Positive experience: A great gym that meets all my needs. Good location. Modern equipment and good availability. Classes are great but not enough in the weekend. Would recommend

Negative experience: Lack of pride for the gym by staff and management. Air Con is never on, despite the stench and musk of some members. Men's toilets are constantly disgusting, foul smelling and flooded. This pure gym is most likely cutting costs and corners, despite a large paying customer base.
Hi Jordan, thank you for taking the time to leave us this review. We have recently made slight changes to this area, looking at improving energy efficiency. This is both to control our energy usage, but also with a look to reduce our carbon footprint. By law, we have a requirement to provide a certain amount of fresh air based on occupancy levels, and our ventilation system increases and decreases at different times throughout the day and night, making sure we meet these requirements and provide good air movement around the gyms. These levels are based on size of the gym, and occupancy levels, and are regularly monitored. All member feedback is reviewed, and brought to the attention of our Facilities team, who regularly review any changes we make to our gym facilities and all feedback is taken into account when making any future changes. Positive experience: very good gym! Lots of space ... good modern equipment . Nice functional training area . Showers and locker available . Day pass available , day pass is tricky if u a traveler and dont have UK phone number and address code.

Negative experience: Been training here a while, looking for somewhere else. Most of the time people hog benches and machines, they're not training any other muscle except their thumb on the mobile device. Music is a rarity here, all you can hear are foreign students chatting away, that's probably as they get cheap rate at £30 for 3 months from whatever school they go to. Why do they get a cheap rate to ruin the regulars time at the gym?!?!? when i have to pay full price all year round!!!

Positive experience: Nice affordable gym, really crowded tho. Some PT's play the music extremely loud, seems you are in a club when you actually need some peace to concentrate and excercise. Some moderation in this respect would be great, also considering that there may be people with autistic traits that wouldn't cope with that noise. The toilets could do with some regular cleaning, but they are Ok. There are some good classes. I would personally avoid the classes given by a certain PT, bold, short, late 50's, early 60's, that seems to daydream he is some sort of captain in the army that shouts and tell people (women) off for petty things, in front of everyone else, of course, that seems to be part of the show. I, personally, go to the gym to excercise, relax and clear my mind, not to be shouted at and made feel embarrassed by some patronising misogynistic man (by the way, he plays the music way too loud that hurt your ears!) I don't know how some tolerate that and go back to his classes, but hey ho... Decent gym for a reasonable price. Update: Thank you for the prompt reply. The manager is really nice and approachable (Unlike the previous one), but him and this other PT have been working at Pure Gym The Triangle for years and years, they know each other, so I would not say anything to him. I just avoid him and wear earplugs when he is around, I won't put up with his arrogance and lack of manners. I am sure you have plenty of feedback like mine and plenty of people that dont mind the "macho like" attitude and go to his classes.

Positive experience: Very good equipment and actual gym, but I had the most uncomfortable first experience just now. When doing kick backs on the cable machine, there are very big non-tuned windows right on the footpath. Several groups of men walked back and forth, staring , point and some just stopped to watch. I want my money back. Creepy men are not the gym’s fault, but not tinting the windows is. I nearly started crying from the uncomfortable experience. I even starting blatantly recording the men so that they might go away but it did not work. So upsetting

Positive experience: Great gym overall but a few tweaks and it could turn out to be perfect. Music needs to be better, place needs to be cleaned better, equipment needs to in place in where it should be, I get that’s on the customers too but be tougher on the customers when noticed in not outing equipment back correctly ! Positive experience: Been a member for a few years now and I am very happy with this gym in general. Is clean, lots of equipments available and all very nice spaced out. They also have classes available in case you are interested and want to join. 24h access is a bliss, showers available at all times. Good value for money. Cons: no parking spaces available

Negative experience: ***EDIT**** @puregym your response sums it’s up really… you’re suggesting for me to leave this feedback with the management team… I have done this with you directly. Take some ownership and feed that through yourself!! Really poor… 5 star when it first opened, once great value for money. Sadly the owners have let this gym age terribly with a few changes over the years. Equipment soo outdated, not enough of certain equipment, one pull down rope for the whole gym? Machines are so old, and not necessarily the best variation. Most of the staff are friendly and some not… Needs a huge update very unlikely I will continue using it.

Fantastic experience: Been a member since December 2023 and I absolutely love this place, the flexibility that I get due to it being 24/7, every equipment has a double station which comes in handy when the crowd pulls in and the clean washrooms is everything that anyone can ask for…

Negative experience: More than happy to take your money. Can’t provide you with what you’ve paid for though. I pay extra for the hydration station which never works and often have to do long workouts without water because the machine doesn’t work which is quite dangerous. Never anyone around to help you either.

Positive experience: I go to this gym because it is the closest me. During the week, it is very busy in the evenings so I prefer to go only weekends Unfortunately, the changing rooms and toilets are usually dirty and I also hate using the water tap after the toilet because the water pressure is very strong that you get all wet without washing hands

Negative experience: Visiting the area and this gym is without a doubt the worst I have been too. There is one deadlift platform for a gym of this size thats not sufficient, no glute drive machine. I found most members didn’t re-rack weights and had no idea about gym etiquette. To make things worse when the spin class started the entire gym was filled with a man shouting over a loud tinny Microphone. Very disappointed.

Positive experience: Great machines and warm up area but classes are very disruptive

Positive experience: Quite busy around peak time 5pm. Good choice of equipment. Can be a bit airless, I wonder if the air condition has been cleaned regularly. Place could benefit from some vacuuming.

Positive experience: Its a great gym, mostly does what it says on the tin. Its exceptional value for money. It has enough equipment and space it can be busy but that is probably down to cost as much as anything else. But I do arrive early before 6am and I do spend time putting away equipment when I use and area. I don't like too much mess to be fair and it takes a short period of time but Id rather not tidy away others equipment. I understand that's not the gyms fault, it is annoying and there is so much of it often lying around.

Negative experience: The gym is well equipped. Only hindrance I faced is not seeing the instructor when coming in for booked sessions. Would have liked to see him/her in the front office maybe with a diary, waiting for participants and showing me a newcomer the session area. Just ended up finding my own way and worked out

Fantastic experience: A few pt who do classes are awesome. Tall blond girl Ella , super fit , super flexible girl she really doesn't waste time on her clases. Explain very well and use the time great , and big muscular guy Gary. His classes are extremely overbooked, probably all the girls coming only for him but he explains very well and really know how to train and has knowledge and motivation skills , rest is ok . Nice gym but extremely busy in a day

Negative experience: This gym has always been a bit of a joke (overflowing sanitary bins left for days, hand sanitiser and sanitiser spray consistently empty, clips and equipment broken/missing) but I've always rationalised it as you get what you pay for. But when you injure yourself and are bleeding, you expect at least a plaster, right? Nope! I asked someone on the floor for one, they said they'd get one, 20 minutes and 6 sets later (using tissue to not bleed on the machines) still nothing. I understand the trainer on the floor was super busy, but I even knocked on the office door two separate times, knowing someone was in there, and received no answer. It was a small cut but deep and clean so wouldn't stop bleeding. Ended up getting blood on my clothes and belongings when it was time to pack up Cheers! Do better next time!

Negative experience: Really want a gym where I pay as I visit, not pay every month with no contract because that's a lie, and its extremely hard to cancel their payments in your account when you decide to leave ..

Negative experience: in the hall is simply unbearable to work. dude who does group bike training, you hesitated! everyone came to practice, concentrate and listen to music on headphones. he turns on the music separately from the hall on the column and yells into the microphone, my ears still hurt!!!! Is there really no one in the hall besides him and his trimer! I spoke to other people and everyone is very unhappy! Positive experience: Just using this whilst on holiday, gym has all the equipment but the lockers are an absolute state with most broken. I don't think they are paying for the Aircon either as it's like a sauna.

Positive experience: Average gym, but I guess you get what you pay for. There are some really busy times and although it is a big gym, it's often difficult to plan a routine when most machines and weights are taken. The Aircon doesn't seem to work so it often feels hot and sweaty and has regularly things break i.e Equipment/juice dispenser/lacking hand sanitizer It has real potential but feels a little neglected at times

Negative experience: The App is terrible. Due to my busy schedule I've had to pull out of a few classes and now I've been suspended. Absolutely stupid! I said that I wouldn't be able to attend-I cancelled my classes in good time and still this happens. I wouldn't recommend

Fantastic experience: I am updating my review because in the past few months the management of the gym has made significant changes. There are more daytime clases and they are not cancelled anymore which makes the gym very reliable. I have noticed an special care for updating parts of furniture and hidden corners that needed some update. We also have some interesting membership discounts in local business and restaurants which contributes to a nice community feeling. There is a proactive approach to have feedback and actually implement changes. All in all, very well deserved five stars (Past review) The instructors are very good and the space is nice, but they keep canceling classes without replacement which makes it very unreliable if you want to have a routine. They cancel specially the classes in the middle of the day, this forces people to go in the evening for the best classes and as a result the machines and other spaces end up being unnecessarily full. In the past month a cycle slot has been canceled 3 weeks (bc team meeting, holidays and unknown reasons). This is regretful because they might be losing business in one segment of the population (e.g. people exercising during lunchtime)
Timetables are determined by staff availability & member demand. We regularly review our timetables and will implement nationwide changes every quarter. If you have any queries on the classes at your gym, or any suggestions, the Gym Manager regularly reviews all comment cards in the suggestion box in the gym!
Negative experience: Large gym in the centre of Bournemouth. There is a wide range of equipment with a separate free weights & mat areas. Gym seems to need some TLC with some equipment out of order, toilets (men’s) are dirty with leaking urinals & taps that are left running due to faulty stop valves. Many of lockers do not work.

Negative experience: I am a regular gym goer and whilst in Bournemouth still wanted to use a gym. I bought a one day pass at Puregym at the Triangle. I was sent a number to use to get in. On arrival I entered the pass number but it wouldn't work. I tried several times and if failed to work. I tried typing in the number to get a member of staff to help but no one came. I could see staff inside but they obviously weren't bothered. An awful customer experience and a complete rip off as I couldn't use the facility. Pathetic.

Positive experience: The first gym I've joined so I can't really compare to others, but it is convenient in the town centre and has enough equipment to keep me busy. Not much phone signal so I end up relying on the wifi, but their Wifi is no longer available so no internet while working out.

Negative experience: My wife tried to upgrade her memberships to peak hours, but the system makes you go round in circles and is NOT as simple as they claim. Being an un-staffed did not help either as their was no one at the gym to talk to. You would be better off signing up to a differnt gym tbh.

Negative experience: Pretty awful. No water in the fountain: another member was kind enough to get me some out the vending machine. Only one low level bike in the place, a member was good enough to swap with me. I was asking another member if he was using a machine as he seemed to be spread across 2 and he became very ill mannered and impolite. The gym doesn't contain the machines I use for back issues in my local gym The water in the shower was exceptionally hot which I don't mind for the body but far too hot for the hair.

Negative experience: This is the most annoying puregym ever when things like spin classes are on, because that area is open with the walls not touching the ceiling and really really loud.... every other puregym I've been, when a class is on you know about it, but the commotion is still mostly contained to that area instead of bursting into the whole gym especially the free weights area...

Positive experience: Decent equipment, very good staff, could do with improving (turning on?) A/C & ventilation. Aerobic area becomes a no go zone for me when adjacent spin class area in use - so loud I can't block out music even with headphones.
