Fantastic experience: Attended for a children's party. Good parking. Plenty of play space. The pool looked inviting.

Negative experience: Disappointed two weeks we tried to go for swimming adult and no spaces. And we pay every month 38£. No advantages to pay anymore. I don't recommend the membership for students.

Fantastic experience: Great service at the front desk, extremely helpful. Has convinced me to sign up for a membership.

Negative experience: I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with this gym. Despite having a legally binding, signed contract from my school for this academic year, they outright refused to accept it. This lack of professionalism is a complete waste of time, especially when all necessary documentation was provided and should have been valid. It’s frustrating to deal with an establishment that disregards legal agreements, showing a blatant disregard for their customers’ time and commitments. Not recommended if you’re looking for a gym that values professionalism and respects contractual obligations.

Fantastic experience: Amazing staff, left an item by accident in the gym toilets and the following day thinking it was 99% taken went to check just to be on the safe side and staff already had it safe and handed it immediately. Fantastic workers who know what their doing

Fantastic experience: First time visiting today & I was impressed. Free parking, friendly staff, clean & not over-crowded. One of the lifeguards offered to support & teach my daughter swimming down the lane. Very friendly & helpful. We'll be back again.

Negative experience: For a gym-goer: 1. Extremely expensive given the small size of the gym. 2. Puregym is half the price with at least 5x the weights & equipment 3. Yes it has a swimming pool, that doesn't disprove point 1 & 2 Avoid if you are not going for swimming

Positive experience: First time at aqua aerobics group since well before pandemic . I was shocked that we were kept back from pool area by a barrier until they let us in fekt like a herd of animals! Disappointed as I wanted to have a bit of a swim b4 aqua and perhaps after but not allowed!! Very controlled atmosphere like covid days. I finished the group at 10.15 and life guard said I'd have to get out and wait for 15mins till 10.30......... ridiculous I wanted to stay in the pool and not hang around in the cold. Positive experience: Nice leisure centre for the local community. However I have noticed a dip in the cleanliness of the changing rooms. Especially those for the swimming pool.

Fantastic experience: The staff were friendly. The changing facilities were clean, and the teaching pool was at a temperature that was high enough for people under 5.

Fantastic experience: First visit in 5 years and a very good experience. Sarah was very kind and patient with me down loading the app and getting it all sorted for me. I can now start working on better health .

Fantastic experience: The pools are wonderful for small children. The changing rooms are good especially the family ones. Maggie on reception is the reason we come every week, she’s so friendly and welcoming!

Negative experience: The lifeguards say that you have to do a length of swimming before you get to do the activity i.e. The, Aqua Marina, and if you do not complete the length, they Will kick you out unless you’re with someone over 16 when we booked it on the app, it said that they would have Lifejackets if they Cannot swim they did not have them at the place on the app. It said nothing about swimming length so when we got there it was a shock and I am very very very very very very very very very very disappointed

Positive experience: Gym itself is good however after about 3pm it becomes unusable. For such an expensive membership, the gym seems to be used as an after school club or something. Nothing wrong with younger kids going to the gym but the entirety of the weight section is swarmed with 10 year olds, it feels like more of a social gathering area for school kids rather than a gym.

Negative experience: 40 minute slots for a badminton court! That's a warm up. Super slippery floors.

Negative experience: The gym needs a refurb ,there's nowhere to do mat work and the running machine and crosstrainer are very dated ,I use to go to 'The gym' in redhill which was a cheaper member with a bigger gym but ive had to go to this one as I've moved and for it to fit in with school run etc,disappointed as I use to love going to the gym .

Negative experience: Not a great experience at all. Booked on to a 'swim for all' session with the family but as soon as we got in the pool, the 'fun police' were all over us asking how far our children could swim. My daughter swam a whole length on her back but apparently this isn't allowed, she had to prove she can swim on her front? Even though she did swim back on her front, for the whole rest of our session their beady eyes were on us constantly making us feel very uncomfortable and making it a very joyless experience. I think the website should re-title 'swim for ALL' as 'swim for strong swimmers ONLY'. Needless to say we won't be going back.

Negative experience: I would not recommend a membership at this gym. The gyms hours are not appropriate, nor are the pool hours for swimming. The pool is routinely booked for outside events, meaning should you wish to swim for fitness, you are forced to swim at constantly changing times throughout the week, few of which are convenient. The gym space itself is small and the equipment is sparse. There are 2 Olympic bars in the entire space, 1 bench press set up and 1 squat rack. This gym is for people who are not serious about their training and for those who do not have to work to earn a living.

Negative experience: The gym would be good but their opening hours are not as advertised. I signed up to an annual membership thinking I could go during late evenings after work but they routinely shut the main entrance at half past 9 when they advertise the gym is open until half past 10. The reception staff don't appear to know what their advertised hours are either unfortunately. They brought forward their weekend closing from 6 until 5 as well. I'll be looking elsewhere for a gym that is more flexible in its opening hours.

Positive experience: Very crowded in watching areas lots of children in the pool at once ! My granddaughter was crying and no one seemed to go and find out why .

Positive experience: I usually take my daughter there for gymnastics on Thursdays. This time though we were at a birthday party. We love going there and we enjoy it as much as we can when we go. However, in the winter the big hall is absolutely freezing cold. I don't know if they are saving on bills but having children there and the place being so cold is not OK. My daughter got a cold from there the other day and am so not happy abou it. I hope someone from the management reads this review and have a think about the warmth of the hall.

Fantastic experience: This place is a must-go for people waiting to start swimming. Well, red hat-green hat groups, are not great. Bronze + Silver hat are better. 1-2-1 wise, it is a complete LIFE-CHANGER. Firstly, the group swimming, (e.g. 10 people) isn’t too great, in the green group they are a bit squashed but, none of the less, it helps improve swimming. The swim teacher’s try to help a lot, and yes, they do improve, but 1-2-1 helps wayyy more. The way they teach swimming in the hat groups, is fun, just, I have seen that they are having fun, which is Good. This is a great place, also, when my son used to go to ‘Toddler’s World’, he had loads of fun. Staff are kind, people are kind. But, could have more washing facilities. The private changing facilities, (there are only 4,) people put their clothing items inside of the private changing facilities, even though it says not to. The staff try to discourage it, tho. Never the less, this place is amazing. I come every week.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly environment. The staff, especially Phil are always available for advice. The gym is very well equipped and easy to use. Great place for all people, at all levels of fitness.

Positive experience: Showers could be cleaner especially around the bottom of the floor, needs replacing of the sealant. But they do seem to clean more regularly now. Glad they are still doing a booking system, it was very busy in slow Lane last night.

Negative experience: I booked swimming lessons for my daughter with this leisure centre after a while she kept getting ear infections so I cancelled the lessons to realise they have still been charging me for over 2 months. When I called up the lady was extremely unhelpful and kept telling me to just cancel the direct debit as she is not going to cancel it on her side for me even if I have cancelled them months ago and I am still being charged. They make booking lessons extremely simple and are helpful when they are about to receive money but the complete opposite when trying to cancel. I will never use another better org site for any future lessons.

Positive experience: The swim classes are absolutely excellent. Those teachers really know how to instruct children. My son had a year of lessons at k2 with little progress… after very few lessons at Horley he is really getting it. Plus all the staff there have been so friendly and helpful to us.

Fantastic experience: Our usual place for badminton. Very clean, quiet and the staff is friendly.

Positive experience: We used this leisure centre as my neice is a member of the centres in the group. The facilities were new and cleaned constantly, unlike others we have been too in the area. Baby facilities were very good and the showrers in the family changing rooms is such a good idea as we have 2 under 3 year olds with us. Only drawback was that the learner/baby pool was too cold, my 11 month old neices lips were going blue! after 20mins. We were so cold we got out after 30mins and won't be visiting again.

Negative experience: Place is a joke. Couldn't teach an otter to swim here. You're paying for your child to bob around at the end of the pool doing nothing. They've been lucky that during Covid, people could rarely see how little they were actually teaching the kids.

Negative experience: Awful telephone system. On hold listening to a repeated information telling me to use the website. If the information I wanted was on the website I wouldn't be calling. After multiple attempts I am told you're "too busy" to answer calls at this time. I wanted conformation on conflicting information at Horley Leisure Centre, as it says 'learner pool is temporarily closed', but it will let me book slots. Helpful service as always.

Positive experience: Nice pool, the changing areas are a bit chilly but better than being too hot I suppose. Gents toilets smell pretty bad and always a bit grubby. More effort with cleanliness and perhaps enforcement of shoe covers for those going poolside. Lots of parents in outdoor shoes walking through changing / shower area.

Fantastic experience: I I've taken my 9 year old and 1 year old here a couple of times. Lovely warm pool for babies I first took my boy when he was 5 months and it was very warm. We got a free family swim to try it out and it's now my new favourite pool although I live walking distance to k2 Crawley. Perfect if you have a older child and a toddler as both pools are close enough together for you to keep an eye on older child.

Negative experience: Sadly, really filthy female changing rooms tonight. Are they inspected? Toilets dirty and very smelly, noticeable in the corridor near the pool. Not good enough!

Fantastic experience: I use Horley swimming pool as it is so light inside due to having glass sided wallls, and when we have sun early in the morning it shines into the pool delightfully. The showers are hot and plentiful in the large communal changing room, and there are family changing cubicles which are large and have their own showers. There are occasionally repairs that need to be done, but they are usually sorted out at some time. The free hairdryers are brilliant; I have been to more "upmarket" pools where they charge for using their dryers. The staff are always helpful and friendly, and my only quibble would be that they need to be more proactive when some swimmers don't have good manners in the swimming lanes.
