hot to use and not adjustable. Have mentioned to staff many times but nothing ever gets done.

Positive experience: Facilities for all ages and capabilities

Fantastic experience: The leisure centre is very clean and the pool is ideally set up with a side part that is shallower than the rest for young children to play in and the rest of the pool is deep enough so that an adult can swim in properly. The staff are efficient and are friendly enough that they are easily approachable.
