Fantastic experience: Great gym well equipped friendly staff

Negative experience: Wouldn't recommend anytime. The gym cleanliness is poor. The facilities and equipment haven't changed and basic maintenance isn't happening. Even leaving equipment in the walk way's. Fire hazard. The membership ties you in even after you have done the 12 month's. Try cancelling the membership. Pay for the month and they lock you're fob out. Matt Cooke thinks he can bully members though email.

Fantastic experience: Staff are unreal, top people who have plenty of time of day for anyone. Gym is clean and well looked after. Had good experiences with PT’s that work there and all members are friendly. Their Social media is quality. Very entertaining. Been to a few gyms in exeter and Devon and this is by far the best!

Negative experience: No parking, and ive tried to end my membership many times, they will send a debt collecter if you stop paying after many emails asking for help to end my membership before i stop paying

Fantastic experience: Wonderful staff so friendly and very helpful. They offer great advice on whatever you want to achieve and very supportive. I would recommend them to anyone. I feel so comfortable there, compared to other gyms and wouldn't go to another one.

Negative experience: I rung in months ago to cancel the membership but now they've sent debt collectors after me! Initially they said the outstanding bill was £131 even though I cancelled months before then but now the debt collectors, they sent after me, are saying I owe £385!!! This gym is an absolute con! The equipment is rubbish and they seem to have problems taking instructions and communicating!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! FULL OF CON ARTISTS!!!

Negative experience: Cancellation process is an absolute ball ache. Not clear whatsoever. ended up being charged £38.95 as it was not explained to me by "the manager" that i had to give a months notice after paying a late payment fee. It was so unclear about how to cancel it online. If you're moving around and looking for a flexible contract, i wouldn't even think about using this gym!

Fantastic experience: Great gym for me. Often quiet and not at all intimidating. Staff accessible and a good range of machines and weights. Not tried the classes yet me

Positive experience: Had all the equipment you'd need. However all of which is pretty dated and dirty. In particular the dumbell rack was filthy, looked as though it hadn't been cleaned for a while. Which is worrying considering the situation the world is in at the moment. No interaction with staff and didn't see them on the gym floor once to tidy or to interact with members.

Fantastic experience: Great little gym with everything you need and more with a 24hr opening time! Staff are very friendly and welcoming with a huge range of knowledge and support if you need it. It’s never over crowded so you get to use most bits of equipment without a wait time. it’s central so really convenient for town and workouts during the working day

Negative experience: Prices are high for such a small gym limited equipment. I requested to cancel 2 months ago they then today have charged me pluss 15 pound late fee which there email stated was there fault and apologised not good enough !!

Fantastic experience: A year ago I would have NEVER stepped foot in a gym, but after meeting my girlfriend who introduced me to gig rowing, I had to get fit! So this meant having to start doing the dreaded 'E' word... Exercise! Along with my new passion for rowing, going with her gave me the confidence to start visiting the gym. I had been to the St Luke's gym on the uni campus but that didn't get me, but after organising a trial session with Anytime Fitness at the Exeter University freshers fair, I thought I'd try it out. The session was great. We got to spend some time in the gym itself and meet Lucy, the manager who was great and certainly made me feel at ease about visiting the gym. On that night we were sold and therefore signed up there and then. The gym is usually pretty quiet with enough room to do everything you want without feeling cramped or like you are in someone's way. The facilities are great with loads of room to change and great showers for after your workout. The location is ideal being in Southernhay so easily accessible from anywhere with road parking being free after 6PM. With your membership you get access to the gyms range of apps. I haven't been able to properly look at these yet, but they seem simple to navigate and provide you with yours stats and a selection of workout sets. I want to make a special mention to the staff there as they do a fantastic job at making you feel welcomed, keeping the place tidy and keeping the members wall up to date with information, competitions and fantastic illustrations (courtesy of Abi I believe). So, if anyone is keen to join a gym that doesn't feel intimidating with a great bunch of friendly staff and a good selection of quality equipment, then Anytime Fitness is a good one to go for. Highly recommend! S

Negative experience: Worst gym Ive ever been part off mainly because staff would go as far as lie to you and ignore your emails consistently just for your membership not to get canceled 100% would not recomend there are much better places to go to that are cheaper and actually have decent facilities unlike Anytime Fitness

Positive experience: It's a OK gym. Quite small and if there is more than 10 people weight training you find yourself waiting for the equipment you need.

Fantastic experience: Well equipped gym with everything you need. Clean tidy and installed with all modern equipment. Staff couldn't be friendlier, especially Vic Holland, super friendly and knows her stuff, well recommended if you need personal training.

Positive experience: Nice gym, in regards to equipment and the modernness of the gym you can't beat it! Staff are really welcoming and friendly. Nice atmosphere, it's by far one of the best gyms in the south west. Also very reasonably priced membership too! However, a couple things I'd point out is that it's hard to get to if you've got a car. As there's hardly any 'easy' parking close by, you either have to pay for parking in southernhay which is often very limited or simply leave you car at home/work and walk. Furthermore, most people also like the idea of having a swimming pool at a gym but this obviously isn't really important; this gym doesn't really need it as it has everything but this. On the whole, apart from the parking issue, this gym is the best. I've heard there's potentially another anytime fitness planned to be built in the pinhoe area of Exeter, and this time with parking! If this is the case, that would be ideal.

Negative experience: Absolute horrible gym. Tried nearly every so called anytime fitness and just the atmosphere was poor the staff were rude especially the taunton gym. If your reading this anytime fitness I think your gyms are diabolical. Your basically the UK version of planet fitness from the US

Fantastic experience: 25 Hours, ample variety of machines. No long waiting times

Negative experience: During membership registration process they lied to me that I'll be refunded the £40 token price when I decide to cancel the membership, but when it came to cancelation turns out the £40 is actually a non-refundable joining fee.

Fantastic experience: With its 24/7 365 opening hours policy, anytime fitness provides a great service whenever you want to train!
