Fantastic experience: The location is good, the gym and equipment is decent, the manager is sound, everything is in order. The only improvement I can think of is maybe a machine fly or peck deck instead of the tricep machine upstairs, other than that it's spot on

Fantastic experience: Amazing place to workout. Thomas and Max maintain the gym incredibly well. They are always happy to help. Not over crowded. Great classes. And they do the class even for just one person. It is amazing how they respect their customers time. Since its in the shopping centre, you can work out and do your shopping on the way home. Very convenient. I am really happy I joined.

Positive experience: Usually not very busy in the evenings. Unfortunately, a bit lacking in variety when it comes to the equipment. The gym itself is generally clean, with most people actively making an effort to wipe down the equipment.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to this gym since it came and never had any problems at all. When there was a defect with any equipment the staff are told about are fixed as quickly as possible. Cannot fault it at all! Always space to do what you need and all the staff and members are friendly and social. You also have a vast array of classes but is limited on what can be done due to the size. I cannot recommend this gym enough

Fantastic experience: My partner and I have been going to this gym for a few months now and we love it! It's nice seeing familiar faces whenever we go in, and the staff are also friendly and always say hello. In particular, the manager (Thomas), always makes us feel welcome and makes time to answer any questions we have about the gym equipment or general fitness and nutrition. Would highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: After having been disappointed by a big, busy local gym before, I moved on to Snap around 5/6 months ago. I must say, I love the intimacy of being in my own little space and thoughts when I train and Snap offers me just that. No overcrowding, no waiting for "your turn" etc. Just me and whatever equipment I chose for the day. And, as the gym is open 24/7, it really is like having ones own private gym cos you can just pitch up at 2am and train, if you wanted! Tom, Max and Ian have been amazing from the first moment I stepped into the venue. They have been supportive of my personal goals, they take an interest in my performance gains, cheer me on and are happy for me when I hit a PB and readily help me out when I need a "spotter" or need some technical advice. I see more and more regular faces whenever I go in and it is awesome to see everyone's progress and to have a quick chin-wag between sets. If you are looking for a space for some quality "me-time" and are ready to just WORK, this is the place for you. All you need to get fit is right there. The venue could be bigger, sure, and yes, there's always gonna be a machine or piece of equipment that could be added, but it is not preventing me from performing my workouts and getting some serious sweat on!

Negative experience: They threatened to call debt collectors on me for an outstanding balance... They are trying to charge me for a month I haven't used. Despite me giving reasonable warning of canceling my membership. This is not a "rolling contract easy-cancel membership" as advertised. Be careful with these lot! (Plus the gym is so cramped it feels crowded when there's only 3 people in there...)

Negative experience: Nice venue, good equipment but terrible culture. Hygiene severely lacking. I caught two consecutive colds in 6 weeks. All developed within 24 hours of my last session there. Some customers wearing outdoor shoes and attending the gym with cold and flu symptoms. Customers hogging machines whilst on their phones. Making calls, face timing etc etc… Shame really as this spoils what could be a nice fitness club.

Negative experience: Do not sign anything with them, puregym will not try to rob you even after you stop using their services

Negative experience: New manager is strange, not kept the community spirit the old manager did. Trying to turn it into a powerlifting gym which is just not possible with the lack of equipment and lack of knowledge in trainers, really disappointment how down hill it’s gone since the old manager left.

Fantastic experience: I joined this gym about a month ago after being really nervous about getting back into it. I was blown away by how friendly and genuinely interested the man (Mark?) Was. I was made to feel instantly comfortable. I then recieved a phone call a week ago just to check up on how I was getting on... whether I wanted to book in my induction session (I was offered this when joining but I was too nervous), and asked how I was finding it. I have since referred 2 other people who are also really enjoying it..thankyou snap team x

Positive experience: Pop's in a couple days ago had a walk around was a little bit small the staff member was very friendly but was very focused on bodybuilding and weightlifting something my gf already said she was not interested in as we just wanted to get more healthy and lose some fat. changing room is right opposite the toilets horrible smell around there toilets didn't seem that clean so we've decided to go and join a different gym.. plus you have to pay for parking add that on top of the fee of the gym it's not really worth it

Positive experience: I have to review this gym again. It used to be the number one gym within the area, however since I am not sure what happened, new staff? New management? No cleaning staff I don’t know- I must to say -the state of the gym is just horrendous! I joined the gym since 2019 and as much as I got used to this gym and never had issues with it I am looking to change this place. Gym don’t have changing rooms which is absolutely fine , you advice to get changed in the shower rooms - look at the floors in those rooms!where you can get changed when there are puddles of water? Toilets cleanliness is another level as well. Lights in disabled toilets are barely working…dumbell rack seems like haven’t been cleaned since last year…paper towels now not exists, but few fiber towels left next to the cleaning stations! How to clean the equipment with everyone touching the same fiber towels? how that’s preventing germs for every gym member use the same towels to clean their sweat off the equipment? Prices going up however gym saving money on things which meant to be for customers ( cleaning staff, cleaning equipments). It used to be cleaning lady there every other morning , it used to be spotless clean. People training with dirty safety shoes and work clothes even thought snap rules on the wall clearly says otherwise which no-one follows anymore! Dear snap fitness Didcot Sort yourself out please !

Positive experience: Recently joined good gym, really needs a calf press though,I appreciate it's not a bodybuilding gym but all the best gyms have atleast one calf machine

Negative experience: not been the same since ciaran has left, prices have gone up but no new equipment, no spin either which the club will benefit from, and to top it off, the new manager isn't even a member of staff that was already here! community has gone, its now just a gym, equipment needs updating, I feel sorry for the new manager having to come in and live up to what the old team had built. so sad to see, off to pure gym I go unfortunately

Negative experience: The gym its self is amazing but the customer service is atrocious you can't call the gym most days they just simply don't pick up. The only way to cancel a membership is to go in or call them there isn't any other alternative to it. The price is meh you pay £39.99 for the non contract option.

Fantastic experience: Best gym around. There is a wide array of equipment and machines available to be used, its well maintained and clean. The bathrooms and showers are extremely clean, the lighting is very good and makes getting good gym pics a breeze. The staff are very chilled and friendly. It's cheaper than other gyms in the area and after going to both, I'd say Snap has the better facilities compared to price. The other gym users are friendly and don't judge or anything.

Fantastic experience: I would recommend a trial at Snap Fitness ! I started training there in December and am on my second program "Stronger" ️‍♀️ I'm really enjoying my sessions as well as the Zumba class on Monday night's. Great equipment, gym is clean and tidy, great selection of classes, and I have met some friendly people as well as the friendly Snap Fitness trainers who are always there to offer support and guidance on the equipment and training styles to aid your development.

Fantastic experience: For someone who has always felt uncomfortable using the gym I was really surprised to see how welcoming the gym was. Staff always say hello and goodbye and often chat with gym goers. The other gym members are friendly and the gym socials have been a brilliant way to meet others. All of this combines to an excellent gym experience. Combine that with a great variety of equipment which is kept clean and tidy you can't go wrong.

I have never been more comfortable and excited about going to and using a gym before! All the staff members are extremely welcoming, supportive and approachable which definitely adds to the gym experience! I love getting involved with the classes and social events. Negative experience: Led up the garden path by the team at Snap Fitness. It's all sunshine and roses when they're cold calling to get you signed up, with guarantees of super easy cancellation in the first two weeks if its not for you. After an underwhelming induction and realising the equipment up the road at the cheaper (and much larger) Puregym is actually better, I emailed to cancel as advised by the website. The manager Ciaran took more than two weeks to confirm the membership had been cancelled, after multiple phone calls and an in person visit to chase this. Despite confirming in person and by phone that its all gone through and I'd get a full refund being in the 'cooling off' period, I was not refunded and instead charged for another month when this came around. Just a blunt email from Ciaran when I flagged this, and still no refund for the original payments. Now no answer to the phone when following up on this - can only assume they're making life difficult in the hope I just give up on getting the original payments back. I'm sure the gym is great when you're keen to be a part of it - but I would not trust the staff here as far as I could throw them, so would not recommend it to anyone after my experience. There's plenty of gyms in Didcot, any one of them would be more deserving of your money and time.

Negative experience: Im from Ukraine, i moved to UK becouse of war, and i try to go to this gym to get positive emotions, but i got deception from administrator in this gym. They say they dont have avtomatic payments, dont have contract and they lied only for reason me to buy a subskription. And now they try to take money from my card every day from different accounts and send threatening letter about i need to pay for subscription, although i said i wont to close this subscription becouse i cant go to this gym anymore.

Negative experience: Snap fitness didcot is a joke I wouldn’t recommend them at all , the manager CIARAN VINTEN is a liar and has the worst customer service ever. We opened a contract at didcot about a week ago and opted in for a month to month when the contracts came through it was 6 months and 12 months when I called to get it rectified they promised to get back to me and never did even until today . We paid upfront and a fee to use the gym for the remainder of the month and we have not been able to use it at all. This is falsification of documents and theft as what was discussed and what has been put into the contract is completely different. I will be taking this further as taking our money and not allowing us to use the facility is theft in my eyes. I definitely would not recommend this gym to anyone

Negative experience: avoid this club, do not give your bank details, they steal money from the card, I stopped the membership in the club, but they still took the money for 5 months, although I called them, they promised to figure it out, but continued to withdraw. I gave them a scandal, I came personally to the club, although they did not return the money, I asked to delete my bank data, they said that they deleted it, but ... after a couple of days they again removed 43 pounds. I came to them again, they said that I would get the money back in 4-5 days , but a month has passed, and today I was they said write to the main office. The conclusion is not a club, but a bunch of swindlers.

Fantastic experience: Lots of space, very clean, with very helpful and kind staff. Members are respectful, and they respect all the rules in place. A very good environment to go in and better yourself.

Negative experience: AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Been charged an extra £60 when told it was only £39.99. Money has been taken from my account without my consent and have been basically told I am lying about filling in a cancellation form. Staff are rude and are more focused on looking in the mirror, do not use this gym unless you want to be robbed! Staff have lost my paperwork and now I am paying for their mistake. Unorgonised, unhelpful, rude and will take money from your account without telling you. Terrible experience, shut the place down.

Negative experience: Terrible experience. Ciaran flat out lies, said he wouldn’t charge my card during our phone conversation and next moment my card is charged. When I brought this up to him to get a refund (as I was falsely charged) he said “As mentioned before, we are not required to give you a refund.” Don’t lie and go behind peoples backs, not cool.

Negative experience: Hi, Please be aware. I have canceled my membership in December 2020. After 5 months my payment still are taken, I did write to them to explain that and I was told there is 30 days cancellation policy and because Gyms reopened in April my last payment was taken in April, fair enough. However now is May and my payment are still going. I write to Snap fitness 5 days ago but no reply. BE AWARE!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been to a lot of different gyms over the years and never stuck it out. But I have at Snap in Didcot! The staff and PTs are friendly and encourage you to push yourself. It’s a really lovely environment to be in and I’ve not once felt self conscious. The members are also a delight. 10/10 would, and do, recommend.

Negative experience: This has left a very sour taste in the mouth. I was a member for just over a year and used the gym regularly. I can't complain about the equipment as it was mostly available and clean when I wanted to use it. The issues began when the global pandemic started. The gym shut down sometime in March / April 2020 and due to strained finances I decided that I wouldn't be continuing my membership. I accordingly went onto the Snap website to check their T&C for cancellation. They state that you need to complete a form at your local club to cancel. Due to the gym being closed I hand delivered and emailed a signed letter, providing my membership number, name and address, and stating that this was my notice for cancellation. The T&C say that you need to pay for the month you give notice and the next full month. I was happy to do that. However, in August 2020 when the club opened I received threatening emails from their credit team asking for my membership fee. I emailed them the letter giving notice but they effectively told me it was not valid because I didn't fill out the form at the club (even though that was impossible due to it being closed). Snap didn't update their T&C on the website to take the pandemic into account but still expect people to perform the impossible. I have been forced to pay the membership and a late payment fee! I was especially concerned by the aggressive and completely unprofessional demeanor of Ciaran. He seems more interested in his bottom line and having the last word rather than doing what is right. Consequently I will not be rejoining the club again (as i was planning to do once the pandemic resolves) and I have also informed my 5 family members who have memberships with the club to cancel and join a more family friendly and accepting club.

Fantastic experience: Snap Fitness Didcot is a friendly, modern gym. It's open 24 hours which is ideal for me as a shift worker and they have been great at taking the C-19 pandemic seriously, with hand sanitiser, cleaner and paper towels always nearby. They also paused fees whenever access to the gym was prevented by lockdown, so I never felt out of pocket due to the pandemic. I can safely say that even before this year Snap has played a huge part in been keeping me sane and getting abs in time for my 30th birthday was the silver lining I needed. I've not taken any classes (yet) or had any PT sessions, but the trainers I see there seem knowledgeable and friendly so I'd not hesitate to book them if I needed help, or wanted to do something other than PPL forever! I can't see myself leaving unless I move away.
