Positive experience: I mean it’s a cheap gym and good for on the go or if your travelling allot. However not for me facilities where ok however it did always fill a bit unclean as there isn’t normally any staff around All round ok for the price it’s better spending the extra 10 pounds a month and going to a small business gym as I just find them all round better experience Needs more equipment as well

Fantastic experience: Great gym & lovely staff, especially Ella! She's always so friendly and ready to help. I've attended a few of her classes since joining last year and she's great at explaining each exercise and helping people adapt it to their ability level.

Negative experience: Terrible gym, I don’t recommend anyone joining, i am a member at the puregym in black water maldon CM9 and i am not happy with the service, i'm a paying member, have been for a while now, i've lost my pin the app is always logging me out, the pin also always keeps changing that's why i didn't save it down, this time the showers are always cold, the equipment is always in a state, and the gym never gets new equipment, some of the treadmills ain't never working half the time plus the monthly pay keeps going up, the staff are never around, even when i'm there early, I’ve been trying to get through by emails, just so I can get my pin so I can get back in to the app, and here I am over 24 hours later with yet still not one single response, there is literally no staff to contact, what so ever for help, when you struggling to sign back in, and so yeah I don’t advise anybody joining any pure gyms to be honest cos they are all a joke….

Positive experience: Whilst away from home Pure Gym was ideal for the three days I was there. Easy to join on line and everything I needed was available. Clean and equipment mostly well maintained. Three treadmills were out of action.

Positive experience: Busy. Induction was quick & very basic. Parking can be a bit of a challenge at busy times. Gym was clean, modern & air conditioned.

Negative experience: Just moved to the area, went to look around the gym helpful staff member showed me around. However the toilets and showers were awful, very smelly and dirty. That has put me off and I will keep looking for a local gym.

Positive experience: The gym itself and equipment is good, however the toilets and showers let it down. The floor constantly reeks of urine and the showers are always dirty and full of hair.

Fantastic experience: Clean & plenty of workout space. Open 24/7.

Negative experience: Was a member for a few months, was a bit of a down from the start, on the introduction class the guy just seemed to want to get you on his client list for personal training Anyway I kinda brushed that off, done some classes which was pretty good but when there's full class in the studio space is a bit limited The gym itself was fine to start, but recently got much busier and mostly just kids from the plume socialising, sitting around on machines on their phones n chatting, see they use it as a hangout area to look cool Theres limited machines which don't help and I gave up trying to go for this reason, I couldn't just get on and get what I wanted done, waiting around etc I don't wanna work out like that Feel with Christmas and new year coming up it's only going to get worse too

Fantastic experience: The gym is small but has all you need there. New and varied equipment (cardio, resistance machines, mats, weights, boxes) climate controlled, classes, personal changing rooms and super friendly staff who are willing to assist the newbies like me. Only visited with a day pass as I'm visiting the area but would go again if I were local.

Positive experience: Just joined. First impressions are favourable (plenty of equipment, temperature ok, atmosphere good), but the cleanliness in the toilets and showers could be better. Looks like they need a thorough scrub/cleansing.

Negative experience: Gym itself is ok. But I find it’s always far to busy to get a decent workout done. (Just my opinion) even when I’ve been on the less busy times it’s been pretty ramo…

Fantastic experience: 24 hour access plenty of parking. Using gym app you can monitor when busy and choose the best time to use the facilities

Negative experience: The most overcrowded gym ive ever trained at equipment in need of refurbishment sanitry standards of changing rooms toilets and showers are awful

Positive experience: Decent selection of equipment, well priced. Avoid busy times if you want easy access to some items. Plenty of lockers and generally gym and equipment is clean

Fantastic experience: As a complete beginner I was looking for a friendly local gym to lose weight. Spoke with a really friendly staff member (young lady) who put my nerves at ease so signed up and had my first 2 hour session today. The gym was perfect for what I need, not overwhelming and the atmosphere was relaxed and laid back, everyone getting on with their thing. Enjoyed it.

Negative experience: Me and my mate have been coming to puregym consistently since august 2021. Recently we have started bringing gym bags to carry straps, knee sleeves etc as they are a hassle to carry. For months there has been no problem with having this around the gym, until today when a Pt called Chloe decided to tell us to put them away. I have no issue with this if it was consistent but one time after a while is ridiculous. Soon after a member entered and carried their bag around and put it on the floor with no issue from the same pt conveniently. Following another entered with an even larger bag and the pt made no effort to tell them to put bags away at all. Don’t come to this puregym if you want good equipment, knowledgeable Pt’s or consistently enforced rules.

Positive experience: Love the gym. Equipment is great and if your like HIIT or CrossFit style training then it’s got most of what you need. Have to say I think the staff could be better. When training a client they have no respect for others using the gym. I have had to move a few times while doing heavy snatch work as they have brought a client right next to me. I have said ‘probably need to move a bit as I am worried I am going to drop a bar on you’ and they don’t seem bothered and just keep going anyway. It’s very disruptive when focusing on technical lifting and to me just shows they are not at a great grade of training or awareness about how people train for such movements, or they would have some spatial awareness and find another spot to take their client too.

Negative experience: The gym staff are friendly enough and the equipment is good but the showers are quite frankly in disgusting condition, one even had mould growing in it. When I queried this with a member of staff I was told that they were regularly cleaned which they clearly are not. I would have thought cleanliness in the covid era would be their upmost priority…..sadly not !

Negative experience: Staff think they’re above members, always staring and making guests feel uncomfortable. Gyms are intimidating to some, and when a member of staff doesn’t smile or speak and just stares it doesn’t help

Fantastic experience: Hygienic and very clean environment. Hand sanitizers and clean drinking water fountain provide. Showers, toilets and changing rooms sanitizers daily.

Negative experience: batty

Positive experience: Fairly nice gym, very nice staff, unfortunately incredibly busy, weekday evenings have to wait to get on machines lose motivation to work out

Fantastic experience: As it was my first time at a gym my expectations weren’t very high but this place is absolutely amazing, very easy to navigate. I had my dad with there with me as he’s a member and he showed me how to use the equipment, I will definitely be coming back soon

Fantastic experience: Great place to get fit. Love the app, as it logs my visits, let me know how many people are currently using the gym, so I can time my workouts for when it's less busy. I can also use the training sessions on the app to get more from my workout. The gym staff/trainers are all friendly to approach and always happy to give tips and advice.

Positive experience: Have a good selection of equipment. Dumbbells go up to 40kg, which is more then enough for most. Top weight kettlebell is 20kg. Staff are very friendly and it's a good atmosphere inside. Changing facilities could have been better but you get what you pay for. I like it.

Positive experience: Really nice gym, opening times suit really well. Only comment is regarding the showers. The design means nowhere to put your bag and standing next to the toilet to get changed with your bag on the floor. Ive seen them being checked by staff of course but can be a bit grotty even 1st thing in the morning.
